RE:AUGUST SIGN IN
(Date Posted:08/01/2011 9:19 AM)

Lou Ann, you've done it again.  Great August Sign in Thread, just lovely.
Thank you so much!

annnieM, you quit putting my very pretty friend down right now!   You looked lovely.

I found myself feeling sorry for Zach, missing this special occasion and your folks 60th anniversary.  How sad that he has deprived himself of these very special times.

Mary Ann, I loved the term Sweaty Equity ~ LOL.  That about describes it here now.

I don't know what was planted except for the Spruce (obvious) and the Maple in the back and Canadian Maple in the front lawn (because I asked the head guy putting them in.  He doesn't speak much English, but enough to tell me that).  No idea what kind or color of roses or what the other plants are.   I will try to corral the builder later and get some information.  Right now the landscapers are controlling the water and we are watering twice a day.   Later they should turn it back over to us.  At least I hope so, since we're paying the water bill ~ lol.

Do you have a Kindle or e-book reader.  I knew you wanted one, but I do you already have one?    I have mostly mysteries saved on mine, but I'd be glad to share.

Lou Ann, I will send you the book.   How fun to be able to loan it this way!
I have all of the Charlie books in hardback, most of them signed, but I bought the newest one for Kindle and I'm reading that now.  (Ok, I've only read a couple of pages, but I have started it.)

We're expecting day 18 of over 90 degree weather ~ nearing 100 ~ but then tomorrow we're finally supposed to be getting a cool front and it may cool off to the 80s.  I like the 80s.

Budget today for me.   Pray for me.

Hi Lou Ann!  Absolutely beautiful opening page!  I always mean to get here on time but I never beat you, nor do I have anything as beautiful as yours.  Thank you so much!  How would you feel about being a co manager?  It's like you already are one.  May I make it official?  How is your mom?  Do you absolutely love your kindle?  I hear they are going to allow you to check out library books on them soon.

Hi Dorothy!  I guess we are always critical of ourselves.   I am fine until I see pictures of me.  That is not what I look like to me.  I am very nice looking in my mind.  I have an inflated opinion of myself.  I feel the same way about my son.  It's too bad he missed everything, so sad for him.  I am thinking about getting a kindle or ereader of some sort.  You can loan books from one e reader to the other?  I have been researching which ones allow you to borrow books from the library.  I have no idea which one I am going to get yet.  We are at 101° on my little thermometer.  Unbelievable!  I like the eighties myself.

Hi Mary Ann!  You are still with the puppies?  I hope that you are keeping cool wherever you are.  How have you been feeling lately!

We went into town yesterday to my folks apartment to see my sister one last time.  My mom said to her "It was nice seeing you, even if you didn't come to see us." My sister said of course she came to see them.  Anyway, she has a problem with talking straight, and most of us understand we should take her with a bucket of salt, not just a grain.  She says that she'll be back in a couple of months and I will believe it when I see it.  She has a divorce to get through and a house to sell.  That stuff does not happen as quickly as you want sometimes.  I am definitely not getting tangled up in her craziness.  After we said goodbye we picked up a few groceries and then went to the Harry Potter movie.  I had just finished rereading the last half of the book, so that was fresh in my mind and they did a very good job.  I'm happy with the movie but sad they are over.  Oh well.

Zarah is here doing office work today, and we got to visit a little bit.  The puppy still has no name and is growing very quickly.  I encouraged her to bring to him by.  We will get to have lunch together and I am looking forward to that.

Wishing you all a wonderful day whatever you do.  Hugs,

This is birthday month for us...Kevin's on the 7th, Leslie's on the 15th, 'Moi' on the 19th...I Love Gladiola's and being from California love the Poppies as well they grew everywhere...Luckily I love both my choices for my Birthstone Peridot is what I have but I love green & lavender Jade as well...Many thanks for the great job your doing...

Dorothy...

I'm going to agree with Dorothy here annnieM, you quit putting my friend down...You look smashing...

Yes I agree Dorothy, Zach will one day look back on this decision he made and realize what he missed and how he hurt his parents...

Oh Dorothy I looked at the final page of 'Our House Is A Very, Very Fine House (I Hope)' How could you ever have doubted yourselves you took great pains to explore new things outside your comfort range and it paid off in spades...Your house is a 'Very, Very Fine House' no I hope about it...Yes you and hubby did a smashing job although I know sometimes you were ready to pull your hairs out...LOL... Not funny Magee!!! I couldn't help myself...I was thinking of my hair at that time I was losing hair like raindrops falling on the plains in Spain!!! I couldn't afford to pull mine out... Whoa annnieM, we must have been posting at the same time almost...Good Morning to ya...

How has the world been treating you & Dave??? Are you both well??? I hope so and pray so...

I was with the puppies five days this week Mon-Fri. Then it was off to the pharmacy, then the grocery store and then finally home...I am so sticky!!! Even early in the morning my mobile is soggy!!! It is 92' outside in the shade right now!!! I believe it's going to be another hot one today...

I'm doing...I am praying that my next check up will show that my Kidney's have gotten a little better...I'd be happy with that...I want to go back on my 'Cymbalta' but the 'PA' that's filling in for Cheryl wants me to keep taking the Celexa!!! Cymbalta does a much better job for me in that it's not only for Depression but it covers some of the pain in my 'Fibro, Diabetes Neuropothy pains, and my Osteoarthritis pains...The Celexa does not cover any of this...I believe that's why I've been in such pain all year long...

It's my own damn fault I don't want to take 'Narcotics' but my Cymbalta is 'NOT' a narcotic and so I'm happy with it...Oh darn, I just hide in my house and I don't go out plus I am short on funds for gas, so I'm really watching my trips here and there...I make no extra trips I go to the bank when I'm at Ann's house on the way home, I also hit the Pharmacy, & the Grocery Store then too...Then I don't go out again unless I have a Dr.'s appt. or it's time to head back to Ann's house...

Going to Ann's house has to be my time in a decent home and I need to enjoy it to the hilt before I go back home to my tin box...I'm trying to do this for it will help me in my depression too!!! Every little bit helps...I like my tin box because it's home I just don't have the money or the ability anymore to fix things and do things myself...Oh well there's still the 'Lottery' and I'm still going to wish that one day I win...Yippee!!! Man do I have plans if I ever win...You have to have hope & faith...I came very close to losing them both when I was in the hospital, but NOT quite!!! They weren't going to get rid of me that easy...

Yeah I think we all have some relatives in our family that do that very thing...Say they visit when they really don't...I have some that don't even say they visit...They just ignore it all together...One day your sister will look back and regret what she's done but by then it will be too late to take back all the hurt...

Oh great you went to see the Harry Potter movie already...I haven't been there yet but plan to go...Ann said she's taking me out to the show on her because it's always nice to come home to her house when I'm there...Yep!!! I leave it cleaner then when I got there, I love her Laminate Hardwood Flooring, the house is now so much easier to clean!!! Just dust mop the Entry Way, Kitchen, & Eating Nook which is all in beautiful Porcelain Tile...Then dust mop the Den, Hallway, Her bedroom & Master-bath which are in Porcelain Tile and Wood flooring too...When you get done dust mopping with a micro-fiber mop the floor is ultra clean...If you put on a pair of white socks & walk around the house they aren't dirty when you look at the bottoms, besides you can walk barefoot all around the house and feel the clean floor beneath your feet...

Oh great!!! You get a visit with Zarah & the big dog with no-name!!! Oh my they must find a name for the dog even if it's only 'BIG DOG' for awhile...I hope there not calling him 'HEY YOU' no all kidding aside you have a wonderful visit with ZARAH & THE BIG PUPPY today should be fun...

Well, it happened again.  I had a long post nearly done and

the whole internet connection closed.  I know I clicked no where

near the area for shutting it down.  And when it all closes it

does not matter that you saved it as that is gone too.  Now I

am too frustrated to do it again.  So short version is:

annnieM, yes, I would love to.  What more can I do?

Dorothy, thanks so much for the loan, what do I need to do.

Mary Ann, I am so happy to hear that you can expect some relief

in the heat.  I worry so about the toll it takes on your body.

Catch you all tomorrow when I am in a better frame of mind.

Hugs,

annnieM

RE:AUGUST SIGN IN
(Date Posted:08/02/2011 8:51 AM)

Good Morning My Lovlies.

We're finally breaking our 90+ streak and should be in the mid-80s today.

Budget Day did go well.  Everything balanced the first time out.  It doesn't always work that way, and especially now while we are managing expenses for two houses!    I still need to create a revised budget for the new house, but I want to wait until everything settles down more.   Trying to figure out where the funding for each house should come from and keep it straight is challenging.
I want the "old" house sold ~ NOW!

annieM, I love your new August page.  You always find the cutest things!

I have two Kindle books out on loan now.  That's a neat feature.  They are marked as 'on loan' and I can't access them until they are returned, just as if they were 'real' rather than virtual books.
When you learn about how to borrow from the Library, please let us know.   I think that would be great!    I've found many books for .99 to maybe $3 by authors I'd never heard of before, and I've really enjoyed some of them.   A few well known authors occasionally have inexpensive books too, but more often the paperback and e-book versions of books by authors I like are the same price, and I find that infuriating.   The Publishers have no expense for paper, ink, printing or distribution, yet they charge as much as if they did.  I end up buying neigher as a protest (and cutting off my nose to spite my face since I don't get to read authors I like).   If I could get them from the library, that would be great.
Check on the link I gave Lou Ann at the end of this post.  The last item talks about an upcoming feature that will allow you to download Kindle e-books from some 11,000 Libraries in the future.

As you know, I have an iPad, but I have Kindle and iBook applications and I also have a Barnes and Nobel app for the Nook, though I haven't downloaded anything to it.   I tend to use the Kindle just because it's so easy to buy books from Amazon without having to re-enter all the billing information.    The iBook download was fine, I just have to enter billing information each time, and you can basically get the same books for the same price on all the Apps as far as I can tell.

I've heard nothing but good things about the final Harry Potter movie.  I think we will wait for it to come out on DVD, but I suspect we will enjoy it as much.

Hey, I saw on TV that yesterday was Princess Zarah's wedding in Edinburough.   I thought it was last week in SD!  Everyone who was anyone was there ~~ again.

Mary Ann, Mike's birthday is this month too ~ the Big 6-5!    He always hated his birthstone, and then we found a lovely ring and later a necklace for me in a beautiful shade of green.   Some of the greens are not as pretty, but these are lovely, and some of my favorite jewelry.
I love Glads and Poppies, too.   When I had my first job in another town and was living on my own, I used to buy myself Glads.  That's a flower that just keeps on giving.  As soon as one bloom is gone, another opens.

I loved what you said in the "Our House" thread so much that I copied it and sent it to Mike.   He loved it too!

Typically of me, I have mostly mysteries on my Kindle App.   My reading is "limited", but hey, I like what I like.   I do have some old favorites like "As a Man Thinketh" and "Acres of Diamonds" for inspiration, but it's mostly mysteries.  Anyway, I'd be happy to loan you a book if ever you want one.

Why does your current PA want you to take meds that don't work as well for you?  Does she give any reason?   Does she LISTEN to you?   That sort of thing really annoys me!

Lou Ann, didn't Amazon send you an email announcing the loaned book?   I loaned one to Mike before to test the process out, but I only saw the "action" on my side.  You have 7 days to open it or it will be returned to me.  Then you have 14 days to read it before it's returned to me.   In the meantime, it's marked as "On loan" in my Library, and I can't access it.
Here's a link on what to do when you receive a loaned book.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/
ref=hp_200549320_receive?nodeId=200549320&#receive

Let me know if you are able to get it, and how you like it.

Have a great day, everyone.

Hi everyone!

Hi Dorothy!  I will check out that link.  I saw that too, about princess Zara getting married in Edinburgh.  Zarah saw it, too, and commented that she spelled her name wrong.  LOL.  So is your iPad backlit?  Or do you use a light?  As for my skin, I always lock out and find something cute to put on.  It hardly competes with your skin at your group.  I need to go look at your house thread, and catch up with what is happening there.

Hi Mary Ann!  Dave and I are feeling fine.  I am happy that I survived the month of July!  My daughter is married!  I hope that your next checkup shows that your kidneys are working better and better.  I've been worried about that.  I also worry about your heat in the trailer and how it affects your fibromyalgia.  I am glad that you get mini vacations at Ann's house.  I think you overdo with that cleaning but happy to hear that she notices it and is going to take you out for a movie!  I did get nice visit with Zarah.  I hope I talked her into bringing the bigger puppy to show us.  Hopefully he will have a name soon.

Hi Lou Ann!  You already do enough to be a manager.  Since you do the opening pages for the month, that can be your baby.  I think that the making of the skin is confusing, but if you ever want to try it just holler.  I hate that you lost your post!  That makes all of us in a lousy mood.  Take care.

I have no idea what I will do today.  My cleaning gal comes tomorrow.  Her work is cut out for her, after all that's happened here.  I guess I will pick up and get ready.  Mostly I'm taking it easy.  Hugs to all,

Happy Hump Day!

Ut-Oh.  There goes our view.
Our new neighbor's house ~

Mike is taking one of the cars in for an oil change and then afterwards we will run by the (old) house to make sure everything is ok.
Not much more on the agenda for us today, though I'd really better try to accomplish SOMETHING.  I've been such a slug for the last several days.

We will have our second day in the 80s today, so I won't complain.   We were supposed to get a downpour rain yesterday evening so they cancelled the Neighborhood Ice Cream Social ~ and then it didn't rain.   It's been rescheduled for next Tuesday, but I doubt Mike and I can go.  We just can't walk like real human beings or stand when we get there.   It's a shame, cuz I love things like that and a good chance to get to know our new neighbors.   Ah, well.

annnieM, I can imagine that after a month and with all that you had going on, it may take your cleaning lady more than a few minutes to put you to rights.   Once she leaves, maybe you can give a great big sigh of relief and relax for a while!

Yes, my iPad is backlit which is pretty nice.  I can even read in bed without disturbing Mike, and of course you can alter the font and font size too.

Have a great day, everyone.

What?  Dorothy posting at night?   Yup.  I'm all upset and begging for prayers.   I really do know my little problems are so small in comparison to what so many of you deal with, but i don't handle them well like you do.  So ~~~ WHINE!

Last night Lynda sent a note saying that a potential buyer who saw our house yesterday had it on his "short list".  Certainly no guarantee, but promising.  I let myself get excited.  Bad move.

She also said the Buyer's Agent asked about the indication that there was water by the furnace, and could we explain why.   Of course.  Four years ago our water heater leaked and we replaced it.  It left a water mark, but we'd never had a problem with water in the basement before or since.   I told her we would go by the house today and check it out just in case, but I was sure there was no problem.

Well Wrong-O, Moosebreath.   There is new water on the floor by the furnace!   I could cry.   We've had all this work done, and now that we are showing the house and someone is actuallly interested in it ~ this!

We haven't a clue where it's coming from.   The furnace is brand new, the water heater is four years old and the AC about the same I think.   We called Steve immediately (it was around 1:30).  Steve is the guy who oversaw all the work done on the house.  He used to be construction foreman here at Meadow Ridge.   He had another appointment to go to, but would go to the house after that and then call us.    It's now after 7PM and he hasn't called.  I'm sure he won't yet tonight.      Does that mean he didn't go, saw it and couldn't figure it out, doesn't care?    I dunno, but one of the hardest things for me to do is wait for someone to come or do or call or whatever it is they promised to do.    I won't be sleeping tonight.

Please pray that whatever it is it is fixable, quickly and maybe without costing the National Debt.   I just can't believe the timing.

Enough whining.    WHINE!

Dorothy

Good Morning!

Steve just called and said the problem was the Water Heater.   I can't believe it ~ it's only four years old!  He said he has been in his house eight years and has had to replace his twice.   I guess they don't build them the way they used to.  Our first one lasted 14 years!
He also said the fact that we aren't running the water now is probably causing it to leak more, since the water is just sitting there.   I don't understand, but I'm just relieved that we have a solution!   He will replace it today, and clean the floor where it is stained.  Thank goodness!   Of course we aren't happy about having to replace the water heater after only four years, but as long as it can be fixed without costing a fortune, I'm happy.
It's really a good thing that the potential buyer and his agent mentioned the water because we aren't going into the basement and would never have know.

I slept surprisingly well (with the help of advil and asprin) and woke up not walking like The Mummy this morning.  That was a nice change for me ~
So, today, for this minute anyway, you will be treated to No Whine!  Yay!

Have a Teriffic Thursday, all.
Lisa comes tomorrow so I may not be on early.

Hugs,

Dorothy

I do not understand what it going on.

It happened again.  My browser just shut

down for no reason and I lost my post.

So frustrating...especially since I am more

visually handicapped then usual.  I went

for my annual eye exam today and my eyes

are still dilated.  I have the page zoomed

to 150% so I can see it; through the fog, lol.

Good news is no real changes and my eye

is still maintaining at 20/30 but light

sensitivity is worse.  Nothing to be done

about that at this time as I am not ready

to chance a scraping at this time.  Not

until it gets worse.

Dorothy, I never got the email notifying my

that the book was being loaned.  I have

written to Amazon Kindle to see what can

be done. I am between books now and wish

I had it to read.  Praying that your "water"

issue is an easy fix...I have no clue what the

life of a water heater is.  My sister had to put

in a new one within a month of moving in

to her house.  So not fair.

annnieM, time to recuperate now.  Guest are

gone, house will be clean and nothing but

peace and quiet.  I hope that you are back

to 100% soon.  I would have hated all that

goings on.  It was hard enough for me the

5 days we had family around for the family

reunion and non of them stayed with us.  I

cannot believe that Sam has no official

name yet?  Seems there has been enough

time now to find one they like.  How about

Wills or William?  Then they would have their

own Will and Kate.  But since it is actually

Katie then maybe they should use Willy, lol.

Willy and Katie...sounds good to me.

Along with getting my eyes checked today

I also had my INR blood draw but have not

heard the results of that yet.  Going to get

off not...this is really annoying to read and

type until my eyes return to normal.

Waving at Mary Ann.

Big Hugs for all,

Lou Ann, I loaned a different book to my sister-in-law at the same time, and she got it fine.

This is what it shows under "Manage my Kindle"

Mystery (The Samantha Sweet Mysteries) on loan
Shelton, Connie January 21, 2011
Purchased: January 21, 2011
Price: $4.99
Order Details
Loan date: August 1, 2011
Loan status: Pending acceptance

I can't access it while it's on loan.    I wonder if I used the wrong email address.    I can't see a place that shows me to whom it's been loaned so I can't check a possible typo.

What I THINK I used is laweider@charter.net
Is that right??   If it is, I will write to Amazon, too, and see what's going on.   I'm so sorry you didn't get it.    I probably screwed something up.

Good Afternoon Gals...

Lou Ann...

I am so with you with your disgust with 'aimoo' they keep screwing around with this site and making it worse...I'm okay I just sleep more because the heat is bothering me...I have lived in a house with A/C and when my parents were alive Daddy made sure Mom was kept comfortable...For some reason he didn't feel the same about my health...I was told there wasn't any money to run the A/C so that was that...

Again 'aimoo' shoots you down!!! Once wasn't enough go figure...WoW!!! Lou Ann what's the problem with your eye's and why are you not able to just do your cataracts??? Sounds like a painful and testy procedure to go through...What if you had to drive somewhere???

Now problems with 'Amazon' what's next??? My eye's are problematic too and need to be operated on, you know cataract surgery...I am physically and mentally not able to tolerate two more surgeries at this time, I'm hoping next year...My eye's get dry, and then they blur and it really makes it hard to read anything...

Here's hoping your 'INR' tests are fine and dandy...

Dorothy...

Well glory be praised our temps will be going down or should I say supposed to go down this weekend...Today as soon as noon hit I had to close up the house and it's really smokin' outside now and yes you can fry an egg on your car, or the sidewalk whichever you choose...

I wish I could do book keeping like you do Dorothy...I took bookkeeping in high school but that training has long gone left my brain...

I will stay on St. Jude & Anthony for your house to sell...I stand by St. Jude (He's the patron St. of Lost Causes) St. Anthony is supposed to be another one that helps in this area...Ann makes promises of donations to the St. Jude Hospital Foundation when she really needs to find something and she gets her answer every time...We have both been looking for he key's to no avail for over a week...I mean we were looking everywhere...The other day she gave up and said a prayer to St. Jude and 'whatta' ya know??? The key's were found of all places in the hall linen closet underneath a stack of bath towels!!! A check was in the mail the next day...

Now the reason it was so important to find that key ring is the fact that her mailbox key is on it, and it costs $150.00 dollars to have a new key made for her 'SUV'...Yikes...

I will be excited when I can start purchasing books on my Kindle soft ware on my 'Samsung Galaxy Tab' it will be great fun...I will from then on purchase my yearly 'New Pill Book'...To name one...

OMG!!! Yes everyone I've talked to absolutely loved it...Is there some reason you and hubby don't go to the show??? You know if you go during the day the price is cut into half...It's usually the only time I go...I really am not able to afford $9-$10 dollars a show!!! EEK!!!

The Peridot is a very unusual color and I think the only ones that are really cool are from the mines in Brazil...The green is totally awesome...

Yeah Glads also do very well in the house they just have awesome staying power and are beautiful on fireplace mantels and tables as center pieces...

I'm so glad you like my 'Novel' on your our house page...I tend to get long winded when I have something to say...Wow Mike liked it too glad he enjoyed it...

Naturally you have 'Mystery's' on your 'Tablet' what else would you have for crying out loud!!! I would expect nothing less...Have you bought any cook books at all??? Just curious you know me...

My new 'PA' who is a temp until my 'FNP' gets back from maternity leave, said my labs were just the same as last time including my 'Kidney's'...My Kidney's have not gotten worse so he doesn't want to rock the boot by changing my meds back...When Cheryl comes back I will ask her if she thinks it will cause trouble...I understand why he's doing what he's doing, I should just except it just as the way it is...

Dorothy isn't that the way of it, well look at it this way you'll have another new neighbor to meet and look at their house...Take one of those real light camp chairs along they are really cool and work quite well...Miss out on an 'Ice Cream' social get together!!! Oh No!!!

Dorothy...

I prayed the other night that your water problem was a minor fix...Glad to hear it was again the water heater as it could have been way worse!!!

Thank God Steve found it that quick...I know our last hot water heater only lasted 4yrs. as well and I was surprised but hey that's the way of modern living...No relax take a few deep cleansing breaths let them out real slowly...Go to your quiet place where you feel loved, safe, and happy then stay there for awhile...Who cares if you've been a slow slug lately as I not not!!! You and Mike have had a rough year...That's right breathe deep, keep your eye's closed and let yourself drift away...

annnieM...

Hey girl friend my 'Tablet' is back lit too, and yes it is back lit so you can read and play games in the dark...I have my brighten mode set to automatic so the computer on board changes it back and forth as it deems necessary...Love my 'Galaxy Tab'...

You and me both about my 'Kidney' test...At least it didn't get any worse...I'm still praying that my 'Kidney's' will be like the rest of my organs and correct themselves after a long rest...I too am worried about being 3rd stage renal failure...It's making me nervous...

It's the heat & humidity affecting my 'Fibro, & Arthritis' too...Yeah I use the pool and I have about 5 Days to get the house work I do done...I take my time and take breaks in between as well especially in this heat...Glad you had a nice visit with Zarah, and yes do convince her to bring the 'BIG' dog and take pictures pretty please...

Let the cleaning gal come, let her clean your house spic and span and then get into your easy chair take a few deep cleansing breath's and then go to your favorite secret place in you mind...Close your eye's of course and picture it and keep breathing, in and out, and in and out...Have a wonderful day and do absolutely nothing...

HELLO PEEPS

WHEN I WROTE YESTERDAY, I HAD NOT READ DOROTHY'S NOTE THAT SAYS THAT IT WAS THE WATER HEATER, LOL.  I DID NOT EVEN NOTICE THAT POST.  SO WAS  GLAD TO HEAR THAT IT WAS THE WATER HEATER, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT CHEAP.  MUCH BETTER THAN SOME UNKNOWN COSTLY FIX.

DOROTHY, I SENT YOU NEW EMAILS SO YOU NOW KNOW THE NEW PROBLEM WITH COLLECTING THE BOOK.  I AM GOING TO RUN RIGHT NOW TO SEE IF I HAVE A RESPONSE YET.  HANG ON.

DAMN, I SENT THE INQUIRY TO AN ADRESS THAT WAS OUTGOING ONLY SO HAD TO RESEND NOW TO A CORRECT ONE.  SO NOT HAVE TO WAIT AGAIN.  I AM SORRY, I FEEL AS IF I HAVE SCREWED EVERYTHING UP.  BUT I HAVE FAITH THAT WE WILL GET IT ALL STRAIGHTENED OUT.  IF NOTHING ELSE, MAYBE YOU CAN LEND IT TO ME AGAIN AT THE END OF THE 7 DAY CLAIM PERIOD AND THIS TIME I WILL WATCH FOR IT.

MARY ANN.  I HAVE NO VISION IN MY RIGHT EYE AND DEPEND TOTALLY ON THE LEFT EYE.  THE LEFT EYE HAS RIPPLES IN THE SURFACE OF THE EYE IN SEVERAL OF ITS LAYERS....MOSTLY THEY ARE RIGHT IN THE LINE OF VISION.  THEY CAN SURGICALLY REPAIR IT BY SCRAPING SEVERAL LAYERS OF THE EYE OFF AND IT SHOULD HEAL FLAT.  BUT IT IS MY ONLY EYE AND I WOULD HAVE IMPAIRED VISION FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THERE IS ALWAYS THAT CHANCE THAT SOMETHING WOULD GO WRONG OR THAT WITH MY POOR IMMUNE SYSTEM AND BEING DIABETIC THAT I WOULD NOT HEAL CORRECTLY.  SO NOT GOING TO TRY IT UNTIL IT IS WORSE.  I WOULD LOVE TO DO IT NOW, BUT NOT WILLING TO CHANCE MY VISION.

TODAY IS MY MOMMA'S BIRTHDAY.  SHE IS 79 TODAY.  SHE IS ANOTHER MIRACLE IN MY LIFE.  I AM SO BLESSED.  I HAVE NO GIFT FOR HER YET.  JUST NO CLUE WHAT TO GIVE HER.  I CAN USUALLY THING OF SOMETHING BUT THIS YEAR I AM DRAWING A BLANK.  ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY.

HUGS,

Hi Lou Ann and happy birthday to your mom!  She is the same age as my mom.  I have no clue about what to get her.  Actually, my mother will be 80 in September, so she is a year older than your mom.  I'm sure your mom will be happy with anything you think of.  Best of luck.  As for the puppy, Jeff is looking for the perfect name.  I like the idea of Willie and Katie.  How do you like your Kindle?

Hi Mary Ann!  The cleaning gal came and went and my house was clean for a day.  My folks came out all day yesterday and we played cards.  The guys won every game.  Dagnabit.  The company was good, though.  You take care of yourself!

Hi Dorothy!  So glad that your water leak turned out to be only the water heater.  That is easily fixed, and should not be a problem for the prospective buyer, especially since he's getting a new water heater.  I like the idea of a reader that is backlit, but I see that some have built in lights and that would work also.

Dave is off working today so I am alone and I need to do some writing for the magazine.  Wishing you all the best.  Happy weekend!
