RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/24/2016 12:11 PM)

Hello!

It's cooling off here, but still in the mid 60s.   We're going to The Keg for dinner tonight, and tomorrow afternoon we have some folks coming to install a tinted film to the big central window in the Great Room ~ the one you can either cover with a permanent 'shade' or leave it uncovered.  We've left it uncovered so we can see the moon and clouds when the sun isn't in our faces through it, but when the sun IS in our faces, it's blinding ~ no exaggeration.   I really hope having this one high central window dark and the rest clear when the shades are up will look ok.

I'm so glad to hear that Bruce is ok.  What a miserable experience that must have been!

I really hope you have a fun day tomorrow and that you get to see some things that YOU want to see.   Is it hard to watch TV with all the kids there, or do you wait until they leave to try to watch?

Mike has wanted to get rid of the big trash can we had at the old house for lawn pick up since we now don't do the lawn and we have the big 64 gal containers provided by Waste Management for trash and recycle pick up.  He checked with W. M. and learned that if we turned the can upside down and put a label on it, they would pick it up, but I hated to just have it end up in the dump when it was still usable.  That's my biggest issue about getting rid of things ~ "Somebody, some where could use this, I'm sure".  LOL   Anyway, in this case, somebody could!

I'm going to try to find someone to put up brackets on the opposite wall in the garage so we can hang the 12 foot ladder that is living on the floor on the driver's side of the Lincoln over there on the Passenger side of the Chrysler, and that along with getting rid of the trash can will make things much easier for Mike.

I really could be quite happy with Cruz as President, but I know he doesn't have a chance.  The others?  (help smiley67)  I've only not voted once, but several times I've had to vote "Against", rather than "For".  How I hate this.    Our poor country. I don't even begin to believe all the craziness that is going on now.

I understand that some .3 of one percent of the population are Transgender, and obviously some of those will have undergone the sex change, so it would seem to me that most of the men we see coming into Ladies Rooms or Changing Rooms or Shower Facilities will NOT really be men who think they are women.  Grrrr.   Yesterday if a man came into a Woman's facilities and exposed himself, he would have been arrested.

I honestly don't know what's going on with this obliteration of the sexes.  I remember reading some time ago that some colleges were getting rid of the terms "he" and "she' and they had some other made up words to indicate what was formerly "He or She".  I just don't get it.  Most of that crap seems to come out of the colleges, but I can't even imagine what their objective is.  I see they are wanting to discuss and teach Transgender subjects to kids in kindergarten and first grade.  "Little person, it doesn't matter how you were born, think about it and choose at age 5 what sex you are."  Seriously? Heaven help us! Insane!

Again, I hope you have a great time tomorrow.  Don't stay up half the night posting after you get home, just come when you can.  I'll be here.  ;-)

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/25/2016 6:33 AM)

It's supposed to be in the mid 70's today and then cool off and rain for much of the rest of the week.

We had a lovely meal at The Keg, sharing a shrimp cocktail and a filet mignon.  I've been trying to do low carb as much as possible, and they had a new side dish of braised mushrooms I added to our entree.  I don't know what they braised them in, but they were absolute Heaven!   We split them and still had some to take home along with part of the 10 oz steak that we also split, so Mike has dinner for tonight ~~ unless he can't wait and has lunch.

I have been awake since 4AM and finally got up a little after 5.  We have the 'night time thermostat' on and I don't want to wake Mike up by turning some heat on, but brrrrrrrrr, it's FREEZING in the house!   Mike should be up soon.  He had a bad dream in the night, another 'gift' from the Parkinson's meds.

I have a new update to share from Barb.  Aimoo is VERY slow today, but I'll get it done as soon as i can.

I hope you had a wonderful day ~ and that today is pretty good too!

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/25/2016 11:57 PM)

I DID, BUT IT WAS OVERWHELMING.  A LOT OF PEOPLE.  LOUANN &BRUCE, REID, TRICIA WITH FINN AND SAILER, RISSA, MATT WITH SAMUEL, KIRSTIE WITH LIAM (NICK WAS SICK), LOUANN'S MOM NANCY, BRUCE'S BROTHER KIRK AND WIFE BARB AND NAN AND I. SO 10 ADULTS AND FOUR CHILDREN.  I SWEAR IT FELT LIKE 1OX AS MANY THERE.
IT WAS JUST L&B AND NAN & I TO START.  AS WE CAME OUT AT 2PM.  WE WATCHED THE LAST EPISODE OF DOWNTON ABBEY.  BRUCE HAD NOT SEEN ALL OF IT SO HE WATCHED TO.  I THINK THEY TIED THINGS UP VERY NICELY FOR THE END.  I WAS HAPPY TO HAVE BERTIE AND EDITH BACK TOGETHER AND I COULD HAVE CHEERED WHEN SHE TOLD HER FUTURE MIL THE TRUTH.  IT WAS A LITTLE SAD FOR CARSON TO HAVE TO RETIRE, BUT I WAS HAPPY THAT THEY GAVE THE JOB TO BARROW AS HAD COME TO LIKE HIM.  REALLY SO MUCH WENT ON IN THE 2 HOURS.  BUT ALL HAPPY EVER AFTER.
POOR RISSA HAS HORRIBLE ACNE ALL OVER HER CHEEKS, CHIN AND LITTLE ON FOREHEAD.  IT IS BEING CAUSED BY THE PREGNANCY.  SHE IS DUE SEPT. 17 AND LOOKS QUITE LARGE ALREADY.  THOUGH SHE IS A BIG GIRL AND SHE NEVER LOST ALL HER BABY FAT.  WHEN REID AND FAMILY ARRIVED I THOUGHT TRICIA LOOKED PREGNANT.  SURE ENOUGH, REID TOLD ME THEY WERE EXPECTING A BABY IN NOVEMBER.  HOT DAMN, 2 MORE BABIES BEFORE CHRISTMAS.  I THINK KIRSTIE IS TRYING....BUT NOT SURE.  JUST SOMETHING IN WHAT REID AND RISSA SAID.  AS IF IT WERE A COMPETITION, LOL.  THEY, REID AND TRICIA HAD A MISCARRIAGE BEFORE THEY GOT PREGNANT THIS TIME.  SO SAD.  I WONDER WHAT NAMES THEY WILL BE COMING UP WITH THIS TIME?  LOL
THE FOOD.  I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE FOOD.  BRUCE DECIDED HE WANTED TO COOK FOR EVERYONE FOR HIS BIRTHDAY AND HE MAKES EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH.  THEY MADE SHRIMP  FETTUCCINE ALFREDO,  MUSHROOM ANGEL HAIR ALFREDO AND MAC AND CHEESE.
HE MADE ALL THE PASTA.  HE MADE FETTUCCINE NOODLES FOR THE SHRIMP, HE MADE ANGEL HAIR PASTA FOR THE MUSHROOM AND HE MADE CORKSCREW MACARONI FOR THE MAC & CHEESE.   THEY MADE ALL THEIR OWN SAUCES FROM SCRATCH.  THE MAC & CHEESE WAS FOR THE KIDS, BUT WE ALL TRIED IT TOO AND IT WAS WONDERFUL.  I TRIED THEM ALL.  THERE WAS SALAD WITH HOME MADE BLEU CHEESE DRESSING.  THERE WAS DELICIOUS BREAD.  A FRUIT SALAD WITH A CRUSHED PRETZEL TOPPING THAT WAS REALLY WONDERFUL.  FOR DESSERT THERE WAS NO CAKE!!  INSTEAD THERE WAS SPECIAL DARK CHOCOLATE BROWNIES WITH DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING ON THEM.  THEY WERE GOOEY AND YUMMY BEYOND COMPARE.  THEN THERE WERE 4 PIES, KIRSTIE MADE 2, BRUCE MADE 2.  THEY BOTH MADE LEMON  MERINGUES AND KIRSTIE MADE A CHERRY AND BRUCE A MIXED BERRY.  I HAD A LITTLE SLICE OF LEMON AND CHERRY.  I HAD ENOUGH CARBS FOR THE WHOLE WEEK AT THAT MEAL.   THE NOISE WAS INCREDIBLE AND OF COURSE I COULD HEAR NOTHING THAT WAS BEING SAID.  THE ONLY CHILD THAT WOULD COME BY ME WAS LIAM AND THAT WAS BARELY.  THEY ALL JUST WANT TO PLAY WITH EACH OTHER.  I FINALLY GOT TO GIVE THEM ALL THE EGGS I GOT THEM FOR EASTER.  BUT THEN I WAS SICK AND COULD NOT GET TOGETHER.  THE EGGS HAD THEIR NAMES ON THEM AND EACH HELD A LITTLE STUFFED ANIMAL THAT ALSO HAD THEIR NAME ON THEM.  FIN GOT A GREEN EGG WITH A WHITE BUNNY, SAILER GOT A PINK EGG WITH A PINK LAMB, LIAM GOT A PURPLE EGG WITH A GREEN FROG AND SAMUEL GOT A BLUE EGG WITH A YELLOW DUCK.  THEY ALL LOVED THEM.  SAILER WAS RUNNING ALL OVER WITH THE EGG IN ONE ARM AND THE LAMB IN THE OTHER.  LATER I SAW HER RUNNING AROUND WITH 2 EGGS.  WE HAD HOPED THAT THE KIDS WITH THEIR KIDS WOULD LEAVE EARLY AND WE COULD WATCH AT LEAST 1 EPISODE OF SELFRIDGE BUT RISSA, MATT AND SAM WERE STILL THERE WHEN NAN AND I LEFT.  SHE HAD BEEN HAVING A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH HER KNEE AND IT WAS KILLING HER...BUT I WAS MORE THAN  WILLING TO GO AS MY HIP WAS KILLING ME.  IT STILL IS TODAY.   WHEN I GOT HOME I WAS EXHAUSTED AND WENT TO SLEEP EARLY.
I WENT TO DR. HATAHET TODAY AND ALL IS WELL.  HE CHANGED ONE OF MY INHALERS TO TRY AND LOWER MY PULSE RATE.  I WAS MEDICARE COMPLIANT WITH MY C-PAP AND EXPERIENCING WAY LESS EPISODES OF APNEA.  I COME BASK IN OCTOBER AND HAVE TO HAVE A PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST BEFORE I SEE HIM.  THEN WE WILL NOT SEE ME TILL  APRIL AS HE DOES NOT WANT ME OUT IN THE COLD.  THE FLU IS STILL RUNNING RAMPANT AND RIGHT NOW THEY ARE SEEING A LOT OS SWINE FLU.  WHAT THE HELL?  HE SAID THE FLU SEASON WAS VERY LATER THIS YEAR AND THEY ARE SEEING CASES OF EVERY KIND OF FLU THERE IS.  ALL THE PAST FLUES AND OTHER.   HIS NURSE TOLD ME IT HAS BEEN A HORRIFYINGLY BUSY TIME FOR HIM AND HE HOPES IT ENDS SOON.  HE SAID I AM LUCKY TO HAVE AVOIDED IT.
WELL I THINK THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.  SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A GREAT MEAL AT THE KEG.  I WILL CHAT WITH YOU TOMORROW.
XOXOX

HAVING A LOT OF TROUBLE TRYING TO POST THIS.  FIRST I LOST THE BORDER.  THEN

THE WHOLE THING DISAPPEARED.  HOPEFULLY 3RD TIMES THE CHARM!

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/26/2016 8:26 AM)

Hello!

Yesterday after my bad night's sleep I ended up sleeping in my chair half the morning and when I woke I was absolutely groggy.  Finally got a load of laundry washed, folded and put away and then in the afternoon the guys came and put the 3M Solar film over that big high window in the great room.

I fiddled around too long this morning and now I have to get ready to go with Mike to his Dentist's appointment and then out to breakfast, so I'm going to come back and visit later.

The new solar window covering.

This is why we needed it.  Most of the time it's just a nice window with a view of the great outdoors, but in the mornings when the sun rises over that east facing bank of windows, it's wicked.   All the windows are covered except the big one in the center on top, which can only be permanently covered forever blocking the view, or permanently left uncovered.   This is the one that drives us to the "Morning Room".   It can be literally blinding.

The shades are battery operated with a remote control, but the two on top have lost their battery juice, and we have too much trouble on a very tall ladder to change the batteries out.   We bought some new batteries that are supposed to be very long lasting ~ years instead of months, and we had the guys that installed the solar film put them in for us.  Fingers crossed that they really will last for several years.  They have been down for ages.  My Cave Man doesn't mind at all, but I hate it!

The guys installing the film ~~

The first picture below, taken from a different angle looked like I was afraid the darkest film would look, but from other angles, it's only slightly darker than the other windows.  YAY!   It really looks good and we can still see the clouds and moon through it!

The test will be later in the morning when we see if it really does block the blinding rays of the sun.

You are right, from most angles you can barely tell the difference in that window with the film.  I hope it helps. I can see in the pics how blinding it can be.  My eye cannot handle bright light at all.  We have lace window curtains, but they let too much light in for me, so we have sheers behind them.  It is
great for me, but mom would rather not have them.  She cannot see outside clearly with the curtains as they are now.
I hope that Mikes dental appt went well.  Where did you go for breakfast?
Chris was supposed to clean our place on Fri. but she had some excuse why she did not.  Though she did throw a load of our laundry in.  It was there till mom asked about it on Sun.  She offered to clean on Sat but mom said no, that is your time with Scott.  It can wait till Mon.  So ok, then, wait, no, she has an appt Mon with her doctor in Madison, she will do it Tues.  At noon today she popped in and said she would come at 1:30pm.  After she left I said she knows Scott gets off at 2:30 so she would be rushing through it.  Which irritated me.  She popped in at 1:30 and was complaining about her stomach and more so mom told her to wait and to go rest.  She said, well I do not want to take a chance of making either of you ill.  I will do it tomorrow.  Mom said we will see how you feel.  Ridiculous!!
Well time to go to sleep, I am trying to get to bed earlier.
XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/27/2016 11:01 AM)

Good Morning!

Sorry I didn't get back yesterday.   We did go out to breakfast after Mike's dental appointment, and then when we got home I took care of some overdue calls to see about getting some things done.  Of course that involved me calling, someone checking and calling me back, and then perhaps doing it again.

We have an electric outlet in the most inconvenient position in the floor of the great room, and I want to see if it can be moved a few feet back toward the wood floor of kitchen.   Answer, "probably.  Matt will call back in a day or so and stop by to look at it".  I also asked if he would take care of one of my "Honey Do" list items ~ putting the 10' ladder up on the opposite side of the garage wall.  Answer ~ yes.     Then I called LaZboy to see about adding some additional cushioning for the chairs we just bought.  Answer ~ Maybe, they will call and make an appointment to come and see and maybe do.   The day just got away from me.

Today was the first day we really were in a position to see the 'Sun in your face' in the great room and to see whether the new film took care of the problem.   Answer:  Somewhat.  It's still in your face from some angles, but definitely somewhat less.  This is the darkest film, so the best we can do.  We had even darker film (from another firm) on the high South facing windows in the old house, and it didn't do any good and just looked ugly.  We ultimately put up Plantation Shudders there to block the sun.    I do think this is better, but not a real cure-all.  I do love having the two high side window shades able to go up, and my fingers are so crossed that the batteries last ~~~ and last and last.  ;-)

This is what it looked like this morning.   Definitely not blocked, but somewhat better ~ I think.

I'm glad you got to go for Bruce's Birthday celebration and OMG, the food!  I can't imagine how Bruce can just get home from the hospital and do all of that ~ but how wonderful that he did!  Everything sounded absolutely fabulous!

I'm glad you got to watch the end of Downton ~ and sorry you didn't get to see much more.  I couldn't imagine how Downton could possibly be brought to an end in just one episode with so many issues 'in the air', but they did it and they did it so well!   I left Downton feeling satisfied.  ;-)

The gifts you had for the kids sounded adorable.  I know they must have loved them.    I just ordered a couple of "Put me in the story" books for Lucy's 3rd birthday and Jack's 4th.  Have you seen those?   You send a picture and the name of the child, and they incorporate both into the story.  I think they are darling.  Will the kids?   Who knows.  Lol.   Lucy's birthday is on May 7th so we'll mail that one soon, and Jack's isn't until June.  I'll get one for Vince, too, when his birthday comes around in December.

Christina's baby shower is coming up on May 7th, too, and I had several things sent from Babies-R-Us sent, but they don't gift wrap.  I believe that beautifully wrapping is part of the gift, but I had to just send them "nekked".  In the past I've had them sent to Mary Ann and had her wrap for me, but she's so busy I just didn't want to.  Anyway, they were all things from her Registry so I know she will like them.     Then yesterday I had Amazon send a couple of "Big Brother" type books to Vince.  I did get them wrapped so Aaron and Christina can give them to him now or hold them back to closer to the shower so he can open something too.

Oh, and Aaron told me they have picked out a name ~ Lillian Frances, Lily.  Christina is having a difficult pregnancy, but it's only a couple of months now.

It's cooling off here now.  Probably not above 60 today and then cooler into colder with snow predicted through the weekend!  Of course you know about our weather predictions, so we'll see, but it really is crazy.

Why am I not surprised at how Chris is cleaning?  Or rather not cleaning?  Knowing your mom, she will probably pay her in advance whether she cleans or not.    She's too goodhearted, and she's being taken advantage of, and you are being inconvenienced.  Nothing more annoying than waiting for someone to do something.   Whether you really could or not, one doesn't want to start anything ahead of time, so you just end up wasting your time and getting nervous   Or, at least I do.   Ah, well.

Thank you for my beautiful tags!   I love them!

Hope you did get to bed early ~ for a change.  ;-)

Have a Happy Day

Dorothy

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/27/2016 10:03 PM)

I have some pictures that Kijo took of the kids eggs before she sent them. First is a pic of all 4 closed, then 4 pics of each one open.

I was going to put some kid treats in them but never did.  Samuel's birthday is up next and I will need to get a gift for him and for Liam, since I was asked to his too.  I am going to have to quit with 2 more babies on the way.  I cannot afford it.  I have a ton of yarn in my room so I would make them all fun hats for Christmas.  Maybe a simple book for birthdays. That I could do I think.

I wish your film would have blocked out more light, but perhaps it cuts the UV rays, etc, that are dangerous.  Still wish you would not be blinded by the light.  Ooh, that makes me want to sing... Nope, not gonna.

Well, no Chris today either.  Finally about 4pm mom went to her door with the paper.  We give them ours when we care done reading them.  She asked her why she did not come and clean and she said she was still sick and did not want to get us ill.  BS!  She felt well enough to have Debbie from upstairs down and were drinking.  She is in no hurry because she has already been paid.  I think it has been that way every time.  She borrows and mom says, take it toward the next cleaning.  At least she has not been beyond the next cleaning yet, lol.

If they move your socket, won't they have to patch the floor?  Will you like that?

I love the name Lily.  I always have.  Are Lillian and Frances family names?  We all had a teacher who's first name was Lillian and she was a favorite.  I have an Aunt Frances, my mom's sister.  She is the oldest, then Velma and mom (Phyllis) and then baby Richard.  Also my grandfather (maternal) was names Francis and his wife Hazel.  All old names.  But old names are making a big comeback these days.

Saying good night and I will chat with you tomorrow.

XOXOXO

Good Morning.   I'm young and beautiful again ~~~ I got my hair color in this morning.  Ha!  Ok, maybe not young and beautiful, but at least a lot less 'faded' looking.  ;-)

I can't say the same for the view outside my window.  Denver was completely missing when I sat down in the Great room, but it's slowly reappearing, like Brigadoon.   Cold and rain predicted.  Mike is making Salisbury steaks for dinner.  :-D

Ooooh, I LOVE the eggs!  Where did you say you got them?  Adorable!

I wish I were surprised that Chris didn't show up.  Your mom is so good hearted ~ you are too ~ but you are (she is) really going to stop paying her in advance, or loaning her money.   She also needs to stop letting her do a half arsed job.  I'll say no more  (but you can tell I want to.  Ha!)

Yes, if they can move the electric floor outlet they will have to patch the place where it was.  I don't think that will be a problem.  We have lots of carpet left, and I was amazed when I watched them put the carpet in ~ they have a little hand held machine that they run over the seams and when they are done you can't even tell.  I don't know if Matt can do that ~ but he'd better.  Ha!   Mike is sure it can be moved.  I am less so, but hopeful.  Right now, it peeks out from under my chair, and makes it impossible for me to move my chair back more.   We'll have to see.

I don't think either Lillian or Frances are family names ~ at least they aren't on 'our'side.  Vincent and Jack aren't either, though Lucy was my mother's name, actually Lucille.   Old fashioned names are really "in", aren't they?

Have a Happy Day!

No Chris again today, but at least she popped in.  Around noon, she asked if we wanted her to clean and mom said if
you feel up to it.  She said she still feel a little weak, how about she does it tomorrow.  Mom said that would be fine.
We will see.

I did not realize there was carpeting where the socket is. I was thinking you would have to make a patched wood floor look good.  The eggs were by my friend on line, Kijo.  She has an facebook shop that she sells her things at.  The eggs were 2 for $20, but I got an early bird discount.  Check out the crayon wall initials.  Mom and I each have one and we love them.  Here is her page:

https://www.facebook.com/livecreatelively/

Mom's big day is almost here.  Louann is coming over tomorrow night to do her hair and then my sisters will just have to touch it up in the morning.  We have to get a new "after" picture for her to take as it will be put into the TOPS magazine.  Her before and after and her Queen shot.  I am so excited for her and she is so nervous.  Please say a prayer for her that all goes well, no trips, stutters or wardrobe malfunctions.

Well, gotta go.  Chat with you tomorrow.
XOXOXO

Hello  I should be using a Winter border this morning because it's SNOWING.  I'm still trying to keep the sunny thoughts, though, so I will go with fairies. ;-)

Watching Indiana Gov Mike Pence endorsing Ted Cruz.  He said good things about Trump, but endorsed Cruz for the same reasons I like him.  Apparently he arrived there by the same route I took ~ he was a Democrat who changed parties and is a Constitutional Conservative.  Impressive, soft spoken and very likable guy.  I was completely unfamiliar with him before.

Christina's shower is next weekend and I sent things from her registry ~ a crib quilt and matching sheets and the Baby Book, and a little rose headband.   I also sent Vince two "Big Brother" books from Amazon so he would have something to open, too.  Did I already tell you this?  I'm getting forgetful in my old age.

Lucy's birthday is next Saturday.  She will be three, and I found the cutest book for her.  It inserts her name and her picture in several places.   I liked it so much that I ordered a different one for Jack's 4th birthday, coming up in June.

Mike bought a postal scale and some software to generate postage paid address labels.   Then he submitted the information to the Post Office and paid the postage online and we can just leave the package on the porch and our Mail Gal will pick it up tomorrow.  How cool is that?!

I did check out your friend's site.  I love the eggs.

Well, surprise, surprise ~ no Chris.  I wonder if she will  come today, and if she will clean everything or just skim over the surface.   I do blame your mom too, though.  It sounded like Chris had the ability and was willing to do a good job, but if your mom tells here she doesn't need to, why should she?   I feel for YOU!

So what is the agenda for your Mom's big event?   When will they do what?  Will you be able to go to any of it?   I know you will be able to see her, and to see pictures and hear all about it.    I'll say a little prayer that everything goes perfectly for her and that she has a wonderful time!

Love and Hugs

Geeze,  Aimoo is so dang slow.  Seems to get worse every day.  Things time out, or error messages and page cannot be found.  I wish they could fix it. Takes so long to load anything, I just want to quit as I am not patient when things
load so slowly.
Louann came over and did my moms hair tonight and it looks so pretty.  We will just need to pick/lift some areas that might flatten while sleeping.  We are getting up at 5am as
my sisters are coming over and leaving by 6am.  Mom needs help with the dress and stockings, etc.  I can help her with that.  Joanne will handle the makeup.  Mom has never been a make up person, just red lipstick when she was young and more muted tones now.  Mom can pull of red, it is a great color for her.  Suz got her some silver sequiny material and
she covered her came with it.  Had I ever told you that she
makes material cane covers for the seasons and holidays.  They always look great and the silver is very pretty, shiny and reflects color.  She also has the silver slippers, purse,  cubic zirconia earrings that really shine too.  She will be gorgeous and I will get pictures to show you.  The event is
only from 8 to 12.  Then Joanne and Diane will take mom out to eat before returning home.  So I do not expect them home until around 2pm.  I hope it is all really special for her.
Oh Lord, I am supposed to be up in 1 hr & 15min.  I am sitting here sleeping,  Nighty, night!

Good Morning.  We have snow sticking to everything now, but not more than an inch or so.  It's supposed to snow both today and tomorrow, and then warm up.

You'd never mentioned that Suz makes material cane covers for holidays and special occasions.  I've never seen or heard of anyone doing that before ~~ how clever!   Your mom is going to be beautiful!

I really wish you could go with them, but I more than understand why you cannot.   I can't wait to see the pictures and hear all about it!!

Try to catch some zzzz's while they are gone, you little Night Owl!
