It's time to back on board.
The good news is that I have lost weight. My clothes fit better but, I don't fill any better.

I had ballooned  up to 250. FINALLY going the other way and keeping it off.

Hi welcome to to group.

I started this group to help me to loose weight  because at the age of 40 I had a heart attack.

As you scan through I have post everything that I have come across that involves weight loss.  I have posted all the diets to see if anyone has tried them and how they made out.

You will also see that I have  very few members and I myself have to been 100% on board with my diet.

I WILL do it this year with a smaller goal.    I WILL loose 50 pounds before summer.

I will be posting  my weight on Sunday mornings.

Here we go again.....

I will once again try ti loss 50 pounds be fore spring


I have easing into it this time instead of jumping in with both feet.

1] Getting more sleep.  Going to bed at 10 pm on a work night and 11pm on a non-work night.


2] Taking all pills along with my vitamins at bedtime.

3] STOP eating take out.  I have good weeks and not so good weeks.

This week I will teach myself  to listen to my "TRUE HUNGER"


We have been told since day one when we are supposed to eat.  Just because the clock on the wall or the time that our mothers have set for us DOES NOT MEAN  it's time for my body to eat.


In order to get back to my "TRUE HUNGER"  according the rules of this diet.
when my stomach starts to rumble    STOP and have a cold class of ice water and wait 30 minutes.

If your stomach is still rumbling in 30 minutes you are hungry.

Most people will discover that after having a cold glass of water that an hour or more will pass until their stomach will start to rumble again.  If you stomach start to rumble repeat the first step with a cold glass of water until you are hungry at the end of 30 minutes.


The gold is to get back to a time when you were doing something that you loved and was not paying attention to the time.

Your stomach starts to rumble and you look at the time to discover that lunch was a few hours ago.


This is your body's TRUE HUNGER'"

Good day to all in here. The name I go by in this here cyberworld is mother_sequel. My real name is Kathy. I am married for 30 + yrs now and have 2 children. 2 beautiful grandkids.
What brings me to this group is weight loss. I am diabetic but too far over weight. Need to work out a bit or lets say a lot. Going on my own, is ok; but would be more fun having a partner or group support.

The Chocolate Diet
The Chocolate Diet is an attractive Fad Diet because it includes everyone's favorite food. Besides Chocolate it also includes pasta and popcorn. This sounds like the tastiest diet ever. Some credit should be given to Lenny Neimark and author who wrote the book The Pasta, Popcorn, and Chocolate Diet although I am unsure if he invented it or just passed it along.

Here Is The Chocolate Diet Plan: Each day is the same, you have to use different lowfat pasta sauces and different varieties of fruits to make it less monotonous.

Breakfast:
• fresh fruit
• fruit salad
• shredded wheat with non-fat milk and strawberries

Morning Snack:
• popcorn
• fruit

Lunch:
• salad*
• pasta salad*
• spaghetti

  * = w/low-cal dressings

Afternoon Snack:
• popcorn
• vegetable sticks
• fruit smoothie: Blend 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen peaches (or other fruit of choice) with 1 cup non-fat skim milk.

Dinner:
• fettuccini w/garlic tomato sauce
• whole wheat pasta primavera
• salad
• steamed vegetables

Evening Snack:
• popcorn
• up to 1 oz. chocolate

All Day:
• water
• carbonated water
• mineral water

The following items are to be avoided while on the Pasta-Chocolate Diet:
• Alcoholic beverages
• Salt/sodium
• Sugars (artificial sweeteners are okay)
• Oils
• Oily fruits (avocados, olives, coconuts)
• High sugar/cal fruits (raisins, figs, dates)
• Fried foods
• Dairy products
• Red meats
• Nuts and seeds
• Unauthorized snacks (chips, junk food, candies, cakes, pies, etc.)
• Coffee/caffeine
• Carbonated soft drinks

Instructions:

Drink 4 glasses of water or diet soda per day.

You can add herbs, salt, pepper, lemon, vinegar, Worcestershire, soy sauce, mustard & ketchup to your foods.

DAY 1

BREAKFAST

Black Coffee or Tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal

1/2 Grapefruit or Juice

1 Toast with 1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter

LUNCH

1/2 Cup of Tuna

1 Toast

Black Coffee or Tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal

DINNER

3 Oz. any lean meat or chicken

1 cup green beans

1 cup carrots

1 apple

1 cup regular vanilla ice cream

DAY 2

BREAKFAST

black coffee or tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal

1 Egg

1/2 Banana

1 Toast

LUNCH

1 cup cottage cheese or tuna

8 regular saltine crackers

DINNER

2 beef franks

THE QUICK WEIGHT LOSS METHOD

This is a severe form of ketogenic diet.It is not easily
sustainable for the long term. It may be useful in breaking
plateaus and in those too impatient to allow their bodies
to take the fat off gradually at its own pace.

NOTHING ELSE IS PERMITTED ON THIS DIET--NOTHING! IF IT'S NOT
MENTIONED IN THE FOLLOWING LIST, DON'T EAT OR DRINK IT.

Eat all you wish of the following foods to satisfy hunger.
If you eat until you've satisfied your hunger but haven't stuffed
yourself, and then feel hungry before the next meal, you can eat
again, but only from the foods listed here. In fact, you're better
off eating smaller meals 6 times a day than 3 bigger meals as is
the general custom. But you limit yourself to this extensive list
of high protein foods.

1. LEAN MEATS, with all possible fat trimmed off. Includes beef,
lamb, veal. Eat it broiled, boiled, OR baked. No butter,
margarine, oil or other fats are to be used either in
the cooking or the eating.

2. CHICKEN AND TURKEY with all skin removed. Broiled, boiled
or roasted, with no butter, margarine, oil or other fats.

3. ALL LEAN FISH & SEAFOOD No butter, margarine, oil or other fats permitted in
preparation or serving. You may have cocktail sauce, horseradish,
ketchup-in moderation.

4. EGGS. Hard boiled preferably. Also soft or medium boiled eggs,
poached, or any type of fried eggs made in non-fat, non-stick pans
without butter, margarine, oil or other fats.

5. COTTAGE CHEESE, FARMER CHEESE, POT CHEESE made
with skim milk and no whole milk.

6. AT LEAST 8 GLASSES OF WATER PER DAY, absolutely essential
(10 ounce glasses). As much as you want of coffee and tea without
cream, milk or sugar. You may sweeten with non-caloric sweeteners
to taste. Enjoy all the club soda, vichy and non-caloric carbonated
beverages you wish, as often as desired.
You may use common seasonings such as salt, pepper, spices,
other herbs, cocktail sauce, horseradish, ketchup. Don't use any creamy or oily sauces
or dressings. No mayonnaise, no salad dressings, no oils, no fats.

NOTHING ELSE IS PERMITTED-IF IT’S NOT LISTED HERE, DON’T EAT IT OR DRINK IT!

The eight <10 ounce> glasses of water daily are in addition to
whatever coffee, tea and non-caloric carbonated beverages you
drink. This is an integral part of the specific internal process put
into motion by the Quick Weight Loss Diet. Much more of your
body fat is burned up than with most other diets. This leaves in
it’s wake the waste products or ashes of burnt fat. [ketone bodies]
They must all be washed out of your system by water which also
serves to relieve any unpleasant dryness and taste in the mouth.

Note: ketone bodies are not ashes, they are the by-product
of incomplete burning of fats.Ketones are to fat as charcoal is to
wood. Ketones can be burned for fuel by your body. Most people
have feedback loops to protect against ketosis-acidosis.

It is desirable to take vitamins daily with the diet, such as a
once-daily vitamin and mineral tablet.

NOTHING ELSE IS PERMITTED ON THIS DIET--NOTHING! IF IT'S NOT
MENTIONED IN THE PRECEDING LIST, DON'T EAT OR DRINK IT.

If you disregard the instructions and eat regular carbohydrates
or sugar or alcohol, you will stop burning up stored fat as
efficiently. Even one indiscretion, one mouthful of ice cream, for
example, will set you back a day or two.

You will lose the most weight on The Quick Loss Diet, most quickly,
if you eat only to satisfy your hunger pangs rather than to gratify
a desire to eat just for the pleasure of eating.

This diet has practically no residue (fiber).Therefore it is likely
that you may not have a bowel movement for a few days, although
not necessarily so. In any case don't be alarmed by any such lack.
[note: extra vitamin C or milk of magnesia is helpful in some cases]
