Cigarette Smuggling by Fat F&B Managers
Recently, a crew member was arrested, deported, and blacklisted due to
his unwilling involvement in a ring of cigarette smuggling that was
carried out in the port of Palermo. On board duty free cartons of
cigarettes can cost as little as 10 euro, whereas on land in Italy they
cost a minimum of 36 EURO. That is more than three times the cost.
A young Indonesian boy (one of many) was involved in this ring of
cigarette smuggling as he was forced to purchase them on board and take
them ashore to predefined points of sale. The money that was earned
from the sales was then brought back on board and given to the F&B
manger, just as any illegal drug ring acts will dealers, runners and
buyers....except there were no dealers, only a slaverish sale through
innocent crew members who will do anything they are told in order to
keep their job.
I am sure everyone who is reading this knows exactly who the culprit is...
