I note with interest 4 amended Chance cards that appear in the latest UK standard set. It would seem that Hasbro are attempting to improve the status of the Utilities and Stations by making them less insignificant. The 2 usual Chance cards with the directive "ADVANCE TO THE NEAREST RAILWAY STATION. If UNOWNED, you may buy it from the bank" remains, but with the added sting "If OWNED, pay owner TWICE the rental to which they are otherwise entitled". This of course means that if all four stations are owned by the same person they would receive £400. With four spaces to land on, two Chance cards as above, plus a third Chance card, "TAKE A TRIP TO KINGS CROSS STATION" (It used to be Marylebone Station), now make the stations a more lucrative set to get. The "ADVANCE TO NEAREST UTILITY" Chance card has also been amended with the less painful sting "If OWNED, throw dice and pay owner a total ten times amount shown". This would make no difference if both utilities are owned by the same player, though would be advantageous if only one was owned. I don't think Hasbro have gone far enough, perhaps tripling the Stations' rent and paying twenty-fold the amount shown on the dice when on the utilities would have had more effect, or do you think that would spoil the game
