(Date Posted:12/11/2016 2:13 AM)

I DID GO TO FAUSKA'S!!  I DID NOT SAY I DIDN'T.
WE HAD A GOOD TIME WATCHING REIGN.  WE ALSO FACE TIMED
KIRSTIE AND LIAM, LIAM HAS MOUTH, HAND AND FOOT DISEASE
SO HE COULD NOT GO TO DAY CARE SO KIRSTIE WAS HOME WITH
HIM.  SO AT KIRSTIE'S PROMPTING HE PROCEEDED TO TELL US THAT
HE WAS GOING TO HAVE A BABY BROTHER OR SISTER.
YIPEE, THAT WILL MAKE GRANDCHILD #7 FOR LOUANN & BRUCE.
THURSDAY I LOST MY INTERNET CONNECTION LATE, JUST AS I
WAS COMING TO VISIT WITH YOU AND PLAY MY GAME ON FACEBOOK,
SO BOTH WENT UNDONE.  IT TOLD ME TO RESET MY COMPUTER MODEM
AND THEN MY WIFI MODEM, I DID NOT WANT TO BE FUTZING AROUND
AROUND IN THE DARK AND DISTURBING MY MOM.  SO I WENT TO BED.
FRIDAY NIGHT WAS MY TOOTH.  I SET IT OFF BY CHEWING A VERY OLD PIECE OF GUM WHILE I WAS OUT TO ANTICOAG BECAUSE I GET SO DRY,
IT REALLY IRRITATED MY TOOTH AND SET ME OFF. THANK YOU FOR THE
OFFER TO HELP PAY FOR THE DENTIST. BUT MOM IS GOING TO LET ME
PUT IT ON HER CREDIT CARD, WHICH SHE PAYS OFF EVERY MONTH. BUT
I AM GOING TO LOOK INTO WAS OTHER DENTISTS TAKE MY DENTAL INSURANCE, BECAUSE I AM NOT HAPPY WITH DENTAL C0NSULTANTS;
THEY ARE JUST TOO EXPENSIVE AND I DISLIKE THE DENTIST THAT DOES THE TOOTH PULLING.  HE IS TOO ROUGH;. BUT MY BLOOD IS STILL TOO THIN. SO HOPING TO WAIT TILL AFTER THE HOLIDAYS.
TODAY WE GOT SOME HELP FROM JOSH, BRENT AND JASON. TO MY AC CAME OUT OF THE WINDOW, THE OLD CHAIR OUT OF MY ROOM AND OUT ONTO THE PORCH.  MY NEW CHAIR INTO MY ROOM.  MOMS AC OUT.
TREE UP FROM THE BASEMENT AND UP. ORNAMENTS UP FROM BASEMENT.  LIGHTS UP OUTSIDE., SO A LOT DONE AND I AM OVERLY
TIRED. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING A SNOW STORM TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW.  WE WILL SEE HOW MUCH WE GET.
STAY WARM, CONGRATS ON GETTING THE CARDS DONE AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE GARLAND/

RE:WELCOME TO DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/11/2016 8:03 AM)

Hello!
It's Sunday, it's 32 degrees here, heading for a high of 43 and my weather thingy says that it's snowing.  I don't know if that's accurate or not.
Today is our annual neighborhood Christmas Party, and we aren't going.  Hey, somebody has to be Mr & Mrs Scrooge!   Sue and John even offered to take us, but our issues are more than just getting there.  We've both been having problems, and frankly we just wouldn't enjoy it.   I suspect someone will bring us a Care Package after the party ~ last year two neighbors did.  I do feel guilty about that, but I know it makes THEM feel better, and of course everything is always delicious and would be left-over, so we will graciously accept it if it's offered.  ;-)

I didn't quite finish my cards, but we ordered return address labels and they won't be here until tomorrow afternoon, so we can't mail the cards before Tuesday anyway.    Tomorrow, we plan to run some errands in the morning and we HAD planned to mail the cards, then we will have lunch at the Bonefish so we can pick up a gift card to add to Mike's sister and bil's gift.   We're still waiting for a gift card we ordered for Laine from Ikea, and then we will be done.  I think.  '-p

We didn't get the garland put up on the porch rail yesterday.  Mike really hasn't been doing well ~ nothing major, but problematic, AND we learned that we don't have any outside timer cords.  I know we have had them, but who knows where things go.  We ordered an outside timer and cord that should be here Tuesday and we thought we would put the lights up and test them with an indoor timer and then just have to add the new cord and timer when it came, but as I say, Mike wasn't feeling great so we decided to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to do the whole thing.   He thinks he will at least put up the lights today.   I do not.  Ha.

It's been so cold that I've wondered if that wasn't what happened to this week ~~ we just froze in place and the week went by without us.  LOL

We didn't get the freezing rain, thank goodness!   Mike put up a new Weather Thingy App on my phone from "The Weather Channel", that is supposed to be so much better than the one I've been using.  As far as I am concerned, it is not!    Mike likes apps, and for some reason, he likes to put them on MY phone.  I do threaten to slap his hands!  Lol.

Obviously I read your last post wrong ~ and I'm glad I was wrong and that you did go to your friends and had a really nice time.

I'm also glad you have a solution with the tooth problem.  I worry about you neglecting it when it could cause you some real health problems in addition to the pain.   Ok.  Extracting my long nose from your business now.  ;-)

Great that the boys came and got so much done for you!   Did you sleep in your new chair in your room last night?  Was it wonderful??

RE:WELCOME TO DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/11/2016 11:30 PM)

WE GOT 5-6 INCHES OF SNOW.  IT STARTED LAST NIGHT AND HAS BEEN ON AND OFF ALL NIGHT AND TODAY.  MOSTLY OFF SINCE THIS MORNING, BUT NOW AND THEN YOU SEE THE FLURRIES FLYING.  BUD, OUR LANDLORD, WAS HERE LAST NIGHT SEEING IF CHRIS AND SCOTT WERE GOING TO CONTINUE SHOVELING AND FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING IT DONE EARLY IN CASE ANYONE NEEDS TO GET OUT.  THEY SAID THEY PLANNED ON IT, SO WE WILL SEE.  I HOPE THEY DO A BETTER JOB THAN THEY DID LAST YEAR.
I DID SLEEP IN MY NEW CHAIR LAST NIGHT AND IT IS A LEARNING PROCESS.  IT FELT GREAT WHEN I WENT TO BED, BUT I SOON DISCOVERED THAT AT THE POINT WHERE THE FOOT REST STARTS THERE IS NO PADDING ON THE TOP EDGE, WHICH IS RIGHT WHERE I TUCK MY FOOT ON THE LEG THAT I DRAW UP.  SO I WILL FIGURE SOMETHING OUT FOR THAT. ALSO WHEN I SLIDE DOWN IN MY SLEEP, MY HEAD LANDS AT THE TOP OF CUSHIONING MAKING THE ANGLE OF MY HEAD TOO MUCH AND MAKING MY NECK HURT,  SO I WILL NEED TO WORK ON THAT, AS MY NECK WAS QUITE PAINFUL OTHER THAN THAT, IT IS GREAT.
MY TOOTH IS MUCH BETTER BUT I WILL BE LOOKING AT OTHER DENTISTS AND SEE WHERE IT GOES.  I WOULD LIKE TO BE IN A SMALLER PRACTICE SITUATION.  I HATE THE BIG  HUGE DENTAL ASSOCIATES AND WITH IT;S COOKIE CUTTER IN AND OUT AND YOU DO NOT EVEN SAVE ANY MONEY.  WHEN I SAID WHAT I WANTED TO DO, THEY IGNORED ME COMPLETELY.  SO I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
I AM SORRY MIKE IS NOT DOING AS WELL AS USUAL AND THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE CHRISTMAS PARTY, BUT YOU KNOW I UNDERSTAND.
I DID NOT GET THE ORNAMENTS ON THE TREE, STILL NOT GET UP AND GO. HOPEFULLY TOMORROW.  I WANT TO ASK SUZANNE TO GET UP ON A STEP STOOL AND FLUFF THE BRANCHES OUT MORE.  THEY ARE TOO CLUMPY AND I GET DIZZY TRYING TO STEP UP AND LOOK UP.  IF SHE WILL, THEN I CAN PUT THE ORNAMENTS ON.
NO APPTS UNTIL FRI, SO I HOPE TO GET SOME THINGS DONE. SUZ IS ON VACATION ALL WEEK BUT WE CANNOT MONOPOLIZE HER TIME AS SHE WANTS TO CLEAN HER PLACE AND PUT UP A TREE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LIKE 5 YEARS.  BUT I WANT HER TO TAKE OUR CARD PICTURE SO I CAN GET THAT ORDER IN.  WE WILL BE GETTING THEM OUT LATE AGAIN.  LATE IS BECOMING OUR NEW NORM.
MOM FELL YESTERDAY.  I DO NOT THINK SHE HAS AND REAL INJURY OTHER THAN SOME DEEP BRUISING. HE LEFT HIP OR MORE INNER TOWARD THE BACK.  I SWEAR THAT IF SOMETHING IS NOT HURTING SHE IS NOT HAPPY....NOT THAT SHE IS EVER HAPPY.  WE HAVE TOLD HER WHEN SHE GOES TO THE DOCTOR TOMORROW SHE NEEDS TO ASK FOR HER ANTIDEPRESSANT TO BE INCREASED AND I EXPLAINED TO HE WHY.  SHE ALSO NEEDS TO ASK THE DOCTOR TO LOWER HER WEIGHT GOAL AND SHE IS HAVING TROUBLE STAYING WITHIN HER WEIGHT RANGE,  TOPS ALLOWS YOU TO DROP TO 7 LBS BELOW YOUR GOAL AND SHE IS HAVING TROUBLE NOT GOING LOWER THAN THAT.  AND THEN SHE FRETS ABOUT THAT.  AS I SAY, SHE THRIVES ON THE NEGATIVE TOO MUCH LATELY.
I HOPE YOU GET LOTS OF GOODIES DROPPED OFF AFTER THE PARTY.
HUGS,

RE:WELCOME TO DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/12/2016 10:29 AM)

Good morning

Really cold overnight, but heading for the mid-40s.  I did finish the cards yesterday and now wait for the return labels so we can get them in the mail.

Mike went ahead and got the lighted garland up on the porch railing without me, and even found that he could attach the cord to the timer the guys who decorated for us used until we get our own timer on Wednesday, sooo it goes on and off at the same time the rest of the lights do ~ on based on the solar timer, and off 6 hours later.

I watched a lot of our neighbors going past our house but across the street heading for the Party, and a couple of hours later John and Sue brought us plates of goodies!   They wouldn't stay, so we were able to break into the plates for our dinner right away, and we have enough left over for tonight!   There was apparently a very big crowd and loads of goodies.   The HOA provides turkey and ham, and everyone else brings something to add.  We had all sorts of hot and cold sides and lots of cookies!     Roxie, who hosted with her husband Jim, always gives every family in the neighborhood an ornament every Christmas, no matter where the party is held.   Sue brought ours, a very pretty porcelain ornament with a natavity scene in the middle.  This is our sixth "Roxanne Ornament".

Today we are going to make a Liquor run and then go to the Bonefish for lunch so we can pick up a gift card to supplement Marianne and Bill's Christmas present.

I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday.  I'm not sure how Mike is doing yet.    I actually slept a lot better last night than I have been.  I know Mike was doing a lot of praying for me.  I think I scared him.  I kinda scared myself ~ lol.

To our surprise, we found that the New Zealand series "Brokenwood" Season Three has started.  I kept looking to see when or even IF it would be coming back and nothing ~ then all of a sudden, there it was.   One new hour and a half episode every Monday on Acorn, but sadly as usual, only four episodes.  We'll take what we can get.  lol    We introduced Mary Ann and Benji to that series when they were here and they loved it and asked if there would be a Season 3.  As soon as I saw it I texted her to tell her it was back, only to be met with her "I know.  We've already  watched the first one."   Well, dampen MY enthusiasm!  LOL

You certainly don't have to dream about a White Christmas!   As cold as it's been I don't imagine you have to worry about all that snow melting any time soon, unless you get rain.

We still have snow on the grassy areas but not on the pavement ~ just the way I like it!  Nothing predicted until Friday, but we'll see.

I'm sorry your mom isn't feeling well.  I notice that when I'm not feeling great, I get crabbier or at least a lot less open to being happy.  Then when the pain or whatever is bothering me leaves, I'm myself again.     I hope a slight adjustment on her antidepressents will help.   No one ever means to "share", but you can't live with someone who is in a bad mood without having it effect you too.

Gosh, I WISH my problem were dropping BELOW my weight goal!  LOL  I'm so far from a normal weight that going below it is beyond my imagining.  lol

How neat that Suz is going to put up a tree for the first time in a while!  I hope you get yours fixed soon too.  I still haven't put up any other decorations ~ not that I do much ~ but it will look a lot better when I do.  It just tends to make your face smile. ;-)

YES, WE CERTAINLY DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT

OUR SNOW GOING ANYWHERE SOON.  IT IS DAMN COLD

AROUND HERE.  I HAVE NO OUTINGS UNTIL FRIDAY

UNLESS I DO SOMETHING WITH SUZ. I OFFERED TO

COME OVER AND HELP HER, THOUGH THERE IS NOT A

LOT THAT I CAN DO.  BUT MAYBE WE CAN DO A LITTLE

SHOPPING EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NO MONEY LEFT TO DO

THAT, LOL.  I HATE BEING BROKE AND THAT IS WHAT

THE NEW YEAR LOOKS TO BE.  NO INCREASE IN SS BUT

WE ALREADY WERE NOTIFIED OF INCREASE IN OUR

POWER AND INSURANCE PAYMENTS.  THERE IS NOT

GOING TO BE ANYTHING LEFT OVER FOR EATING OUT.

BUT I CAN HANDLE THAT.  I DID GET PART OF THE TREE

DECORATED TODAY AND IT KILLED ME. I HAVE DONE IT

MORE SPARINGLY LIKE MY MOM LIKES IT.  I HAVE ONLY

USED THE TOP DRAWER OF ORNAMENTS AND HALF THE

TREE IS DONE.  BUT IT IS THE SMALLER HALF.  SUZ IS

COMING TOMORROW TO TAKE OUR PICTURE FOR THE

CHRISTMAS CARD.  I HOPE THAT WORKS OUT.  I NEED

TO MAKE A LIST OF WHAT I NEED TO DO YET.  WHEN I

CAN CHECK THINGS OFF I WILL FEEL BETTER.

I AM GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU AND MIKE WERE BOTH

FEELING BETTER AND THAT MIKE GOT THE GARLAND UP.

OH GOODY, GOODIES FROM THE PARTY.  THANK

GOODNESS FOR WONDERFUL FRIENDS WHO THINK OF

US WHEN WE ARE NOT THERE.  I THINK I LOVE THE

WOMAN WHO GIVES EVERYONE AN ORNAMENT EACH

YEAR.  DOES SHE ACTUALLY MAKE THEM?

MOM WENT TO THE DR. AND SHE CHECKED HER OVER

.  SHE DID NOT THINK SHE BROKE ANYTHING BUT SHE

HAD XRAYS DONE ANYWAY.  WE HAVE NOT HEARD

ANYTHING SO IT MUST BE GOOD NEWS.  SHE DID GET

HER GOAL WEIGHT CHANGED FROM 175 TO 165.  SHE IS

ALREADY HOVERING AROUND THE 170 MARK SO SHE

WILL JUST NEED TO DROP A LITTLE MORE WEIGHT.  IT

WILL NOT BE HARD FOR HER.  SHE ALSO GOT HER

ANTIDEPRESSANT INCREASED SO HOPEFULLY WE WILL

SEE SOME CHANGES SOON.  SHE IS NOW ON THE SAME

DOES I AM.  PRAYING FOR GOOD RESULTS.  I REALLY

SHOULD BE GOING. I HAVE OVER 5OO EMAILS TO SORT.

HUGS,

OOPS. I ALMOST FORGOT.

Hello

It was so cold in the house last night I thought I was freezing.  I wore a sweat shirt under the covers and I was still cold.  When I woke up and sat up ~~~ ice crystals formed on me.   Mike disputes that and says it was comfortable.  He is, once again, wrong!

Now we have a problem in the guest bathroom, one of the plastic parts is apparently broken so we have to call a plummer.   Remember when those "innards" used to be copper and last forever?

I wanted to make a few more cards ~~ thank you cards and a birthday card and get a couple of them in the mail with our Christmas cards today, but I don't think that's going to happen.  I'd also like to get some decorating done, but I just don't have the steam.

Thank you for the cute tag!

Good for you getting at least part of the tree decorated.  I hope Suz can come and take your picture today so you can get your cards done.   I'd love to see the picture when it's done.

It's not going to get above the low 40s today, but we won't have any snow until Fridsay ~ or so they say.   We're going out to lunch with Sue and John tomorrow and Shauna comes on Friday, so I really would like to get the table out of the Morning Room again, and get a few decorations up.

No, Roxanne doesn't make the ornaments she gives everyone.  I'm not sure where she gets them but they are always different and always really nice.  She may even do them from the Dollar Store, but she's a really good shopper.  They are lovely.

My email box runneth over too, and I'm so behind on so many things.  Feeling stressed ~ are you?

Have a good day!

Good morning.

The plummer is coming between 9 and 11 (I hope), and Mike is going to deal with him.  Then at 2 we are going out for "Liner" (John's name for a middle of the afternoon lunch) with John and Sue.   We don't even know where we are going!

I should be up in the front (Morning) room making cards so I can put the table away, but instead I'm still propped up in bed watching Christmas movies.  Now if I can just coax a cup of coffee out of Mike . . . .

It's currently 16 degrees, heading for 30.  I do believe that is BELOW freezing.  Brrrrrr.

Good news ~~ the plummer called and came just  before 9 and was gone by 9:24 after installing all new "works" in the tank for $216.   We haven't had any other plumbing bills till now, and if this lasts we will have no complaints.   Timing wasn't even bad.  We've had a toilet go out at Thanksgiving with a house full of company on the way before!   lol

Yes, I did finish getting the tree decorated.  But we cannot find the tree skirt,.  Mom and Chris will be going into the basement tomorrow to see if they can locate it and the lighted garland doorways, blue snowmen for the curio, etc  Hope they find them.

I lost my post so give me a big pat on the back for starting over. We are in a deep freeze.  Some sort of Arctic Blast or something.  It is currently 2 degrees out and -12 with windchill.
We are supposed to face -6 tomorrow morning with -23 windchill. I will be staying in and staying warm.  A good day for hot chocolate. First thing on my list is to find my Santa hat and beard and get us set up for pic. We are really going to be late getting our cards out and for 2 cents, I would skip it.  Not one of my siblings does cards.  But I really love them.  But I think the time has come to cut back.  I used to do a whole group from face book. And 7 went to other countries and I would only get about 3 of those back.  I loved the idea of cards from other countries but all I got was cheap Christmas cards that you can get anywhere.  So I have cut out the whole group and will just post one in the group for all to see.  We have such a huge family from my dads side and they only get together once a year. Now we are getting cards from 2nd and 3rd cousins.  Where does it end.  More and more we are losing contact with moms cousins and none of us kids really know them and sadly, I really do not care.  I cannot keep this up when mom does not cooperate or remember who some people are.  Yes, I am stressed.  Nothing is wrapped.  Nothing is baked. though that can be done the final week and in a pinch, presents can be wrapped in one night.  And whether she likes it or not, I am doing gift bags this year.  It saves time.
That is ridiculous when you have to wear a sweatshirt to bed.  Though I have worn a sweater and slippers to bed when it is really cold, lol.  Tomorrow I am definitely planning on hot choc. for breakfast.  And maybe a waffle instead of a granola bar.
I am so glad the plumber worked out well and not a big deal. I hope that your mystery restaurant is a delight and decorated for the holidays as I know you like that.  I miss the work Christmas Party, they were usually fun.  Though mostly we just sat and drank. But it was fun to get dressed up and go out...I rarely did that.  I did not have money for clothes in the early days and mom would make me things, but often my choice of material did not fit my vision and I would have to wear the outfit even though it was horrid as I did not want to hurt her.  I often felt like a jerk. Oh well, occasionally I looked good.
Ya know, you can get a lot of great stuff at the Dollar Store!
Hugs,

RE:WELCOME TO DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/15/2016 9:51 AM)

Good Morning

We're having a heatwave ~ supposed to reach 58 degrees today!  Can you even imagine ~ deep freeze to Fall in one day.  Snow and freezing temps were predicted for Friday, and now it's supposed to be in the low 50s.   Stay tuned.

The restaurant we went to yesterday was in Olde Town Arvada called "The Old Schoolhouse"   Cute theme restaurant built from the original Arvada Schoolhouse, with an excellent menu, good food and drink, great waitress and so many cute school house themed items I can't begin to tell you about them all.   Some of the glasses were Chemical Beakers, there were rulers holding menu clipboards and perhaps the cutest was the wallpaper in the bathrooms.  It looked like chalkboard with phrases written over and over in cursive.   In the girls room it said "I will not pass notes in class" over and over.   In the boy's room, it said "I will not pee on the floor!" LOL  Fun.

Sadly when we left I had problems walking and had to hang onto Mike ~ he with Parkinson's and a cane.  I can't tell you how I'm hating being like this.  It can move on anytime now!    I was worthless for a couple of hours when we got home.

Shauna comes on Friday and we don't have a lot to do to get ready for her.   I'd like to  make a few Thank You cards and one Birthday card, but if I can't get it done, I have "store bought" cards I can use and I'll just put the craft table up before Shauna comes.

Another lovely tag ~ thank you so much!

Yay ~ you got the tree decorated!  No small task!  The weather here is insane, and the forecast changes almost every day.  It was supposed to be snowy tomorrow, but now it's going to be 47, or so they say.  Then on Saturday, we are headed for a "high" of 7!   Who knows what the forecast will be tomorrow.  Stay tuned!     It's definitely a hot chocolate day in Wisconsin!

I'm so glad I got my cards out.  I'm amazed that I not only wrote them, but I MADE them.   A handfull of folks will be impressed.  Others will not.  lol

I almost sent you one cuz I made it, but I realized that we talk every day and we don't need to exchange cards, but as soon as one is sent, the recipient will feel obligated to send one in return, and we will have started a new tradition, that we really don't need.    I may post a picture of it later ~ and maybe even the one I made to "fix" the 20 I ruined.  (aarrgghh)

l really wish one could see something purrrfect for another person spur of the moment and just get it without creating a situation where the other person feels obligated to return a gift in kind ~~ and then you are locked in forever.  ha.

You give me wonderful tags all year long and I enjoy them so much.   It seems so much better to me to just do something cuz we want to and not because we have a "tradition".  Ya know?   Anyway, I will send you a virtual card, and I hope you do the same for me ~ or at least let me see the picture!  :-)

After the plumber left, we discovered a leak and had to call him back!   Fortunately he came right away and we didn't have to schedule another meeting with him.  All was done long before we went to lunch.

Stay warm!

I AM GLAD YOUR DESTINATION RESTAURANT WAS SUCH A DELIGHT, FOOD, AMBIANCE AND FRIENDS.  I AM SORRY THOUGH THAT YOU WERE HAVING A ROUGH TIME OF IT.  I HOPE TOMORROW IS BETTER FOR YOU.

OUR WHOLE CHRISTMAS CARD PLANS ARE A FIASCO.  I SWEAR I AM NOT DOING CARDS NEXT YEAR.  I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY.  I FINALLY GOT SUZ OVER HERE AND SHE IS ALL IN A HURRY.  I ASKED HER TO TAKE CARE OF MOM WHILE I DID MINE.  SHE ONLY HAD TO PUT THE WIG AND PONY TAILS ON HER.  I HAD WIG, HAT, BEARD AND CAPE.  THE MOM WOULD NOT SMILE. SHE BLAMES IT ON HER OLD BELLS PALSY BUT SHE CAN WHEN SHE WANTS TO...I LOOKED IN HER EYES AND THEY WERE ANGRY AND MADE COMMENTS ABOUT IT BEING MY IDEA NOT HERS.  I BEGGED HER TO SMILE...IT WAS A NO GO. THEN WHEN I SEE THE PICS, I CAN SEE MY MOMS HAIR.  3 OF THEM WERE UNUSABLE, SO I CHOSE THE BEST OF THE OTHER 3 AND USED IT WITH A LITTLE EDITING IN PSP.  SO THEN I GO TO WALMART TO MAKE THE CARDS AND WHAT A RUN AROUND I GOT THERE.   I WAS GOING FOR THE 28 CENT CARDS...BUT THAT IS ONLY WHEN YOU MAKE LIKE 350.  BUT I SHOULD GET THEM FOR 33 FOR 100 CARDS.  BUT WHEN I PUT MY ORDER TOGETHER IT CAME UP 25 FOR $1O.  SO I GO TO CHECK OUT AND REALIZE THAT IS 40 CENTS A CARD BUT THEY WOULD BE READY FOR PICK UP TOMORROW. SO I START AGAIN.  THIS TIME I SEE YOU CHOOSE ONE CARD BUT THEN LIST 100 AT CHECK OUT.  BUT THIS TIME I SEE IT SAYS READY FOR PICK UP ON DEC 24...WHAT THE HELL, SO I START OVER AGAIN.  MIND YOU, I HAVE TO MAKE THE CARD ALL OVER AGAIN EACH TIME I CHANGE.  SO THIS TIME I HAD TO CHOOSE 1 HR PROCESSING IN ORDER TO GET MY CARDS RIGHT AWAY.  SO I ENDED UP PAYING THE 40 CENTS A CARD.  THEY WERE READY IN LITTLE MORE THAN AN HOURS AND SUZ WENT TO GET THEM...THEN GUESS WHAT...THEY WERE OUT OF THE ENVELOPES FOR THOSE CARDS.  THEY ARE ON REORDER AND SHOULD BE IN IN 2-4 DAYS.....SCREAM.  I WAS SO ANGRY I WANTED TO CRY BUT MY  ANTIDEPRESSANT WORKS TOO WELL TO LET ME.  SUZ LOOKED AND THE STORE DID NOT SELL ANY OF THE CORRECT SIZE.  I HAVE A BOX LOAD OF THE BUSINESS ENVELOPE SIZE SO I SAID I WALL JUST HAVE TO USE THEM. I DECIDED I WOULD WRITE AS LONG AS IT TOOK TO GET THEM DONE AND INTO THE MAIL TOMORROW.  I WENT AND DUG THE ENVELOPES I HAD IN THE BACK OUT AND WHEN I CAME BACK MOM SAID SUZ WILL BRING THE CARDS WHEN SHE COMES IN THE MORNING.  SHE IS TAKING ME FOR MY INR. DAMNATION!  MOM SAID YOU CAN WRITE THE ENVELOPES TONIGHT AND PUT THE CARDS IN TOMORROW.  I SAID F IT, I AM DOING NOTHING TONIGHT.  I HATE MY LIFE. I WISH I COULD CRAWL IN BED AND STAY THERE A WEEK OR TWO.
SEE YOU WHEN I CRAWL OUT.

Hi my friend.    The "Late" Mrs Butcher has arrived, but only briefly.

Shauna was here this morning AND Mike installed a new Modem for our Internet Service.  He bought it rather than continuing to rent from Comcast.
Anyway, between Shauna and Mike, I was not able to really get online and
do anything other than look at email or Facebook.    Now Shauna just left and Mike wants to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant before it starts to snow.

Yesterday it was in the mid 50s, now it's getting cold and expected to snow overnight, and be in the single digits.  Never boring.

In any case, I haven't been able to get online, and now I can't stay online, so I'll have to talk to you tomorrow.

I hope you are having a nice day.   See ya tomorrow.

Dorothy

RE:WELCOME TO DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/17/2016 10:02 AM)

Good Morning.

You are right, I didn't have time to read your post before I posted my quick temporary post.   I know you often do the same thing, so I will assume I am forgiven.   Getting your cards ready sounded terrible, and I'm sorry.

I'm also sorry your mom didn't say that she didn't want to do that picture, if she didn't.  She's an adult.  She can speak up rather than accept your idea and then pout.

Good luck with her checkbook.  I've kept our checkbooks up, but I haven't done the infamous budget book in three months!   I think I'm just going to redo the entire budget and start from scratch next year.

It's officially 2 degrees below zero here right now, and with the wind chill, feels like -14!   Someone on the Facebook Arvada Neighbors group posted a picture of a beautiful Siamese cat that got out yesterday, and our neighbor down the street also had her cat get out.   I can't stand to think of them outside in this cold.  I hope and pray they found a warm garage or something to hide out in.

It was blizzarding by 9PM last night.  I haven't seen any official totals, and maybe I won't.  We often don't, but people on that same Arvada Neighbor's site posted using yard sticks to measure snow at their homes and reports are between 8 and 13 inches!   Ho! Ho! Ho!   Remember, it was 56 the day before yesterday!

I've been tired before, but last night was right up there with the most of the most "tireds".   Mike bought a new modem and installed it yesterday morning while Shauna was here.  Of course that meant that I couldn't be online while he was doing it, though it really didn't take him too long.  When he was finished we still had to reset all the different devices that use the WiFi, and by that time Shauna was deeply into cleaning.   By the time she left, I was whumped ~ but then Mike wanted to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner.   We brought home a ton of food, so we won't have to worry about what to eat for a while. ;-)

I slept in front of the TV through at least two movies and then went to bed ~ and slept through another.   Ho! Ho! Ho!  It's not going to get out of the low single digits all day!

Our new garland came yesterday but by the time we could have put it up we were too tired, and now it's too cold and the porch is covered with snow.  I hope we can get it up before Christmas!

One of our neighbors we don't see as often sent a text saying how pretty she thought our tree is.   While the rest of the decorations seem skimpy to me, I really do think they did a beautiful job on the tree.

Still no word on Laine's gift card ~ how infuriating.  This is definitely the down side of not shopping in Brick and Mortar stores!   I told her what was happening and how bad I felt, and she said "No worries.  It will just give me another day to open gifts".   Bless her heart, I know going "home" to what was her home for all those years and now is the home of her mom and her mom's new husband doesn't really seem like Christmas to her.  I wanted so much to make things a bit better, though a gift card is not like opening 'real' gifts, so it wouldn't have helped a lot even if it had arrived on time.   We decided to send her some things from Woferman's as a little surprise extra and they SHOULD get there early next week.

Everyone else's gifts have been delivered.  Robert texted me with a video of Lucy opening hers, and it was so sweet.   Mike said "It's too soon!", but she lives with her mom and her mom's boyfriend, so this was when Robert had her.

And so goes the week before Christmas.   I hope you have a much better day, and the checkbook goes like clockwork.    Hey ~ we can hope, can't we?

I HAVE LOST MY POST AND IT IS REALLY NOT WORTH REPOSTING

IT WAS BORING.  WE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME SNOW AS YOU.

CARDS ARE COMPLETE BUT NOT MAILED DUE TO THE WEATHER.

TOMORROW I WRAP.  AM HOPING TO GET THAT ALL DONE IN ONE DAY.

THEN BAKING AND CANDY MAKING AND THEN CHRIS CLEANS ON FRI.

THEN RELAX AND ENJOY THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. YEP, SOUNDS SO

EASY. WE WILL SEE.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE NEVER POSTED WITHOUT READING YOUR

POST FIRST.  IF I DID NOT COMMENT ON SOMETHING I WAS IN A HURRY,

OR HAD TOO MUCH ON MY MIND AND FORGOT.  PLEASE FORGIVE ME.

HUGS, LOU ANN

Good Morning.

It's just flat out COLD here!   Yesterday we reached 5 below zero with a minus 15 wind chill, and our "high" for the day was 6 above!   It was way below zero most of last night and currently 2 below zero, but we may get as "high" as 28 degrees this afternoon.   I do believe that is still well below freezing!   Thank goodness we are inside with heat!   I hate even thinking about homeless people or animals out in that bitter cold.

On those few occasions when I didn't have time to post but wanted you to know I was still alive, I haven't always read your post first, but I have ALWAYS read it when I came back and posted!  That's what I did this time as well.

When we were children, we waited for Christmas and thought it would NEVER get here.  Now, the time flies by and it's Christmas way before we are ready for it!   Because we really aren't doing a lot this year, and we are as decorated as we plan to be and I'm not baking, for the first time in my memory, I have very little to do for this coming week.  I can just enjoy the week before Christmas ~ I'm not sure how to act!   Of course there are tons of things not related to Christmas that I could and should be doing, but I'm not even going to think about them.  I'm just going to enjoy Christmas!   I didn't even know that was possible.  LOL

I do need to get Carolyn's 60th birthday card in the mail (I didn't make her a special one, but still have a pretty store-bought one), and I want to get Roxie's Thank You card that I made for her for giving us the ornament, and of course Laine's card.   I may just mail it without her gift certificate and mail the gift card if and when it finally gets here.   Grrr.
We didn't even go for the mail yesterday.  Though they did shovel, the drive is still slick and I fear broken bones.   Hopefully we'll be able to get that mail in a bit.   If the drive cleared I could even mail my cards by putting them in the mailbox and putting the flag up tomorrow.   We may have to back the car up the drive and around in front of the mail box to do those things ~~ lol.   I'm sure we are a real "sight" when we do.  Ha!

Stay warm!
