RE:Music you have bought this year?

Nothing by Nothing. As in Zilch. As in Nada. No. None.
I wouldn't know how to operate an iPod if you threw it at me with the instruction booklet, let alone download songs.
But I'm an old fart and like modern jazz, and I imagine there's little of that available anyway online for a decent price. And CDs are getting pretty darned expensive (as if they never weren't), so it's been some years since I bought anything brand new.
Actually, I find more decent music at the thrift store. Usually pay a buck for any CD. Sure, you just can't pop in when your favorite group comes out with their latest, but I've found many of my old favorite rock albums from the 1970s and early 1980s that I wore out my old cassettes and LPs playing so much and haven't replaced. And now and then I come across a CD that's only been out a year or two from my favorite jazz groups.
And since I bought my latest laptop in January, I now have bookoo space to "rip" my CDs to, convert to MP3 files and listen when I'm working on my computer. I've not done it yet, but you can also burn CDs or memory cards of your favorites. And wonder of wonders ... when I go on the Internet, it automatically grabs all the album art, song names and other details. WOW!
