NOVEMBER
***
November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.

 Happy November ladies!

Annnie and LouAnn hope you had nice birthdays last month...:) I left messages on facebook but annnie it looks like you go there as often as I do....LOL!

Can't believe how fast this year has gone!! Time to Christmas shop. UGH!! With 7 grandchildren we decided each one is getting $50 and 2 gifts to open. That alone will be a small fortune. I'll round up some pictures to post of them. Tanner will be 16 next year!

John and I are doing good. He plans on retiring in 2012 but hasn't set a definite date yet. Changes with how his day is going at work....LOL!

I've been having knee problems again. Had arthroscopic surgery in June but  I fell on it 5 days after surgery. I went to therapy and it got better but one day at Curves I got up off a leg machine and something gave way in my knee and I could hardly walk. The doctor gave me a cortisone shot which did nothing....:( Think it's time I quit Curves and find something more joint friendly. Maybe like lose 30 lbs....LOL! Anyway my daughter is going to let me use her recumbent exercise bike as I used one in therapy.

Enough complaining from me....have a great day friends!

Lovely opening page Lou Ann!  I love the little opening poem!!

Hi Bubs!  I do go in face book almost every day but just to play their scrabble game.  I'm there for 5 or 6 minutes tops.  I am so proud of myself because I have started my Christmas shopping online.  Good luck with shopping for all the grandkids.  It's hard to believe that Tanner is going to be sweet 16.  I hate that you are having problems with your knee.  I think your daughter's recumbent exercise bike might just be the ticket.  You take care of yourself!  Wonderful to see your popping in, dear lady!  Pictures would be lovely of all your grandkids.  Seven?!  Wowsers!

We had a very laid back Halloween.  I am definitely done eating candy!  It has gotten colder and it feels like time to set the clocks back.  It will soon be time to be thinking of thanksgiving.  My goodness how time flies!

Waving hi to Dorothy and Lou Ann and Mary Ann and Ayla and all the cuppa girls!  Hugs,

annnieM

RE:NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/01/2011 11:41 AM)

Good Morning and
Welcome to November!

I think November is going to be a good month!   I love your great sign in page, Lou Ann, and the November skin is just lovely, annnieM.
Not only that, but I see we got a visit from Bubs!   Yup.  We're off to a good start!

We felt so bad last night about not giving out Treats.  The mail hadn't been delivered but our next door neighbor had her little red flag up to signal the mail man she had something to pick up.  I can't see the mailboxes from my window, so I slipped out the front door to see if her flag was down yet just as a dad with some very young kids was going by.   It was only 5:30, so I thought I was safe.   I zipped back inside, but too late.  I'd been spotted.  A few minutes later the doorbell rang.   I didn't answer it because the only thing I had to give the kids was Atkins Bars, and I just didn't think that would work.   I really felt bad for the poor little guys.

We watched Halloween type movies instead of DWTS and Castle while we ate our chili ~ which was wonderful by the way.    We watched The Birds and Psycho, and then switched to the old B&W Frankinstein.   Fun, and more chili for tonight!  Yay!

Both DWTS and Castle will be on ON Demand later, so we'll still be able to watch them.

Barb, it's so great to see you!
I can only imagine the challenge of gifting 7 grandchildren at Christmas.  The money is perfect, but you still need a gift to open, and figuring out what kids want now is just tooo hard.  Good luck!

I'm so sorry you fell after your surgery AND you hurt yourself at Curves!   That surgery is so touchy.  I know many people who have had problems afterwards.   I hope your poor knee can heal completely and quickly.  Having MS is challenging enough.

Mike got a Theracycle, which actually moves FOR you, or you can cycle and move your arms yourself.  For some reason I don't understand, the passive exercise is actually better and more effective for Parkinson's patients.   The Theracycle is supposed to be good for MS patients, too.

Let us hear from you!

annnieM, oh, darn.  Too bad about having to eat the Halloween candy youselves.  Ha!

Wow, that border with that tag is great!

I am thinking Thanksgiving, too, and I'm ready to Fall Back. I'm sleeping later and later because the sun isn't coming up until late.    This morning the sky looked like one of those movies about Nuclear Twighlight ~ a thin band of yellow-orange just above the ground, and then dark clouds almost to the ground.  Spooky.

We're expecting another big snow tomorrow.

Sending hugs and welcome to November to the rest of the Cuppa Ladies.

RE:NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/01/2011 4:33 PM)

Hey there Cuppa's!

annnieM, the skin and the header are lovely.  Thanks for the compliments on the page.  I enjoy making it.  The last 2 months my mom has helped me and I think she also enjoys it.  I get all my info together and write it in a notebook.  She then reads it to me as I type.  I make it difficult for her as I add things in all over the place and use stars and arrows for changes and it can get quite confusing.  We muddle through it all somehow, lol.  We had rain for trick or treat...it was miserable out and not many kids braved the weather.  We had about 12 kids....yet my sister Diane said she had 200.  That must be a very busy neighborhood.

Barb, so nice hearing from you.  I am happy to hear that for the most part things are going well.  I hear you on the 7 kids Christmas presents.  I have 7 nephews to buy for and to make matters worse...3 of them have November birthdays.  My Josh is turning 15, Jordan 17 and Brent 24.   How in the world did they get this old??  Just cannot be true.  I look forward to seeing pictures and hopefully hearing from you more often :)

Dorothy...do not feel bad about not having anything for the trick or treaters.  You all should so what our area does....if you are passing out candy you turn your porch light on.  Kids are only allowed to go to homes that have lights on.  Our trick or treat was Sunday, 3:30-5:30.  Mom and I only lasted an hour and we came in.  We were cold and damp and had not had any kids in a while.  I did have pizza but chili really would have hit the spot.  That sucks that you are expecting more snow.  Just too early for that.

They called and my INR was ok this time so same dose and recheck in 4 weeks.  Mom had her hgb checked yesterday and it was way down to 7.9, that means transfusion!  She went in this morning for it and feels much better now.  Today is my bil David's birthday.  I have a lot in Nov......3 nephews, 1 bil, 3 good friends and it was my parents anniversary, makes for a busy month.  I am not feeling at all well.  I seem to have some sort of stomach bug, complete with upset stomach and lots of cramps.  At first thought it was because I was constipated but am not any more and still having all the issues and not liking it one bit.  So I would appreciate some little prayers being said for me.  I am praying it is not something more serious.  I am probably being silly but just have this teeny tiny little anxiousness in the back of my head.  Oh well.

Bigs Fall Hugs to All,

It's snowing, and the snow is blowing sideways.    If we had more snow, we'd be having a blizzard.   Supposed to get an inch an hour overnight.

Shocked that David and not Nancy went home from DWTS tonight, but not unhappy about it.    Nancy should go next.   As long as JR and Ricky are the last two couples standing I'll be happy, especially if JR wins.    Definitely some good dancing going on.

Lou Ann, we have the same tradition for Trick or Treaters, you turn the lights on to indicate you are handing out treats.   Our lights were off, but we still had pumpkins out in front and they saw me poke my head out.   The doorbell didn't ring after that.

I'm glad your INR numbers were good.   I will test again in 10 days (that's next Monday) and see.

I'll definitely send a prayer for you to not have anything serious, and that the cramps go away soon.

GOOD EVENING FRIENDS...

I AM GOING TO START HERE BECAUSE I'M TOO FAR BEHIND...MY POSTS HAVE ALL BEEN EATEN, OR I'VE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE GETTING INTO THE GROUP...IT'S THE SAME AS ALWAYS 'AIMOO' DOESN'T LIKE ME...OH QUIT COMPLAINING MARY ANN...LOL...I KNOW THAT OTHER MEMBERS HERE HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE TOO...SO I HOPE YOU FORGIVE ME FOR STARTING FRESH TODAY...

WELL I COULDN'T KEEP MYSELF AWAKE AGAIN TODAY!!! I JUST GOT MY 'PROCRUIT' SHOT YESTERDAY MY SECOND ONE...MY HEMOGLOBIN COUNT HASN'T CHANGED ONE SILLY BIT...MY NURSES TELL ME IT SOMETIMES TAKES A FEW SHOTS BEFORE IT STARTS TO TAKE EFFECT...ALL I CAN SAY AT THIS POINT IS 'OH JOY' I STILL HAVE PROTEIN AND ENZYME'S IN MY LABS...THIS IS BECAUSE THE KIDNEY'S ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB AND FILTERING THEM OUT...'OH JOY' IS ALL I CAN SAY TO THAT IT'S A NEVER ENDING STORY, ACT & RE-ACT...

BUBS...

OMG!!! IT'S SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU...HAPPY NOVEMBER TO YOU TO...I HAVE TO CONFESS I GO TO FACEBOOK AS MUCH AS YOU & annnieM DO...LOL...

WOW YES IT HAS GONE FAST AND THEN IT HASN'T WHEN I LOOK BACK AND SEE WHERE I WAS THIS TIME LAST YEAR I THANK GOD I'M HEAR, ABLE TO WALK AND TALK AND FEED MYSELF, GET IN & OUT OF BED, AND IN AND OUT OF MY SHOWER, (OH DRATS BUT NOT MY TUB), DRESS MYSELF, PUT MY SOCKS ON & TAKE THEM OFF, I COULD GO ON AND ON...THIS THANKSGIVING I HAVE A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND A HUGE PRIVATE PRAYER TO SAY...I DO PRAY & THANK GOD EVERY DAY BUT I AM ASKING FOR MORE...I WANT MY 3RD STAGE KIDNEY FAILURE TO BE CURED...OH YEA!!!

YEP WHEN THE GRAND KIDS START ADDING UP IT GETS TO BE REALLY EXPENSIVE, BUT HEY YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YA...RIGHT??? GOOD BRING ALONG PICTURES WE LOVE PICTURES HERE YOU KNOW...

BUBS...NOT GOOD TO FALL RIGHT AFTER YOU HAVE SURGERY...NO...NO...NO...ACTUALLY NOT GOOD TO FALL ANYTIME AND PEOPLE TELL ON YOU!!! I HAVEN'T FALLEN SINCE MY RELIEF FROM THE HOSPITAL DEC. 23, 2010...BUT ONCE YOU'VE FALLEN THEY ASK YOU THAT EVERY TIME YOU GO TO THE DR.'S...MY SISTER HAD TO QUIT CURVE'S
TO...NOW SHE IS DOING WHAT I SUGGESTED ALL ALONG SHE IS COMING OVER TO THE 'BIRD SANCTUARY' BY ANN'S HOUSE ALONG WITH HER 'DTR' SARAH AND HER 'DTR' EVELYNNE AND SON 'JR' I MEET THEM ALL THERE AND WE WALK...I THE PARALYTIC HAVE MANAGED TO WALK A MILE AND A HALF THE WHOLE LOOP OF THE TRAIL...MY SISTER IS REALLY JAZZED BY HER BEING ABLE TO DO THIS AS AM I...

WALKING ACCORDING TO 'PT' IS THE BEST EXERCISE...YOU START OUT SMALL LIKE A BLOCK AT A TIME IF THAT'S ALL THAT YOU CAN HANDLE AND YOUR SUPPOSED TO TALK WHILE YOU WALK...WHEN IT GETS TO EASY YOU INCREASE IT AT INCREMENTS OF MAYBE 10-15 MINUTES AT A TIME...THE FIRST THING YOU'LL NOTICE IS YOUR CLOTHES...YOU'LL START DROPPING INCHES LIKE CRAZY...YOU WILL BE REPLACING FAT WITH MUSCLE AND MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THEN FAT SO YOU WON'T SEE THE LBS. BEING LOST FOR A LONG TIME AS YOU BUILD YOUR MUSCLE UP...WALKING OFFERS YOU A GOOD EXERCISE WITHOUT PUTTING UNDO PAIN TO YOUR JOINTS...JOGGING, RUNNING AND ETC IS JARRING TO YOUR JOINTS...IT'S ONLY BEEN A MONTH SINCE I STARTED BACK TO WALKING SERIOUSLY 3 DAYS A WEEK...WALK A DAY REST A DAY THAT'S WHAT MY 'PT' TOLD ME TO DO IT GIVES YOUR BODY A CHANCE TO REGROUP AND FOR THE PAIN TO EASE UP BEFORE YOU WALK AGAIN...

ALL I KNOW IS WHEN I DON'T WALK I REALLY FEEL IT...BETWEEN MY FIBROMYALGIA AND MY ARTHRITIS I HAVE TO KEEP MOVING OR I WON'T!!! DANGER WILL ROBINSON...DANGER...

I WENT INTO A SPORTS CENTER IN TOWN WHERE ALL THE JOCKS GO AND THE DR. THERE DIAGNOSED ME WITH STENOSIS OF THE SPINE AND DEVELOPED WHAT HE CALLED HIS 6-SHOT COCKTAIL OF CORTISONE I HAD TO GET SEVERAL SHOTS AND THEN ALL THE PAIN WENT AWAY, GOOD THING BECAUSE I WAS HAVING A BIT OF A PANIC ATTACK OVER THE NEEDLES!!! I NOW TAKE REALLY EXTRA CARE WITH MY BACK AND WHEN IT STARTS TO GIVE ME ANY PAIN I STOP IMMEDIATELY WHATEVER I'M DOING AND SIT DOWN UNTIL THE PAIN GOES AWAY!!! MAKES GETTING HOUSEWORK DONE AWFUL SLOW AND ALMOST NIL!!! I HAVEN'T HAD A RELAPSE SINCE AND BELIEVE ME WHEN YOUR BACK GOES OUT LIKE THAT YOU ARE TOTALLY OUT OF IT WITH PAIN...

I STARTED OUT WALKING AND I DO EXERCISES A 'PT' GAVE ME BESIDES MY WALKING...NOW I AM STARTING A NEW MACHINE MY GIRLFRIEND HAS TO HELP STRENGTHEN MY LEGS AGAIN SO I CAN RIDE MY RECUMBENT BIKE AGAIN!!! IT'S FIRE ENGINE RED WITH AN AWESOME REAL BRASS BELL ON IT THAT I RING WHILE I RIDE I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I GET MY LEGS A LITTLE STRONGER SO I CAN RIDE AROUND ANN'S NEIGHBORHOOD IT'S PERFECT FOR RIDING AND WALKING...MY BIKE IS EASY TO RIDE IT'S EXACTLY LIKE A BIKE ONLY YOU HAVE A REAL ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED SEAT THAT LOOKS LIKE THE MESH THEY USE IN SPORTS GEAR ONLY IT'S HARD AS FOR A SEAT AND MY BACK NEVER HURTS AFTER RIDING IT...I'S NOT THE ONE WHERE YOU HAVE TO PEDAL WITH YOUR HANDS...I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE ONE OF THOSE AS MY ARMS ARE REALLY QUITE BAD WITH FIBRO AND NOW ARTHRITS...

HEY BUBS YOUR NOT COMPLAINING MORE TELLING IT LIKE IT IS THAT'S ALL AND THIS GROUP IS THE PLACE TO COME AND BE ABLE TO DO THAT...

PLEASE COME BACK AND VISIT US AGAIN SOMETIME AND PLEASE LET IT NOT BE SO LONG...

YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY YOURSELF...

 Hi gals!

Hi Mary Ann!  Lou Ann made the opening page.  It was her mother who helped her.  She does such a wonderful job.  I forgot to wear my Halloween shirt, so I have it on today.  Silly me.  I sure hope your shots are working soon and that your kidneys shape up.  That would be a good Christmas present-your kidneys working again!  You are really lucky to be able to do all the things you do.  I know, since I can't.

Hi Dorothy!  It snowed here yesterday but we don't have much on the ground.  Our first skiff.   I haven't been watching Dancing this year.  I meant to because I thought Carson would be fun to watch, and just when I was ready to tune in they voted him off.  Oh well.  Did you get a big storm??  I also am ready to fall back and I also am getting up later.  The sun always wakes me and it isn't waking me early enough.  I have never thought about the nuclear twilight.  I guess I haven't watched those movies.  Next time take a picture.

Hi Lou Ann!  How lovely that your mom enjoys making the opening thread also!  200 kids is a huge amount for Halloween!  Is Diane the one with the new house??  Glad that you are INR came back OK.  I do hope that you just have a little stomach bug and that it will go away quickly.

I do hope that Bubs will pop in more!

Yesterday, Zarah brought Jeff's carpet scrubbing machine because my folks wanted to borrow it.  Dave went into town and cleaned their carpets for them, bless his heart.  There were so thrilled that they brought pizza out for dinner and we played several games of cards.  Dave and my dad won both games.  So much for being friendly.  There were pretty tickled that Dave cleaned their carpets for them.  I am itching to take down the pumpkins now that Halloween is over.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday!

Ho! Ho! Ho!
We got snow!

Looking out the bedroom window.

Looking out the great room window.

The deck faces East, and seems to have gotten the worst of it.

It's cold too ~ 28 degrees and breezy.   The guys have already 'ploughed' the sidewalks and hand shoveled the driveways AND the porch!  I was surprised by that, but I thought it was great.

When they were through, the kids (er, uh, men) were doing wheelies in the street in their "plough".   Wheeeeeee.

I'm not sure if the city will plough the streets or not.   Unless it's a major through street, they don't plough unless the snow reaches a certain number of inches.    Our street might be considered 'through'.  The 'horseshoe' is not.

I changed my haircut until tomorrow afternoon thinking the snow might not be fun to drive in, but Sharyl said it wasn't bad.   Mike said "Easy for HER to say".  Ha.

We also have an ARC pickup today, and I hope they come.   I'd hate to have to haul our donations back in, not that we put out all that much today.

Mary Ann,  THERE you are!   I've missed you.
I hate to hear that your kidneys aren't improving.

I really hear you about the back pain.  I stand for 10 minutes and then I have to sit.  If I stand and bend, I can't make it for the 10 minutes.   I'm so glad your shots are working for you.

It sounds like a lot of us (most of us) do our shopping online these days.   It was great fun to go Christmas shopping in the old days, but now we can be grateful for the opportunity to shop online.   We have all but one thing either ordered or know what we will be ordering and sending directly to the giftee.   I don't have Mike's things ordered yet, but I know what I'm going to get, at least for his 'big' gifts.  We get burried with catalogs so finding smaller ones won't be a problem.

Mike pitches a fit when he can't get everything he orders for me wrapped.  Never mind that I have made all sorts of pre-wrapped boxes he can use.   Honestly, the man would complain if he waz hung with a new rope!

I've watched all but the last Good Witch movie before, but I haven't seen that one yet.   I'm sure it will be on again, and I look forward to seeing it too.   Ask Ann if she will record them for you the next time they are on.

annnieM, how nice that Zara and Jeff donated the carpet scrubber for your folks and that Dave cleaned their carpets.   I can imagine how much that meant to them!

I took the stuffed Halloween animals down ~ most of them anyway ~ yesterday but we haven't put them away yet.  Their boxes are in the garage.   Mike thinks he wants to leave the boxes there and bring the decorations to them.   I'm not so sure that will work.  For now, they are in a plastic bag in the hall closet so we can go either way.

We took down the outside Halloween decorations, but we still have five real pumpkins out there.  If I can find some fall flowers or something to put with them, I'd just as soon keep them until Thanksgiving.    Or . . . not.

Have a great day, and stay warm!

Dorothy

Yay, Mary Ann is back.  Mary Ann, you do

need to go back in the threads as there are

tags in there for you from Ayla and I.  I am

glad to hear it was Aimoo keeping you away,

I was getting fearful that something was

wrong and you were in the hospital again.  So

happy that is not the case.

I am feeling better today.  No more bleeding.

Did I mention that before, that I had some

rectal bleeding?  I wanted to blame it on

having had to push so hard and perhaps a

hemorrhoid caused the bleeding.  But when

I still did not feel well I was worried.  But I

feel better today and no more bleeding.  Still

not 100% but getting there.  Mom got her 2

units of blood and a recheck of her hgb this

morning an it went from 7.9 to 9.7...still not

the best number but better.  Recheck on Mon.

This weekend some of my relatives on my

dads side of the family are coming to town

for a "Girls Weekend".  My Aunts ... Sandy, Kay

and Penny, my Aunt Sandy's friend Googy

and my cousin Nicki are coming.  So with

mom, my 3 sisters and I there will be 10 of us.

Not sure what we are doing.  But will gather

out at my sisters.  Planning on movies, good

gossip, good food and probably cards or dice

playing.  2 will stay overnight at my sister

Joanne's, 2 at my sister Diane's and 1 here.

We will host my cousin Nicki since we found

out none of my Aunts are too fond of her.

She is too much like her mom and no one

liked her, lol.  Oh well, all family women

were invited as a Auntie/Niece Weekend.

annnieM, your men are not gentlemen!

They are supposed to let the ladies win, lol.

Dorothy, love the snow shots with Sho-Gun

enjoying the view.  In the great room the snow

on the windows looks like mountains in the

background, lol.

Well, I have thinks to get done.

Hugs,

Dorothy using HTML By ♥Kelli♥

Hi Dorothy!  Nice pictures of your snow!I'm glad that you are inside and cozy!  I love the idea of the worker bees popping wheelies on their plow!  Boys will be boys.  Good luck in getting your decorations were you want them to reside till next year.

Hi Lou Ann!  You did not mention that you had some rectal bleeding.  You know if you have this again you need to get it checked out, right?  You have a great time with your ladies weekend!  A nice if you to welcome the unwanted one.  LOL that the men are not gentlemen!  I will tell them that next time we play cards.

Hi Mary Ann!  The shirt you are wearing today sounds beautiful!!  I am tickled pink say you have come back so far, literally from the brink.  You go girl!  1½ mile walking is wonderful!  I'm impressed!  I think it is natural to be impatient about the healing.

Nothing much happening here today.  I wish I could remember what I was thinking I need to do.  Oh well.  Wishing everyone a thrilling Thursday!

Hello Everyone.

Much warmer here today and while the snow is still on the grassy areas, the streets look fairly clear.   I'm going to get my hair cut at noon, and then stop by Michaels and/or Hobby Lobby to see if I can get some sort of artificial Fall flowers to put outside with the pumpkins we have left from Halloween.    I'd like to keep them until Thanksgiving.  If I can't find anything to go with  them, I'll have to put them in the garbage for the mice at the dump.    We'll see how long I hold up actually shopping in the store.

Afterwards we will go to BJ's for late lunch and maybe bring home some carry out for later.   I think we'll do chili one more night before we freeze the rest.  It sure has been good.

Yesterday I put the Santas, Anri wood carvings and Cherrished Teddies "other holiday" figurines in the second Curio Cabinet, the one in the (front? Christmas? morning?) room.    I don't love the way it looks ~ one shelf is way too crowded, but ya do what ya hafta do.  We also haven't found the other things that need to go in there yet.  Once we do, I may be able to spread out.   Or not.   Every day a new Treasure Hunt.

Lou Ann, no you hadn't mentioned that you had some bleeding.  That's scary!   You're probably right about the cause, but it's scary nontheless.   I'm glad you're feeling better.

Wow ~ that sounds like quite the girls renunon.   How fun!

I thought the same thing about that picture of our great room ~ now I have a Mountain View!   lol   Of course it's just snow and frost that was stuck to the window, but I kinda liked it.

Mary Ann, that would be a Christmas present for ALL of us, hearing that your kidneys were healed.   I'm definitely praying for that.

I could not find ANY of my Fall sweatshirts!  Another thing that has gone missing, and rather bazarre because I think I have everything else.

Oh, Sweetie, you really need to be around me so you'd see what whining about not being able to do things I want was really like.  So many are soooooo much worse off than me, but I'll bet I can out-whine 'em all!   Ha.
I think it's awesome that you are walking a mile and a half, no matter what speed you are going!   Vacuuming ~ I've turned it over to Lisa.  We still have a vacuum, and I did use it on the library after we put the styrofoam up on the top, and you should have HEARD the whining.   Hmmm.  Maybe you did, and just didn't realize it was me.   Mother of all pain!   I told Lisa the vacuuming was all hers from now on!
I think you do amazing!

Yes, Sheryl could be my daughter.   I suspect others my age are not chicken about driving in the snow, but since I don't have to, then I can indulge myself.   Lord knows I did enough snow driving in my misspent youth!  I grew up in Minnesota and then lived and worked for 15 years in Omaha.    Mike has always said I just married him to get a chauffeur.
That's not the only reason, honest.  LOL

Yes, ARC came in the afternoon and got our things.

In the Yuku Group easily half the time when I try to save an image it wants to save as a Btmap, so I have to go out and come back in through Thunderbird Firefox.   I really don't like Thunderbird.   It's a serious pain in the tush!    I also don't like having to use Photobucket to post images, so while I love the group, I don't like Yuku.

Oooh, you can have all my catalogs!   I thought ~ hoped ~ when we moved we would get off the lists, but they quickly found us again.   Whole forrests give their lives to fill our mailbox with catalogs!

annnieM, nothing like a nice, quiet day with nothing particular on the agenda.  You know that 'That's the way ~ uh-huh, uh-huh, I LIKE it!"

Have a teriffic Thursday!

Hello Ladies

Hail, hail the gangs all here.

Well, all that want to be anyway, lol.

Nothing new with my so am going to share

a couple of pictures with you all.

My Josh went to his first Homecoming Dance.

His girlfriends name is Stevie.  Josh will be 15 in 5

more days.  I think they are too young to date, lol.

I worry because my nephew Jordan knows Stevie

and said she was sexually active 1 1/2 years ago

already.  When she was just 13.  I pray that Josh is

not that stupid. Boys and their hormones worry me.

I have said nothing to his mom...do not know if I

should or not.  What do you all think?

Next I am sharing Ben and Jake's Halloween pic.

Pretty terrifying, lol.  Jake is 6 and Ben 10.

And here is a pic of their pups.

Harley and Zeke

The one on the left is a cousin, lol.

Now, I finally found my picture of the might Novia sitting on the

top of the aquarium watching the fishy.  LOL.

She did this all the time.  The top was clear with a hole for putting

the fish food in and she would try to get her paw in the hole, lol.

My precious Novia

Well, that is my contribution the the group today.

Hugs,

Hi Dorothy!  I think I could join you in competing for the whiniest baby!  Good luck finding some beautiful artificial flowers to set out with your pumpkins.  Don't you want to bake your pumpkins?  Roast the seeds?  Just kidding.  Maybe Lisa would want them to make real pumpkin pies out of.  We used to do that.  Anyway, hope you had a wonderful lunch out after a good haircut!

Hi Lou Ann!  Oh my goodness your Josh is adorable!  I don't know what to tell you about telling his mom about his girlfriend.  Do you trust that Jordan knows what he's talking about?  A lot of times boys talk badly about girls.  I do think 15 is young to be dating but it's better than 13.  Then again, I had to wait till I was 16, and that certainly wasn't very mature on me.  Ben and Jake look quite spooky!  Love all the pictures you shared!  Your cat was beautiful!

Well I did a whole bunch of nothing yesterday.  My brother called and wanted to bring out pizza for lunch.  He also brought the folks out, so we have a pizza party and caught up.  We had pizza with my folks on Tuesday, than yesterday, and I think I'm getting pizza'd out.  We'll see if we have frozen pizza for dinner, as it is our norm on Friday night.

Hoping everyone has a fantastic Friday!

RE:NOVEMBER SIGN IN

Hi There

We decided not to decorate the outside for Thanksgiving this year.   I wanted to use those pumpkins, but we decided it wasn't work worth doing to try to find "plants" to put with them for the three weeks until Thanksgiving this year.   Next year we'll try to do something that can carry from before Halloween to Thanksgiving.   Anyway, we didn't go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby after all.

At BJ's, Mike had a huge burger and I had a huge salad ~ and we both brought half home for last night's dinner.    I hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot having that big salad.   That lovely green leafy stuff we are all supposed to eat has lots of Vitamin K in it, and Vitamin K works to help the blood clot.  Fine for normal folks, but for those of us on blood thinners, it can get tricky, and I've been having fits trying to regulate the thick and thin-ness of my blood lately.   It sure tasted good.  I tend to try to avoid salads when my numbers are hinky, but I shouldn't.  They'd rather control it by adjusting the meds.   I'd rather not have to mess with changing the meds, which means I have to test my blood more often.

I looked at that big window in the great room this morning with the light streaming in.   You would not BELIEVE all the cat paw prints!   There isn't a screen on that one, but Shogun can see the birds and bugs outside the windows and tries to get them.    I'm going to have a real time trying to clean it!   The shade pulls from the bottom up, so when it's down, it's bunched up on the sill.   This isn't gonna be fun ~ and I suspect it's going to be an ongowing issues.   Sheesh!

Lou Ann, isn't Josh a cutie?    Stevie is really pretty too.  They make a darling couple.   Good Lord!   Sexually active at 13?   Does the girl have parents?!   I know I'm playing into the old double standard, but one really doesn't expect boys to have as much control ~ they should, we just don't expect as much of them.   I hate to see a little girl like that have so little self respect.

Oooh, I would have given extra candy to Ben and Jake!  Cute!!

Ditto the pups.  I thought they were supposed to be "ugly" dogs.  Too cute.

Novia was absolutely gorgeous!   And how cute is that pic of her on top of the acquarium?!

Thanks so much for sharing all the pictures!

annnieM, we did it again.   I was blathering and you snuck in and posted.

I don't think these are baking pumpkins, though they would have been good for carving.   I think we'll just have to feed them to the rodents at the dump.    If I had the nerve, I'd dump them in some open space for the foxes and coyotes and prarie dogs and birds ~~ but I don't.

I think doing a whole lot of nothing is just lovely, and particularly when you're doing it with your family.   Sounds like a good day to me.

Aimoo doesn't want me to post a graphic right now.

Do you believe this?!  Grrrrr.
