Good Morning!

Shower Day ~ Finally!  Hopefully the SteriStrips will come more loose so the Nurse will be able to examine the incision, hopefully without ripping them off!  I have a list of questions all ready to ask.

Sue sent an invitation to another ~ or maybe Phase II of ~ Christmas in July.  She had a ton of supplies left over from the first one, and she is giving everyone an opportunity to come and make more ornaments, she said from 10 Am to 10 PM, or when ever you like.  Better woman than I am!   lol   I told her I'd love to come, but I'd have to see how I felt.  I hate to accept an invitation on a basis like that, but I've been so "puny" these last few days, and I'd hate to go if I'm still so shakey when I walk.   So, well see.  That's on Thursday.  The AC guy is coming on Wednesday and Mike has a haircut so I may have to deal with him until Mike gets home.  Full week.  I'm tired just thinking about it.  Ha.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this crap!   The only thing I can tell you is that my Chrome is working, and I say that only to let you know it doesn't seem to be a problem in Chrome, but with your laptop.  No comfort there, but just a way of eliminating one of the potential causes.  I hope the guy you are talking to online can offer some real help.  Believe me when I say I feel your pain!

Good luck!  I hope you can get this resolved early and have a great day!

I'm off to shower!  smiley101

WELL, AT LEAST TODAY THERE IS A BOX FOR ME TO WRITE IN.  STILL NO LUCK IN FIXING CHROME.  BENJAMIN SENT ME ANOTHER SET OF INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHAT TO DO AND I DID THEM, BUT IT HELPED NOT AT ALL.  SO AM WAITING FOR NEW INSTRUCTIONS.  I FEAR IT IS A VIRUS OR SOMETHING AND THAT I WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH MICRO SOFT AND PAY TO GET IT FIXED, AND IT IS NOT CHEAP.  I RAN MALWARE, SPYBOT AND CLEAN UP AND NOTHING.  I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH IT ALL.  IE WORKS WORTH SHIT.  IF NO HELP TOMORROW, I WILL DOWNLOAD FIRE FOX AND SEE IF IT IS BETTER.  I ONLY PLAY ONE GAME ON FB NOW, AND IT DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH IE AND I HAVE NOT EVEN DONE IT TODAY.  I AM SORRY YOU ARE STILL FEELING PUNY.  I THINK YOU WILL FEEL BETTER BY GETTING OUT AND HAVING FUN.  I KNOW YOU REALLY ENJOYED MAKING THE ORNAMENTS LAST TIME.  HOW IS THE ARM?  ABLE TO USE IT?  IS THE BUMP OF THE INCISION GETTING LOWER?  WE  ARE HAVING CAROLE AND GLORIA OVER ON THURS AND WILL BE CELEBRATING MOM AND GLORIA'S BIRTHDAYS.  TODAY I CLEANED THE BATHROOM AND WASHED THE FLOOR.  JUST CANNOT KEEP THAT FLOOR CLEAN AS MOM DROPS LOTS OF CRAP ON THE FLOOR IN THE KITCHEN AND IT GETS TRACKED INTO THE BATHROOM.  PLUS, MOM HAS LITTLE ACCIDENTS NOW AND THEN. TO TOP IT OFF IT IS A WHITE FLOOR AND SEEMS RESISTANT TO CLEANING.  I HATE IT.  MOM DID THE KITCHEN FLOOR THE OTHER DAY. TOMORROW I WILL DUST THE LIVINGROOM AND CLEAN UP MY SPACE.  NEED TO GET SUZ TO GO TO STORE FOR ME AND PICK UP A CAKE AND A GIFT CARD FOR GLORIA. ALSO NEED TO CHECK INR AT SOME POINT THIS WEEK.  GOING TO SEE IF I CAN GET A TAG POSTED TODAY.  WISH ME LUCK.

HUGS,  LOU ANN

I COULD NOT POST A TAG.  I TRIED THE PB WAY AND NO, THEN THROUGH THE EMAIL LIKE I NORMALL DO AND IT WOULD LOAD BUT THEN IT WOULD NOT LOAD INTO THE LETTER.  LIFE SUCKS.

RE:Welcome to August Chat
(Date Posted:08/19/2015 7:16 AM)

Good Morning!   It's going to be a cold one here today, with the high in the very low 70s.  Apparently that's the normal temperature for OCTOBER, but hardly what we expect in August!

Mike changed his hair cut appointment to a bit earlier today, so he will be here when the AC guy comes to give us a new fan/motor.  ;-)  It will be good to have that fixed, and especially while it is still under warranty.

So, my appointment yesterday could NOT have been better.  They did take me in 15 minutes late, which is getting to be the norm, but from that point it went faster than I could have imagined.  Rather than a tech, I had a nurse so she took care of everything.  She read my new device and then a nurse with more experience with these machines came over and between them all my questions were answered, and very positively.  The monitor does live on the nightstand now and wirelessly reads my device nightly, then every 90 days they read and document the output and will send me a letter summarizing it.  The monitor does have a mouse, but apparently I will only be asked to use it when there is a problem of some kind (battery depletion, broken leads ~ God forbid, etc).  Then I can place the mouse over the device and again wirelessly send them the information it reads.  It sounds like I never have to come into the office again unless there is a problem.  I asked what the current battery status was and when it would be at "End of Life" (the company's phrase ~ isn't that terrible?  ha). It is currently at 3.3 volts (at 2.62 the old one was EOL).

Previous models have had a life expectancy of 5 to 7 years, but my last one lasted for 9 years.  Now they actually show number of years and go by that instead of battery voltage.  The first thing she told me was that the battery life shown on my reading was ~~~~ (drumroll, please) ~~~ 11.2 years!

Of course things could go wrong and if it were used a lot that could wear the battery down, or the leads could go bad or something, but if all goes well, I'm good to go for 11.2 years (or more?)   Yay!    She was able to remove the steri-strips without pain and said everything looked good.  That raised area I told you about is from the connectors Dr Kim had to use to make the new device work with my antique leads.

Now I think my issues will be more with my Aortic Stenosis, which is apparently a bit worse than it was.  I don't have to think about that today.  I'll think about that tomorrow. ;-)

We went to The Keg for my Reward/Celebration and for my reward I chose appetizers in the bar rather than a meal in the dining room.   I had my beloved brie on crostini, and I ate darned near the whole thing myself!  Utter indulgence, and I loved it!   Mike had his beloved shrimp cocktail and smothered nachos ~~ and brought more than half of them home.   We also brought appetizer meals home for tonight and tomorrow night!   Tonight, keg sliders (mini burgers) and tomorrow night, prime rib sliders.   Large "reward" for both of us ~~ no cooking!

Having a shower yesterday morning was wonderful BUT ~~ have you ever tried to shampoo your very dirty hair without using your left hand/arm because you aren't allowed to raise it over your head?   Tain't easy.  Nor is applying the curling iron without employing your left hand.  Ha.

Only current problem is that I'm a bit 'ouchy' and it itches like crazy!   I know that means it's healing, but Lordy!  It itches BAD.  lol

So, way too much Me, Me, Me again. smiley100

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this crap on your PC.  Mine is my life line, and when it isn't available or working like it should, you're right ~~~ life sucks.   I wish I could recommend something or even have Mike try to come up with something, but I just can't.  :-(   I can feel your frustration, because even turning it over to Mike I would be just as frustrated.

I hope you have a great time at the Birthday Parties on Thursday, and that you can have a Happy Today.

RE:Welcome to August Chat

I quit.  I give up.  IE keeps freezing and crashing and it will not let me do anything.

No more suggestions yet from Benjamin.  I am going to run all the virus stuff again.

Your new equipment for pacemaker sounds like a dream.  So easy and nothing for you to do other than sleep.  That's not hard....NOT, lol.

A lot of excitement here.  Last night, actually early this morning 4am Scott and Chris split up.   He told her he found someone else that treats him well.  It was a very volatile split. Screaming, yelling and banging.  She called the police to get him thrown out.  Of course, they could not as it is his residence too.  They asked him if he had somewhere to go for tonight and he called his mom to get him.  Today Chris was agitated but not horribly and talked with us and mom told her she would have to let him come get his things.  She said she would but she wanted mom to supervise because she did not want him taking anything of hers.  Mom said she would.  Well the shit hit the fan.  Scott came with his mom and Chris would not let him in.  They kept trying and she finally answered the door and then she was screaming and hollering and she was yelling at his mom to and she got very angry.  I saw her put her hands around Scott's neck and she kept shoving him and pushing and she pushed his mom.  Mom kept trying to calm her but it was no go.  I had asked if I should call the cops and mom said no.  But when I saw the hands around his neck and the pushing...I thought she was going to push him out the outer door and down the steps.  So I called 911!  She kept me on the phone until police arrived.  Sadly when the first cop hurried into the apt he saw Chris with her hands around Scott's neck!  She was arrested and taken to jail.  Scott and his mom got his stuff out and he could not find the stand to his keyboard anywhere.  Then the phone rings and it is Chris asking us to bail her out for $150 and that she had a check in her apt for $190 and when home would go cash it right away and give it to us.  Then an officer came on and said if we could post bail in the next half hour, they would not  "admit her" but I said we could not get there until after 3.  When mom was free I told her and she had no intention of doing it.  We had no way and Suz had a doctor and dental appt.  About  4 the jail called again and mom told them she did not have any way to get there.  I feel horrid.  I do not want her to lose her job.  I want to get her out so she can sleep at home.  A night in jail is not going to help her.  She would never have really choked Scott, when I saw her do it, she put her hands around his neck and took them off again.  It was so wrong.  But I just do not want her in jail...she was so upset over Scott having a new woman....while she was working.  She is fragile right now.  I want to bail her out and I do not know what to do.

I have to go and think about this.  Hugs, Lou Ann

SHE JUST CAME HOME....HER SISTER AND BIL BAILED HER OUT, BUT SHE IS A BIT MAD AT US, BUT WILL GET OVER IT.  SHE DOES NOT KNOW THAT I CALLED THE POLICE, SHE THINKS SCOTT'S MOM DID.  MY NEPHEW JASON WAS HERE AND WAS SO  NERVOUS.  PACING BACK AND FORTH AND STAND BEHIND MOM,  HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE SURE MOM DID NOT GET HURT.  THANK GOD I DID NOT HAVE TO MAKE THAT DECISION.  THANK YOU LORD, I LOVE YOU.  YOU TOO DOROTHY.

RE:Welcome to August Chat
(Date Posted:08/20/2015 8:41 AM)

Good Morning

Warming back up to the higher 80s today.  I decided not to go to Sue's Ornament making day.  I'm fine, but not "perky" yet, so today will be a nice low key day of rest.   Right now we plan to go waaay across town to the OPH (Original Pancake House) for breakfast tomorrow, and to pick up a breakfast pie on the way back to kick off Mike's birthday weeks.  ;-)  Of course if we get up tomorrow morning and don't want to, we don't have to.  Nice to have options.

The AC guy came pretty much right on time, took an hour, made terrible noises that because of the cold air returned sounded like he was dragging something on our wood floor right outside the Morning Room!   I had the door closed to keep Shogun in so he wouldn't go to help and discover the Basement Storage Area ~~ can you imagine that?  lol. Apparently the noise was diffused and coming to me from the basement through the vent and nothing was being dragged over the wood floor. (laugh) I guess he did have trouble getting the old one out, but everything has kept cool since (COLD, no matter what Mike tells you!) and it's nice and quiet.  Before he came, a new noise started up, so I think it was very good that we got this done, and since it was under warranty, there was no charge! Yay!

So, now I need to begin asking for prayers for my niece Mary Ann.  I swear, she works the hardest at being healthy, eating right and exercising, and she has had more miserable health issues.   Years ago she had a benign brain tumor, then earlier this year the breast cancer surgery (lumpectomy) and now on the 27th she will have a hysterectomy because she has several large fibroids. I don't know anything about fibroids.  Hopefully they are all benign, too.  Then they discovered that her bladder has fallen, and that needs to be fixed too.   How the heck does your bladder 'fall'? Anyway, she will be in the hospital in Marshalltown overnight and then off for six weeks to recover.   I don't think she minds that part (smile) but I fear she may really need the recovery time and it won't be quite as much "fun" to be off as she would like.

We are sending her food instead of flowers initially ~ plain and chocolate croissants and ham and cheese croissants from Williams Sonoma.  They are frozen and you just have to take them out and let them (however many you want) rise overnight and bake them in the morning.   I don't know how much she is going to want to eat, but there is always room for a fresh, flakey croissant, isn't there?    Wouldn't you just know the fat family members would send food instead of flowers?   Ha.   I think later I will send the second season of Miss Fisher's Murders on DVD for her to watch while she is at home.   For Christmas we sent Season One and the first four seasons of Murdock Mysteries to them and Benji liked them as much as she did.  Of course Mike likes them as much as I do, so I shouldn't be surprised.    Anyway, I'll be back around the 27th asking for prayers.  I know how effective you are!

OhMyGosh, you do lead an exciting life!  TOO exciting!  Have you sort of seen the break-up coming?   I know they have had some really 'good' fights.  Still, something like that is always a shock, and I can imagine how terrible Chris felt then and feels now.

It would be so hard to know what to do in a circumstance like that.  On the one hand, you didn't want to get either of them in trouble ~ or in more trouble than they were already in, but on the other hand, if either of them had been really hurt and you could have prevented it, you'd have felt terrible.  Neither you nor your mom is in a position to break up a fight!

I'm so glad her sister bailed her out and you didn't have to wrestle with that any longer than you did.   Does she have to go to court now?  Will she be able to stay there without Scott?  She sounds so unstable, but I have to feel sorry for her.  I'm glad she thinks Scott's mom called the cops.    Geez, never a dull moment, huh?

We are kicking Mike's birthday weeks (plural!) off with a visit to our favorite Chinese Restaurant on Monday, and I'm going to pre-order Peking duck. Of course we will have appetizers, and that will be my birthday dinner for him.  Then we will order some carry-out to bring home for the next couple of days.  Look, Ma!  No cooking!  ;-)   I wish you could come with us!

Have a nice QUIET day.

RE:Welcome to August Chat
(Date Posted:08/21/2015 12:48 AM)

Quick note, lol.  The ladies were here late.

We ordered food from Applebee's and mine was delish.

I got the Fiesta Lime Chicken.  It was wonderful.

Mom got a steak...med rare but it was more toward med and mom said a bit tough.

Hers came with garlic mashed potatoes which she did not like because they were

done with the peel on, she did not like that...I love that.  She said her corn was great.

Mine came with rice.  We shared the tortilla chips with warm spinach artichoke dip.

That I thought was soso...not much artichoke to it.  It also came with a salsa that was

too hot for me.  We had marble cake with buttercream frosting, typical birthday cake.

It was so sweet but good.  Chris started off the day ticked at us because Scott told her

it was Jason who called the police.  Mom and I swore to her it was not.  So now she thinks

Scott was covering for his mom, who she thought all along did it.  We feel bad about

that and mom told her it could have been one of the neighbors as several called to ask

what was going on.  We never actually lied....only I lie of emission.  Isn't that what they

say??  Sounds to me that you are starting Mike's birthday week off with a bang.  Happy

to hear the AC is fixed and no additional fee was involved.  Of course I will pray for Mary Ann.

Starting now.  Still cannot post a border or tag.  Benjamin had escalated my post so that I

get additional help.  They came through with suggestions for me today that I followed which

did not help at all.  So awaiting the next suggestion.  Sorry you did not feel up to being

perky for Christmas today, lol.

Hugs, Lou Ann

Hello.  Welcome to the weekend.

It's going back into HOT territory today ~ low 90s ~ and we've decided not to go to the OPH or pick up Breakfast Pie, but to just enjoy a low key day.  For some reason yesterday was a very TIRED day for both of us.

I forgot to tell you that the day after my surgery Mike got me a 'Get well' gift!  I think I told you that for my birthday he got me a Lenovo Carrying Case (tote) for taking my Lap top, iPad Mini, iPhone, a book and several other little things from the bedroom to the Man Cave to the Morning Room ~ and back.  I had been using a Lancome tote with clear masking tape on the bottom to secure it given all the weight.   He always made fun of it, so he got this big, professional Lenovo tote for me.  It easily carried everything but it really was too big and it was heavy.  I didn't say anything about it, but when he picked it up a few times he realized.  So, he got me another Laptop Tote, with nice compartments, much smaller and lighter, and ~~ it's PURPLE!   I love it!   :-D

I'm glad you had a nice time at the Birthday Party. Your food sounded wonderful.

Oh, my ~ the plot thickens.  So Chris and Scott are talking and he blamed Jason.  I like the anonymous neighbors being maybe the culprit.  lol   They COULD have called.  She and Scott need to realize that everyone can hear when they have a fight or pitch a fit.   Do you think he will really stay away?  Not boring where you are!   lol

I'm glad folks are still trying to help your PC problem.  Maybe, just maybe, someone will hit on THE solution!   I hope so!

Have a special day, my love.

I am just praying this works,  I cannot post anything and I cannot see the borders.

Scott came and took her somewhere today and gave her some money, so they are talking and not at each others throats.  She is a bit needy, checking in with us often, but that is ok.  Just wish she would not drink like she does. Work is slow and she keeps getting called off.  They already were a month behind on rent and she had to use the $150 for bail.  She is never going to be able to afford the place.

So, I got another suggest from another person and while what they told me to do worked to remove chrome from my computers, it still did not help as when I installed it again still all I get is "He's dead Jim"  I have run the google cleaner,

Suz is taking me to get my blood draw for INR tomorrow morning.  Hoping I am back in range.

I am still so behind in everything.

So am saying good night.

Love you sister of mine.

Hello My Little Sister.

We made it through another week!   Looks like another 90 degree day and we have no plans for it.  I do need to do some laundry, and the wood floor looks like it needs some attention.

I hate that you can't get your LapTop back into working order.  It's hard to imagine what changed ~ a virus?  Something new getting added?  Sooo frustrating!  I hate this for you.

Is Scott staying with his mom, or with the new girlfriend?  It's probably a good sign for them that they are talking and that he came and got her.   If they don't get back together, you may get a new neighbor.  Kind of sad, actually.

I hope you have a great day!

Good Morning.

ButterBraid.  Do you know what that is?

It's a lovely, flaky pastry with assorted fillings, and filled with cherry, it is what we are having for breakfast today.    If you aren't familiar with it, it comes frozen (on the right), and you let it rise overnight and bake it in the morning.  Yummy!
We discovered it when our first cleaning lady, Kim, brought us some.  We loved it, and learned that you can only buy it when it is sold as a fundraiser, with schools.  We bought it several times from Kim when it was available, but haven't had it since.   Shauna asked us if we were interesting in buying some, and/or some frozen cookie dough.  Were we EVER!  We saw that others on her purchase list bought one or two cookies or braids.  We bought half a dozen of each!   I think she was glad she approached us ~ lol.

What a lazy day we spent yesterday, Binge watching Longmires from Season 1, Episode 1 on.  We watched about half of the first season. What a wonderful show it is, and watching the earliest ones some of the things I didn't understand finally were clear.  We thought we'd watch all the episodes ahead of the new season on Netflix on Sept 10th.

smiley2
I'm so sorry your PC is giving you fits!  I wish we were closer.  I could give you my old one.   I hope this gets straightened out soon!

Have a fantabulous day anyway!

WELL I AM HERE VIA FIREFOX BUT IT IS NOT MUCH BETTER.
I WISH YOU COULD SEE WHAT I SEE.  ALL OF THE ACTIONS IN THE UPPER PART HERE ARE JUST EMPTY B0XES.  BUT WHEN I HOVER OVER THEM WHAT THEY ARE COMES UP.
I CANNOT SEE THE BORDERS, ONLY THE OUTLINES. I CAN SEE TAGS.
MY INCREDIMAIL WENT TO THE SAME...EVERYTHING WHITE AND UNABLE TO SEE ANYTHING
OTHER THAN ATTACHMENTS...IF I AM LIKELY, SO I DID THE UNINSTALL/UPGRADE.  WHEN IT OPENED AGAIN I HAD LOST EVERYTHING.  ALL MY TONS OF FOLDERS FULL OF LINKS, INFO, ETC.  AND I CANNOT SEND OR RECEIVE EMAIL.  SO THAT IS OUT.  TRYING TO READ IT ON THE SERVER DOES NOT WORK VERY GOOD AND I CANNOT SEE ANY OF THE IMAGES OR SAVE ATTACHMENTS.
I DID GET 3 SUGGESTIONS YESTERDAY FROM 2 NEW PEEPS FROM CHROME, NONE OF WHICH WORKED.  NOTHING YET TODAY, THAT I CAN SEE ON THE SERVER AND I CANNOT CONTACT THEM SINCE THE ADDY IS IN MY EMAIL THAT I CANNOT ACCESS.  NOW I AM WAITING TO HEAR FROM INCREDIMAIL TOO.  SO I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE MY DEADLINES IN MY TAG GROUPS.
I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT A LOSS I AM AT.  WHAT WOULD I NOT BE ABLE TO SEE THESE THINGS
IN FIREFOX.  I USED TO USE IT.  IT EVEN HAD BOOKMARKS OF MINE STILL.
I DID NOT THINK OF THAT, I SHOULD TRY FROM MY BACK UP COMPUTER TO SEE IF ANYTHING WORKS THERE.  THE ONLY THING IS THAT ALL MY CREATING STUFF IS ON THIS ONE. BUT I COULD CREATE AND THEN STORE ON PHOTO BUCKET AND GET THEM FROM THERE TO SEND.
BUT THAT IS NOT THE IDEAL CHOICE EITHER...HOPEFULLY THAT WOULD JUST BE TEMPORARY.
SCOTT SPENT THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT WITH CHRIS AND I HAVE SEEN HIM COME AND GO TODAY SO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.  THEY DO LOVE EACH OTHER BUT THEY ARE NO GOOD FOR EACH OTHER.  I WISH THEY WOULD QUIT DRINKING AS THEN THEY WOULD BE FINE.
THIS HAS BEEN A WEEK FROM HELL FOR ME WITH ALL THE COMPUTER ISSUES.
PLEASE PRAY FOR MY HP LAPPY....IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN MY BACK UP DELL.
THAT BRAID SOUNDS WONDERFUL!!
LOVE YOU SISTER OF MINE.
HUGS, LOU ANN

Hello.  Hello.

It's Monday, and the start of Mike's Birthday weeks!  Tonight, Peking Duck at the Heaven Dragon.  ;-)

Bad night sleep again, but I did get a shower and I feel better.  For now.

I just can't imagine what has happened to your Laptop ~~ but I CAN imagine the awful results, and I hate it for you!

I have Firefox but I can't remember why I didn't like it.  I used to love ie, but it isn't compatible with Aimoo, for me anyway.  Scary to think what might happen if my Chrome goes!  I really do feel your pain!

Somehow I'm not surprised that Scott is staying with Chris, but I guess it remains to be seen what will happen, huh?  I hope they do work it out so you don't have to worry about getting new neighbors that could be worse.

I should have taken another picture of the Braid once it was cooked and the cherry sauce bubbled up between the "braids".  Too bad you can't find it in the stores when you want it ~ on the other hand, what a good fund raiser a few times a year.

Fingers crossed for you to find the magic to restore your PC!

Hugs ~

WELL, NO FIXES FOR TODAY.  I DID NOT HEAR FROM CHROME OR IM.
I HAD A BAD MORNING.  I WAS FREEZING AND WRAPPED UP IN A BLANKET
AND I COULD NOT STAY AWAKE.  I THOUGHT I MIGHT BE COMING DOWN
WITH SOMETHING, BUT I SEEM FINE NOW.  BUT I WILL NEVER SLEEP
TONIGHT WHEN I SLEPT ALL MORNING.
SCOTT AND CHRIS APPEAR TO BE BACK TOGETHER.  THOUGH WHEN ASKED
CHRIS SAID THEY ARE TALKING IT OUT.  SOMETHING WEIRD IS GOING
ON.  LAST WEEK SOMEONE TOOK ONE OF OUR TRASH BINS AND PLACED
IT UNDER ONE OF CHRIS'S BEDROOM WINDOWS.  CHRIS THOUGHT SCOTT
HAD DONE IT TO GET INTO THE APT BUT HE SAID NO, HE HAD SEEN IT
THERE AND THOUGHT CHRIS HAD DONE IT.  NOW SCOTT TOLD US HE
FOUND THE LITTLE WAGON FROM THE BACK YARD UNDER THE WINDOW
WITH A BUCKET TURNED UPSIDE DOWN AND THEN CRUSHED IN LIKE
IT WAS STEPPED ON AND GAVE IN.  HE MOVED IT BACK INTO THE BACK
YARD AND THREW AWAY THE BUCKET.  WE THINK SOMEONE HAS BEEN
TRYING TO PEEK INTO CHRIS'S ROOM.  SCOTT SAYS SHE SLEEPS NUDE,
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS HOT.  MOM SAID TO MAKE SURE ALL THEIR
WINDOWS ARE LOCKED AND BLINDS PULLED.  SHE ONLY HAS SHEER
CURTAINS ON THOSE WINDOWS AND HE SAYS THE BLINDS HAVE
CRACKS AND MISSING SECTIONS.  THERE IS A STREET LIGHT OUT
FRONT OF THAT SIDE OF THE HOUSE AND THE LIGHT WOULD SHINE
IN.  SO WHOEVER MAY HAVE SEEN THINGS BEFORE THIS.  MOM SAID
YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE MOVED STUFF AND SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE
POLICE.  KATHY, WHO LIVES IN MY OLD APT. SAYS A LOT OF MEN
COME AND GO TO THE BACK UPPER APT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND
SOME OF THE MEN SHE HAS SEEN MAKE HER VERY NERVOUS. SO NOW
WE ARE ALL A BIT NERVOUS.  WE ARE NOW GOING TO LEAVE THE PORCH
LIGHT ON UNTIL CHRIS GETS HOME FROM WORK, WHICH IS LIKE 3 AM.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK TO MIKE,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK TO MIKE.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK TO MICHAEL.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK TO MIKE.
AND MANY MORE...........
I HAVE NEVER HAD PEKING DUCK, BUT I LOVE THE NAME OF THE
RESTAURANT ... HEAVEN DRAGON.  NOW I AM HUNGRY FOR CHINESE FOOD.
I AM GOING TO GET OUT MY OTHER LAP TOP AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS THERE.
HUGS, LOU ANN

Hello!

Looks to be another scorcher here ~ 93. I managed another nearly sleepless night again, so I'm not exactly feeling "perky" today.  Growl.

Mike's kick-off Birthday dinner last night was a bit disappointing.  We ordered cocktails and appetizers, which were fabulous (Crab Rangoons, Fried Pot Stickers and VietNamese Egg Rolls), and brought half of them home.   Our waitress was a sweet little girl who had a bit of trouble understanding, but tried hard.  In the past, the wait staff has really made things special for us, and her inability to go the extra mile was a wee bit disappointing, but it was still ok, just a wee bit less special than I had hoped.

The appetizers ~

The Duck ~ which was served with rice and the extra plum sauce I requested.  You put the duck in the little dumpling pockets (with plum sauce) ~

The Peking Duck was a tiny bit disappointing too.  Still good, but not great.  We brought more than half of it home, and I think we will remove the skin and cut it into bite sized pieces and saute in butter and it will be good.  I asked for extra plum sauce because it was a bit dry, and asked for more for our take out box, so it will be fine.  I just wanted it to be spectacular.  (laugh)

Being the exciting couple we are, we came home and watched a couple more episodes of Longmire, Season 2. ;-)

Jeb Bush is in town, and the news said there have been some protests.  Who knows what about ~ maybe that he used the term everyone else uses "Anchor Babies".  Well, what else would you call them?  In China they have Travel Offices who arrange for women to come here, stay in a nice hotel until it is time and then transfer to the hospital to have their "Anchor" baby, just in case things go South in China.    I believe only the US and Canada grant citizenship to any child born here.  I tend to think that's a perk we don't need to offer.   What say you?

I think I'm glad that Chris and Scott are back together, but what was the breakup, with him bringing his mom even, all about?  They are certainly not boring neighbors!

I don't blame you all for being nervous about obviously having a Peeping Tom!   Who does live in the back upstairs apartment, with all the strange men coming and going?  Sort of creepy.   Where does Chris work with such late hours?  Where does Scott work, and what kind of hours does he have?

I will pass your Birthday song on to Mike!   I know he will appreciate it.    There was a time when we did a whole lot more "going", but now I think we both love the idea of having leftovers to have at home ~ lol.  Definitely gettin' OLD.  Ah, well. It had to happen some time, and definitely better than the alternative.  Ha!

Have a happy day ~~~ and discover the fix for your PC!
