So back in about 2010, this, Rotherham child sexual exploitation scandal - Wikipedia, finally hit the mainstream news media.  It had been known, of course, by locals for many years.  They filed police reports about it for decades.  Nothing was done by the authorities for fear of 'stirring up racial tensions' or some such rubbish.

It was pretty bad.  I've seen estimates of over 1,500 victims.  When the mainstream media finally acknowledged the scandal, it was thought finally, something was being done, it would never happen again.

Except... it never stopped.  Oh, it seems to have slowed down a bit in Rotherham perhaps but it continued unabated elsewhere.

Telford grooming 'tip of the iceberg', says solicitor

BBC News-18 hours ago
A lawyer who led prosecutions against a child sex abuse ring in Telford has said those cases were the "tip of the iceberg". Former chief prosecutor Nazir Afzal, who also oversaw similar high-profile cases in Rochdale, said he knew "more would come out". Speaking amid calls for a new inquiry, he said there ...

.............But reports of the scale of the abuse, and the background of victims, have been questioned.

Supt Harding, who is in overall charge of policing in Telford, said police and authorities in the town were working with "approximately 46 young people" who were victims of child sexual exploitation (CSE) or considered "at risk".

He added: "Therefore, I significantly dispute the 1,000 plus figure and do feel it is sensationalised.

"Read the headlines, read the reports. What are they actually discussing? They're discussing cases from 20 or 30 years ago, offending back in the 1990s.

"We've never said there aren't cases, there are always cases we are working on and seeking to prosecute."

Ms Allan said "no-one is suggesting there are 1,000 victims on the streets of Telford today".

Ansar Ali, a spokesman for Together Against Grooming, said he had seen evidence about the background of those affected.

He said: "A study on this issue was done by the Office of the Children's Commissioner which dated back to 2013 and, according to that research, a third of victims were felt to be from a non-white background or black minority ethnic background."............>

being surprised that muslims are raping children is like being surprised that hindus have dots on their heads or jehova witnesses are going door to door.

Child rape is an inherent part of them as a people.

Why was this “child sex gang leader” released from prison 17 years early?

https://thesecretbarrister.com/2017/07/31/why-was-this-child-sex-gang-leader-released-from-prison-17-years-early/
Posted on July 31, 2017 by thesecretbarrister

........  Ok, so it’s 7 years. Why is he out after 5?

As ever, the facts are regrettably not fully reported, but reading between the lines, this was a complicated investigation that took a long time to prosecute and bring to trial. The offences occurred between March 2008 and December 2009. We’ve already seen that Ali was not sentenced until October 2012. It is not clear when he was charged, but there was an initial, aborted trial in September 2011. Cases of this type take at least 6 months, and usually longer, to come to trial.

Why does this matter? Because, buried in the Shropshire Star’s report (and at the end of the Court of Appeal judgment), is a hint that Ali was remanded in custody prior to his trial. And time spent by a defendant in custody awaiting trial counts towards the overall sentence. (This is now automatic; in 2012, the judge would have had to have made an order that the time on remand counted towards sentence, but there appears no reason in this case why the judge would not have done so.) And so, putting our figures together, if there was over a year between the aborted trial in 2011 and the sentence in 2012, and a period of between 6 months and a year between being charged and the first trial in 2011, and Ali was remanded for that entire period, that would give us the roughly 2-years to count towards the 7 year custodial term and bring us down, in effect, to 5 years post-sentence............>

So what's the view from the ground, WRS10?

Is this all nonsense invented by a vast rightwing conspiracy of racists or has this shit really been happening for 4 decades without anyone doing anything about it?

"Is this all nonsense invented by a vast rightwing conspiracy of racists or has this shit really been happening for 4 decades without anyone doing anything about it?"

Try a bit of both.  I know some people living in Telford so my bullsh*t alarm fell off the wall when I when I read some of the articles.  However although the scale of the problem reported was laughable there is at core a number of problems that have been avoided for decades.

Go back 40+ years and take a look at trendy "progressive" opinion;

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jul/09/sexual-abuse-1970s-hedonism-children

and more recently

http://www.historyandpolicy.org/policy-papers/papers/the-legacy-of-1885-girls-and-the-age-of-sexual-consent

and why are prisoners let out after serving only 50% of their sentence?

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/big-idea-prison-abolition-social-problems-domestic-violence-a8275636.html

As for abuse rings abusing youngsters the statistically strongest statistical correlation is with night cab drivers - seeing un-escorted youngsters on the street at 2am on a regular basis is a bit of a clue as to likely targets - and Mohamed Mk1  being a kiddie-diddler adds an extra layer;

As time has passed, it turns out the rape gangs were far more widespread than just Rotherham.  The gangs had been operating across the UK for decades and the 'authorities' ignored it in Rochdale, Peterborough, Newcastle, Oxford and Bristol... to mention a few.

That, I think, is the root of the gag order... at least I hope so.  It would speak well of the Brit authorities were they ashamed of what they failed to do.

Britain's Grooming Gang Crisis

So... once again there seems to be a disconnect, WRS, pertaining to migrants, mainly pakistani muslims.
  • On one side, nothing to see... it's all a conspiracy by islamophobes, racists and dudes who talk at the theater.
  • On the other side, at least 1,400 victims of rape gangs in a half dozen cities across the UK, their assailants and enslavers ignored and/or protected by authorities afraid to do their jobs for 2 decades.
Which one is the truth?

........At the time of the incident, a jury was considering its verdicts after hearing six weeks of evidence.........

............The judge said: “He referred to the charges that the defendants faced and some charges which are not proceeded against in relation to some defendants.”

Robinson, whose criminal record dates back to 2005, has a previous conviction for contempt of court.

He was the subject of a suspended prison sentence, imposed at Canterbury Crown Court, after he filmed in court.

He also has convictions for disobeying a court order, possessing identity documents with intent, fraud, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing drugs and threatening behaviour...........

..........He (the judge) said it could mean a re-trial, 'costing hundreds and hundreds and thousands of pounds'..........

Don't worry - all the salacious details will be reported when the verdict is in.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Robinson_(activist)#English_Defence_League

.......In October 2012, Robinson was arrested and held on the charge of having entered the United States illegally. Robinson pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court to using someone else's passport to travel to the United States in September 2012, and was sentenced in January to 10 months' imprisonment.[39][40] He was released on electronic tag on 22 February 2013.

I have heard they had already reached their verdict.

............The judge said: “He referred to the charges that the defendants faced and some charges which are not proceeded against in relation to some defendants.”
I have heard otherwise.

For reporting on a rape gang trial in defiance of a gag order, yes.

He also has convictions for disobeying a court order, possessing identity documents with intent, fraud, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing drugs and threatening behaviour...........

Which is relevant... how?  I mean, the actual details of what happened in at least one of those is dubious, at best.  There is video of the 'assault'... Robinson was defending himself.

..........He (the judge) said it could mean a re-trial, 'costing hundreds and hundreds and thousands of pounds'..........

Nonsense if what I've read can be believed.  The defendants had been found guilty, the court was deliberating on sentencing.

http://zelo-street.blogspot.com/2018/05/tommy-robinson-and-reporting.html

The thing is... Robinson isn't the issue.  What I asked was... have there really been paki rape gangs operating across the UK for decades or have there not?

You see, it's not difficult to find hours and hours of video of muslims behaving reprehensibly in the UK, France, Germany, Italy... everywhere in the EU.  Not a few individuals acting out but entire mobs.

But when one points at these and raises an eyebrow about it we are called all sorts of names and told it isn't happening.

Hours and hours of video suggest something is happening.  Multiple trials of multiple individuals in the UK suggest something is happening.

And then look at this thread.  You're a reasonable, rational person... so it seems yet most of this thread is mainly, 'yeah, nah, nothing going on'.

It's very confusing.

........At the time of the incident, a jury was considering its verdicts after hearing six weeks of evidence.........
I have heard they had already reached their verdict.

There are 3 overlapping trials - the final verdict has yet to come in

Robinson, whose criminal record dates back to 2005, has a previous conviction for contempt of court.  He was the subject of a suspended prison sentence, imposed at Canterbury Crown Court, after he filmed in court.

For reporting on a rape gang trial in defiance of a gag order, yes.

His 2005 conviction was for assaulting an off duty police officer .  His suspended prison sentence should have been a hint not to offfend again.  He was not sentenced for filming, he was sentenced for putting it onto the internet before the verdict was in.  The defendents were found guilty and sentenced to 14 years.  Robinson jeopardized that process.

He also has convictions for disobeying a court order, possessing identity documents with intent, fraud, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possessing drugs and threatening behaviour...........

Which is relevant... how?

Directly, perhaps not. Just that anyone who hitches their wagon to that one is asking to be taken for a ride......

..........He (the judge) said it could mean a re-trial, 'costing hundreds and hundreds and thousands of pounds'..........

Nonsense if what I've read can be believed.  The defendants had been found guilty, the court was deliberating on sentencing.

3 trials remember

Child abuse is not new;

and not a Paki name (nor indeed any Towelhead name) among them.

If the state agencies, such as the police and social services, have been useless for years but are now finally getting round to doing the job that they are being paid to do be thankful for small mercies.
