What's everyone think about multiple texting. Should we send them or stick with sending one at a time? Or how about varying it like sending 10 at a time in between sending 1 at a time for a while. Just not sure if it's worth taking the risk of having them not count if they toss the multiple texts.
I just can't see how they could toss all the multiple texts that come in. Anybody know what the other fan groups are doing?
Either way I'm ready to vote with 2 cells, 2 go phones, and dial idol. If I can figure out gizmo I'll get my other computer ready too.
IMO one vote at a time is the best way to go. Why take a chance that your votes for Jason won't count? You can rack up a tidy number of votes, transmitting one at a time. From what we've seen, multiples don't go through (see the A.I. boards thread on text voting from LAST week- I believe it was a Miss Marie post. A poster contacted the company responsible for counting the votes; he was texting multiples, in batches of 20). Only one vote in 20 went through.) Add to that the fact that "power voting" is against A.I.'s voting rules. They reserve the right to throw out multiples. From what I understand the "multiples" function on a cell is best utilized for sending batches of texts to DIFFERENT contacts/phone numbers. The very act of "sending" (transmitting) multiple texts takes a considerable amount of time. In that time, if you're fairly quick, alot of texts can be sent one by one from your cells' outbox. Soul Patrol decided it wasn't worth the risk. The votes were too important to take a gamble.
