RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/01/2012 8:45 AM)

Hi gals.  We have been busy with real life here.  What with more company and jumping & running and having Katie here.  You would think that would be enough, but no, my husband tore out the vanity from under my sink so I could get close enough to brush my teeth and washing and such.  We were thinking we would buy the slanted in base that you see around handicapped accessible sinks, but I thought maybe a nice skirt would look OK and so that is what Dave has been doing all morning, with my supervision.  I think it is going to be absolutely gorgeous.  We were going to go out and buy the perfect piece of material, but we are having a blizzard here and I don't like to drive in snow.  So instead, we rummaged through all the pieces of material I had from way back when I used to sew, and came up with some I like.

Hi Dorothy!  I had never heard about taking the tree down before the new year.  It makes sense that superstition was based on real trees needing to come down before they got dry.  My fake tree is still sitting there twinkling.  I am in no hurry to take it down since we still have not had Xmas with Zarah and Jeff.  We do not know when or if Dave will start his new job.  The last message said they wanted him to come in for an interview the week of the first.  I got a Dan Hill CD from Dave.  It's lovely.  Your first pictures with your new camera are just wonderful!  I also am enjoying your stories about Shogan and the pictures of him.  I love your tradition of watching Dr. Zhivago on New Year's Eve.  That is one movie I do not have what would love to get.  I just need to remember to do it.  It is such a perfect winter movie!

Hi Lou Ann!  Sorry to hear that your sister had a bit of an accident.  Glad she is OK.  Glad that your mother got out early to get to her doctors and that you stayed in the rest of the day.  How wonderful that your nephew came and got your bill down and got you discounts.  Lovely January page!  Thank you!

I was in here yesterday and then got a call that Zarah and Jeff would be stopping by to pick up Katie, so I didn't get to leave a message.  Today they're coming back around noon to do Christmas and have lunch.  After today Christmas will be over and I can focus on the new year.  Wishing everyone a happy new year!

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/01/2012 11:25 PM)

Moving this over from the December Sign In, cuz I really did post it on January 1st.

Did everyone survive New Year's Eve?
Ours was typically pretty tame. The stroganoff turned out quite good and we always enjoy Pride and Prejudice. Probably a tad boring for most of you party animals, but just fine for us.

The winds took two of our wreaths, one on the garage and one on the porch. We were able to find them and bring them inside, but we didn't even attempt to put them back up. I called the company that put the decorations up a few days ago to tell them that whenever they wanted to take them down they could. They told me that they usually waited until the Stock Show (a very big deal in Denver) which is mid January, but they would indicate they could take ours down sooner than later. Too bad they didn't come before the winds did! On the other hand, I'm still enjoying our neighbor's decorations, so we'll let them enjoy what remains of ours.
I really hope those horrible winds are over. Talk about a sinus headache! Tomorrow is garbage day, so let's hope they really are through for a while (like forever!)

We just got a call from Mike's brother Tom. He has so many health problems that when he sounded stressed I assumed he had something else wrong, but no. His wife, Carolyn was just diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and will be going in for surgery some time today, as soon as the surgeon has been able to review the MRI results. There was no indication of where the tumor was located or how big it is or whether it looked to be benign. It was quite unexpected and I think Tom and the rest of her family are in shock.
Please pray for her.

Lou Ann, than you for the LOVELY tag! It's just beautiful and I love it.

Your party tray sounded perfect for New Year's Eve. Do you watch some special movies or the ball dropping or something like that?

We had a perfect view of the fireworks from the 16th Street Mall, but we are maybe 20 miles away and the Fireworks Camera setting didn't work as well as I had hopped. I got vivid pictures, but I also got 'jiggle'. It puts the settings on 'slow' with no flash, and I think it could work well if we were closer. Next time I will try it with a tripod.

Wishing you all a wonderful, happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/01/2012 11:38 PM)

Hello Cuppa's!

Hi annnieM :)  That is a wonderful idea about your sink.  My friend Nan has a skirt on her bathroom sink and I love it.  It goes with her shower curtain and window curtains....same color range and it really adds to the room.  It is also great if you can utilize material that you already have.  Love it.  You will have to send a picture when you get it all done and have the skirt on.
I was hoping to watch Gone With the Wind today but mom did not want to start it since it is a long movie.  But then we watched 6 Shirley Temple movies in a row.  They are not all that long, but all of them together were certainly longer than GWTW was, lol.
I did thoroughly enjoy the movies though.
We watched 1. Baby Take a Bow  2. Dimples
3. Bright Eyes  4.  Captain January  5. The Blue Bird and 6.  Curly Top.  There are still
12 movies in the set.  Mom stayed awake for
them all, that in itself was amazing.
Boy, the January opening page took forever.
It is a busy month events wise.  From now on I will not be using all of them but just selecting the more interesting ones.  We were at like day 25 and I lost the page.  Thank God I had been periodically saving.
But my last save was at 14 so I had to repeat a lot.  I was so exhausted by the time I was nearing the end that I opted to not add as many pictures as I have in the past.  I hope you had a great Christmas with Zarah and Jeff today.  I am not done with Christmas's.  I still have one with my gang and that is not until the end of January.  I also have one yet with my two nurse friends Carol and Gloria.  I am also still waiting on the arrival of my gift from my Secret Santa from my Pet Society group on Facebook.  It could be coming from another country...I have no clue.  I think I am the only one still waiting.
I hope it is worth the wait.  I usually seem to loose out on these kind of exchanges, especially since they refused to set an exact amount on the gifts.  I spent more than I should have but I gave mine a book and had it gift wrapped and sent directly to her.  It was not a new release so not deal on it and it was a hard cover.  But she tells me she has finished reading it a
nd that it was her favorite gift.  Though I think I saw that she got a Kindle Fire for Christmas.  That would be my favorite.  Well, time for me to say tata.
Hugs,

Dorothy, we were posting at the same time, lol.  Not the time I usually see you here.  It is very windy here but not the kind of winds you had.  We watched crap on New Years Eve.  Pure crap TV.  I asked mom to switch over and watch the ball come down in New York about 10 min. before it did.  She went to bed shortly after.  I welcomed in the new year alone with no hoopla.  Though I did hear some fireworks going off.  You will read above what we watched on TV.  I did enjoy my snacks but not as much as I thought I would.  I always thought mom like taco dip...but they made it spicier than she likes and so she had none and she did not want the cheese and beef stick pieces either.  So she shared none of it and I will be eating it all for days.  I am disappointed in Josh.  I wrote him twice on FB about helping with my room and he never responded.  If he did not want to he could have just said so.  I am sad that I have not heard from him since Christmas Eve.  Oh well, they grow up and are too busy for us.  Jason won the 7th grade free throw competition that they did up at the high school to raise money.  People pledged the players by how many baskets they made or a flat fee.  He got a plaque.  He is such an athlete.  Now I really am going.  Good Night!

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/02/2012 9:42 AM)

It's the first Monday of the first week of 2012. Is everyone ready for a brand new year?

My sister-in-law Carolyn's surgery was supposed to happen at 8 AM yesterday, then at 9 then at noon and finally it did happen at 1:30. It took four hours. She has a glioma, which is one of those tumors with 'fingers' stretching into various areas. The surgon said it was a "nasty" one, but we didn't get any details on what that meant ~ nasty because they could only get about 60% of it, or nasty because it looked malignant or something else. They won't know what it is for 72 hours, but they will be doing radiation. I don't know any more than that right now. Please keep her in your prayers.

We watched Gone With The Wind yesterday for the first time in years. I still remember when my Grandmother took me to see it when I was 11, and I fell in love with Rhett Butler (not Clark Gable, but Rhett ) She had actually gone to the premier in Atlanta.
Otherwise it was a very low key day for us. Most of our neighbors turned their outside lights off yesterday, so we will unplug them today. I don't know when they will actually take the decorations down.

We didn't get the high winds yesterday, and so far not today. They have been picking up the garbage earlier lately, so hopefully if the winds do pick up, the garbage will already have been picked up.

annnieM how neat that Dave is revamping the sink so you can use it more easily!

I know a lot of folks leave their Christmas decorations up well into the New Year, and it certainly makes sense since you haven't had your Christmas celebration with Zarah and Jeff yet.

Shall I wish Dave good luck with the interview?  I wish I could twitch my nose and make his business successful so he wouldn't have to take another job.

I'm not familiar with Dan Hill ~ I'll have to look him up and see if I can hear a sample.

Merry Christmas with Zarah and Jeff!

Lou Ann, thank you once again for the lovely new month ~ and new YEAR kick off. It's teriffic!  I know how much work that must be, but we do all appreciate it.

Sorry you didn't watch GWTW with us.  It is definitely long, but oh so good.  Did you ever watch the Pride and Prejudice video?   If not, I will challenge you to watch just one ~ cuz like nuts and chips, I'll bet you can't watch just one.  lol

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. May 2012 bring all good things for all of us.

I DO NOT FEEL LIKE DOING THE BUCKY.

THE BADGERS LOST THE ROSE BOWL.  I

HOPE THAT IS NO INDICATION ON HOW

THINGS WILL BE GOING FOR THE PACK

WHEN THEY GO TO THE SUPER BOWL.

MOM UNDECORATED THE TREE TODAY

AND

JOSH CAME IN AND TOOK IT APART AND

TO THE

BASEMENT AND THEN HELPED ME GET

MY ROOM READY FOR THE BED.  SO

THEY CAN BRING IT ANY TIME NOW.

WE WATCHED THE ROSE PARADE WHICH

WAS BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS.  AND THE

GAME WAS GOOD AND WE WERE IN

THE LEAD INTO THE 4TH QUARTER.

THEN IT ALL FELL APART.  OH WELL!!

NEXT YEAR YEAR IS ANOTHER CHANCE.

HUGS,

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/03/2012 6:33 AM)

Here it is the third day of the new year and both days before this my internet has been broke at least part of the day.  Yesterday it was most of the day!  Not the right way to start a new year.

We had a lovely Christmas on New Year's Day with Zarah and Jeff!  We got some lovely presents from them and one of my favorites is my beautifully tuned wind chimes.  It is called Corinthian Bells and is tuned to C.  Sounds heavenly!  Dave got a mini greenhouse which was a total surprise and the perfect gift for him.  I'm not sure how much time he will have for gardening if he is working an outside job, but we will see.  Our artist friend up the road, Dale Lamphere, gave Dave a black forest ham for Christmas and as a thank you for Dave plowing his driveway in the winter.  We had thick slices of ham and it was delicious!  We also had scalloped potatoes and green beans and hot buttered rum!  Seriously yummy!  Yesterday since the Internet wasn't working we took down the tree and most of the decorations.  My cleaning gal comes Wednesday and we wanted to be ready for her.

Hi Lou Ann!  What a busy month indeed!  I had no idea we had a Friday the 13th this month and I had no idea there was such a thing as tin can day or squirrel appreciation day!  LOL.  I hate knowing that it is national chocolate covered cherry day and I don't have any.  Dagnabit.  How lovely that you and your mom did a Shirley Temple marathon!  Two more Christmases.  Glad it's you and not me!  I hope that your gift from your pet society is a great one!  I did not stay up for the new year's.  I'm getting too old for that.  Instead I just went to bed as normal and read.  So glad to hear that Josh came in and helped you with your room!  Sorry that your
Badgers lost the rose bowl.

Hi Dorothy!  Pride and Prejudice is a wonderful way to start the new year, I think.  I love the long BBC version with Colin Firth!  Sorry to hear that a couple of your wreaths blew off, but glad you found them.  How horrible about Mike's brother's wife.  I hope the combination of the surgery and radiation blast the tumor.  I said several prayers for her already.  Dan Hill sings Sometimes When We Touch, which is my favorite.  He's an oldie but goodie.

My sink skirt turned out very well.  I love it!  I especially love that I can change the material whenever I can talk Dave into sewing a new skirt!  Just now I have two different materials, remnants from the past.  Someday it will get changed, I bet.  For now it is just right, made it out of bits and pieces that have memories.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, happy and healthy new year!

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/03/2012 12:54 PM)

Good Morning

I will apologize in advance for continuing to show sky pictures, but this was the sight that greeted me this morning, and the colors are accurate. I've seen gorgeous sunrises and sunsets before, but I could never just snap a picture from my family room before. There were houses blocking the full sky view so even if I'd bundled up and walked out onto the deck it would have only been a partial sky picture.
I like it here. ;-)

It looks a bit like the sky is on fire, doesn't it?

Thanks for the prayers for Carolyn. I've told Tom that you guys were praying for her, and he appreciates it. She was doing well yesterday afternoon. Had some inability to move her right cheek or close her right eye, and had some confusion, but I think that might be normal after experiencing such an 'insult' to her brain, and of course with all the medications. I guess we won't know anything for a while, so I don't know how worried to be.

Lou Ann, I watched the Rose Parade, but I didn't watch any of the games.  I'm sorry the Badgers lost.
Still, a friend from Oregon in the other group is doing the Happy Dance.  It's the first time Oregon has won in 95 years, I think.

I'm so glad Josh came and helped you get everything done.  He's such a blessing.

annnieM, I'm sorry about your internet being down. Believe me I know how frustrating tht is! Still, you made good use of your time and got your Christmas decorations down, so you're ready for your cleaning gal.

Your Christmas/New Years with Zarah and Jeff sounded purrrfect.

Thank you for the prayers for Carolyn. I fear she's going to need them.

Yes, that's the version of Pride and Prejudice we watch.   I never tire of it.

'Sometimes when we touch' is one of my favorite songs too.   So often I don't know the artist, but Mike always does.   I'm sure if I ask him "who sings . . .", he'll know.

I'm so glad your sink skirt turned out well ~ AND that you can change it whenever you can get Dave to sew a new one for you.   Is there anything he CAN'T do??   What a guy!

Have a Happy Day, everyone!

Dorothy

OMG!!!

I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT BEING ONLINE TO-NITE
I COULD 'PEE MY PANTS'...YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT
I'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH...ANN'S PC WENT ON THE
FRITZ, HER POWER SUPPLY DIED SHE JUST NOW GOT
IT BACK UP AND RUNNING...

I ON THE OTHER HAND
AM STILL 'PC' CHALLENGED MY BROTHER KEITH WAS
DIGGING AND CUT MY 'WIFI' CONNECTION UP IN
SEVERAL PLACES & DIDN'T TELL ME...I SAT DOWN TO
ENJOY AN EVENING WITH YOU GALS ONLINE AND
'POOF' I HAD NO 'PC'

THE COMPANY REP SAYS HE
WON'T LAY THE LINE UNTIL THERE'S A NEW TRENCH
DUG (8" DEEP & 3" WIDE)

I WOULD ALSO LIKE MY BROTHERS TO GET ME SOME
SCHEDULE 40 'PVC' TO PUT THE CABLE IN SO THIS
WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN...AS LONG AS IT'S BROKEN WHY
NOT FIX IT RIGHT...

RIGHT???

ROY SAID HE DIDN'T WANT TO PAY FOR

IT'S 'WIFI' CABLE AND THERE'S 8 TINY WIRES RUNNING
THROUGH THE CABLE & YOU'D NEVER GET IT BACK THE

Still no new updates on my sister-in-law. The right side of her face is paralized, but I don't know if that's something likely to stay or not. She has some confusion, but I think that's to be expected. She's eating well but still in ICU. Thanks so much for the prayers. Tom told Mike last night how much he appreciates them and knows they will help.

Mary Ann, I'm sorry but you must be a memeber of this group to be able to post.

LOL

Hey, give me Roy's address.   I'll be GLAD to 'say something to him'!    Are you kidding me?   They screwed up your PC access and you aren't supposed to say anything about it?    Aarrgghhhh!   I'm so mad at 'the boys' I could spit!    (and I don't care if that isn't lady like!)

It's good to see you anyway, even if it's only for a bit.    I will cross my fingers that he grows a conscience and a sense of decency.    Jerk.

Welcome home, for however long you can stay.

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/04/2012 3:40 PM)

Hello there group!!! Long time no see...

annnieM...

I know about real life butting in for sure on both fronts!!!
I'm

Hi there, girls I have missed my groups so much you'll
never know how much...Your the only way I get through
the holidays...It hurt to not have you gals all with me...
I am beside myself that my brothers don't get off the stick
and on the ball and fix my 'WIFI'...Oh well...

I'm so glad that your 'bath-skirt' came out so well...Hooray
for Hubby 'The Seamstress'...I leave my Christmas decorations
up a long time because it makes me feel good...Generally I leave
my tree up until Jan 6Th. the feast of little Christmas...It's the
difference in the calendars that determines the date...The Julian
Calendar has Christmas falling on 'Jan. 6th.' the Gregorian Calendar has
it falling on Dec 25th...We just always kept our tree up at least
until the Jan. 6th. that way both dates were covered...

I hope you have a great visit with your kids and give Katie a
pet for me will ya??? Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year
to all my friends here at 'Cuppa Gals'...Sorry I'm late but
real life has taken over at my house still...

Dorothy...

Wow sounds like you had a little bit of wind there!!! Glad your
all in one piece but sorry your decorations were picked-up
and swept away to wherever...Oh yeah leave the rest up
you can still enjoy them...I will keep 'Toms' wife in my
prayers for sure and I hope everything goes well with the
surgery...I think it's a little bit of a trick to get good
photos of fire works but it can be done...Better luck
next year...

Lou Ann...

That's a 'Kewl' thing to do watch 'Shirley Temple' movies...I have
some of her digitally remastered colored 'DVDS' I love them...
You should have been allowed to watch your 'GWTW' DVD to...

Again you did an awesome job on the 'Page this time for January'
It just goes on forever and ever with special days didn't it...
I'm glad you stuck with it and finished it it's fantabulous...

Have a great Christmas with your friends and I'm hoping a very
special gift comes for you...You took the time to think about that
gift of a hardback book and that she's already finished it is prove
that she liked it...

Dorothy...

Hi and yes I survived the 'New Years' mine was lame as well...
I tried to stay up until 'Midnight' but I just could not make it...
I got up and went to bed when I kept falling asleep...Lol...
There were a few fireworks going off and it sounded spooky
in my trailer...

Lou Ann...

Sorry you won't do the Bucky this year but your right there's
always next year & the thing is they played a great game
out in front until he very last what a bummer...

Glad you got to watch 'GWTW' but I'm also sad your
Decorations and tree went bye-bye...I haven't gotten
to watch the 'Rose Parade' yet but I have it burned
on my big 'Kahuna' hard drive in my 'Dish' DVR...
I will watch it when I get home from Ann's I taped the
pre-show & all I like to pause on the equestrian grps.
they never give enough time to look at the beautiful
horses in the 'Parade' which are my favorite thing...
Course I love the whole thing, the marching bands, the
floats of all different kinds representing different nations
and all...Disney's float Etc...Etc...Etc...

annnieM...

Oh wow you got one of my favorite wind chimes, a hand tuned one...
They make lovely music when they chime...You'll get a lot of pure
enjoyment from it I'm sure..

My New Year isn't going well at all Keith fixed my leaky faucet,
now there's a leak under my sink...My cable to my 'WIFI' was
broken by my brother Keith before Christmas and it still isn't
fixed!!! I'm afraid to say anything for fear of getting attacked...
I keep on praying every once in awhile for the winning ticket
for the lottery but so far no such luck...If only I could win,
I could pay off all my bills, and get the heck outta dodge...
I'd come over here on the better side of town where I'd be
close to the freeways and in a central location from all my
doctor's...

I also would be totally independent and would not have to ask for
any help from anyone...Oh that would feel so good...Then I would
start paying forward by donating food, winter coats and things to
the 'Rescue Mission' in town they really need it, also I would contact
my local church and see if they had the name of a family that needed
help and I would take care of them...I could always arrange to have things
done even though I am not able to do them myself anymore...

I would have fun paying it forward...I would buy deal in Real Estate
and then rent houses out according to the person's pay scale...
I would then take that money and put in a fund to grow all the time
so I would have lots of money to pay it forward with for the rest
of my life...That would make me feel really good...

Glad of a great 'Christmas day & dinner' with Zarah & Jeff
I wish I could have been there for dinner it sounded so yummy...
Hopefully Dave will have time for his greenhouse he could raise
all your veggies...What fun...

Dorothy...

You won't know anything about the 'Tumor' until the results come
back from the lab...They grade them first into categories they are:
Cell Type, Grade, & then location...Such a lot to think about, keep
in touch with us about how she's doing...I'm praying for benign and
all of it gotten rid of...Keep the face and stay strong for Carolyn's
hubby poor guy...Now they'll both be under the weather...

RE:JANUARY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:01/04/2012 4:25 PM)

WELL MY GOODNESS, I COULD SWEAR I WAS HERE YESTERDAY.  I KNOW I READ THE POSTS, BUT I EITHER DID NOT POST OR IT IS IN CYBER SPACE SOMEWHERE, LOL.  THAT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME.

DOROTHY, I AM CONTINUING TO PRAY FOR YOUR SISTER IN LAW.  BRAIN SURGERY IS ALWAYS SO SCARY AND YOU NEVER KNOW THE OUTCOME.  BUT THE BRAIN IS REMARKABLY RESILIENT AND IS
SO AMAZING IN ALL IT CAN DO.  IT IS LIKE A LIZARD THAT CAN REGROW IT'S TAIL...WHAT CAN BE HARMED IN THE BRAIN CAN OFTEN BE TAKEN OVER BY ANOTHER PART OF IT AND MAKE IT WORK.  I AM
SO SORRY THEY COULD NOT GET IT ALL.  BUT GOD CAN MAKE MIRACLES HAPPEN!  KEEP THE FAITH.
I WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF YOUR WINDOW PICTURES.  YOUR SKY VIEWS ARE SO GORGEOUS.  YOU MAY NOT HAVE YOUR MOUNTAIN VIEW, BUT IN MY OPINION, THIS ONE IS FAR BETTER.  THE COLORS ARE MAGNIFICENT.  KEEP ON SHARING :)  LOVE YOU REFLECTION PICTURE!

ANNNIEM, SO SORRY THAT YOUR INTERNET HAS GONE DOWN 2X.  THANK GOD THAT DAVE CAN FIX THINGS.  AND NOW YOU TELL US HE SEWS TOO?  LIKE DOROTHY SAID, IS THERE ANYTHING HE CANNOT DO?  I AM SO GLAD YOUR SINK TURNED OUT SO WELL.  I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A PICTURE OF IT.  SOUNDS AS IF YOUR CHRISTMAS WITH ZARAH AND JEFF WAS WONDERFUL.  THE WIND CHIMES SOUND TOTALLY AWESOME.  I WISH I COULD HEAR THEM.  THE GREENHOUSE IS A PERFECT GIFT FOR DAVE.  I AM SURPRISED HE DOES NOT HAVE ONE.  HE CAN GET HIS PLANTS STARTED EARLY IF HE HAS THE TIME.   THAT HAM SOUNDS LIKE IT WOULD TASTE SERIOUSLY GOOD.
WHAT MAKES IT A BLACK FOREST?
MY SECRET SANTA CONTACTED ME TO SAY SHE GOT MY GIFT BACK AND ASKED FOR A CONFIRMATION OF MY ADDRESS.  SHE SOMEHOW SWITCHED MY STREET AND MY CITY AROUND.  SHE WAS GETTING IT BACK IN THE MAIL TODAY.  SO I HAVE THAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO.

MARY ANN, ONCE AGAIN I HAVE BEEN SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU.  I AM WITH DOROTHY...LET ME AT "THE BOYS"  I WILL MAKE THEM SEE THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.  I DO NOT THINK THAT PVC PIPE COSTS ALL THAT MUCH.  YOUR BROTHER IS A CHEAP SOB (EXCUSE MY FRENCH).  HE WRECKED IT, HE SHOULD FIX IT AND FIX IT IN A WAY THAT IT DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.  IF NOTHING ELSE, CAN THEY LAY OLD BOARDS OVER THE CABLE ONCE IT IS IN THE GROUND SO THAT THEY CANNOT CHOP IT UP AGAIN?  I BET THEY HAVE SOME OLD WOOD OR BOARDS AROUND SOMEWHERE.  YOU SPENT ALL THOSE YEARS TAKING CARE OF YOUR PARENTS AND THEY NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT IT.  NOW THEY NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOU.  THEY SERIOUSLY NEED TO MAKE THEIR PEACE WITH GOD...I AM SURE HE IS NOT TOO HAPPY WITH THEM RIGHT NOW.  I HOPE THAT YOU ARE WELL OTHERWISE.  AT LEAST ANN HAS HER INTERNET UP AND RUNNING AGAIN SO YOU CAN TALK TO USE FROM THERE.  I JUST SAW THAT YOU POSTED WHILE I AM WRITING SO GOING TO CHECK WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.
BRB
YOUR BROTHER FRUSTRATES ME TO NO END.  YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THERE.  YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET INTO AN APT. OR HOUSING THAT IS ACCORDING TO YOUR INCOME SINCE YOU ARE COLLECTING SSI AND HAVE NO MONEY IN SAVINGS.  YOU CAN GET INTO SOME WHERE THAT IS WARM IN WINTER AND COOL IN SUMMER AND THE INTERNET ALWAYS WORKS.  PLEASE LOOK INTO IT.  IT WOULD TAKE SO MUCH WORRY OFF OF YOU AND AS YOU SAY YOU WOULD MORE THAN LIKELY BE IN A PLACE THAT IS CLOSER TO YOUR DOCTORS AND STORES AND ALL.  AND YOU SHOULD TAKE ANYTHING YOU WANT FROM THE TRAILER.  YOU HAVE EARNED IT ALL.  PLEASE SERIOUSLY CONSIDER IT.  YOU WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER OFF.

MOM WAS IN THE HOSPITAL GETTING A TRANSFUSION AGAIN TODAY.  HER FIRST ONE OF THE NEW YEAR.  WE ARE PRAYING THAT HER NEW INSURANCE WILL COVER COSTS AS WELL AS HER OLD BUT WE HAVE OUR DOUBTS.  SHE CARRIED A RIDER ON HER OLD ONE THAT COVERED WHATEVER MEDICARE AND HER 2NDARY INSURANCE DID NOT.  THERE WAS NOTHING LIKE THAT WHEN WE WERE LOOKING.  WE ARE HAVING HOMEMADE VEGETABLE SOUP WITH TEXAS TOAST FOR SUPPER.  PERFECT MEAL FOR A COLD WINTER DAY.
YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY AND
MAKE YOUR THURSDAY SPECIAL.
HUGS,

Hi Dorothy!  Don't you ever apologize for showing us your beautiful sunrises!  We are living vicariously through you!  Just gorjuss!  About Carolyn, it's probably a good thing you don't know to be worried right now.  Worrying doesn't help anyway.  It was a good thing we got all the Christmas decorations (crap) down.  I absolutely love the wind chimes Zarah and Jeff gave me!  As far as something Dave cannot do, I can't think of anything.  His mother taught him to sew and to cook.  One of the first thing he did for me, back when I first met him and we were dating, was to bake me a loaf of bread.  This was in the old days, before bread machines.  It was scrumptious!  He is absolutely the best!

Hi Mary Ann!  I think your idea of protecting the wires with PVC is brilliant and I would like to shake Roy for his not wanting to pay for it.  What a cheapskate!  If they are going to break it, they need to fix it.  You could give us all his address and we could all write to him.  Sheesh.

Hi again Dorothy.  I could spit at Roy myself.  I agree with you---we need his address!

Hi Lou Ann!  Happy to hear that your secret Santa is finally going to get your present to you.  Side to hear that your mom was an a hospital in getting a transfusion already this year.  I will hope her new insurance pays better or at least as well.  Wonderful that you are having home and vegetable soup for dinner!

Hi Ayla!  Please do make an appointment and go to the Dr. and find out what is wrong with you.  You are definitely in the right groups as most of us do not like doctors and hospitals.  I'm sure you'll have prayers from all of us.  Beautiful picture!

Yesterday morning I had to go to visit with my urologist.  Everything is going well, just a routine visit.  We found out that my guy is going into orthopedics so now I will have to find either a new guy or meets who replaces him.  Sheesh.  After that we went to JC Pennys and did some returns/exchanges.  Today my folks are supposed to come out to play cards and right now Brandee is cleaning.  Tomorrow Rob and April will come down.  A busy start to the weekend.

Wishing you all a great day.  Hugs,
annnieM

I'm so sorry everyone. I've read all the posts, but I don't have time to respond. The day just got away from me. Mike wants to go out shortly to take care of some things and then go for dinner, so I don't know that I'll be able to get back on later today.

Tomorrow Lisa comes, so maybe I can get on when she's here ~~ or not. :-( We'll hafta see.

Until I can do better, Ayla please know you are in my prayers.

Love 'n hugs.

Dorothy

HELLO CUPPA'S
AYLA, GO IN AND GET CHECKED OUT.  THE SOONER YOU GO THE BETTER IT WILL BE AND IF IT IS SOMETHING BAD THE SOONER THEY CATCH IT THE BETTER THE CHANCES OF A FULL CURE.  I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU.  BIG HUGE HUG!!
ANNNIEM, I JUST HATE DEALING WITH NEW DOCTORS.  THAT IS WHY I DO NOT CHANGE MY PRIMARY AS EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT THINK HE IS VERY ATTENTIVE HE KNOWS ME AND MY HISTORY AND I DO NOT HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT ALL.  ALSO HE IS VERY EASY TO TALK TO.  WHEN THINGS ARE EMBARRASSING, IT IS EASIER WHEN YOU HAVE A RAPPORT AND ARE COMFORTABLE.  YOU ARE GOING TO BE VERY BUSY AREN'T YOU?  LOL
DOROTHY, WILL LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING ABOUT YOUR TIME AWAY FROM US AND YOUR MEAL OUT, LOL.
NOTHING MUCH GOING ON HERE.  SO I HAVE NOTHING NEW TO SAY, LOL.  YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.
