What  a beautiful new 'skin' and welcome page!   You always make the most wonderful things for us, and I love them ~ and you.  This is just lovely!  Thank you!

Interesting that April Fool's Day or All Fool's Day is the same as Atheists Day.  Just sayin' . . .  ;-)

Happy April Fool's Day!   I was going to say something like "Aimoo is shutting down!" and then declare "April Fool's", but with all the issues we have had, it just wouldn't be funny.smiley76

I did see an advertisement for "New Zero Calorie Burgers" from Red Robin!  Wow!  . . . April Fool!  ;-)

Welcome to April!  We had snow showers on the last day of March. Does that count?   We're starting April off in the mid 40s.

Mike and I are going out for dinner at the Bone Fish tonight to celebrate the anniversary of our first date ~ yes, on April Fool's Day.     Seems appropriate somehow.  smiley79

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/01/2016 7:59 PM)

Thanks for the compliments.  I really went back and forth with this one.  But I made a change and now I am happy with it.  I changed all areas so many times and finally found new tiles as I did not like the ones I made.  I tried the multicolored tile one on a whim and loved it with the header.  Oh well, there it is.

Nothing much going on here.  Suz and Jerry bought Joanne's boys old beater car to use.  Jordan finally went back to work.  Josh wants to come over and learn how to make Ham and Bean soup.  He loves it, but no one in the family does so they do not make it.  Mom was making a big pot for Suz's family as she sent her hambone with left over ham over for mom to do that.  So Josh ran over on his supper break and ate a huge bowl before Suz picked it up, lol.  So he will check if his mom has her hambone from Easter and if not he will buy one.  He says he will come Wednesday to learn Grandma's recipe.  I love that he is doing this and so does mom.

We had some snow in the forecast and the weather is all supposed to be in the 30's next week.  So much for Spring.  I am going to go.  I did not have time to do my email and now have 2 days worth.

Oh, I also forgot to tell you that Nerissa and Matt are expecting baby #2.  She had quit her job at the Child Care facility she worked at because the price of having 2 children there was ridiculous.  It did not pay her to work.  So she got a job here at the Child Care place that Kirstie takes Liam too because having 2 kids there is for the price of 1 since she is a teacher there.  So I knew then that they were getting ready to have another.  It is too bad as she loved the place she worked at before and I know the new place is just so-so for her.  They have not announced it on FB yet. But she is past her first trimester so things should be good.  I cannot remember when she said she was due.
Ok, now I really have to go, lol.
XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/02/2016 10:07 AM)

Good Morning.

We didn't go out for dinner last night after all.  My fault really, but Mike was happy to go along with me.   We will still go out, probably on Sunday, but last night we just had a lovely glass of 15 year old Scotch and a plate of appetizers.   It was fun and we both enjoyed it.

We still have the rest of the beef stew for tonight.  ;-)

What a pretty post ~ and what a darling tag!  Thank you!  Really does 'feel' like Spring.    I often find myself 'startled' (for want of a better word) when I come in and am greeted with your lovely pages.  Spectacular.  They make my face smile!

Really, you just have to love our darling Josh, even when you don't actually know him.  :-D   I love that he wants to come over and learn how to make ham and bean soup!   I could go for another bowl of that myself!  Mike's was delish.

I'm glad Jordan went back to work.  How is he doing?

Is that going to be Suz and Jerry's only car now, or do they have others.  They really have gone through quite a few lately, haven't they?   I know they must need more than two with both of them working and the boys needing cars too.  Hard for my little brain to keep up with.

Awww, a new baby for you to love.  I know you are going to hate that.  ;-)   It does seem funny that she has to pay so much to have two kids in the day care when she works there.  There ought to be some benefits!  They are losing a good teacher, and not gaining an extra fee, from her at least.    It's sort of like the empty storefronts you see in the malls (inside or strip malls).  You used to go to one of those stores, but they raised the rent and the people who owned the shop moved ~ and then the storefront stays empty for months.  Seems to me like having the proverbial "bird in the hand" might be better than hoping for someone to come and rent for the higher rates ~ for a year.  But . . . what do I know.     Anyway, Congratulations!

Thanks again for my beautiful new tag ~~~ and the border that you KNOW I'm going to steal.

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/02/2016 2:12 PM)

We had snow this morning.  About 2 inches in just and hour or so.  It was quite pretty.  But the sun came out and now on our side of the street there is no snow.  This is snow on the south side of the street, lol.  Cracks me up to see it.  I remember as a child in a different house we lived in, that one time when it was raining it was raining in our front yard but not in the back.  I ran back and forth between the front window to the back window because my child's mind just could not comprehend it.  I remember mom telling me, "Well, it has to stop raining somewhere...it is not raining over the whole country."  At the time, I just did not get it.  I guess I thought when it rained it rained everywhere. LOL

I love the idea of making a meal of hors d'oeuvres.  The only thing being that they are usually more loaded with carbs than a meal would be :)  Mom decided we would order our from Pizza Hut tonight.  She really likes their Tuscani Meaty Marinara Pasta from there but I think the biggest draw is that she loves the Hershey's Triple Chocolate brownies and they are warm and melty.  They really are quite good and very rich.  I have to admit that I love them too.  I may order a pizza too....just a little one, lol

I am hoping, as I am sure Rissa is, that she has a girl.  We rarely see Reid and Tricia with Finn and Sailer.  So it would be nice to have a baby girl to interact with.  I cannot wait to hold a baby again.  They grow up way to fast.  Mom has not ever met Samuel.  She has met Kirstie's Liam.  She babysat sometimes for the kids when they were little.  They were both going to bring the babies by.  Liam was over 1 when mom met his and as I said, she has never seen Sam in person.  I need to get that changed.  She just loves when little children are here.  I want her to have that.

I came in early today to make sure I got here.  I have started paying bills and want to do some creating so need to make the time.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/03/2016 8:31 AM)

Hello

We had some unwelcome excitement last night.  We went out for some groceries and when Mike got back into the car, he was not in good shape.  We sat for quite a while and he had a bottle of Ginger Ale before driving home .  When we got home, we started unloading the groceries from the trunk, and while I was reaching for a carton, I heard rather than saw Mike fall.  I think he may have lost consciousness for a few seconds.  His head was completely on the garage floor.

Low blood pressure is one of the "benefits" of Parkinsons, and he is on BP meds as well.  I think his BP dropped sharply and that's what happened.

I couldn't get him up, and he couldn't get himself up.  I got the walker thinking he could pull himself up on it or on the car, but not so.   I remembered how much trouble I had a couple of years ago when I fell in the garage ~ it took me nearly two hours of scrambling around on the garage floor before I was finally able to get myself up.   I was going to call Barb and see if she was home and could help me, but Mike said "No".  I was going to do it anyway, when another neighbor came by.  Margie was a nurse and she was also diagnosed with Parkinson's about a year ago.  She saw the trouble we were having and called her husband, Jim, and her next door neighbor Karen (who had the card party) and her husband, Bob, and they all came down to help us.  The guys got Mike up and carried the groceries in for us.  Of course we were both embarrassed, though we certainly knew that was not the intelligent response to the situation.  All I can say is Thank God for our neighbors AND that one was finishing her walk at just the right time.  I'm sure that like me when I fell, in time he would have been able to get himself up, but it was getting really hot in the garage and ~ well, anyway, all's well that ends well.  We kept the ice packs going last night and he isn't as sore as I thought he would be today, though I don't think we'll be going line dancing anytime soon.

Oooh, I really shouldn't tell you that we are expecting to reach 70 degrees today. In light of your snow, that would just be rude!

The snow is the same here, except it's the North facing houses that have a ton of snow left on the lawns and sidewalks when the South facing homes are completely clear, as if it had never snowed at all.  We used to live on the North facing side and our across the street neighbors almost never had to shovel while we were always burried.  Now we face West so our walk and drive are mostly melted quickly, but we look up the street in front of us and we see the Great Divide ~ tons of snow on the left and none on the right.  ;-)

You and I are both cursed by our addiction to carbs.  Why can't we have a great love for nothing but meat and cheese and kale?

I just got a notice that my Stamping Up package should arrive tomorrow.  That was pretty fast.  Now we'll see how fast I get to it.

I need to mop up the wood floor today.  Mike spilled something in the kitchen and Shogun walked through it and tracked all down the hall.  I also need to fold a load of laundry and I should do a couple more loads of towels, but that may not happen today.

I see you have been creative again.  I love my beautiful tag.  Thank you!

I just lost my freaking post.  I only hit the back button to delete a letter

and the whole letter went poof.  I hate this.  Why does this keep

happening to me?  I do not want to write it all again.  Grr.  I will write

tomorrow.  I am very concerned about Mike and think he should contact

his doctor as he may need his blood pressure meds treaked.

Love you!  Hugs, Lou Ann

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/04/2016 10:53 AM)

Good Morning.  Another bright, bright sunshiney day.

Yesterday I did absolutely nothing, and I got caught doing it!  Barb wanted to come over to have me order some things for her on Amazon Prime.  I was tempted to pretend I wasn't home because I looked like an unmade bed, but instead I swallowed my vanity and we had a little visit.  She is leaving for Togo today.  Please keep her in your prayers.  She is more concerned that the temperatures overnight there are in the 80s, and of course no AC than the various killer viruses, dangerous roads or possible evil people who want to kill Christian missionaries.   Actually that's probably a more serious worry ~ I can't imagine how hot it must be during the day when she will be working, and then to not be able to sleep because of the heat at night ~ ugh.

Bummer that you lost your post again.   Does Cntl_Z work to get it back when that happens?  Sometimes that works.  I guess it depends on where the dumb system decided to take you.

Mike seems to be mostly no worse for the experience.  I was afraid he would be stiff and sore for a long time, but it doesn't seem too bad. He used ice packs a lot and that really helped.  Interesting that the heating pad did more harm than good before he switched.

I think he may have more concerns than he is mentioning because he's using my walker in the house now.  I don't know how long that will last.   He is going to cut one of his BP meds down (but not out) and hopefully that will make a difference.  His Neurologist recommended that.  I would be a whole lot less concerned if he'd tripped over his feet and fallen than that he just passed out and went down.  Scary.  BUT, as I said, he seems to be doing fine.  The dizziness apparently hits when he stands rather than when he is sitting.

And that's it from here for now.

Have a Happy Day.

I am happy that Mike is none the worse for wear. I hope that tweaking his meds helps.  His blood pressure must have been too low.  Standing up quickly usually just causes vertigo so the passing out is scary.  I will keep praying for him.  Rule of thumb is ice for the first 24 hrs and then you can use heat alternating with ice.

I could not remember what keys you told me to try to see if I could get my post back.  Contr Z,  I need to put a post it note on my computer with that on it, lol.  I just get so angry because it takes me forever to get my post together and get it written as I am always watching TV too and lose track of time.  I am never just in and out.

I will certainly keep Barb and her work in my prayers.  I am actually very scared for her.  There is so much scary stuff going on in the world and terrorists everywhere you look.  We cannot just sit back and think we are safe.  How many times do we have to be attacked before we do something...I mean really do something.  I have to look up where Togo is.

Nothing much going on here.  Chris and Scott have been being good.  We are tired of the drunks...between Deb upper back apt and Chris and Scott and drunk visitors.  The back doorbell rang late the other night...it was like 1am.  So mom is getting up to see what is up and she heard loud knocking on out back door.  Now the outer back door is supposed to be locked all the time.  It leads to the basement and up to our apt.  Before she can get back there a man walks into out kitchen.  The ass was from Debs apt and he went outside and could not find Deb.  He had to go upstairs to get to Debs.  Drunken idiot.  So once again mom had to tell Chris that the back door needs to be kept locked.  She does laundry and so she leaves it unlocked while she is going it.  Half the time she gets drinking and ends up leaving it to the next day so the door is left unlocked.  and once again I had to remind mom that our inner back door needs to remain locked.  She is just so old school where you never locked your doors.
Never a boring moment around here.  DRUNKS are my nightmare...I am always afraid someone will burn then house down.  Today is not a good day to die, lol.
XOXOXO

Another lovely April Day. It's going to be getting cooler in the next few days, but still in the 50s.  I won't complain.

I don't know about you, but Aimoo is sooooo slow for me this morning.  The little wheel just spins and spins.  Sigh.

Oooh, cute "puppies"  ;-)   Thanks so much!

OhMyLord ~ that would scare me to death to have a stranger, drunk or sober, waltz into our home at 1AM!  Mike keeps talking about getting a gun because of all the craziness going on.  We'd just assume he was there for nefarious purposes because he certainly doesn't belong in our kitchen or anywhere else in our home uninvited at 1 AM!   It could end in tragedy ~~~ either one of us having a heart attack or the stranger being blown away.  Actually now, he would just encounter Mike's Shillelagh on his noggin.  LOL

You seem to be handling it a whole lot better than I would!    LOCK YOUR DOORS!   Sheesh!  Now I have to worry about you, too!

Have a good one ~~ and oh, yes.  LOCK YOUR DOORS!

I do lock the doors.  I check them when I go to bed, but we were up yet.  I am forever locking the back door and mom is forever unlocking it.  Drives me crazy.  I cannot win.  If I had my way, the doors would be locked all the time.  They were in my apts.  Of course I did not have family dropping in whenever they want.

My nephew Brent, is coming by on Sunday with the new Star Wars movie. He knew I wanted to see it so bad so he had told me that he was buying it when it came out and he would bring it over and watch it with me. He said I introduced him to Star Wars here at the house watching my copies of the movies. I also introduced my brother Leigh to Star Wars, taking him to them. I remember that he was just 10 when the first one came out and I had to read that scrolling info at the start because some of the words were beyond him. Brings back so many memories. He said he will come around noon and I suggested we get Chinese and he could pick it up on his way here.  Sounded good to him :)

I have my INR checked tomorrow.  Hoping that goes well.  Today is Liam's 2nd birthday. She must not be having a party for him this year.  I see the immediate family went to McDonald's and all the littles were playing in the big playroom.

How is Mike doing?  Any more dizzy spells?  I have been worrying about him and hope he is well.

Chat with you tomorrow my dear sisterfriend!!
XOXO

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT
(Date Posted:04/06/2016 12:37 PM)

Hello
Another Spring day here, heading for the high 60s or low 70s, but sadly with "The Wind".  I believe in other places our wind is called "tornado".  (Not exaggerating by too much, either ~ ha)

Earlier I was watching the news and laughing at the "gracious" concession speech Trump gave last night.  First time I think anyone has ever called Cruz a "tool of the Party Bosses".  He's usually criticized rather severely for not playing well with the Party Bosses.  LOL   Such a gent, is our Trump.

Mike had a dental appointment this morning and I went with him, 'just in case', so I'm a bit late today.    Mike's appointment went well.  I think he was a bit concerned about himself so he didn't hesitate when I said I was going with him.  Afterwards we decided to go to the Egg and I for breakfast ~ delish.
The guy who is buying the chairs is coming to pick them up late this afternoon and we need to get the trash and recycles out tomorrow morning so when we got home Mike worked on the recycles and I worked on unplugging and storing everything around the chairs.

How fun that Brent is coming by with the new Star Wars movie.  I love how close you are to your nephews.   You've given them so many good memories.

So far Mike seems to be doing well with taking half of one of his BP meds.  His BP isn't rising and he hasn't had any more dizzy spells when he stands up.  I think he was a bit concerned himself about going to his dental appointment and not knowing if they would be giving him any thing. Normally when I ask if he wants me to go with him, he says 'No'.  Today he was glad for my company ~ and besides, we could go out for breakfast afterwards.  ;-)

Good luck with your INR.
Last night I made a new low carb food discovery!  Mike has been getting "subway type" sandwiches from a place called Jersey Mike's.  They are wonderful.  They have all kinds, but what we get is in a lovely fresh bun and it has rare roast beef and provolone cheese and lettuce and mayo.  We leave off all the other ingredients and they are absolutely delicious.  I swear I could eat one every night forever ~ except for the small fact that the small one is 66 grams of carbohydrate.  I often have it over two nights, but that's still 33 grams.   Then we discovered that they have "bowls" ~ the meat and cheese and lettuce and whatever else you would want on your sandwich in a Bowl (no bread).   I ordered one last night (actually I ordered two so I have one for tonight as well), and I cut it up into bite size and added some Ranch dressing (1 gram per Tblsp) and it was delicious.  Ok, it would have been even better with the bun, but it was really good without and only 8 carbs plus the Ranch!  Wheeee!   Of course I have to do my blood test tomorrow and I'm having lettuce for two nights before the blood test, so I am going to HAVE to have an alcoholic beverage tonight to even things out.  Such a burden, but one does what one must.  ;-)

Happy Birthday Liam!

I had to share this tag above to show you it.  I made it for
the April Lucky Tag Drawing for CDO. I was messing with multiple copies to see what color test I liked best.  Then I closed the ones I decided against.  I mistakenly closed (deleted) the original.  This one had already been saved in png format (1 layer)  So now I could not remove the Creative Design Outlet and replace with names for tags.  I could have cried because I really like it.  I could try to do it again buy who knows if I would remember everything I did.  So there it it, one of a kind, unless I redo it.

My INR was 2.70 better than last time when it was 3.00.
I had a pharmacist in training today.  He is 36 days away from being a full pharmacist.  I love that he is counting the days.  He was young, well probably mid 20's.  He said is my next INR (in 4 weeks) is good, then I can go to 5 weeks.  Woo Hoo!!  LOL  Who would think such a little thing would make me so happy.

I am glad Mike is feeling ok, but I am even more glad that you went with him today and that he accepted that.  I am sure he is a bit fearful after that fall (faint).  Seems that the lesser amount of med is helping.  Do you have a blood pressure cuff at home.  I have an automatic on that you place on your wrist.  Since I tend to run low, I check it now and then.  It is better now that I am not on those meds that lower your blood pressure.  So all is good there.

My nephew Jason is in the Mr. Fond du Lac Pageant tomorrow night.  Josh was in it a couple of years ago.  It is all for fun and the proceeds go to charity.  The high school puts it on and the contestants have to be nominated by their peers.  He was nominated last year but he would not do it, he is a bit shier than Josh, that is for sure.  He claimed he has not talent.  I think he has a nice singing voice but he claims he cannot sing.  So he was going to lip sync but they have convinced him to sing.  He is going to dress in his Uncle Jerry's overalls that her wears for work.  He is going to ride out on stage on a kids toy tractor and he is going to sing the song "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy."  I wish I could see it but I am sure someone will get it on video so I can see it.  Josh is going, he said it is his job to embarrass his brother.  I would like to see that too!!!!!

Wisconsin said Hell No to Trump.  I know Walker would not endorse him....I could almost like him for that....almost!!  They also said no to Hillary.  That worries me. And so many people that I respect and trust want Sanders.  I just do not know what I think about that.  If he gets the Democratic nomination and Cruz gets the Republican I may be voting Republican.  But not if Trump gets in.  I could never vote for him.  He is not presidential material in my opinion.

Our weather is rain, rain and more rain....oh, and snow in the forecast.  Where the hell is Spring?  It is so damp and so gloomy all day with the rain and cloudy skies.  I want Spring.  I want warmer weather with the sun shining and birds singing and flowers sprouting up.  Is that to much to ask?

LOL, the first thing I did when I got here was to grab a border for my tag and them come here.  I had to laugh that is was the same border you had used.  But since it went best with my tag, I used it anyway,

So that's it for me today.  Chat with you tomorrow.
XOXOXO

RE:WELCOME TO APRIL CHAT

GOOD MORNING

Looks like another bright, bright sunshiney day and so far no wind!   Mike took our trash and recycles to the curb while I was still getting dressed!    I just had my slacks on when I heard the garage door going up.  I didn't put make up on but I did need to put shoes and socks on, but the time I got there (which was very early!!), he was all done!  We had a ton of stuff to take out, and I had planned to do most of it but old Speedy did it all by himself.   I think he's feeling better. ;-)

This afternoon our new chairs should be delivered!  Fingers crossed that we love them.

Well  just look at the two of us, selecting the same border.  Clearly we're thinking sunny thoughts.   Good for us ~~ it's hard to think Sunny thoughts during this awful Election Cycle.  ;-)

Your tag is beautiful!  What a shame you hadn't saved all the layers.  How frustrating ~ it really is a winner!

Oooh, good INR.  I do know the 'thrill' of getting to go a week longer between tests.  When I was going to the Lab, the longer between visits the better!  Of course my visits there were a real ordeal for both the pholobotomists and for me.   Now I have to do it every two weeks and that's a tiny bit of a pain, but doing it from home, from my finger and without the Lab visit is wonderful.   I need to do it today ~~ and I did have a glass and a half of wine last night.  Now I suppose it will be too high ~ lol.   The nurse changed my dosage from 5mg a day with half a pill on Wednesdays to half a pill on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  I keep expecting it to be too low just based on that, but so far it's been good.  Then I had lettuce for two days this week so I thought the wine might even things out.  We'll see.  Ha.

Oh, I hope someone videos Jason in the pageant tonight for you to see!   How fun!  Your boys are so outgoing and talented!

LOL ~~ Walker ALMOST got a thumbs up from you.  Almost.  (lol)   I would love to see Cruz get the nomination, though I'm not holding my breath.   I am a Constitutional Conservative much more than a Republican.   If it ends up being a contest between Trump and Hillary ~  groan.   I fear I will once again have to vote Against rather than For ~ and if you had any idea how sick I am of doing that you'd give me a big "Poor Baby".  Ha.   Voting for Trump would be a very hard pill to swallow.     It sounds like both camps are going at it again ~ how fun.  NOT.   Trump is name calling, and it doesn't take long for those names to "stick" no matter how unfair and inaccurate they are.  Now Hillary and Bernie are going after each other, each saying the other is not qualified to be president.  (Sorry, but I have to agree with both of them.  LOL)    I could never, ever vote for a Socialist, but I can't imagine voting for Hillary either.   Are we having fun, yet?   Do you see any "fun" in our future?   Me, neither.

Ah, well.   Have a great day anyway!

The colors didn't photograph right ~ chairs are much redder

I AM GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW THAT SPRING TAG CHALLENGE

I DID ABOVE WORKS.  WE WERE GIVEN THIS WORD SPRING:

TO USE TO MAKE A TAG.  WE WERE NOT TO RESIZE, THAT WAS THE ONLY

RULE.  OTHER THAN THAT LUCK TAG DRAW CHALLENGES CANNOT BE

ANY LARGER THAN 550X550.  SO YOU SAW WHAT I DID.

HERE ARE A COUPLE OTHERS THAT WERE MADE FOR ME.

WHAT I DO NOT GET, IS THAT ALL BUT MINE ARE CLEARLY RESIZED,

IT KIND OF DRIVES ME CRAZY.  BUT, THAT IS ME.  WHY HAVE RULES?

BUT WHAT I LIKE IS HOW DIFFERENT EACH ONE IS!
