Hi to anyone that may be still checking pams page.  We have been kind of slow getting anything put on here. We forget because Pam is home that people may still be checking.  I talk to Pam every once in awhile. I would like to see her more but life and work seem to get in the way unfortunetly.  She is doing really good. I seen her at my granddaughters birthday party and she is doing well. Her speech to me seems to be improving quite well. She sounds stronger with her voice than before. She walks around quite well. She is a little slower than before but I'm quite sure if theres a way she will speed it up.  I told her take one day at a time theres no rush to do anything after all she has been through. She told me she hasn't had any fun so I guess they went to the casino and she said she came back with more money than she had when she got there, so that was cool.

I will try every once in awhile to get something on here. My computer at home isn't computing any more so I use one at work or the library until it gets fixed or a new one.

Love to all
Sandy

Hi everyone,
Thougth I would see if anyone is still using the page. I have talked to Pam a couple of days ago. She sounds very good. She told me that May 2 will be here last day of physical therapy. She will continue to do the excersises at home. She says she has enough to do around there to keep her busy. Talked to Jonathon and he also told me that she is doing amazingly well. She sure has a strong will.  It has been tested through the years. She also said that she promised Bob she wouldn't have anymore anerysuyms this summer. I told her that will be one promise we will all make her keep.         Love to all will keep things posted every once in awhile. She doesnt mind having company so feel free to visit her if you want.

Love Sandy

Hi everybody,
Didn't know if anyone is still checking pams page so I figured that if you were I would let you guys know she is doing very well. I seen her last weekend and she is amazing.  She is going to therapy three times a week and it is going well. She says she likes the people she is working with. She is talking pretty good also. Her voice sounds stronger every time I talk to her on the phone. I told her she sounds like Pam and she said good that is what she is trying to do. Keep up the good work Pam!!!!!!!
Love Sandy

Re :   Good news revisited! Tues. March 25th

Thank you for the Epilogue Jon!

May I say through this particular chapter of life I have re-discovered just how important "Family" is in times of critical need!  At the same time I was re-introduced to the powerful determination and drive of your mom and dear cousin Pam!  We have all just witnessed how our love for each other (especially in regard to our imediate family) "drives and adrenalizes" us to aquire powers and abilities beyond that of the normal response in stark contrast to "routine" injury in life.  What a "beautiful miracle" Pamela is through this whole ordeal!  What an example of HOPE it was to us if may happen incur a similarly related physical injury in the future! How encouraging it was for "us" to KNOW and to WITNESS that we may be able to bounce back from such a life threatening injury with the intimate love and pure dedication from our family steppin' up to the plate and sitting by our bed side talking and speaking "love, hope, and encouragement" in our ears and gently and consistently to our spirit even when we are unconscious or unaware!

Pam and her family have shown us how our love can overcome ALL things and even more so in Christ Jesus!

So, let it be written ... and so let it be done!
That we ALL saw a complete "MIRACLE" on this side of heaven in this particular chapter of our lives!
Only this time ... it came to us in a very real way, through our dear Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and Dear Friend, Pam, her loving family!!

May we all be blessed in this great witness in the power of our love in Christ Jesus!
Roger

Dear Jon and all,

What wonderful news from you.... I am sure you guys can take care of her right at home with therapy and hopefully visiting nurses. You have all come a long way, as she has, and it is only full speed ahead now.

Love to all of you,
Aunt Ilene

Topic :   Good news revisited! Tues. March 25th

Hi everybody! I just wanted to reiterate what Sandy has already posted. Yes there is going to be a meeting Thursday amongst all the therapist and doctors that have been working with Mom at RIM. The general consensus so far is that she is doing so amazingly well, that more than likely they will decide that she is ready to come home on Friday. Bob was there yesterday when Doctor Horn, who is the doc in charge of Mom's case stopped by. Bob and him had a discussion about when Mom would be ready to go home, with Bob of the position that she is ready now. Doctor Horn said that he tended to agree with Bob, and as long as physical therapy signs off on her, he would be fine with Friday as a discharge date. Apparently the word from physical therapy is go, so unless someone has an objection during the meeting, Friday it will be.

I also discussed this with Mom's case manager at Blue Cross yesterday, and she has already been in touch with the case manager at RIM, discussing post discharge home care and outpatient therapy. I'm sure they will want to make sure that Bob and I can handle all of Mom's needs, and probably sent her to outpatient therapy two or three times a week for a while, and possibly even recommend a home care nurse to come by several times a week. However, let me assure you all that Mom's progress in the last ten days has been nothing less than staggering, and I strongly feel that whatever after care she needs will not be needed for long! She is truly amazing us all with her drive and recuperative powers, but then again, aside from the infection I had little doubt that Mom's a tough ol' bird, and no silly little aneurysm could keep her down!!

Good news everybody! I will make sure that word gets out as soon as we know for sure when she's coming home, even if I myself don't get around to posting. Thank you all again for your care, love and concern over these last few months. It looks as though this story may be coming to it's conclusion!

Topic :   HAPPY EASTER PAM

Hi Pam,

Happy Easter.  Have fun tomorrow with all of your family.  Frank and I stopped at John and Mary Kay's for a little while and John filled us in about all of your progress.  Frank and I are overjoyed with such wonderful  news.  Kris was busy playing with his cars like usual and I told him to give you a Great Big Granny Kiss and Hug.  Now lets see if he does it.  I also told him to give Popbob one.

Keep up the hard work and you'll be home in no time.

God will keep blessing you everyday and make each day easier for you.

Love you so very much.

Love, Granny Mel

Re :   Pam's first update!!!!

HI Pam,

I'm so happy to hear from you.  You've been in my prayers day and night and I knew that everything would be okay.  Kris, tells me that he's seen you, and that you told him that YOU LOVE HIM.  Kris, had this big smile on his face when we were talking about his visit.  I'm in touch with John mostly so he keeps me updated on your progress and I am so proud of John and Mary Kay.  Popbob, I just want to say how much I LOVE YOU.

Pam, I can't wait to see you and we can catch up on Grandma and Granny events.  Like I stated before, my Grandson couldn't have a better Grandma to share his love with.  God, gave me you and I treasure that so deep in my heart.  When you get home, I'll bring over my pictures of Kris in school.

Happy Easter.  God Bless.

Love, Granny Mel
