I was wondering if you could post every day what you eat and anything else you find helpful.  I don't mean I'm going to eat what you eat but it would be good to see how your day goes.  I am once again struggling with hunger.  Thanks.

I will attempt to do this if it is helpful to you. I'll think on it first, but probably react on Monday. Truthfully I had a very poor week and I would be ashamed to post the junk foods I reverted to.

But because it is INSPIRATIONAL Eating, I need to return to wholesome foods and forget the past week which is behind me. I think you will find it amazing how little in food portions I can get away with just to maintain my weight. It shocks me only because DH is truly a glutton, yet he can eat all day, all unhealthy foods and get away with what I cannot. So, we do have a lot of temptations and UCKY foods in this house and it is a constant battle to walk away from temptation. I succumbed this week, I repent, and in actuality you will be helping me to prove my theory that God does indeed hold us accountable. I will try to start tomorrow, but will only commit to a week for time sake.

Yesterday was a good eating day. If I return to 7 days out of the week as a pattern of today, I will see a loss. I had no hunger and I ate until satisfied.

1/2 c skim milk
coffee
water
1 banana
1 slice Muenster cheese
1/2 c low fat cottage cheese
8 oz "slumgullion" (ground round, macaroni, onion, peas, tomato sauce)
1 cranberry muffin

Whatever that slumgullion is it sounds good!!!  You're right, you don't eat much.  I'm so hungry all the time but if I can cut back maybe the hunger will diminish.  You always wonder about that stuff about slowing down the metabolism but lately I've read that it isn't necessarily so.

Carol, how do you do with drinking water? It is really the only no calorie natural aid in diminishing hunger. There is actually a way to diminish hunger. It is mistakenly said to shrink your stomach. We can't do that but the body does adjust quite nicely into training it with smaller portions. That is the gist of IE where we no longer eat until full, but instead until satisfied. Grasping that concept and staying with it a few weeks really retrains the tummy. It is a raity for me to feel hunger at all. Another concept is when the stomach growells people assume that means hunger. It does not always. It is the process of the stomach acids breaking down stomach content, or something like that as I explain in layman terms. I did not think this up but someone told me when their sdtomach growls they take it as a sign that God wants them to pray--it has been too long.

Yesterday was not as good as Monday. I mindlessly ate potato chips and it was not from hunger or craving, just sheer boredom and wanting to chew. Once I eat junk, I eat more junk. I also ate too early in the day and that leads to overindulgence the entire day, at least for me.

1/2 cup skim milk
coffee
water
1 egg
1 slice rye bread
1 TBL light mayo
1 tomato
1 slice Munster cheese
1 cranberry muffin
1 banana
8 oz of spaghetti with mushrooms, ground round and Parmesan cheese
probably about 4-5 handfuls or more of potato chips
1 candy bar

As I read this list, I wonder what in the world I was thinking of, and I realize there was not one prayer said regarding meals yesterday. Ouch!

Somehow my yesterdays post isn't showing up.  I'll have to check and make sure it does from now on.  Good to see you're back on track.  I carry a glass of water with me but when I don't eat, I tend not to drink so I'd say I'm not a good water drinker even though that's about all I drink.  I asked you yesterday if you'd ever heard of Dr. Frank Smoot and Weight Loss God's Way.  I can't seem to find anything about him except what's on his website and his program is too much for me .....$47+.  It sounds kind of interesting but I guess those kind of things ususally do.  That's how they get your $47.
