A repository for all things salacious, but probably mostly pictures of people who spin our beanies. (By the way, the title is from a Shakespeare quote.)

This week there was an ad in the paper for Air Berlin featuring a toothsome fraulein I can't stop looking at. I couldn't find a copy of that exact ad online, but I did find another picture of the same woman. She's still cute as hell in this one, although the grin she has in the original gives her a slightly naughty edge.

Ach du lieber.

I have had the hots for this woman ever since she first started showing up in Rhapsody ads:

Well in a bit of cyber-detective work (or creepy obsessive cyber-stalking, depending on your view), I discovered that her name is Meghan Miller, an actress.   If I ever get to make GS Lyman: Accidental Motion Picture of the Unknown, she's the actress I want to play Death.

It occurs to me that "Hey, you look like Death!" is quite possibly the worst pick-up line ever.

Unless she's a Sandman fan.

Astute observers may have noticed that I changed the title of the thread from 'Fried in Our Own Grease' to 'Melted in Our Own Grease.' Both are quotes involving lust, the former from Chaucer, the latter from Shakespeare. I meant to use 'Melted' in the first place because it sounds psychedelically sexier (not that anything could be sexier than grease all by itself), but as I was putting the Bartlett's back on the shelf, I slammed my shin against the frame of a chair and, I guess, was distracted by the agony enough that my head became all muddled as to which one I wanted to use. This either demonstrates the power of lust, the power of pain, or the inherent dangers of cheating by keeping a book of quotes at hand.

Mine for probably months now have been (in no especial order) Alexandria, Roxanne, and Tanya.  They are all coworkers, each quite different, and all insanely fine.  No pictures, `cause that'd just be creepy.  Merely idle "wow-you-are-so-beautiful" fondness rather than stalky 'worship' or whatever.  I don't go out of my way to see them or anything, just easy on the eyes when i do.  Gawd, I can't even convince myself that this isn't somehow wrong.

Still, it's usually women I know in person who melt the butter on this cob.  Months from now, there may be a whole new trio(godforbid).

Then I believe you may need to read some old Man-Bat comics, featuring the Ten-Eyed Man.

I have an on again/off again fascination with one of the check-out girls at our local Wal-Mart. Honestly, I think it's the thick framed glasses. Apparently I've developed a new fetish.

Dammit, I'm too old for new perversions!

That's one of the niftiest things I've discovered about the libido.  It really does seem capable of new, unheard of desires right on into one's middling years.

Yeah, I don't want to hear that kind of talk, Mayz. You embrace your freak. Don't make me go all drill sergeant on you!

You know that stoner-acting chick on the State Farm ad?  The one where she and her two males 20-something room-mates walk outside and discover something crushing their car and they summon up Bob Barker from the blackest pits of Hollywood?  There's something about her...

Yeah, he's scary-as-heck in it.  I dunno if he's trying for the same sort of "Look at me, laughing at my own career!"-vibe as Betty White's been doing or what.

Actress Olivia Wilde (House, Tron: Legacy) is married to an Italian prince. However, she will not be married to him for much longer. I am generally loathe to celebrate the disintegration of any marriage, but...

...I find this woman so ethereally beautiful that anything that makes her more available, even if it just means I've gone from having a 5,000,000,000,000 to 1 chance to having a 4,999,999,999,999 to 1 chance, is good news as far as I'm concerned.

The good news is...

You're in the running now!

You also have a jump on me.  I can't even imagine introducing such a wondrous beauty to Claw life:

I've never been so much for 'ethereal', but yes, she has a very pretty face.

(goes off and nurses girl-jock fetish over in the corner over here, dammit)

Well, transcendent as I find her face, I'm happy to report that Olivia also seems to have a fine brainpan as well. She's led a fairly interesting life. Aside from the Italian prince thing, she comes from a family of journalists (her uncles are Alexander Cockburn and Patrick Cockburn), she was purportedly babysat on a number of occasions by Christopher Hitchens (who I personally would fear might actually sit on the baby, but whatever), and her political inclinations definitely seem to swing leftward. *swoon*

Any specific girl jocks? I don't tend to trend that way largely because I've never cared much for jocks in general, but I did see an ad the other night featuring that racecar driver (Danica something?) and I couldn't help but think that she's quite attractive, albeit in a the-first-time-I-see-her-high-five-someone-the-romance-will-be-gone sort of way.

Only of my personal acquaintance, Marxo, so I can name names but I doubt any of 'em would be familiar.
Ms. Patrick is cute enough, but no, not the kind of girljock I have in mind.

I'm not very big on the 'jock' mindset myself. But leaving aside the category "voluptuous movie sirens" (which I seem to have in common with a lot of guys) I generally find "unconventional" to be a big attractor. Hence, girljocks, science nerds, musicians (classical and popular), helicopter door gunners, etc...

As soon as you brought up the topic of brainpower, my assessment of Ms. Wilde shifted a bit, you see. Now, if she also has the triceps to match...

Actually, women who are attracted to ME have almost universally fit one (or both) of two specific patterns, so much so that now I can watch them emerge in a rather scary-tastic fashion every time. Does Ms. Wilde have a good or bad relationship with her father? Does anybody know? Because this could be rather useful in assessing my own chances...

But, back to the topic of girljocks (and musicians) Here's a shot of Joan Jett playing softball

And, as you used to remind me so often when we were thirteen, Marxo, "She's not a lesbian" :-P
