Paul’s delegates are trying to mount a floor fight over new GOP rules designed to limit the ability of insurgent presidential ...

Haven't seen a copy of the new GOP rules, so if you have a link to a published copy I would like to be able to read them. If, as the article states, the "... rules would bind delegates to the outcome of presidential primaries and caucuses, allowing candidates to choose which delegates would represent them at future national conventions. Currently, state parties choose national delegates, usually at state and congressional district conventions. ..." then there will have some heavy discussions going on.

Unlike the Party of Yes We Spend, conservatives don't go along with Republican party leaders just because they may wish it to be so. If the rules are written as the article indicates, and as I understand it, there would be a negation of states choosing the delegates that they wish to have represent them. Anytime there is something that over writes the states' rights to determine their own situation or path, it is not good; regardless of which political party it is that does it.

There's the republican establishment and then there is the conservative constituents. It's no secret that there has been disagreements between them. It may take a few more elections but the establishment will be replaced with those who honor the republic. Conservatives don't suspend their consciousness like the Party of Yes We Spend. Unlike the Party of Yes We Spend, we don't jump on the messiah bandwagon when the word goes out to jump. We don't ask "How High?" and go off on a drunken rant like Matthews. We take time to find out 'what for?'.
