Meeting Steve Greene, the Old Trail Master ... http://members.aceweb.com/oldtrailmaster/introduction.htm... over at Crankshaft Crossing in extreme northern Death Valley in the morning. Will be escorting him around Gold Mountain, Tule Canyon and maybe Cucomungo Canyon. He's tried to access this area before on one of his many DV safaris, but has been thwarted by low fuel (he didn't know he could come out at Dyer, Nevada in Fish Lake Valley and get fuel) or blow shocks on his new Nissan XTerra. He's written one DV book (which I finished last night) and working on his second. He's invited me to write a guest chapter, which will focus on DV ghost towns.
