I will attempt to do this if it is helpful to you. I'll think on it first, but probably react on Monday. Truthfully I had a very poor week and I would be ashamed to post the junk foods I reverted to.
But because it is INSPIRATIONAL Eating, I need to return to wholesome foods and forget the past week which is behind me. I think you will find it amazing how little in food portions I can get away with just to maintain my weight. It shocks me only because DH is truly a glutton, yet he can eat all day, all unhealthy foods and get away with what I cannot. So, we do have a lot of temptations and UCKY foods in this house and it is a constant battle to walk away from temptation. I succumbed this week, I repent, and in actuality you will be helping me to prove my theory that God does indeed hold us accountable. I will try to start tomorrow, but will only commit to a week for time sake.

Yesterday was a good eating day. If I return to 7 days out of the week as a pattern of today, I will see a loss. I had no hunger and I ate until satisfied.
1/2 c skim milk coffee water 1 banana 1 slice Muenster cheese 1/2 c low fat cottage cheese 8 oz "slumgullion" (ground round, macaroni, onion, peas, tomato sauce) 1 cranberry muffin

Whatever that slumgullion is it sounds good!!! You're right, you don't eat much. I'm so hungry all the time but if I can cut back maybe the hunger will diminish. You always wonder about that stuff about slowing down the metabolism but lately I've read that it isn't necessarily so.

Carol, how do you do with drinking water? It is really the only no calorie natural aid in diminishing hunger. There is actually a way to diminish hunger. It is mistakenly said to shrink your stomach. We can't do that but the body does adjust quite nicely into training it with smaller portions. That is the gist of IE where we no longer eat until full, but instead until satisfied. Grasping that concept and staying with it a few weeks really retrains the tummy. It is a raity for me to feel hunger at all. Another concept is when the stomach growells people assume that means hunger. It does not always. It is the process of the stomach acids breaking down stomach content, or something like that as I explain in layman terms. I did not think this up but someone told me when their sdtomach growls they take it as a sign that God wants them to pray--it has been too long.
Yesterday was not as good as Monday. I mindlessly ate potato chips and it was not from hunger or craving, just sheer boredom and wanting to chew. Once I eat junk, I eat more junk. I also ate too early in the day and that leads to overindulgence the entire day, at least for me.
1/2 cup skim milk coffee water 1 egg 1 slice rye bread 1 TBL light mayo 1 tomato 1 slice Munster cheese 1 cranberry muffin 1 banana 8 oz of spaghetti with mushrooms, ground round and Parmesan cheese probably about 4-5 handfuls or more of potato chips 1 candy bar
As I read this list, I wonder what in the world I was thinking of, and I realize there was not one prayer said regarding meals yesterday. Ouch!

Somehow my yesterdays post isn't showing up. I'll have to check and make sure it does from now on. Good to see you're back on track. I carry a glass of water with me but when I don't eat, I tend not to drink so I'd say I'm not a good water drinker even though that's about all I drink. I asked you yesterday if you'd ever heard of Dr. Frank Smoot and Weight Loss God's Way. I can't seem to find anything about him except what's on his website and his program is too much for me .....$47+. It sounds kind of interesting but I guess those kind of things ususally do. That's how they get your $47.

I briefly know of him. but I see publicity is almost nil. I can not place any credibility upon yet another plan when weight loss is a simple matter of portion control. Here is one person's review: Reverberating Fat? - Cure it God's Way! | Dieting, drugs, and pills - I tried everything, but regained the weight I lost a few weeks back. I wanted a natural healing technique that can help me shed those extra pounds permanently.
There were jillions of books available over the Web that confused me all the more. A number of them professed to provide a magic mantra for weight loss. But, believe me most of them simply revolved around discussing the problem and didn't provide any substantial solution. There were yet others that were mere stratagems! Thankfully, "Weight Loss God's Way" is not one of these lots. "Weight Loss God's Way" is written by Dr. Frank B. Smoot who is a weight loss coach and counselor.
Dr. Frank has written this special report with a motto of "Stop Dieting". He rather believes in renewing mind to acquire a slim and strong body. In fact, he is set out on a mobile mission with the sole motive of getting the word out on the incredible cogency of this program. An impressive thing is that he is inviting queries from Christian church groups across the world so that the program proves to be a benefit for all.
In his report, the author has given a step-by-step process for lasting weight loss. Follow them once and it disappears forever. And, the most impressive fact about the report is that it is an apt amalgam of instances from the Holy Bible and clinical research. He avers to discard the traditional diet and exercise approach.
In the report, the author has rendered genuine information on how to gain the healthiest weight and retain it forever. With his tips, he has tried to pull people out of the vicious circle of weight loss and regain. Following the steps he has mentioned, you will not only lose the weight forever, but you will also be out of the stress and struggle that must have been an essential part of the programs you followed till now. And, the best part is that it takes just 7 weeks! When I read about it, I thought it to be another deceptive promise, but I was wrong. It really worked for me. The 7-week program given in the report is like an auto-pilot. You just put the ignition on, and it takes you to the destination on its own.
An interesting section in the report discusses the theory of why we gain weight. I was amazed to know that it is all in the mind. It is actually "why we eat" instead of "what we eat", that makes us gain weight. Which simply means it is my mind that controls my desire to eat and not my stomach! With this fact highlighted, the author has focused on metamorphosing our thinking. Once we revive our minds, we have automatically controlled what we eat and thus controlled our weight.
I recommend this book for all those who have been dieting for ages and are struck in circle of weight loss and gain. This book is beneficial especially for those who are tired of dieting, herbal pills and workouts. |

Yesterday was another IE day. I had no hunger and I followed my instincts.
6 oz. skim milk coffee water 1 Miss Debbie snack cake 1/2 c cole slaw 1 6" ham and cheese sub
Today is a restaurant carry out dinner. I divide it into two day's portions. Remember portion distortion is what we are used to eating at meals. More tomorrow.

When you say small portions you really mean small!! That's great. I'd like to see the other side of the coin regarding the Dr. Smoot website. He has lots of people giving high reviews on his website. There are usually other views out there. Maybe his site is new.

It is a very favorable thing that you cannot find the other side of the coin to Dr. Smoot. Or else it is too new for negative reports. The Hallelujah diet has gotten so much criticism that I had to tell someone I would not recommend it.
large portion baked scrod large portion hash browns 2 oz cole slaw 1 long john donut

I googled Dr. Smoot and he does have quiet a few sites, Christian and secular. Looks like you'll have a good weigh in this week. Do you eat one meal or several times a day? Just wondering. Praying for your doggies. My DH sees a lot of small animals now that the large animal farms are becoming fewer. How much snow did you get? Keep those home fires burning bright and WARM.
