Hi everybody,

Went to the hospital to see Pam today. Was quite suprised when I got there. She looks really good considering what she has been through the last couple of days. She seemed quite alert. She hasn't been running a fever today and her blood pressure was doing o.k.  She's still a little shakey but hoping that time will take care of that. She is getting 2 kinds of antibotics now and the doctor told me it will be at least 14 days she will be on it before they consider taking her off. They now have the shunt draining on the outside so they can monitor it and drain the infection out through the tube.  The doctor has ordered a soft diet so we can get her back to eating food. She had started eating at Hickory Haven and was trying by herself to do it. She would get a little frustrated but she would try.  Dalene, if you read this you had asked about the codeine. They are only giving her regular Tylenol.
I don't know if anyone had heard that during all of this, that Bob's mom passed away. They are having a small memorial tomorrow so Bob will be busy with that tomorrow, so Sharon and I are going to spend the day with Pam.   So you might want to send him a little message also.   So Pam seems to be doing well, we just need this infection to stay gone and we can get her back on track to therapy.

Will continue to keep you posted. Once again from all of Pams family thank you for the thoughts and prayers

Love Sandy

That is so encouraging Sandy, I hope she continues to get the care she needs and she can get started on to a road to recovery.

Love and prayers to all,

Thank you Sandy!

So0o glad you were able to spend some quality time with Pam at Harper!  I simply LOVE the news of Pam staying on the antibiotics for 14 days before even considering the fact of pulling her off them.  I wonder now if Pam will finally be able to make some headway on fighting off the infection and then get back down to the basics with simply healing her body, gaining some strength to do that, and re-stimulate and assimilate her mind back toward the Pam we all know and love regardless!  She must be so frustrated at this point I cannot imagine!!  You guys are the BEST at love and now  .... "health wars," in which I continue to shout my stand that you will ALL be victorious through this powerful force called love, reinforced in power by family!!

What a wonderful thing to witness!!
Blessings on this day and always!
