Topic :   Admiral "Madman" Jim Crownover for president 2008!

Save our country!
Vote Admiral "Madman" Jim Crownover for president 2008!
When I am president of The United States Of America I will do what no other candidate is offering.
“America First” is my motto.
These other candidates keep offering to give us change.
How much change will they give us? My guess is 37 cents.
They offer reform! What? Reform their wallets?

I will raise the standard deduction for income tax to $25,000!
That is the only way to give the people a fair shake!
Countries outside America will no longer get special deals and breaks.
It will be America First.

Admiral "Madman" Jim Crownover

The battle for the Juniata River is about to begin.

August 19, 2008 is the date of this challenge for the Duncannon Navy.

If we loose the Juniata will be lost and the Susquehanna will follow.

Then I guess the state will be divided and probably fall into the hands of the communists.

We need any help we can get.

Re :   Governor Rendell is killing off old people.

Governor Rendell's Pennsylvania retired state employees' Retired Employees Health Program (REHP) benefit cuts will force retirees who are on a fix income(Governor Rendell does not give them any cost of living increases) to cut back on prescription drugs and health care. This is a disaster. Many will die. How can we stop Governor Rendell murdering! The federal government should intervene and save the people.

Re :   PEBTF is killing off old people.

Not only are the medical insurance providers corrupt but the is a lot of corrupt outfits out there doing false advertising! If you want to destroy your insulin here is a company that will gladly help you!

http://www.medi-fridge.com

Cool-Fridge 4.2 Liter - refrigerates medicine, food and beverages with thermo-electric technology.

This is either a typical defective Chinese product or you have false advertising on your web page.

That fact is it cools to freezing temperatures, not to 40 degrees, and destroys insulin.

You need to state on your web site that it is no good for insulin!

Here is what they claim!

Medi-FridgeTM products are designed for use as an accessory in the management or use of insulin, Byetta?, an insulin pump, as diabetes accessories, for diabetes and travel, diabetes, diabetes mellitus, diabetes disease management, diabetes management, a diabetes pen, injectable medicines, a diabetes pump, to prevent certain diabetes risk factors, for diabetes self management, for diabetes travel, for those with diabetes type ii, diabetes type II, diabetes type 2, for the diabetic, diabetic care, diabetic control, use with diabetic insulin, a diabetic insulin pump, with diabetic pumps, for diabetic travel, diabetic travel accessories, diabetic type ii, Eli Lilly? insulin, exenatide, glucose control, how to control diabetes, Humalog?, insulin, Humulin? PEBTF is killing off old people.

Once again the Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund is cutting medical benefits and raising fees for retired employees who receive no increase in their retirement checks.

The intent is to cut medical care for the elderly to help them die off. "Let them die and reduce the surplus population."

This conforms to the feral government plan of cutting expenses by eliminating those on social security so there is more for the oil tycoons.

There is no democracy and no justice in the United States. That is where we should concentrate on restoring democracy.

Topic :   Yellow Breaches

28 paddlers in 20 boats ignored the gloomy weather forecast and were treated to a beautiful day on the Yellow Breeches Creek for this year's CCGH 2008 Annual New Year's Day paddle.
Photos of the trip can be seen at

No, not everyone has done this trip on the Juniata !! Could it possible be that I'm the only one NOT to have done any kayaking on the Juniata River ??  Wink

I've only been kayaking for a few years (I got a late start in life on the kayaking thing). All of my river paddling has been limited to the Susquehanna on a few stretches. My wife and I started out paddling Dagger Blackwater 10.5 rec boats a few years ago, next we bought Wave Sport Diesels(65 & 75) river runner/creek boats that we paddled for about a year, and last year we got Wave Sport EZGs(50 & 60) river runner/playboats.

Most of our early trips were outings around Millersburg, my hometown. Both above and below Millersburg. Most trips putting in at Millersburg either just below or just above the ferry wall and paddling upstream until we tired of that (usually around or just above the head of the Mahantango mountain or a few trips somewhere uptream further on the flat stretch nearer Paxton) and then paddling back downstream to Millersburg. A few shuttle trips from Millersburg down to the Fish Commision launch area between Millersburg and Halifax. Also a couple of park and play session putting in at Millersburg and playing the ferry wall breaks across the river to the other side and then back again.
Also couple of trips on the stretch from Duncannon down to the Fort Hunter boat launch.

After starting to paddle the Diesels we did a few park and play sessions at McKee's Half Falls near Port Trevorton. This is a great area with a nice picnic stop/rest area just off the highway. Nice place for a after paddle picnic.
Also many park and play sessions at the Dauphin Narrows. Also a few shuttle trips from Dauphin down to either the Fort Hunter boat launch or downstream further to a couple of takeouts just below the Rockville bridge or just above the 81 bridge.

Last year after getting into the WS EZGs we did most of our river paddling in the Dauphin Narrows and also explored the ledges both above and below the Rockville Bridge.

Thanks for the Juniata info and links to some pictures of your trips on the Howe Park to Ken's Beach section. Looks like a few interesting features there. We'll have to try to catch a trip on that section this coming year to see what we can see !

Topic :   Iroquois Falls

It was a beautiful day on the Juniata River today! We went from Howe Park to Ken's Beach. The water was about 4.7 on the Newport gauge. I took my new Pungo. We played for a while at Iroquois Falls and the waves from the ledges downstream very big. This was my birthday trip!
This short trip took about 2.5 hours. We took out at Ken's Beach and had a great barbecue.
