Operation Gneisenau. Further German gains, up to two miles as the French fall back, several towns and villages taken by the Germans.
Russian Civil War. Such is the chaos during this period that a Georgian-German force clashes with the Turks at Vorontsovka in Georgia, the Turks forcing the Georgian-Germans back.
The Austro-Hungarian dreadnought Szent Istvan sunk in a daring raid by Italian torpedo boats off Premuda island in the Adriatic, 89 killed.

Wednesday 12 June 1918.
Operation Gneisenau. The German High Command calls off the Operation after just three days, they were relying upon a rapid and overwhelming advance, but Franco-American resistance blunted the attacks; ground was gained, including crossing the river Matz and taking Melicocq on the final day, but not enough for the level of casualties.
Elsewhere the French push on beyond Belloy and St Maur.
Russian Civil War. The Germans occupy Tiflis, the capital of Georgia.
From their newly aquired territories in Transcaucasia the Turks probe into northern Persia.

Looking at the map on google, the Tonale Pass has a lot of high sides and should have been a good defensive position. It's all mountainous and rugged country in that area and would be a "B" in winter.

It was only a diversion, the main offensive would go ahead on 15 June in the Piave. To be killed in a mere diversion would be a bad way to go.

Friday 14 June 1918.
Persia. Turkish troops occupy Tabriz; they had first occupied the city for a few weeks in 1915 before the Russians drove them out, now it is the Russians who are driven out.

Sunday 16 June 1918.
2nd Battle of the Piave. On only the second day the Austrian advance has largely stalled due to supply problems and troop exhaustion. Allied aircraft prove invaluable in preventing the Austrians from safely crossing the swollen rivers. Allied counter-attacks restore some ground.
East Africa. German troops enter the Portuguese garrison town of Alto Molocue unopposed securing supplies and maps.
