I did manage to get a fair amount done yesterday. Maybe I'll take today off. No, wait. I have at least two loads of laundry to do. No rest cuz I'm clearly wicked.
Currently the weather report is for fairly nice weather for the little ones on Halloween. I'm glad ~ however, the current forecast is also for SNOW on the day they lay the carpet! I won't get too upset until we are closer to the day, cuz you know our Weather Folk.
Mike's wrist was still a bit sore yesterday. Hopefully better today. We are so lucky he wasn't hurt. He just took off to have the Oil Changed in the car.
AND ~~ he just came back, half an hour after he left! There were 3 cars in the garage and 8 cars 'in line' ahead of him. The poor guy can't catch a break either!
I'm not sure what I think about the Resource Officer in NC. Certainly he was too rough, but how besides physical force could he get the little witch out of the classroom? All of the School authorities had tried, and if she wouldn't obey theirs or his orders, should he have just shrugged and walked away? I dunno. I'm sure she has problems but maybe one of them is that she has been allowed to do whatever she wants with impunity. Anyway, clearly the officer will be punished and she will not.
That's my frustration with the contents of the drawers in the bedroom ~ we will be practically filling our closet (which thank goodness we decided NOT to re-carpet) with things like the TV and electronics from the bedroom and my sweaters from the drawers under the bed and Mike's stuff from his side of the bed. All the other rooms will be carpeted, so you can't just leave the drawers in another room until it's all done. The wood floor will be needed for them to move furniture from each room to temporarily until that carpet is laid. I suppose younger, stronger folks could haul them to the garage, maybe, but we can't. They will definitely be heavy filled. I don't know how the guys will feel about our just leaving the drawers with towels over the tops, but I can't see what else to do. Aarrgghh.
How fun for Brent to be here for the game. Mile Hi is in Denver, I dunno, maybe 10 miles or so away from us ~ depending on traffic and such, maybe half an hour.
So which team is Brent rooting for? (She asks innocently ~ bwahaaaa)
I'm so sorry your 'Birthday meal' wasn't as good as you'd anticipated, but thank goodness the Birthday cake was! Sounds like you got some great gifts, too. I'm so glad you had a fun ~ and not too late ~ night!
I will make a note of the COLORFY pencils and color 'books'. I'm sure I would enjoy it, but I spend too much time on line and get so far behind, I'm almost afraid to try! I love the things you have been posting ~ beautiful.
I am STUNNED that the women of The View saw the Debate as I did! I thought I saw something on Facebook where they were putting the Republicans down for not being willing to take "hard" questions. Hard Questions? Pul-eeze! "Are you a Cartoon Character?" It was wonderful when Cruz launched what Ben Carson called "The Cruz Missal". LOL Then both Rubio and Christie took them on. I loved it.
I'm really shocked if the rest of the program actually acknowledged that the Moderators were ridiculous. I never watch The View, but I do occasionally see excerpts posted on Facebook.
Oooh, bless Suz' heart for bring you delicious pie for dessert! Yum!
Hope you have a great today! Hope I do too ~~ lol.
