RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/29/2015 6:01 PM)

I'm back.........
Today has been slow going.  I am extremely tired.  I could just drop right off, even though I had a good nights sleep.  It is hard to get any motivation with being so tired.  OMG, my email....a couple 1000 of them.  I have deleted a lot and still have a ton to go through.  I was MOTW in my Diamond Club when I went sick so trying to find any tags made for me.  I think it is a lost cause.
Fingers crossed and a little prayers said that Shanna works out.  Since she is starting her own business I think she will want to promote her name in the community so she will be doing a good job.  And she will appreciate the paychecks without a company taking half.  I would rather deal with 1 person that with a company that makes money off the work of others.

I just realized the date so can tell you in all honesty that Mays pages will be late.  I will start working on them tomorrow but a lot will depend on how I feel and what I can get done without sleeping, lol.

Louann called me this morning and was a bit miffed with me because I had not told her I rescheduled todays appt.  I said I though I told you on Sat that I would be doing that.  She said I said I would wait and see how I felt.  Oops!  I said I also sent you an email and she said I only read them in the evening and I said I sent it in the evening.  Then I apologized over and over again.  So all is well again and I have to be a lot more diligent in my notifications.  I am a jerk and not the only person on this Earth.

Nothing else new.  Josh stopped in and boy, I sure do not get him.  He asked a good friend of his to go to Prom with him and she said yes.  Then, I guess she had a boyfriend who got all mad and dumped her, so she backed out.  Josh does not get it.  He is so dense sometimes.  He has asked a new girl and she said yes, so I hope they have a good time.  I never went to mine, but that really does not bother me.  I never liked dances all that much.
Have a great day.
Hugs,

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT

Hello!

I went for my blood test this morning. The Lab is about a 10 mile round trip drive and when I walked in, no one else was there.  It wasn't long before there were many others, but i was the first.  Two sticks, which wasn't bad for me.  If she'd used my butterfly veins in my left arm right away, there would have only been one stick.  In any case, it's done and I have but to wait for the results.  There is no reason to think that I won't, get good results, but we all know about nasty surprises, don't we?  I was a bit concerned about the UA, which was sort of orange.  That happened the last time, too, and then as soon as I went at home it was crystal clear.  Is orange the color of fear?  Lol.  Feel free to pray for good results for the blood test and UA.   We're going out to a late lunch later, I think Mike wants to go to BJ's brew pub.

Shauna really did impress us both.  When she quit the firm she was working for, she took their last payment and got herself bonded and insured, and showed us the papers. She also has a notebook with each client's information including any special instructions (don't clean this, use this product on that, etc.) and what she did or what needs to be done in each room.  If she thoroughly cleans the Master Bedroom and Great Room but runs out of time to complete the Morning Room or Library, she will have a note to herself saying she needs to do the baseboards or whatever in those rooms on her next visit.  I love that!   She will bring all of her own equipment, which some of the others that were recommended do not. All of our other cleaning ladies did.   I told her if she'd like to use the Shark we bought for Madeline she was welcome to, and we will furnish the granite cleaner and sealer we use.  She even washes the bathroom floors on her hands and knees like Kim used to.  I'm really hopefull ~~ and if she doesn't show up or can't clean, I'm gonna go ballistic!  lol

I can really relate to being tired even after a good night's sleep.  Mike and I are both the same lately, and we haven't been sick!  I have the energy of a dead slug.

Oooh, I don't envy you digging through the emails.  Mine would be bad enough and they don't come close to as many as you have!  I hope you cn find all the tags that were made for you.  Maybe let them know you were sick and ask them to help you find everything.

Please PLEASE don't worry about the May pages.  The ones you have up are lovely and the new ones will be worth waiting for.  Don't stress yourself!

Sorry you and Louann got your signals mixed.  I know her frustration from having dealt with Madeline BUT she knows you were sick and she could have called you to confirm too.  Don't beat yourself up.

I hope our sweet Josh has a great time at the prom.  He's such a good kid.

Please take it easy and let your body heal.

Love you.

I give up. I just cannot function. So extremely tired.  Supposed to go for INR tomorrow but think I will pass on that too. Will go when I feel like it. Though now I will have to call and cancel my appt.  Plllllt!!
I am in no mood. I had to open your letter in edit in order to read it. Stupid line sizing. I do not know why we have so much trouble since we do not even have any control over the kerning etc.
Shanna or Shauna sounds wonderful so I hope she turns out that way. And I hope she loves the cats.
I should have been working on the pages today but I forgot and read a book. Silly me. I gotta find a notebook in order to work on the new pages. Hmmm, wonder where they might be. Damned if I know, lol.
Hope you enjoy your meal out. Mom made pork tenderloin, potato crowns and cheesy cauliflower for supper. I was delish. She also made one of those angel food, pineapple cakes with whipped cream for topping. Also yummy.
Time for me to fly......
Hugs,

"Traaa-LA!  It's MAY!  The lusty month of May

That darling month when everyone throws self control away!"

I can't think of May without having the songs of the musical Camelot play in my head ~

I hate the way the line sizing changes.  I looked back at my earlier post and while the line sizing looks fine to me, the second half of the post looks like it's typed in about an 8 font.  I promise it didn't look that way when I was typing.  I hate that what we each see is often different.  Grrr

I hear you about being tired.  Mike and I have both been practically catatonic!

Don't worry about the pages, PLEASE.  You'll do them when you feel like it and they will be wonderful.

I told you last month (a.k.a. yesterday ) about my morning at the lab.  Get your cup of coffee and get comfy and I'll tell you about our afternoon, courtesy of Comcast.

A month or so ago (I don't remember) our Comcast bill shot up through the roof so Mike called and renegotiated a new package.  We got everything we had plus the new DVR that I love so much and a few other things for $89.  Terrible price, but a bit less than what we would have been paying for less.  As part of that, we got the new DVR and three new Set Top Boxes to replace the four we had, and we dutifully took our 4 old set top boxes in to Comcast and got a receipt for them.  All was well, we thought, until we got our new bill, which reflected that we had EIGHT set top boxes and charged us an additional $40 for them!   Ok, easy to straighten out, we thought.  Mike called and explained what had happened and that we needed credit for the 4 boxes we had returned (and had a receipt to prove it).

He was on the phone with people who could barely speak English for an hour and a half!  While he was talking to them, I was watching TV in the Morning Room and all of a sudden I lost the signal and got a notice that my set top box was not connected and to call the billing office.  Say WHAT?   I ran in and told him, and he told the ding bat he was talking to, who obviously had cut them off.  Then I checked out the bedroom and that box was off line too.  We had to assume the basement one was the same.  He explained what must have happened ~~ slowly ~~ repeatedly ~~ and nothing.  Finally she turned him over to someone else, who spoke slightly better English and who told Mike that the package we had for $89 was no longer available!   Mike told him that it was for us because we had a two year contract.  The guy repeated that it was no longer available, but he could give us the same things we had for the great new price of $129.  Why, Mike asked, would he want to pay $129 for the same things that he had on a two year contract for $89?   The guy told him he could give us HBO and the DVR for FREE.  Mike explained that we already had HBO and the DVR for free.    Honestly ~ they screw up your service, apparently can't fix it, and then try to SELL you something??

Finally Ding Bat Number 2 said he would have to escalate this to someone in the billing department.   A few minutes later an English speaking woman called, grasped the problem right away and restored all of our set top boxes.  Then she tried to sell us phone service through them!   LOL ~~ you really can't help laughing.  Mike told her he already had local service through Century Link for free and he wasn't interested.   Then she said SHE had to escalate to someone else in the billing department to get the bill straightened out.   You know.  The thing he called in for an hour and a half ago.   AARRGGHHH.   And LOL.  We're still waiting to see if that has been done of if we have to start all over again.

Mike looked like a whipped puppy when he finally got off the phone, but he decided he wanted to go to BJ's for early dinner.  We always order a Porter there but last night we both opted for cocktails.  Mine looked good, but it was so sweet I couldn't drink it.   He ordered a margarita that sounded good, but was also pretty sweet.  Next time we're back to the Porters!    He also tried a new appetizer that consisted of fries topped by green chiles and something else.  It was served in a bowl and looked like a main entree.  It was so hot he couldn't finish it.   He did enjoy his fish and chips and I had a lovely crispy chicken salad, and brought half of it home for tonight.  He ordered a chicken fried steak carry out and he will have that for breakfast and dinner today.

And so went our afternoon.    May today be a better day.
