RE:WELCOME TO NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/01/2013 7:35 PM)

Good Morning, and welcome to November!

Lou Ann, thank you the beautiful new Fall skin ~ and I know a great new new thread page is on the way!  Thanks so much!.

Did you all have fun Trick or Treating last night?

We did go out for lunch but at night we stayed home, turned the lights out and watched movies by the fire.  We did get one knock on the door at around 9PM, which I thought was a strange time for Trick or Treaters to knock on the door of an unlighted house, but they only rang once and there was no follow up.

Shogun went as The Shogun and Chrystie went as Miley Cyrus.

.

Jack was ~ Lumber Jack

After my appt, we drove to the Hallmark store so I could refill my card stash and pick up next year’s Date Books, then on to the money store to refill our stash of cash.  Then spur of the moment, we decided to go to Mimi’s for breakfast.   We used to go there all the time but hadn’t been in ages and we were really looking forward to it.  Drove into the EMPTY parking lot ~~ Mimi’s is closed!   I still can’t believe it.   Then heading home we decided to go to BJs for lunch and I brought half of my salad home for dinner ~ to go along with half of my lunch from yesterday that Mike is having for dinner tonight!   Wheee.  No cooking.

While we were pulling into the parking lot, a plane went over our car, so close that I thought it might land on us!  The sound was deafening and rather frightening!  Got out and saw that it was 3 F16s flying in formation with their after burners on.  You have never heard such a noise in your life!  Deafening!  Then they came around singly several more times as we were walking into the restaurant and after (you could hear them from inside).  They were flying so low and the noise was so loud you had to cover your ears to keep from having your eardrums ruptured!   It’s way cool to see them flying that close over your head, but I can’t believe they aren’t going to get some complaints, not only about the noise but it really isn’t safe to have them flying that low over a heavily populated area.   Mike thought they were National Guard.

I forgot to tell you Mike gave me one more Halloween present yesterday, the new Laura Childs Scrapbooking Mystery, set in New Orleans, "Gilt Trip".    Mike always has a Theme to his gifts.  Can you see this years Halloween Theme?
1. Book, Chocolate Castle Caper
2. A one pound package of two Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
3. Book, Gilt Trip.  (Don't let the spelling throw you off the trail. LOL)

. . . and may I say it's a very good thing that tw roll the clocks back tonight.  I'm sleeping later and later every morniing.  7:45 this morning!  At the rate I'm going, I'll be sleeping until noon!  Definitely time to Roll Back!

We're supposed to be in the 60s today and tomorrow, and then tank to low 40s on Monday and for the rest of the week!  Brrrr.

We'll have our last bowl of chili tonight and then freeze the rest for later ~ I do love having frozen chili at the ready.  I think we'll go out for dinner tomorrow since it will be the last nice day for a while, and then make a pork roast on Monday.

I'm feeling like me again this morning.  The day before yesterday I felt really awful, almost scary awful.  Not sick, just weak and dizzy.  A bit of that yesterday morning too, but it must have been a bug because I'm feeling quite human today.  Whew.  Really did kind of scare me.

Yes, I think I got a good haircut.  Too short right now, but by the 5 week appointment it will be down to my shoulders ~ lol.  I swear she's putting Rapid Grow on my hair!

Hello Dorothy, sorry that I have not been in.  Too much hitting me all at
once and still feeling like crap...just so tired.  I see you had a bad day too.
Am happy to hear that it passed.  I am trying to deal with family in town,
the shoebox charity event all weekend, which has been extended a day and
still feeling puny.  The relatives have gone and I thought they were stopping
in to see me, since I was unable to attend the festivities, but they did not.
I feel bad about that.  But I do not blame them...I am sure they did not
want to be exposed to whatever I have.  I still need to finish here too, but
I just have no energy and the will to do much of anything.  I am sorry for
that.  Been sitting in my chair zombie-ing out watching Christmas movies
on Hallmark and dozing off all the time.  I am hoping to start feeling better.
Hang in there Dorothy, I am.
Hugs,

RE:WELCOME TO NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/04/2013 10:53 AM)

It's Monday, and I'm enjoying the lack of Daylight Saving time.  Are you?

We're expecting cold weather and snow today ~~ though as usual, the forecast keeps changing.   Honestly, if you make plans based on our local Weather Folk you're not going to be happy.   We went to the Outback for dinner last night, assuming we would be shut-ins for the next few days.  We used to go to the Outback all the time before the Bonefish (from the same parent company) came to town.  We hadn't been there in ages.  It was good and I was bad.  We shared a steak with mushroom sauce and instead of the garlic mashed potatoes that come with it, we got sweet potato fries.  Oh my GOSH, they were awesome, honey glazed and salted. To die for!   I assume that the fiber in the sweet potatoes offsets the carbs in the potato and the glaze ~ right?    I really could just go in and order a huge basket of them and skip the rest of the food . . . which is probably why I'm fat.  Ha.

We do plan to stay in for the next few days.  I have some more laundry to fold and the infamous Budget Book to enter and balance ~ and a good book or three to read.

I went looking for the online Magazine annnieM used to write for, MSMuSings, to see if she was still writing for them and if there was an update on her, but the magazine seems to be out of business.  It's a shame.  It was a really nice and inspiring magazine written by different folks afflicted with MS.  I obviously haven't kept reading it, and I'm sorry for that.   I'll keep trying to reach her.

Lou Ann, I'm so sorry you still aren't feeling good.   I seem to be ok now.  A wee bit scary for a little while, but it has passed.

It doesn't help for you to have so many things on your plate when you aren't feeling good.  Of course I want to see you every day ~ but I really do understand.  You'll be back when you can, and I'll be here.  Well, as long as "when you can" isn't tooo long.  Ha.    Spending a bit of time being a Christmas Story Watching Zombie may be just what you need to do.

Speaking of ~~ I love the Christmas movies too, but I'm avoiding them, as best I can, until after Thanksgiving.  It really seems too early, like the stores with all the Christmas merchandise a month before Halloween.   We have several music channels as part of our TV Cable package, and they have already got the Christmas music channels up, too.  We're also avoiding them for now.

I'm sorry your family didn't stop by to visit with you, but I do understand that they don't want to take a chance on picking up a bug to carry with them.  It's a shame though.

Happy Monday!

Dorothy

HELLO DOROTHY
I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FINISH UP HERE TOMORROW.  I JUST HAVE ALL MY
TAGS TO MAKE NOW, BUT I GET 2 WEEKS TO DO IT.  SO I SHOULD BE HERE
NOW.  DOES ANNNIEM NOT ANSWER EMAILS EITHER?  THAT IS WORRISOME!
I REALLY DID NOT EXPECT MY FAMILY TO STOP EITHER, BUT I HOPED.  I
NEVER GET TO SEE THEM SINCE I DO NOT TRAVEL WELL.  I NEED TO WRITE
MY AUNT PENNY AS SHE GAVE ME A COUPLE OF FRAMED UNICORN PRINTS. I
DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW SHE KNOWS I LOVE THEM.  THEY ARE VERY NICE.
NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHY SHE GAVE THEM TO ME.  IT WAS A VERY NICE
SURPRISE.
I THINK I HAVE TO GO FOR MY INR TOMORROW. I BETTER CHECK.  IF I DO, I
AM GOING TO TRY AND RESCHEDULE IT JUST TO GIVE MYSELF A LITTLE MORE TIME.  HOPEFULLY CAN PUT IT OFF TILL FRIDAY.
YOUR STEAK AND MUSHROOM SAUCE SOUNDS WONDERFUL, THE SWEET
POTATOES DO NOT TEMPT ME IN THE LEAST.  I DO NOT LIKE THEM.  BUT
I WOULD TRY THEM...I AM ALWAYS OPEN TO NEW THINGS.  I WILL SEE
YOU HERE AGAIN TOMORROW.
HUGS,

RE:WELCOME TO NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/05/2013 10:36 AM)

Good Morning!

No snow overnight, so maybe we won't be getting any.  It's only in the 30s, but looking out of my bedroom window, it looks just beautiful.  You'd think in the 60s ~ until you poked your nose out of the door, so I don't think I will.

Good News:   I just got a note from our annnieM.  I will share it because I know how concerned we have all been.

Hi Dorothy

I'm OK, just not my old self.  I think I have been going through a bit of depression, because I can't do what I used to.  It has gotten so hard to get my headset on so that I can e-mail or talk online.  I am looking into a new kind of headset that I can manage with one hand.  Right now unless I have someone help me put it on I can only do it first thing in the morning.  Thanks for checking up on me.  I will try harder to get into the group and say hi.

I told her I would share her note with both groups and not to worry about not getting in.  We just all wanted to know she was ok, and of course I gave her our love.

smiley19
Lou Ann, Ooh, I almost zinged by the new page without reading it. I guess i wasn't expecting it even though you said you'd have it done soon.  Thanks so much for putting it up for us.  I always enjoy reading it and you do such a nice job with it ~~ as you did with the lovely November thread.

I love that it is Adopt a Senior Pet month ~ and I would if I could.  Kittens are adorable and so much fun ~~~ to visit at YOUR house.  lol.  I love older cats (and dogs and  . . .)   My son is curled up practically ON my foot as we speak, and when I go into the other room and throw a lap robe over my legs my Senior Cat (Chrystie will be 13) will be on me, guaranteed.

Mike found some medicine online that purports to help with her perpetual sneezing ~ and I'm darned if I don't think it IS helping.  The write ups all talked about spending a fortune with the Vets and not making any progress in relieving the sneezing, and then this stuff really making a difference.  How wondereful it would be for her AND us.  The whole house is covered in cat snot, and when you look into her poor runny eyes and think of any time you've had a sinus infection you can 'feel her pain'.   It will be so wonderful if this does give her some relief ~ and so awful to think that we could have given her that help for the last 10 years and didn't.

This is Election day here.  We voted early (but not often) via mail in ballot.  One very interesting school tax amendment on the ballot and some City Council representatives.

Denver is voting on taxing marijuana, but that wasn't on our ballot.  Seems strange since I believe pot is legal statewide.  So, they tax it in Denver and folks come to Arvada to buy it??   The other big item is for part of the Western Slope to succeed and form a 51st state.  We didn't get to vote on that either.  Definitely an interesting election.

How sweet that your aunt gave you the Unicorn Prints!  Such a day brightener!

Good luck with your INR.  Mine is due on Friday (every two weeks since it's do-it-yourself).  Marcela comes tomorrow.

Have a Teriffic Tuesday!

I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR YOU HEARD FROM ANNNIEM.  IT WAS

GETTING FAR TOO LONG SINCE WE HAD HEARD FROM HER.  I AM GLAD

ALL IS OK BUT SADDENED BY HER NOT BEING ABLE TO DO WHAT SHE

WOULD LIKE AND I CERTAINLY UNDERSTAND WHAT DEPRESSION IS

AND NOT BEING ABLE TO DO THINGS MAKES US ALL DEPRESSED!  I

WONDER IF SHE IS TAKING ANYTHING, BECAUSE ANTI-

DEPRESSANTS BECAUSE THEY REALLY CAN BE A BIG HELP.  I COULD

NOT FUNCTION WITH OUT MINE.

I FINISHED THE OPENING PAGE NOW.  NOT AS MANY PICS AS USUAL

OR AS MUCH INFO BUT IT WILL DO.

OMG, I SURE HOPE THAT THE NEW STUFF HELPS CHRYSTIE AND

IMPROVES HER QUALITY OF LIFE.

I DID NOT GO FOR MY INR TODAY, GOT UP NO BETTER AND

COUGHING SO HARD THAT I CALLED AND CANCELLED MY APPT, SAID I

WOULD GO TO THE LAB AS SOON AS I WAS UP TO IT AND THEN THEY

COULD SCHEDULE MY NEXT MONTH APPT FOR IN THE CLINIC AND

THEY SAID FINE.  NO ARGUMENTS AND NO SAYING YOU NEED TO GET

IN ASAP.  OF COURSE IT WAS RECEPTION I WAS TALKING TO AND

NOT ONE OF THE PHARMACISTS, LOL.  IT IS A GOOD THING I DID AS

SUZ JUST CALLED TO SAY THAT JORDAN JUST DEMOLISHED HIS

DADS SUV.  SHE SAID HE IS OK AND HEADING TO HIM SO I WILL

KNOW MORE TOMORROW.  THEY CANNOT AFFORD THIS AND IT IS

JORDAN'S 2ND ACCIDENT WITH IT.  THE LAST ONE THEY DID NOT

REPORT BUT THERE IS ANOTHER CAR INVOLVED THIS TIME SO THEY

WILL HAVE TO.  THEY WILL HAVE TO GO TO JERRY'S MOM FOR MONEY.

MY MOM USED TO HAVE A DECENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT, BUT LEIGH

AND SUZ HAVE MANAGED TO DWINDLE IT DOWN.

SO ANYWAY, OFF A TAGGING I GO :)

A little late, but here.

Marcela came this morning, and you know how that throws my day off.   The house is nice and clean now, though my Halloween decorations are still up.smiley64   She did wipe out the after-running-the-oven-cleaner residue for us, too.   It's so frustrating not to be able to do simple things like that, but she didn't mind and now the oven is clean, too.

Our election was interesting.  The Amendment to create the largest tax hike in Colorado history didn't pass, even though billionaire socialists Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates and the Unions threw millions of dollars at it.  I do love that all their money couldn't buy our election ~ at least this time.   Several cities passed large tax increases on marijuana sales, and I still don't understand why Arvada didn't even vote on it.  About half of the tax was city, so that makes sense, but the other half was state ~ and we're in the state, I'm pretty sure.   lol   Several other interesting races.  Pretty much a mixed bag, but all in all, it gave me just a smidgeon of hope.

We didn't get the snow we'd been told to expect, but it's been below freezing cold.  Supposedly warming up for the rest of the week.  The wind has been horrid today, so we didn't take the trash and recycle bin out tonight.  We'll have to get up early tomorrow to get it done because the Trash guys come so early.

smiley18

Lou Ann, I'm glad they didn't give you flack about your INR.  You need to let yourself feel better, and I think a lot of times when we are under the weather it effects our INR so we don't get the most accurate picture of how we are really doing.

Oh, no!  First and foremost of course, thank goodness Josh is ok, but what a disaster that the SUV is wrecked!    I'm glad they do have another "bank" they can go to for help, but I'm sorry they had to have this happen, and particularly now.

smiley18

Time for me to say Goodnight 'till it be morning.

HI DOROTHY
JUST TO SET RECORDS STRAIGHT...IT WAS JORDAN THAT
CRASHED HIS DADS SUV FOR THE 2ND TIME.  THOUGH I
FOUND OUT IT IS NOT TOTALED AND THEY GOT SOMEONE
TO POUND THE BUMPER OUT SO IT IS DRIVE-ABLE.  BUT
WHAT DO THEY DO?  TURN AROUND AND LET HIM HAVE IT
AGAIN TO RUN AROUND IN.  BOTH TIMES THAT HE HAS
HIT SOMETHING HE HAD OTHERS IN THE CAR AND WAS
FOOLING AROUND.  I JUST DO NOT GET IT AND I AM NOT
GOING TO FEEL SORRY FOR THEM ANY MORE.  THEY ARE
MAKING THE BED THEY HAVE TO LIE IN.
I THINK I AM ACTUALLY STARTING TO GET BETTER.  I WILL
SEE IF MY SISTER CAN TAKE ME ON SATURDAY.
I HAVE GOTTEN ALL MY OFFERED TAGS DONE AND NOW I
AM WORKING ON THE 4 GUARANTEED ITEMS.  I GOT THE
FIRST ONE DONE AND OUT.  SO 3 MORE...I DO A LETTER
WITH A MATCHING TAG AS ONE ITEM.  THEN I NEED TO MAKE
FOR THE 3 GRAND PRIZE WINNERS.  WHICH I WAS NOT ONE
OF :(  BUT I DID WIN A CREATORS GRAB BAG AND AM
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT IT HAS IN IT.  I
ALSO WON SEVERAL TUBE SETS FROM PAY TO USE SITES.
AND THERE ARE STILL DAILY DRAWINGS TILL THE 2 WEEKS
IS UP.  SO KEEPING FINGERS CROSSED THAT I WILL WIN
MORE.
WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE SECTION THAT WAS VOTING TO
SUCCEED?

RE:WELCOME TO NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/08/2013 10:44 AM)

Good Morning

Off to a slow start this morning.  I spent over an hour going through my email inbox!

I'm not sure what else in on the docket for today.  I need to work on the dread Budget Book which I've been putting off, and I need to do my blood test.  Beyond that, we'll see.

I still have our Halloween decorations up!  No excuse for that, so I will at the very least take them down today.   As you know, I didn't put much up in the first place.

Aaron and Christina's baby is due the end of January.  She put up a sonogram picture on Facebook ~ how can anyone call that little creature, sucking his thumb, nothing more than a blob of tissues.  He sure looks like a little person to me.   I've been invited to a shower for her in Rhinelander WI.  Obviously I can't go, but Mary Ann told me they already have a baby monitor and more things than Babies-R-Us carries in their store.  I was all set to get the baby monitor, and now I'm at a loss.   I want to get something as nice as we got for Jack and Lucy ~ but what?   I was even trying to find some kind of service rather than an actual gift, but I haven't come up with anything yet.  If any of you can tell me something your little one's parents, let me know.

Lou Ann, I obviously read Jordan and thought Josh.  I seem to "know" Josh better.  He's such a cutie. Anyway, I'm glad Jordan wasn't hurt, but . . . .

They really don't learn, do they?  And because of that, their kids aren't learning.  That seems to be so much the way our society is today ~~ No sense of responsibility because there are never any real consequences for people's actions.    I almost wish I COULD feel that way.  "I can do whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like doing it and I never have to think of possible consequences."  Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately ~ I'm beginning to not know for sure) I wasn't raised that way and I HAVE to take responsibility for my own actions.

I'm glad you won several things ~ you deserve it!   I'm even more glad you are feeling better!

Have a Fab Friday.

Today is Josh's 17th birthday.  The one thing I notice about kids today
that they want for nothing.  I am so tired of asking them what they
want for birthdays or Christmas and them saying "I don't know".  It's
because they have everything already.  So then they just want money.
They do not realize what a bargain shopper I am and they would get
more bang for the buck if I bought them something.  Josh is getting
money.  But he needs it with having to have bought tools for his new
job and for putting gas in his car till he gets paid.
Jordan is not sporting a tattoo on his upper right chest above his heart.
It is a heart with a banner that says "mom".  Supposedly someone that
is just starting out did it free for him.  It was very simple with no shading
and does look a bit amateurish.  Still, I find it hard to believe.  Nothing
like kissing up big time to his mom and he says he wants to put "dad"
on the right side.  So then I said he could eventually add his wife and kids
and have a family tree on his chest.  Then one of his friends piped up and
said that parents and kids are ok, but never women as that is always
subject to change.  How cynical but true.
Got another letter and tags done for the group.  Seems to take forever.
There are 41 names that I have to do the guaranteed items for.  So now I
have 2 down and 2 to go.  I will get there in plenty of time.
I may try and go for my blood work tomorrow, or maybe just wait for
Mon or Tue.  Probably the latter.  Sunday is a party for Josh at his house
so that will be my first outing in weeks and will see how it goes.
As far as your baby gift, have you checked out the latest in baby stuff?
I am sure there is something out there she does not have and would love.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,

RE:WELCOME TO NOVEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:11/09/2013 6:52 PM)

Good Morning Gals...

Never fear I'm still here!!! smiley82 I tried to get in and couldn't make it in one day and then the following day I got on and was keying a humungous hello and pouf!!!smiley88My fantastic letter to you all disappeared, so that was that...Still recuperating from my totally violent virus from h_ll feeling better every day...In fact I took a walk outside today it as such a beautiful morning when I woke up...It is really 'FALL' all the trees have turned on their beauty for everyone to drink in...Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, gorgeous one and all...

Like to take a bit to thank 'LOU ANN' for the November Page it is spectacular once again she show her creativity and her patience in doing the 'Pages' for us...

DOROTHY...

I stayed home as you did and woefully had no children at my door...I expected that so I had scary movies on tap to watch...Shogun, Christie, and Jack's Halloween Costumes were Super...I bet he had a great time...I hope the weather was good there, it was fantastic here I was happy for the kids that the weather was fine...

Wow that's annoying to find your favorite Restaurant closed when you pull up...Maybe the Jet's flying over scared everyone off and they closed up and went home...smiley67 Well anyway you made it to lunch and brought half home and then no cooking at dinner time...smiley59 'KEWL' ya know what I mean???

The guys were exercising and nothing will ever be said they have to do this kind of maneuvering in tight spaces you see???smiley78  I think your Mike is empathic and selfless smiley47because he takes the time to think his gifts out 'Kudos' to him...I think you do the same with him...Glad you got your haircut, I'm overdue and don't know when I'll be able to get on...By the way you guys keep up the good work...smiley93

Lou Ann...
Sorry to here that you and Dorothy and it sounds like all of us are having 'ISSUES' with our health...It's the pit's being sick...You know that I keep everyone in my groups in my prayers every night before I go to sleep...Rest assured you were prayed over...I will say extra prayers for us all tonight that we get over these bugs for good...I didn't eat for a week smiley67 and finally gave up and went to the Dr.'s office got medicine for Nausea & Vomiting, it was actually an old prescription I had and was generic for 'Compazine' works really well...I hurt all over from leaning over the bucket 'You Get My Drift' that it took a few days to get me back on track I was also drinking plain water, and a few 'PropelPlus' drinks...They helped get my Electrolytes back in line as well...I have lost 11.lbs not the way I like to lose the weight but oh well...

Lou Ann don't feel bad your relatives really did not want to catch what you have and by passed visiting with you this time...You just sit back and relax and watch Christmas movies that's a really good thing to do this time of year...I watched a few special Thanksgiving Day Movies as well and since I had the time, I set up all my other 5 stations burning all the Christmas Movies to watch too...You get better girlfriend, give yourself time to mend, sleep is good too...

DOROTHY...
Oh my here you go again, hey you only live once right??? You can be good the rest of the week...Try to keep it for the weekends as a special treat...Well unless theirs a Birthday, of an Anniversary, or etc etc etc...smiley66smiley61smiley93smiley71 I believer this covers it all...LOL...

Yes I agree with you, we can hope that one cancels out the other...You being a shut-in with lots of work to do laundry & budgets...Yuck!!! You go girl order, and take home queen...

LOU ANN...
Hang in there...Get better and keep on coming into 'CUPPA GALS' I won't stop but real life keeps me from coming in every day...Yesterday I never even finished my hello so here it is...I'm glad you received 'UNICORNS' from your Aunt maybe she got a hint from an angel!!! I think, just enjoy the Unicorns they bring you and plenty of other people myself included hope and they embody magic actually I think that's a good thing to have...

DOROTHY...
No so eh??? Not to worry it will come soon enough when you least expect it...OMG!!! A note from annnieM, I to have been very worried about her...I'm so glad that she wrote you this note oh how I wish I had won the lottery I know exactly what I'd be doing with a lot of my money...I'm still asking God if he has some spare time to give me the winning numbers that would be a miracle and it would enable me to pay it forward which is something I really and truly want to do...

If I had the money I would definitely do the 'Adopt A Pet Month' thing for I really am longing for a little tiny mix dog for companionship...At this time I am not able to afford an animal...When I get some of my 'Credit Cards' paid off and I can see my way to being able to afford dog food, vet bills, licenses, collars, leashes, dog bowls, sweaters if needed for winter, galoshes and jackets for rainy days...I will then be able to afford a pet I am ready but I have to hold off for awhile...

LOU ANN...

You got it just like I did Lou Ann because she is unable to do the things she's always done she feels miserable...She is not able to understand why she is unable to do these things so she's probably blaming herself which is what I do all the time even though I know it's not true it's because of forces happening in our life that we have no control over...I too hope she is getting some Anti-Depressants to help her deal with this and I second your notion I too do not know what I'd do without my pills...They really help and I can tell when I'm not on them so I need them so that's just it...

Oh Lou Ann it sounds like you really should get into the Dr.'s as soon as you can, what if you have Strep Throat??? Please, Please, take care of yourself okay??? So sorry to here of the accident with the 'SUV' hope nobody else was injured in the other vehicle that was involved...

DOROTHY...

Fantastic a clean house I wish I could say the same, mine is still cluttered and my kitchen floor needs to be steam cleaned...My other steam cleaner that I've had for years finally bit the dust...I however got my use out of that poor thing I used it all the time...Today I opened my backup steam cleaner that I bought one time when it was the 'HOT PICK' of the day it was under $100.00 and was shipped to my house completely S&H free...It's from Europe, it's called a 'VAPARETTO' handy...

It's for cleaning anything & everything and you can take it apart put another head on it and it's a steamer for clothes, cleaning furniture, mattress's...In your bathrooms attachments for cleaning the floor and the walls in the shower stall as well as the walls in the room...It's a pretty handy little devil I'd say...I'll let you know how it goes...

Well I have to go now catch ya all later and please don't think I'm not watching, I really am...It's just that sometimes real life gets in the way...Just like it took two days to get this all typed up and yes the Arthritis in my hands is taking it's toll...Oh well it is what it is...Nothing I can do...

HELLO MARY ANN AND WELCOME HOME.  WE HAVE MISSED YOU.  SORRY TO
HEAR THAT YOU TOO HAVE BEEN ILL.  IT SURE SUCKS.GLAD YOU MADE IT
THROUGH THIS TIME.  HOPE DOROTHY IS OK.  SHE USUALLY GIVES NOTICE
WHEN SHE WILL NOT BE POSTING.
I HAVE TO SHARE THIS LITTLE STORY THAT UNRAVELED TODAY.
MY FRIEND GARY SENT ME A PICTURE VIA EMAIL.  IT WAS OF HIM AS A
LITTLE BOY SITTING ON SANTA'S LAP.  HE ALSO HAD THE ENVELOPE FROM
THE PIC.  I WILL SHARE THE PIC.

SO HE SAID TO CHECK OUT THE RETURN ADDRESS.  THE FIRST THING I NOTICED
WAS THE TELEPHONE NUMBER WA1-2264.  SO THAT DEFINITELY DATED IT, LOL.
WHEN OUR PHONE AREA CODE WAS WALNUT AND THEN THE NUMBER. THEN I
READ THE ADDRESS.  159 1/2 W ARNDT ST
MY ADDRESS IS 159 W. ARNDT.  WHEN I FIRST MOVED HERE AND LIVED UP
STAIRS THE UPPER HALF WAS 159 1/2 BUT SOME TIME AGO THEY JUST WENT
TO A STRAIGHT 159 WITHOUT THE 1/2 AND JUST USE THE APTS 1-4.  AND THEN
I REMEMBERED THAT THERE HAD BEEN A SMALL ROOM IN THE BASEMENT THAT
HAD ONCE BEEN A DARKROOM.  WHAT A SMALL WORLD THIS IS.  THIS MAY
NOT SOUND AMAZING TO YOU, BUT I LOVED IT.
ANYWAY, TIME TO SAY GOOD NIGHT AND SHUT THE COMPUTER DOWN AND
DO SOME READING.  I AM READING A NEW SERIES TO ME BY MERCEDES
LACKEY, ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS.
HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY.
HUGS,

OhMyGosh, You Guys!  I forgot you!   I can't believe I did that!  Multiple lashes with a wet noodle to me!

I had posted in the other group and my next step was to post here, using the same border and tag.  I ran late because my email inbox was more than overflowing, so when I started to come in here, Mike poked his head in and asked if I wasn't ready for breakfast.  Obviously HE was.  Ha.   So I packed up, dressed quickly and went into the other room for breakfast and then we started watching TV and I completely forgot to come back.  I am properly repentant.

Because it's pushing midnight now and I've read your posts, I'm just going to share the post from the other group, deleting the personal comments, and see if I can start to get caught up here.

Yup, it's what's for breakfast today.  Yay!

I didn't get the Budget Book finished yesterday, so that's on my docket for today, along with a load of laundry.  The excitement never ends.

Shogun is sleeping on my foot.  He's beginning to turn into a cuddle bug. Beginning.

I was supposed to do my blood test yesterday and completely forgot that too.  I did remember to get it done today, though.

Lou Ann ~ Happy Birthday Josh!

Let me tell you, I hear you about gifts for the younger set!  Aaron and Christina are registered at Babies-R-Us and Walmart, but all the "good stuff" has been taken and since I'm hearing they have more than the stores do already, before the shower, I hesitate to buy anything.  If I were shopping in the stores, I would probably find some cute clothes or something that would do, but I'm sure they have more clothes than they will ever use and I'm shopping online where you can't really see what the things look like.    I'll keep looking, but it isn't much fun.

OhMyGosh, the tattoos.   I really hate them so I'm very out of it and TRY to keep my mouth shut.  My great nephew Robert has several, one really quite beautiful (for a tattoo) and the others . . ok, I guess.  Lucy's mom (I'm not sure what to call her in regard to Robert) has a huge one covering one arm.  It's stylized and probably nice, if you like them.  I don't.  (Can you tell?  lol)   So far, none of the rest of the "kids" are sporting them.

Good for you making progress with your tags, and good for you getting out of the house!!

Cute picture of Gary with Santa.  I definitely remember the telephone numbers with prefixes!

Welcome home,Mary Ann!   We always miss you and are glad to see you back and know you are ok.

Sorry you lost your post.  We all know that awful frustration!  Your leaves are changing later than ours.  The leaves are off of our trees, though still on many around us.  They didn't turn really pretty this year ~ nice, but not great.

I wish you could adopt a pet.   I know it would be wonderful for you, and even more wonderful for the pet who would be loved by you.  Hopefully someday.  Now are you still house sitting?  It would be hard to have your own pet if you were staying in different places, I imagine, never mind all the expense of pet ownership.

Kewl that you were able to get the new steamer!
