I recently spoke with a man who, upon finding I am a paranormal investigator, told me the story of the Chicken Man of Oklahoma. He explained that a man was accused of killing his family west of El Reno, OK, I believe he said in the 60s. The man allegedly evaded police and survived off of chickens he stole from farms. Well, I proceeded to look this up on the internet. What I found was similar, but not. I found information about the Abominable Chicken Man from the 60s and 70s around El Reno. These are all reports of Bigfoot sightings, which people initially called the Abominable Chicken Man because many chickens disappeared around the same time in the areas Bigfoot was sighted. One man even reported he witnessed four Bigfoots and shot one, but the surviving Bigfoots carried off the one he shot so there was no body. He reported he had pictures but wasn't prepared to release them because he wasn't in it for the recognition. So I just thought I'd share the information I uncovered about the Chicken Man of Oklahoma. I didn't find any information corroborating the story I heard; however, there are some similarities, except this was a reference to Bigfoot and not a man who was accused of killing his family and subsequently stealing chickens when he was on the run. Anyone else have any information on this topic?

I have never heard of the man killing his family story. I have, however, heard of the bigfoot-like creature. I think the man who talked to you was getting things confused.
