Full Moon on the 23rd is called the Full Worm Moon by Native Americans because this time of year there are signs of earthworms.  As the temperatures begin to warm, the ground begins to thaw in preparation of Spring,  earthworms appear, heralding the return of the Robin

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/01/2016 12:50 AM)

I GUESS I WILL BE ANSWERING YOU HERE AS IT IS THAT TIME.  AIMOO IS BEING A REAL ASS.  IT HAS TAKEN ME SO MUCH LONGER TO DO THE NEW MONTH THAN IT SHOULD HAVE.  I KEPT GETTING ERRORS AND TIME OUTS.  EVERYTHING TOOK FOREVER TO LOAD.  IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY.  I HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR LOADING.  I WAS SCREAMING IN MY HEAD.

I AM HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU HAD A GOOD TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND THAT THE FOOD WAS GOOD TOO.  I HOPE THE MARRIAGE WORKS OUT.  SEEMS DONNA HAS HAD HER SHARE OF DOWNERS AND NEEDS A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP.  HEARING THAT YOU AND MIKE LIKED HIM IS A BIG PLUS.

OH GOD, POOR SHARYL.  I AM PRAYING FOR HER.  I SUPPOSED AMPUTATION IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT ON FACEBOOK, UNLESS IT IS SHARYL DOING IT.  SHE MAY NOT WANT THE WORLD KNOWING WHAT IS GOING ON.  UNTIL SHE HAS COME TO TERMS WITH IT HERSELF.

MY POOR BOY HAD A BAD TUMMY.  DID THAT NAUGHTY BOY GET INTO SOMETHING HE SHOULD NOT HAVE? I LOVE THAT HE IS CLAIMING HIS SHARE OF YOUR LAP AND MAKING THE LAPTOP SHARE, LOL.

THERE WERE 3 EPISODES OF RIZZOLI, BUT I WATCHED ALL SO AM CAUGHT UP.  THEY WERE GOOD.

DR. HATAHET'S NURSE WROTE ME THAT THEY WERE CHANGING MY INHALER AS THE PHARMACY HAS BEEN HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MY PROAIR.  I FORGET WHAT THEY ARE CHANGING IT TO AND THE PHARMACY WILL ONLY SEND 1 MONTH AT A TIME.  THAT IS A PAIN IN THE ASS WITH A MAIL PHARMACY.  DAMN.  WONDER WHAT THIS WILL COST ME.  I WAS PAYING $6.5O FOR 3 INHALERS....NOW I WILL PROBABLY PAY THE SAME TO ONE.  SUCKS!

JOANNE IS TAKING MOM SHOPPING AGAIN ON FRIDAY.  THEY WILL GO TO EDITH'S BRIDAL AND CHECK OUT GOODWILL AND ST. VINNIE'S.  I SUPPOSE I SHOULD SAY ST. VINCENT DE PAUL.  I DO NOT KNOW IF IT PAYS TO GO TO THE SALVATION ARMY.  THEY NEVER USED TO HAVE ANYTHING REALLY NICE, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.  SHE STARTED AT TOPS IN 1988 AND MY DAD DIED 3 MONTHS LATER.  SO IT HAS TAKEN HER THAT LONG TO LOSE THE WEIGHT, BUT SHE HAS AND I AM PROUD OF HER.

WE CAUGHT UP ON DOWNTON'S ABBEY.  EXCEPT THE EPISODE THAT WAS ON LAST NIGHT, WHICH WAS NOT REALLY AN EPISODE, RIGHT?  AND THE NEXT WEEKS FINALE.  I HAD HOPED THAT LADY EDITH'S EX WOULD ACCEPT HER ANYWAY, SINCE SHE WAS WILLING TO MARRY HIM WHEN HE HAD NO TITLE.  BUT LISTENING TO WHAT A MAMA'S BOY HE IS, SHE MIGHT BE BEST WITHOUT HIM.  BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE HER HAPPY.  POOR LITTLE MARIGOLD.  BARROW TRYING TO COMMIT SUICIDE WAS SUCH A SHOCKER.  BUT BEFORE IT HAPPENED WE WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW WE WERE STARTING TO FEEL SORRY FOR HIM.  SO I WONDER SINCE THE ONE SERVANT IS GOING TO BE A TEACHER, MAYBE HE CAN STAY PERMANENTLY OR AS LONG AS THEY ARE THERE.  LADY MARY HAS FINALLY COME AROUND...HAPPY THEY GOT MARRIED.  AND OMG, HOUSE OF ILL REPUTE.  I THOUGHT WE WERE ALL GOING TO DIE FROM LAUGHING.  THERE ARE MOMENTS I HATE THE BUTLER, BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL WHEN SHE PRETENDED TO BE HURT AND HE HAD TO DO ALL HER WORK.  SO MUCH GOING ON.  I CANNOT BEAR TO SEE IT END.  WE DEFINITELY NEED MORE YET.  MAYBE THEY COULD GIVE US A MOVIE EACH YEAR, LOL.

THE OSCARS WERE OK, BUT I JUST AM NOT INTO WATCHING THEM LIKE I USED TO BE.  WE ALL ELECTED NOT TO DO OUR PREDICTIONS ANY MORE, AS MOST OF US HAD NOT SEEN  MANY OF THE MOVIES, I HAD SEEN NONE.  I ONLY SAW ONE DRESS THAT I LOVED.  IT WAS WORN BY LAST YEARS BEST ACTRESS AND I CANNOT RECALL HER NAME RIGHT NOW.  CHRIS ROCK MADE ALL HIS COMMENTS AND JOKES ABOUT THE FACT THE NO BLACK ACTORS WERE NOMINATED THIS YEAR AND SOME HAD DONE WONDERFUL JOBS IN GREAT MOVIES.  HE WAS FUNNY, BUT IT GOT OLD REAL FAST.  HE DID HAVE LOS ANGELES GIRL SCOUTS SELL COOKIES AND THEY RAISED A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR THEM.  THAT WAS CUTE.

WELL, IT IS 1AM AND I HAVE NOT BEEN TO FACEBOOK OR READ MY EMAIL.  IT IS NOT ALL GETTING DONE TONIGHT.  I HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED ON MY IPAD.  TAKE CARE MY FOREVER FRIEND AND I WILL CHAT WITH YOU TOMORROW.

XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/01/2016 11:33 AM)

Ah, sure and it's March, and I think it may be comin' in like a Lamb.   Except for Aimoo, which is coming in like a horse's patootie.

Wow!  You brilliantly combined St Pat's and Easter ~ I love it!  Beautiful!!

I agree about the information about Sharyl on Facebook.  Sharyl did get my flowers on Sunday, and she told her friend whom I've been talking to on Facebook that they were beautiful.  Her friend said she sounded a bit better.  I hope the flowers cheered her somewhat, bless her heart.

I hope your inhaler isn't screwed up so you end up having to pay more and having to go back and beg every month!  Fingers crossed for you!

Downton ~~ I had the same thought about Edith (that's why we need another season!  ha)  that if her beau came back, the mother-in-law could be quite an issue.  Still, I have always wanted to smack Mary right across the face, and I entertained myself with the idea of Edith being happily married ~ and titled! ~ and Mary left all alone in her lonely room with her bare lightbulb.  Ah, well.  (snicker)

I have detested the hateful Barrow for so long that I couldn't believe I had started to feel sorry for him!  I think it was because he appeared to realize that he was all alone and friendless because of the way he has always treated others.  I see a happy ending for him.   Did it crack you up that Sprat turned out to be the mystery woman writer??  LOL   Moseley becoming a teacher ~ perfect.  Mrs Pattmore's House of Ill Repute ~ too funny.  Mrs Hughes (Mrs Carson) "controlling" Carson ~ delightful.  So much going on ~ how can we wrap it all up in one more episode?

Yesterday was an exhausting, productive and good day for us!  First, our Tax return was deposited in our account ~ Yay!  I don't even feel so bad about giving Team Obama an interest free loan for a year, because I think if I were to calculate what we lost in interest from our saving accounts, it probably wouldn't be enough to buy a cup of coffee.  (tee hee)

Then Mike visited his new Neurologist and liked him very much.  He's a bit younger, shorter, beginning to bald, and was very positive about where Mike is.  He said he (Mike) could take an additional LevaDopa pill every day, if he wanted, and try taking it at different times ~ basically left it to Mike to see what worked best for him!  We had the feeling that his last increase of dosage put him near the top of what is allowed, and therefore there wouldn't be much else that could be done in the future short of surgery.  Well, not so!   He is taking 700mg and the top of the range is 2000.  Definitely made us both feel better.    The only negative is that that new to us restaurant we discovered near the Dr's office (Jus' Cookin') which we loved, has closed.  Bummer.   Instead we went to the Egg and I for breakfast, which was delish.

Then on to LazBoy because they had a Leap Year sale (29% off) that ended yesterday.   We re-looked at a power recliner we had looked at before, and I bought it for Mike as his early 70th birthday present.  He now sleeps in a recliner in the bedroom most of the time and it is no longer comfortable.  I really hope this one makes a big difference.  It's a rocker, but when Mike tries to get out of rockers it's hard, so they are going to fix this one for us so that it doesn't rock forward.  He won't use it as a rocker anyway, so that should make it work fine for him.  Not sure when we're getting it, but it should be fairly soon.  He did the Snoopy Happy Dance ~~ Parkinson's Style.  ;-)

Super Tuesday.  Colorado Caucuses and we really can't go.  I can't even imagine all that standing and walking ~~ shudder.  We don't even award delegates.  It seems worthless to me.

Looks like we will end up with Trump vs Hillary.  I'm just thrilled.  (That's sarcasm, in case you missed it.  lol)

Have a happy day!

Yes, yes, yes, everything was so fun about these episodes.  Except for the car crash and loss of life and with Bertie leaving Edith.  I did so want to smack Mary too.  Edith really should have told him before accepting his proposal, though she was pushed to do so by Bertie.  I would so have loved her having a happy ending and being openly able to say that Marigold was hers.  Mary is a bitch!  I hope she has truly learned her lesson.  Yes, Sprat as the writer really cracked me up.  I thought it was going to be someone she knew, but not Sprat, lol.  I was beginning to hate Mr. Carson, but I now think between the servants, his wife and the family...he might learn to loosen up a bit.  I am anxious to see how they finish it all up.  And worried I will not be happy.
I am so hooked on the Death by Chocolate series.  I love it.  A Psychic Cat, a heroine addicted to Coke and a Super Spy guy next door.  What more could you ask for?
I saw there was a new Nora Roberts book to preorder so I went and did so, but jeeze...$14.99 for an ebook?  That is ridiculous.  Penguin seems to be the worst when it comes to pricing.  Amazon has a disclaimer that they do not set the price, the publisher does.  Wish she would get a new publisher!!!
Yay for taxes being back in the bank and I am so happy that Mike likes his new doctor and the great news you go regarding his meds.  Woo Hoo.  I did not realize Mike was sleeping in a recliner too!  I called the casino/hotel that has the TOPS SRD and it does not have any recliners in any of it's rooms.  So they will not be going up the night before.  It is just as well, I know he will not sleep the night before but at least she can be comfortable.
I am usually passionate about who I want for President.  I am not so this time.  And the worse thing is that usually I am ok with the Republican candidate so do not worry to any extreme if my candidate does not win.  But I really am terrified that Trump could become president and that will be the end of our world as we know it.  He scares me.
Chat with you tomorrow.

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/02/2016 12:15 PM)

Happy Hump Day!

We've experienced the Luck o' the Irish!  Mike's chair was delivered yesterday afternoon, and he loves it!  He did the Parkinson's version of the Snoopy Dance!    Then I asked the guys who delivered it to take the old Scandinavian Design chair and it's matching footstool to the basement.  I tipped them of course.

Today we will collect Mike's Reward Meal for his visit to the Neurologist.  This is "Restaurant Week" in the Denver area.  For years, most restaurants have offered a multi-course meal for two for $52.80 (representing Denver's Mile High 5280' status).  Now the price has gone up a bit (not much), but they still offer excellent multi-course meals.  We're going to The Keg.  If it were MY reward meal, we'd be going to The Hideaway, but it isn't, and the Keg will be great.

This morning I realized that I really, REALLY need to color my hair, so I should do that in the next few days.  Just a couple of days ago I remarked to myself that I didn't need it yet, then overnight ~ yiikes.  lol

Godiva sent me an email this morning offering free shipping with no Minimum, and they have a cute limited edition Gund Bunny with some wrapped Godiva Chocolates, so I'm taking advantage of the free shipping to send one to each of "my" kids for Easter.  I even was able to arrange to have them arrive the week before Easter instead of way too early.  See?  I told you.  Luck of the Irish!

I absolutely loved the Death by Chocolate series too.   I gobbled them all up, bing, bing, bing ~ and I read very little anymore.  Delicious!

We bought that big King sized bed when we moved here thinking it would be perfect, but more and more Mike had trouble propping up enough and he finally began spending more and more time in the recliner.  What a waste that King size bed is now!   Not a problem because the bedroom is big, but we sure wouldn't have gotten it if we had known then what we know now.  It's horrid to make.

I think the Republicans had a wealth of good candidates before the Trump Takeover and I could have been happy to vote for most of them (not all).  Then one by one they were forced out, and the remaining have been badly damaged.  That said, we are now talking about things we would never have talked about if Trump hadn't gotten into the race.  Those ("shhh.  it's not PC to mention" things)   For instance the Syrian "Refugees".  Does anyone notice what has happened to Germany and France and England where entire cities have been taken over by these thugs and people who have lived there for centuries have been forced out?   Worse, their own leaders take the side of the so-called "Refugees" rather than their own people, and both the police and press try to cover up what is happening.  Horrifying ~ and Obama wants to bring that nightmare here, and I'm sure he will.  No one ever stops him from doing anything he wants.   Anyone notice that those "Refugees" are all young men?  If they were really fleeing from some bad situation, would they leave their wives and children there to face whatever it was alone?  Their parents?  Their brothers and sisters?   Then when they get to their new city, they experience "Sexual Emergencies" and rape a 9 year old boy ~ or as many women as they can get their hands on.  But 'shhhh'.  Don't say anything about it.    Coming soon to a neighborhood near you and me.

How I hate the thought of voting Against instead of For again.  I've had to do that the last two or three times, and I hate it more than I can say, but I will vote against Hillary.

No, the end of our world as we knew it happened when Obama promised to "Fundamentally Change" America, and did.  My country is lost, probably forever.          ;-(

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/02/2016 4:24 PM)

Humpty Dumpty Day as my mom calls it.  She thinks she is pretty funny.  She came up with that after I texted Happy Humpity Dumpity Day last week to Jason.  We do that about time school gets out so that he remembers to come here.  He forgot a couple of times and we had to get Suz to come do it.  Yay, he just ran in and took care of business and is done.  He had a friends little brother in the truck and is taking him home for him.
While you were posting, I was making St. Pat's Borders and posting them in my borders.  The link is below, I made 10 new ones from our tiles here in the group.

http://forum2.aimoo.com/CUPPAGALS/Borders-by-Lou-Ann-AKA-LouLou-the-Unicorn-Queen/St-Pat-s-1-1196866.html

Fantastic that Mike's chair came and that he likes the fit.  I always worry that something they adjust will change how it fits you.  My dream is for a big oversized chair.  I got my cloud at Big Lots for only $250.  I will have to keep an eye open if they ever have them again.  The I could move the one in my bedroom out here and get rid of the one I am in.  It needs to be recovered.  All is comfy except the seat, but I have a cushion on it and that makes it good.  I bought a cover for it but it was crap...too small got the chair and the material pilled immediately.  It is half off and half on.  I should take it all off, but need my sister to do that for me.  Oh well, a girl can dream.  Until then, I sleep just fine in the one you paid for.  Just short in the legs and the top does not want to stay down.  I should check to see if my extra warranty is still in effect.  I am going to do that, lol.
We will have to disagree regarding Obama.  I like him a lot.  I do not agree with everything he has done and if he let's those refugees in without checking them out to the fullest, then he will be going out on a bad note with me.  But I think he has done a lot of good for this country.  I could have lived with a lot of the Republican candidates as President.  Just not Trump.  He would be the first US President that I would openly say bad things about.  I have never done that.  I feel as a country we need to support the President whether we voted for them or not.  They deserve respect.  But that is not something I could give to Trump....he would have to go a very long way to earn respect from me.  The man is a Dictatorial Ass!  Ok, enough.
What color do you use for your hair?  I am going to be 60 this year and I am thinking to do something drastic with my hair...well, maybe not drastic.  But thinking maybe a color that would require lifting color from my hair.  If she does not lighten my hair, color hardly shows since I have dark brown hair.  I have gone egg plant and mahogany and ravishing red before and you could only see some of the color in bright sunlight....otherwise no.  I may go the eggplant with her lifting first.  Dark Purple would be cool, but at the same time a very dark red would be nice and I am very pale so I would be ok as a redhead.  We will see....what do you think?  I do not want to turn 60.  I did not like turning 50 and I do not like 60 even more.  To me, that is the beginning of being over the hill.  I know it is all in my head, but that is how I see it and feel.  If I was vital and working, and able to get around I could poo poo it.  But I am not so 60, seems like 80 to me.  My mom is 83 and gets around and is healthier than I am.  Makes me sad.  I think I am starting to get cabin fever...I am more than ready for Spring and we got 3 inches of new snow.  Just when it was all melting away.
Cheer up Lou Lou!  Tell me a good joke, I need a laugh!!
Chat with you tomorrow.
XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/03/2016 8:59 AM)

Good Morning!

It looks like the wind has gone down, so I got the trash can to the curb ~ after adding a bit more to it.     Yesterday was unreal.  The wind was making the most awful noise, especially in our little front room, and going out to get the mail was not fun a'tall.  I thought the roof was going to come off!  We decided not to go to the Keg, but instead to wait until tonight.

Then last night Mike said he thought he wanted to go to the OPH for brunch this morning and not go to the Keg until Sunday, which is the last day for Restaurant Week.   Who knows what he'll actually want to do today ~ lol.  I just go with the flow.

I've been awake since 4:30 and finally gave up and got up close to 6.  I tried to be sooo quiet and brought my laptop and all up to the Morning Room, and 15 minutes later Mike was up.  So much for tip toeing around. ;-)  Now the sun is up as well.

YAY ~ New St Pat's borders!  Thank you for sharing!

I did think of you a lot during this time when we have been buying and looking at recliners.   So many of them looked like they would be good for you ~ but of course how things look has nothing to do with how comfortable they really are.   Our Great room chairs are really good looking, I think, but they have never been comfortable for me, and now they aren't for Mike either.  When we bought them we put them in the Living Room at the old house, but we basically lived in the Family Room.  In the living room, I'd often sit on the couch, or put a pillow behind my back and not use the recliner as a recliner so I could sit up straight.  I bought them because they were comfy for Mike and I knew I wouldn't be using them all that much and I loved the way they looked.   Now, they are our main chairs.

Ah, I got distracted from my original thought, which was that I would love for you to have a cushy LaZboy Power recliner, and I thought of you often during our time looking.    I also almost bought you a box of Godiva yesterday!   No reason except they had a one day Free Shipping, and I am such a sucker for Free Shipping.  LOL   I controlled myself and didn't send you extra sugar and carbs.  You're welcome.  Ha!   Speaking of ~~ I'm not sure I have the right address for you.  Didn't your birthday present go to the wrong address?   Please email me your address so I'm sure I have the right one.

Your "Cloud"?   I'm so glad to hear that you can sleep on the recliner you have in your bedroom, but I wish it were more purrrfect.   Ah, well.

We definitely have to disagree on Obama ~ and I forgive you for putting him in charge.  Often.    I do, of course, respect the Office of President, but I have no respect at all for the man who currently inhabits that office.  Less than none.

I use L'Oreal 6 1/2G, Light Golden Brown hair color.   Have for years.  And years.   In my misspent youth, I too had fun with colors.  I was a blonde and went blonder, or sometimes red and a few times brunette!   I also had wigs, and loved them.  One was black, and it was very flattering to my face, I thought.  Now, I'm boring ~ but never gray!  ;-)       Eggplant and Mahogany ~ how fun!

I've told you what a terrible time I had with "60".   I've never had a problem with any other birthday, and if fact made fun of those who did.  Then I came to the year I was going to be s-s-s-s s-s   ~~~~ I couldn't even say the word!   I knew I was being ridiculous, but I didn't care.  I felt what I felt ~ and what I felt was DREAD.   We celebrated all year long with little trips and things, and then the actual birthday in the Mendocino area of CA and two wonderful B&Bs.  Mike had a button on one of the cards he gave me that morning that said "I'm 60!" and he "made" me wear it all day.  (Of course you know he didn't "make" me do anything I wasn't willing to do ).   By the end of the day, I was Healed, and it was my very best birthday ever!    I hope yours will be too!

It really is funny how your perspective changes based on which side of "the number" you are on.   When I read those delightful "Southern Sisters" mysteries, I thought of the women as 'old ladies' ~~ until with a shock I realized that I was the same age as the younger sister!   I loved her dearly, and when I learned that the author, Anne George, had died during heart surgery while I was reading her last book, I felt like I had lost my very dear friend "Patricia Ann", and I was heartbroken.  I couldn't even pick the book up to finish for weeks.    Now I will read of someone in their eighties and think of them as old, and having had a good long life ~ until I realize with a shock that they aren't all that much older than I am!  I am planning on another 30 years, so of COURSE they aren't OLD!  Sheesh!   LOL

And so it goes.  I am NOT attending tonight's debate.  I'm so sick of all the infighting I could scream.   I also think the Fox News Moderators are among the worst, which was a surprise to me.  Not THE worst, but up there.  Fox Business News Moderators were excellent, and surprisingly CNN moderators were good.  Who'da thought?     Whatever.  They'll be going at it without me.

Update:   No OPH this morning, but The Keg on Sunday.    We'll see.

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/03/2016 8:52 PM)

I was not going to talk politics tonight and I am still not, but I am going to post some pics that I found pretty funny.

A picture's worth a 1000 words.

Joanne is taking mom shopping tomorrow.  Cross your fingers that she finds something she loves.  I told her not to settle for something that was not everything she wanted.  We are going to look at some dresses I have bookmarked on line to give her and idea of what she wants or does not want.

You are right, as much as I would have loved the chocolates, I do not need them.  I just cannot get myself under control.  I may tell mom I do not want the carbs at supper.  Skip the potatoes, rice, dressing, etc.  Just eat meat and veggies.  Some fresh fruit, even though it is carbs.  I will have to do eggs and cheese at breakfast.   I really do not know how to do low car right.  I know it is high protein.  What can you tell me about a basic low carb diet. I really do not feel like reading a book about carbs right now.
Well, I never realized that Mike was so indecisive at times.  It is good that you are comfortable going with the flow.
I really am fretting over 60.  And Suz keeps bringing it up all the time. "Big 6-0 this year."  I freaked a bit at 25 as Gary pointed out it was "a quarter of a century old".  That sound so old.  To me, 60 days "senior citizen".  How can I be a senior citizen??
The answer is "I can't!"  lol.
Well, I have to vote for Idol and then show mom dresses.  Chat with you tomorrow.
XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/04/2016 11:14 AM)

Good Morning.

Beautiful day yesterday, and it looks to be another today.

OhMyGosh, those pictures are hysterical!  Too funny!

I just heard something that I think could ~ possibly ~ be Trump's Achilles heel, but since you don't want to talk politics, I won't mention it.  (Tee hee!)    Of course this minutes "Breaking News" is tomorrow's debunked news.  It's all getting so tiresome.

Oh, I really do hope your mom finds something she loves today!   I would hate to need to find something really special for myself with a time limit.  I might stumble over it by accident when I wasn't looking, but to HAVE to find something ~ shudder.  Everything is designed for the young and thin and in styles that just aren't for us 'mature' women.   I'll cross my fingers and toes for her!

I've tried to start resisting the carbs, but I'm not on a strict low carb diet and I'm not loosing well.  Actually, if I were on a strict low carb diet, I suspect I wouldn't loose well anyway.  I'm so inactive.  I used to be able to peel off 10 lbs in a couple of weeks!   All I can do is try.  At least I'm not eating (today!) like I have been eating.  We'll see.

I'll see if I can't find an easy 'cheat sheet' for you, but I suspect you won't really want to go that way.  Your mom has been so successful, maybe she can be your guide.

Mike isn't usually particularly indecisive, but we've both come to realize that we don't really HAVE to commit to many schedules, so why should we.

Maybe I should join Suz and keep talking up The Big 6-0 ~~~ not to be mean, but Mike kept doing that during my year, and ultimately I got over all those awful feelings.   Maybe I would have anyway, but that one was hard for me so I do understand what you are feeling.   Looking at "60" now from my vantage point, you're just a kid.   ;-)

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/04/2016 10:23 PM)

I am going without a border.  I am so tired today that I have done nothing but

fall asleep over and over again today.  I even napped half and hour.  I feel wiped

out and I do not feel like doing anything.  I did pay all my bills today.  My

insurance cost went up, the electric went up, the cable went up and my

checkbook, just a day after getting paid only has $24 left in it for the month

and I do have $25 in cash.  I need an intervention.  No more spending $ like

there is no tomorrow.  Tomorrow is here and it is not pretty.

I am fearful that I am getting sick and that is why I am so tired.  When I was

at Fauska's on Sunday, Louann said that Samuel had Influenza A.  I said they

are not coming are they and she said no.  So I recalled on facebook they posted

that both Liam and Samuel had the sniffles and they both go to the same day

care.  When they were there Liam was tired and a bit fussy and they left early.

Now I read on facebook that Liam is running a temp and is ill.  Today Joanne got

sick and is running a high temp and cough and Diane was too and is on antibiotics.

We are supposed to be doing Jason's birthday Sunday and I told them that I

was not coming within 10 ft of any of them.  I am so fearful of getting sick.

OK, I said I was not going to talk politics, I did not say you could not.  I want to

hear about Trump's Achilles heel.

Mom did get a dress today.  It is beautiful but not a pastel like she wanted.

She said they did not have any pastels.  I found that hard to believe as Spring

is practically here.  I will have to take a pic of it as I did not get the best look

at it.  It is a lot of lace and some beading or sequins...I remember sparkle.

Now Joanne wants her to get sparkly shoes and she does not want that.

My mother hardly eats, that's how she lost hers.  But when I switched to salads

at lunch instead of sandwiches, she joined me and that is when she lost the last

of hers.  She really eats small portions.  She snacks and claims she doesn't but

she does and can afford to, lol.  I snack too much.  I also need to quit buying

from Prime Pantry....I buy too many things that I should not be eating.  I shop

there when I am hungry and I should not.  I need to be more honest and stop

avoiding the scale.  Each Monday I am going to post my weight in my weight room

area.  Where you can see it and call me out if I am gaining.  I am also going to

start writing down what I am eating.  it makes it more real to myself when it is

in writing.  Wish me luck.

OMG, poor Sharyl.  I do not know a lot about flesh eating viruses other than

they are a very nasty disease and sometimes not curable...depending on how fast

acting it is.  Will increase my prayers for her.  How awful for her.

Time to go, am definitely going to bed early.

XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/05/2016 9:14 AM)

Good Morning.

Terrible night last night. A lot of back pain before I went to bed, and then it moved to my legs and feet and didn't let up.  I got up at 5 and came into the Morning room and read.   Then when I tried to sign in here, I couldn't.  The little spinny thing just kept spinning and spinning and wouldn't let me in for the longest time.    I hope the worst is behind me, and this isn't an indicator of how the day will go!

We binge watched House of Cards yesterday.  Much left to watch, which is fun, but is it really very dark and distressing, or is that just my reaction after watching the real life politics?   I dunno.  Timely.

I am completely exhausted by the Election shenanigans.  One candidate has emerged for me ~~ so far.   Just waiting for the poop to hit his fan. Ha.   I really wish Dr Carson had been possible.  He makes me feel good just to listen to him or read his remarks.  I think he's a quiet giant among midgets ~~~ on BOTH sides of the aisle.

I hope you feel better today.   I hate that tired-can't-do-anything feeling!   It's also depressing to pay bills so early in the month and have nothing left.  I'm sure that adds to your tiredness.  It just does!

I really hope you are not getting sick!   Barb has had a nasty bug for a week and yesterday her husband Tom started getting sick.  I think I'm glad I'm a Hermit!  I've always said that Parents are Germ Carriers, courtesy of their little ones.  When we retired and stopped going to the office, we pretty much stopped being sick ~ well, "normal" sick, anyway.   Parkinson's and TM are definitely not "normal".  lol

Oh, gosh, I hope your mom doesn't get sick!

I'm so glad your mom got a beautiful dress!   What color IS it?

Diet ~ I really don't eat that much at meal times usually.  My problem isn't over eating, it's snacking.   Left to my own devices I would probably skip most meals and JUST snack, and we all know that snacks are not low carb.  I'm trying.  We'll see.

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/05/2016 6:25 PM)

Is your pain any better?  I hate knowing that you were in pain all night.  Do you have any idea what might have set it off?  I hope you had some good pain medication you could take?  Does it radiate down the legs or is it just constant.  You know a lot of mine turned out to be due to nerves.  The Gabapentin I take really does help.  I take it 3 times a day.

I think a lot of my tiredness might be depression.  When I am bored and doing the same old thing I keep falling asleep.  If I am busy doing something new, or reading I do not fall asleep.  Well, I think i do a bit when I am reading, lol.  I see Dr. Hatahet this month so will see if it has anything to do with my sleep apnea and if not will need to talk to Denise about my anti-depressant.  I am already taking the highest dose for my current med.  She said in the past we could add something or try something new.  I would hate to go new as it can take months to regulate and get the effects of an antidepressant.  I know that when I am off my med for a couple of days I cry and am weepy a lot.  I do not want that.

I do worry about the little ones giving me bugs, especially since they go to daycare.  But so far so good.  I really think I am not getting sick but more likely it is the depression issue.  Let's hope so.  Today has been a little better.

Moms dress is a shade of green I believe.  I mostly remember the sparkles.  I did not see it with the plastic off of it.  I am going to remember to get a pic.  I want her to try it on for me, but she seems tired these days.  The problem they found when looking at dresses was that she is a 16 on top....bust/shoulders/etc.  But because of her belly (she always looked pregnant even when she was not) she is a 20 on the bottom.  The only way that would change would be to have the loose flabby tummy would have to be surgically removed.  She is not doing that and we do not want her to have to wear a spanx either.  So the dress is a bit big on top.  I want to see how big because is needed, Diane has a friend who is a seamstress who could do some altering if needed.

I will be going to Fauska's to finish watching Downton tomorrow, so may not be on here.  Do not know how long we are staying.

Snacking is my downfall too.  I do not eat a lot at meals.  But I snack and not on things that are good for me.  And I eat too much of them.  I need to stick to my rule about only bringing a small amount to the living room with me and not the whole package.  I have been craving chocolate lately and it seems so  uncontrollable.  I even ate a package on mint filled chocolate chips and the peanut butter ones have been calling my name.  Especially since mom doesn't like them.  I do not want to give in...but since I am going on the straight and narrow tomorrow..........

Anyway, I will chat with you as soon as I can... XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/06/2016 10:02 AM)

. . . along with a few other things. ;-)

What a difference a day makes.   I slept well and pain free last night.   I felt horrid yesterday morning after a night of pain, so I decided against coloring my hair or anything else and I "Called in sick".  After a few aspirin and some coffee and some breakfast I began to feel better ~ but I still didn't motivate.  Fortunately the pain left, and it hasn't returned.

I watched CPAC, though most of the speeches i would have enjoyed were on Friday, and I read a Cleo Coyle mystery with the news in the background.  Later Mike came in and we binge watched House of Cards AND The Killing on Netflix.  We didn't finish either of them, but they are both pretty intense.  In the evening we watched Sabrina!   I hadn't seen that for decades.  Light and fluffy and fun, and probably just what we needed after half a day of watching House and Killing.  Then we watched the newest Murdock Mystery and finished off with Midsomer Murders.   Much better to go to bed with.  :^)

My (current) candidate won the CPAC Straw-poll and the KS and ME Caucuses, but of course I won't say who he is.  LOL

Shogun spent some time on my lap yesterday too.  Mike commented on it and I told him that he wasn't really sitting on me, he was sitting on my fur lap robe.  If it were over Mike's legs he'd be on his lap, and if it were on the floor he'd be there. LOL/  Still, it's a start.   I think one day he may start to become an Aby.  ;-)

I hate that you are experiencing more depression, though it's understandable in a way.  When we aren't able to get out and about and don't have much control of our "world", whether large or small, it's easy to get depressed.   While my small world is good, the larger world around me is just wrong, and that depresses me!  Not to the point of needing drugs, yet, but it's good that there are helps available for us.

Definitely a good idea to have a seamstress work on your mom's dress to make it just right for her.   I'd love to see a picture when she is all done up for the big do.

Maybe I should have sent you that box of chocolates when they had free shipping.   I was trying to be considerate of your desire to loose and not gain, because I surely identify with that!  On the other hand, Chocolate is a defence against the Dark Arts!   We NEED chocolate from time to time.

I will join you tonight at Downton ~ for the last time.   Now that IS depressing!   I honestly can't imagine how they will wind all the story lines up, but I'm sure they will.

Stay clear of the Germ Carriers!  ;-)

RE:WELCOME TO MARCH CHAT
(Date Posted:03/06/2016 9:42 PM)

I was so confused yesterday as I thought it was Sunday.
I will not be seeing Downton until Monday.  So it is tomorrow that I
probably will not be on.  I got up yesterday and mom was gone and
I thought she had gone to church and then grocery shopping.
She came home with groceries.  I forgot Suz was taking her to the
store Sat. instead of Sun.  It did not dawn on me till late last night
that I was all turned around, lol.

Hopefully my sisters will get plenty of pictures of mom all dolled
up as I do not intend to get up at 5am to see the get ready and Jo
doing her hair and make-up.   I will see how she looks when she
gets home and see if her make up lasts, lol.  Mom never wore
make up, just lipstick.  And when we were young it was always
red. Now when she wears it, it is much lighter and more  natural
coloring.  She always looks great in red, that is why I wanted her
to get a red dress.  But she did not think she could re-wear that any
where.  The green she can use if any of the grandsons marry
while she is still alive.

OMG, it is thundering outside.  We are going to get a thunder
and lightning storm.  Radar has some areas looking pretty
wicked, but that probably will miss up.  I am excited!  I love
a good storm.

I am so happy that your pain is gone and that you slept well.
Sometime during the night I took off may Cpap and turned it
off and slept beautifully.  And I have not been so tired today.
Of course I did not have the alertness to at least put on my
oxygen so slept without any for a time, but no clue how long.

Now I could handle it if Cruz won Republican and President.
Far more that that idiot Trump.  It is such a joke.  But people
are tired of political correctness, and inaction, and illegal
aliens and so much more, that they are willing to accept that
jerk because he says he can fix it all and it is just not going to
happen.

My depression is a direct result of my bone marrow transplant.
When I entered the hospital I was cheerful and positive and by
the time I left it I did not care, other than I wanted to go home.
When I went back to the local Cancer Center the nurses noted it
immediately.  After only a couple of visits they approached me
and talked to me about it and went to the Dr. and then I met with
him and he started me on antidepressant.  He said the deep
chemo they did prior to my bone marrow was more than likely
the cause, that was also what ruined my immune system.  So you
trade life for health...but you are alive.  There have been a few
times that I actually wished the Cancer had taken me, but I
that was just the depression and not real.  I would never take my
own life.  Just never would.

So sad that the country has lost a great lady.  Rest in Peace
Nancy Reagan.  You were a great First Lady and a wonderful
woman.  The world is a sadder place without you.

Ok, well, I am going to go do the email thing.  Maybe will chat
tomorrow but otherwise on Tuesday for sure.
XOXOXO
