This is weird.  I can't seem to go back and forth between the pages.  Anyway, I did post yesterday and again today ~ if you can find both!

smiley14

Good Monday Morning.

Nice low key Sunday for us. The crockpot chicken and dressing turned out well, and will give us another meal for tonight.  Love it when that happens.  lol

I'm going to try to get a few other things done today.  TRY.  We'll see what actually happens ~ tee hee.

We're currently at 61 but heading for a high of 81, with no rain predicted.  Well, that's what they SAY anyway.  We'll see.   We still have rain predicted for tomorrow, but it usually waits until afternoon, so we'll have to wait and see if we get the car washed and detailed or not.    Maybe it's just as well if we don't.  Having two clean cars in the garage would me that we were without transportation!  smiley60

Make it a great day!

RE:SEPTEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:09/08/2014 11:46 PM)

Hi Dorothy

Jerry came and looked at my chair yesterday and it cannot be repaired. The wood board that goes across the front of the chair broke and cannot be fixed. Therefore the seat has dropped some on that side and the foot rest will not lower or raise on that side. They vacuumed it out and put it to the curb and someone from 2 doors down, across the street came over to look at it. My sister told them the foot rest would not work and they asked if that was all that was wrong and she said yes. That made me angry.  I said it will just end up back on our curb. But it has not come back so maybe they could fix it. Jerry may have just not have wanted to do it.

Well I bit the bullet and called the doctors office.  I got up feeling really crappy and thought I was going to die in the shower...I just could not breathe.  Then I coughed up that really horrid, thick dark khaki green phlegm.  I called Dr. Hatahet's office and explained to the receptionist what I wanted.  She said she would get the info to Dr's nurse and she would have to discuss it with the doctor.  Several hours later she called me and said the doctor was ordering the antibiotic for me and that this time I would take it for 15 days.  Last time it was 10 days.  She said if I do not start getting better in a week that I should see my primary MD or go to Urgent Care.  I hope that will not be necessary and that this time it is completely wiped out of my system.  I do not know where I am getting this from.  He treats it as an bacterial infection.  I have not changed my O2 tubing in quite a while so I am doing that as it maybe could be a source of reinfection.  Can't hurt even if it is not.

Do not fret so over your weekend guests.  All will be fine.  When is Marcella's next visit in connection with the event.  If it is not close to the visit rearrange the schedule so that it is and you do not have to worry about the house being clean.  Work out a menu for their time by you and figure in a meal out.  If they are driving to you, then they are probably not interested in taking a scenic drive and will probably just enjoy time spent with you in your home.  You can always rent a movie if things are to slow.  But I do not think you all will run out of things so say.  Perhaps you can add some chairs to the porch or deck and spend time outdoors if the weather permits.  Maybe Barb will come over and entertain with stories of her time in G.  All will be well.  So turn down the stress level.  You are fine.

Need to do my nebulizer treatment now.  Chat with you tomorrow.

Big Hugs,

RE:SEPTEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:09/09/2014 3:28 PM)

Good Morning.
I have no idea what today is going to bring.  The Car Wash Guy is supposed to come between 9:30 and 10:30 and wash and detail the Chrysler.   Weather forecast is for 73 degree high, and showers.  What wonderful timing we have ~~ although of course it MIGHT be wonderful timing.  Ya never know.
We had also hoped to go out to an early dinner tonight, but with two clean cars in the garage, how can we possibly leave the house?  We can't win.  Ha.

Yesterday I did actually get a few things done ~ surprise, surprise!   A couple of loads of laundry (with one still needing to be folded), the wood floor washed (Shogun puked all over it the day before.  We cleaned the spots but still needed to do the floor), and a few other little things.  As always, still so much more to do.  Will I?   Will WE?  Who knows.

I did get an update from Barbara and posted it in her thread.  She is leaving on 9/11!  Please keep her in your prayers.  I've heard so many threats from ISIS for 9/11.

smiley35

Damn.  I'm so sorry your chair didn't get fixed.  I know sometimes it's a matter of whether or not you have the equipment to fix it and maybe it was just too big a job.  In any case, I'm really sorry it didn't work.   We have to figure out a way to get you a decent chair to sleep in!  I wouldn't be surprised if not being able to sleep is effecting your health issues.

I think it's good that you called your Dr ~ and believe me I do understand why you didn't want to.  I really hope taking the longer series of meds will make a big difference.

I did arrange for Marcela to come back next week, so hopefully with her coming this week AND next, the house will be pretty clean for our company.   I'm going to have her strip the guest room bed this week and bring the sheets up for me to wash, and then clean the Guest Suite and make the bed next week ~ AND go over the upstairs again.

We've already made plans  to have all of  our dinners out, and even let them see menus to accept or reject our suggestions.  (And isn't that a sad commentary?)   I'm making a breakfast casserole for Sunday and Monday and we'll go out for breakfast before they leave on Tuesday.   We'll have fixins for sandwiches or snacks for lunches.   It's just the entertainment that is lacking.

Isn't it sad that instead of being excited and looking forward to company like we used to, we stress about it?  Phooey!   I know in my head that it will all be fine ~ but "head knowledge" has very little to do with how I feel about things.  Ha.    Two of my friends in the other group expressed the same concerns about entertaining.  Barb mentioned that her sister and niece were building homes so they couldn't afford to come so "she was safe".  I just hooted.  I am  not alone.  Things that were such fun years ago are just too darned much now.  It's a shame.

Mike's sister had her mother-in-law, brother-in-law and his kids visit a few weeks ago, and she was as stressed out about as I am.  Really kind of funny because they have lots of company and I always thought they loved it.  They must be getting older, too.  Though not as "older" as me!  lol

I'm really serious about finding a way to get your bed/chair replaced.   Where did you get the one you liked so much.  Is it possible to get another one like it, or similar?

Looks like it might rain again.  Phooey.    See ya tomorrow.

RE:SEPTEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:09/10/2014 7:05 AM)

Happy Hump Day.

Yesterday was somewhat less than wonderful, but it all worked out in the end.  The Shine On Me guy was supposed to come between 9:30 and 10:30, and when we hadn't heard from him by 10:25 I called just to be sure we were still on the schedule.  Mike hates to call and confirm or check on things like that, and I kind of hate NOT to.  Anyway ~ surprise, surprise.  We were on the schedule ~ for 12 to 1:30!   That's the time we were scheduled for the last time and didn't like it.  When Mike made this appointment, I'm pretty sure he didn't just come up with the 9:30 time out of thin air, so she must have forgotten to enter the time when she talked to him, and then just duplicated the old time later ~~ OR she gave our timeslot to someone else and changed it.  Anyway, I was not happy!

If I were a more mellow person, it wouldn't (and shouldn't) have bothered me.  We really didn't do anything else anyway, but there is something so frustrating about waiting for someone and not knowing when to expect them.  ALSO, there were showers predicted all day.  Had they come when they should have, everything would have been fine, but coming later he got the car washed and started waxing when it started to sprinkle.  He moved the car into the garage to finish detailing and waxing it.  Our garage is very small even though we had it expanded 2 feet in both directions.  I didn't go look, but I envisioned him scrunched next to car in the garage, waxing it, and it didn't make me smile.

His helper later joined him, so we had two of 'em in the small, not immaculate garage, working on the car.  When they were through, Mike looked at it and said it looked great.  We are supposed to park it in the sun, if such a thing ever comes back out, for the wax to "bake".  When you are paying for hand waxing, you want something more than the squirt on wax at the car wash.  Mike's the expert and he seems happy so I should be too, I guess.

So then, the dilemma.  We wanted to go out for dinner, but we now have a still clean red Lincoln, and an unbaked midnight blue Chrysler.  Obviously we couldn't drive either of them when rain was still threatening, so we took a cab to the restaurant!

smiley39

Lou Ann, sorry 'bout that late post.  As you guessed I'm sure, I posted in the other group and then had to get up and get my clothes on so I'd be ready when the guy came at 9:30 ~~ or so I thought.   Mike and I had breakfast while we waited for him, and then talked and then he came and then . . . . on and on, and I never got back into cuppa to post, and actually forgot that I hadn't posted until afternoon!   See what happens when my "schedule" is altered?!  Ha!   So I quick copied the TnT post and altered it to talk to you.   I feel like the "bones" of the TnT post is kind of like the infamous Christmas Letter.  Why rewrite the same things over and over for each person when you can write it once for all, and then add the personal messages separately?  So, that's what I do.

I was able to save the beautiful tag you made and I love it.  I will see if i can't post it into TnT where we have a Diamond Group, and then copy it over here.   Anyway, it's just beautiful ~ Thank you!

OhMyGosh, Finn is HUGE!  LOL ~ at least he seems so next to tiny Sailer.  So cute!

I hate that you are feeling so bad, and I'm serious about figuring out how to get you a good chair to sleep in!   Do you know what kind your original chair was, or where it came from?

smiley39

Ok, I'll confess.  I was just funnin' ya.smiley105 We really didn't take a cab to the restaurant last night but it did rain on our still clean and shiney Lincoln.   Mike bought what he thought were two micro-fiber car cleaning cloths and we thought that since it had been hand waxed and was just rain wet, we could wipe it down and leave it looking good.  Nice thought, but what he thought were two cloths turned out to be just one very big cloth!  Darn.  I couldn't help him.  So sad.   He didn't take long to go over the car and wipe it down in the garage, and when he came in he said it looked better than it had when we left.  Apparently the cloth has some kind of oil in it and it not only wiped off the rain but restored the month old shine.   And oh, goodie.  He's going to order another cloth for me to use.  LOL

Have a Happy Day!

DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN 9-11 WAS JUST ANOTHER DAY?  NOT ANY
MORE I CAN'T.  I AM SURE IT IS LIKE PEARL HARBOR FOR THE OLDER GENERATION, BUT I DID NOT EXPERIENCE THAT, SO I HAVE NOT FELT
THAT WAY ABOUT THAT DATE.  I WILL NEVER FORGET THE FEELINGS I
HAD THAT DAY.  THE HORROR WHEN THE FIRST PLANE HIT.  THE
DISBELIEF WHEN THE 2ND PLANE HIT AND THE DAWNING IN MY MIND
THAT SOMETHING WAS TERRIBLY WRONG.  THE FEAR WAS INCREDIBLE
AND I JUST WANTED TO GO HOME AND BE WITH FAMILY.  I STILL FEEL
THAT WAY ABOUT THE DAY.  I JUST WANT TO BE WITH MY FAMILY.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

YOU HAD ME FOR A BIT THERE DOROTHY.  I THOUGHT, OMG, THEY WOULD RATHER TAKE A CAB THAN GET THEIR CAR DIRTY.  YET, I
REALLY COULD NOT PICTURE YOU GOING IN A CAB.  I WAS HAPPY
TO SEE IT WAS A JOKE.

I DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU GOT THE TAG TO LOAD.  I TRIED USING MY
MAIL HERE AND THE TAGS SHOWED UP THERE, BUT WHEN I COPIED
AND PASTED I WOULD ONLY GET THE LINK ADDRESSES SHOWING.  I
CANNOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THE ANIMATION.  CDO SELLS ANIMATIONS
ALONG WITH TUBES AND SCRAP KITS.  I JUST HAVE TO DECIDE HOW
TO FIT THEM INTO A TAG.  NOT ALWAYS EASY SINCE THE LAYERING
IS CRUCIAL AND ANIMATION SHOP DOES NOT MAKE LAYERING EASY.
I AM GLAD YOU LIKED IT.

STILL FEELING CRAPPY...THE COUGHING IS EXHAUSTING.  I AM TIRED
AS I CAN BE FROM IT.  I HOPE IT STARTS GETTING BETTER SOON.  I
DID LAST LONGER WITH THE C-PAP LAST NIGHT AND I SLEPT SOME
WHAT BETTER.  JUST HAVE TO HANG IN THERE.

NEW TAGS.  FOR THE CHALLENGE WE HAD TO MAKE BASEBALL CARDS.
HUGS,

OMG, I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT I FINISHED READING STILL LIFE
AND I LOVED IT.  LOVE THREE PINES AND I TOO WANT TO LIVE THERE.
I COULD TAKE ART CLASSES AND LEARN TO PAINT.  DO ALL THE BOOKS
INVOLVE THREE PINES??

RE:SEPTEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:09/11/2014 12:34 PM)

TWO THOUSAND ONE, NINE ELEVEN
 (2001-9/11)

Two thousand one, nine eleven
Three thousand plus arrive in heaven
As they pass through the gate,
Thousands more appear in wait
A bearded man with stovepipe hat
Steps forward saying, "Lets sit, lets chat"

They settle down in seats of clouds
A man named Martin shouts out proud
"I have a dream!" and once he did
The Newcomer said, "Your dream still lives."

Groups of soldiers in blue and gray
Others in khaki, and green then say
"We're from Bull Run, Yorktown, the Maine"
The Newcomer said, "You died not in vain."

From a man on sticks one could hear
"The only thing we have to fear.
The Newcomer said, "We know the rest,
trust us sir, we've passed that test."

"Courage doesn't hide in caves
You can't bury freedom, in a grave,"
The Newcomers had heard this voice before
A distinct Yankees twang from Hyannisport shores

A silence fell within the mist
Somehow the Newcomer knew that this
Meant time had come for her to say
What was in the hearts of the five thousand plus that day

"Back on Earth, we wrote reports,
Watched our children play in sports
Worked our gardens, sang our songs
Went to church and clipped coupons
We smiled, we laughed, we cried, we fought
Unlike you, great we're not"

The tall man in the stovepipe hat
Stood and said, "Don't talk like that!
Look at your country, look and see
You died for freedom, just like me"

Then, before them all appeared a scene
Of rubbled streets and twisted beams
Death, destruction, smoke and dust
And people working just 'cause they must

Hauling ash, lifting stones,
Knee deep in hell, but not alone
"Look! Blackman, Whiteman, Brownman, Yellowman
Side by side helping their fellow man!"

So said Martin, as he watched the scene
"Even from nightmares, can be born a dream."

Down below three firemen raised
The colors high into ashen haze
The soldiers above had seen it before
On Iwo Jima back in '44

The man on sticks studied everything closely
Then shared his perceptions on what he saw mostly
"I see pain, I see tears,
I see sorrow -- but I don't see fear."

"You left behind husbands and wives
Daughters and sons and so many lives
are suffering now because of this wrong
But look very closely. You're not really gone.

All of those people, even those who've never met you
All of their lives, they'll never forget you
Don't you see what has happened?
Don't you see what you've done?
You've brought them together, together as one.

With that the man in the stovepipe hat said
"Take my hand," and from there he led
three thousand plus heroes, Newcomers to heaven
On this day, two thousand one, nine eleven

(Date Posted:09/11/2014 1:30 PM)

Good Afternoon.   Marcela was here this morning, and I just can't post when she's here unless I only post a tag and no text.

Today was Trash and Recycle Day too, and it's COLD!  Misting and only in the 40s.  Brrrr.  Because of the mist which was fairly heavy, and the rain that is expected later, we didn't put the flag out.

You are right. 9-11 will never be just another day again, and it shouldn't.  We must never allow ourselves to forget.  I'm just grateful that so far at least nothing bad has happened today.

LOL ~ I thought I might get ya going saying that we had two nice clean cars in the garage but rather than get either of them dirty, we took a cab.  LOL

Whether you made the animations or just complied them into the tag, I love it.  It's just beautiful ~~ and here is yet another darling tag!  Thank you so much!!

Oh, you just made my day because you read and loved "Still Life".  It's funny how much a person loves having something they love enjoyed and loved by others.

Most of the books are set in Three Pines although at least three haven't been.  I would think that I wasn't going to like the book not set in Three Pines before I started it, but I always enjoyed them.  I like that we ultimately always go back to Three Pines.   Can't you just see yourself sitting in the plaza and then coming over to the Bistro for breakfast or for a drink in the afternoon?  Don't you just drool reading what the boys serve our friends there?   Don't you just love "the boys"?  Me too!

There is a made for TV movie of Still Life that was just released, but as far as I know it's only available on Acorn right now.   It needed to be a six hour mini-series to let you really get the flavor of the place and the characters and all the side stories, but for an hour and a half movie, we thought it was surprisingly well done.  The guy who plays Gamache, Nathaniel Parker, seemed "wrong" when I first read of the casting, but the more I thought about it, the more I could see him as Gamache.  Not the physical appearance so much, but the mannerisms and gestures he used playing Inspector Linley in that series.  Other cast members were quite good for the most part.  Myrna is a slim and stylish woman and that's just not right ~ lol.  There were other discrepancies, but for the most part it was really good.  We've watched it twice, and I know we will watch it again.

Hope you're feeling better.

I AM STILL NOT UP TO PAR AND AM STILL WAITING FOR THE
ANTIBIOTIC TO WORK IT'S MAGIC.  THOUGH THE PHLEGM IS
TURNING FROM GREEN TO YELLOW.  SO MAYBE I AM AT A
TURNING PLACE. I AM SUPPOSED TO GO FOR MY BLOOD
CHECK TOMORROW, BUT AM GOING TO DRAG IT OUT TO
MONDAY.  ANYTHING PHYSICAL SETS ME COUGHING
HORRIBLY SO JUST GETTING THERE WOULD BE ROUGH.
HOPEFULLY BY MONDAY IT WILL BE BETTER.

I LOVE THE INSPECTOR, AND HIS STALL, THOUGH NICHOL WAS
A ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS.  I LOVE THE CITIZENS OF THREE
PINES.  THE BOYS ARE WONDERFUL  SOME THINGS ABOUT
THEM REMINDED ME OF GARY AND STEVE AND I REFER TO
THEM AS THE BOYZ!!  LOL  THERE ARE SOME NASTIES TOO.
BUT EVERYWHERE YOU GO YOU HAVE THEM.  I WOULD WANT
TO BE EATING AT THE BISTRO ALL THE TIME.  OR GOING TO
THE BOOKSTORE OR THE ART GALLERY.  SO FUNNY THAT SUCH
A SMALL TOWN WOULD HAVE THESE THINGS.

I HAD NEVER READ THAT POEM BEFORE.  IT IS REALLY QUITE
NICE IN IT'S LESSON.  I AM GOING TO PASS IT ON TO MY FRIEND
FRANNIE, SHE LOST A BROTHER IN LAW TO THE TOWERS ON 9-11

NOTHING ELSE NEW WITH ME.  REALLY BAD NIGHT FOR
TELEVISION.  AND NOW MY MOM HAS DISCOVERED ANOTHER
TRASH TV SHOW SHE LIKES....DATING NAKED OR VICE VERSA.
I JUST DO NOT GET HER FASCINATION.  SHE DOES NOT LIKE
THE VIEW BECAUSE THEY WILL ALL TALK AT ONCE AND TALK
OVER EACH OTHER.  YET SHE LOVES JERRY SPRINGER AND
THEY YELL OVER EACH OTHER, EVERY OTHER WORD IS
BLEEPED AND THEY BEAT ON EACH OTHER.  (I KNOW IT IS
ALL STAGED) BUT STILL, IT IS RIDICULOUS.

IT IS COLD HERE TODAY TOO.  THE HOUSE WAS CLOSED UP
ALL DAY.  SHE DOES NOT MIND THE DOOR BEING CLOSED
WHEN IT'S COLD, BUT NOT WHEN IT IS HOT.  GO FIGURE.
ANYWAY, HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY.

Good Morning.  TGIF?

SNOW was predicted for last night!   We may have gotten a flake or two overnight ~ or not ~ but none stuck this morning, thank Goodness!

It's currently just above freezing (34), but heading for a 'high' of 54.  But wait!  70s and 80s predicted for the rest of the week.  Crazy.

We're thinking of going to the Czech Restaurant tonight and getting leftovers for tomorrow.  There's just something about cold weather and The Golden Europe.    We need to get a few groceries for the coming week and next weekend, so we might do that before dinner.  Or not.    The house is nice and clean, the laundry is mostly all done, dinner will be 'made' for tonight and tomorrow ~ life is good.    I even had Marcela strip the bed in the guest room and bring the sheets upstairs so I can wash them, then I'll have her take them back down and make the bed next Thursday, right before our guests come.  I know.  How lazy can I get?  ha.

Doesn't it seem like something is always in need of fixin'?  Our house is only three years old, and we're always having to fix something.   The other day Mike opened one of the windows in our bedroom, and something 'broke'.  He can't get it up any higher, and can't completely close it.  Almost closed, but not quite.  He called two window repair people.  One still hasn't returned his call, and the other did, but too late.  In the meantime, we learned that these windows are covered under warranty for life, so those folks will come out and fix it on Wednesday.  Can't come sooner, of course. smiley74  It's a good thing last night was the only really cold one predicted for now!  I woke early this morning and wondered if Mike had the AC on!  Nope, just the window not completely closed and the temp turned down.

smiley20

Another beautiful tag!  Thank you!

I'm sorry you still aren't all better.  Sounds like it's a slow process, and that's miserable.

We watched our own "Haven" marathon a little while ago, but there was another one on SyFy yesterday leading up to the start of the new season. We did watch the newest episode, but I didn't love it.  The early episodes were fun ~ really quirky, but fun.  Now they are quirky.  (ha)

Otherwise we've rewatched the Miss Fisher's Murder series and are currently re-watching Murdock Mysteries.  Season 8 of Murdock will start October 6th ~~ in Canada!  No telling how long we will have to wait for it.  I'm ready for some of our old series to come back ~ now!

I don't think  I could enjoy watching TV with your mom.  Our tastes couldn't be more different ~ though I do agree with her about The View.  I just can't watch that at all.  Fox has a couple of good group talk shows, or rather they would be good if everyone didn't talk at once.  I'm often tempted to go to their Facebook sites and share with them that when they all talk at once, even if they get louder and louder, I still can't hear any of them.  So I change the channel.

Just watching a TV story about a Radio Host who has exposed a teen ager's murder as Domestic Terrorism.  The "news" tried to blame the teen for doing something he shouldn't have or say it was a robbery, but that isn't the truth.  He was killed because he was an American.  We need to stop the Politically Correct Cover Ups befor they kill us all.  Story Here.

Ok, I'll quit ~~ for now.  Mike got Chrystie a new bed filled with some kind f stuff they use on the Space Station to keep warm ~ and you almost can't get her to leave.  Really kind of funny.  Shogun is under the covers in our bed.  Ha!

And so it goes.   Have a Happy Friday.

Brrrrr, chilly willy here today too!  The high today
was 47...we did not even make it to 50.  It is now
42.  The forecast is only showing low 60's for
the next week.  Wow, it is like we jumped out of
the fire and into the ice water challenge, lol.  I am
hearing that the old farmers almanac says it is going
to be a wickedly cold winter....but it also said the
same about the heat this summer and it was not as
bad as predicted.  So I hope it is not as bad as
they are making it sound.
I have no clue what Czech food it like since I have
never had it.  I hope you get to go and enjoy every
bite.  I would like to eat out anywhere. But I would
especially like a really good steak, lol.
I was able to keep the C-PAP on all night last night.
But my nights are shorter that they had been
because with the chair being no so comfortable
I do not lay there and go back to sleep.  So am
sleeping less hours, though am not too tired in
that way.  Just physically tired....my body does
not want to do what I want it to do.
I am glad to hear that your window is covered
under it's warranty.  At least some things are,
lol.  Chrystie's new bed sounds wonderful for
her and obviously it must be since she likes it so
much.  But we know they love warm.  I am really
surprised that ShoGun hasn't tried to take it over.
Did not go for INR, going to wait till Mon and hope
my breathing is better.  If I keep coughing in the
hospital they will make me wear a mask and I just'
cannot breath with them on.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
This tag challenge was a Zinnia Color Pallette.
I love Zinnia's!!

Hello!  Ready to enjoy the weekend?   Yesterday it barely got into the 50s here.  Definitely Brrrr-worthy and perfect for a visit to our favorite cold weather restaurant.

However ~~ I managed to whack my back again.  Everything was fine.  I was in the shower but then I did a very bad thing.  I leaned over to wash my feet and WHAM!  I've been in pain ever since, some of it fairly intense.  The only saving grace is knowing that "this, too, shall pass".  Just SOON, please.

I see I have scrunchy text again.  I opened a new post and started typing not using a border or anything, but it was just as scrunchy.  It appears that this is not going to be my day.  If you can't read anything I write, you're probably not missing much anyway.  ha.

Our weather is insane!  Almost winter yesterday ~ 36 when I got up this morning ~ but heading for the 70s today and the 80s for the rest of the week.  Crazy.  You definitely wouldn't be swimming here today, but maybe tomorrow.

Fortunately our open window is only a crack, but that's enough to keep the bedroom pretty cold when it gets below freezing.

Our neighbor who does the most for the HOA called yesterday and told us that our AC is tipping and slipping pretty badly on the side of the house.  We never walk on the rock for obvious reasons, and the Spruce tree plus the downward slope blocks our view of the AC from the street, so we didn't know.   We had that problem after our first year and we reported it to the builder.  Before he came to look at it, the AC guy propped it up with some rocks so Dave the Builder said it was fine and did nothing.  Then when we contacted them about getting our retaining wall put in, we asked to have the retaining wall around the AC fixed more permanently, too.  That didn't happen either, and we never actually were allowed to talk to the Landscapers directly.

If we had our lives to live over, we would never have done the retaining wall through the builder but we were trying to jump through the hoops we thought the HOA would put up for us.  Too soon old, too late smart!   Anyway, bless Bill's heart for letting us know.  He even gave us the name of someone to call to fix it, and we have an appointment for Tuesday for him to come.   Isn't that the same day the window guy is coming, or is it Wednesday.  I'll have to look it up.  Fun, fun, fun.

Our Czech restaurant is really Polish, German and Czech.  No lamb (thank goodness).  The used to make their schnitzle with veal but now they use pork.  I always order Svikova with red cabbage and spaetzle.  Check Here ~ Just one of many ways to fix it.  Mike has the German plate which is duck breast,  bratwirst, and schnitzle with red cabbage and spaetzle.

Another Gorgeous Tag and Border.  You are too good to me ~~ but don't feel you have to stop.  LOL    I am so blessed in so many ways to have your friendship.  I cherish it.   Thank you!
smiley8

Have a wonderful Day!

Definitely feeling better, but not back to my poor norm, lol.
I have a mammogram scheduled this week but am going to
reschedule because all the fuss will cause me to cough, and
a mammo is bad enough on it's own with coughing and there
by pulling on the breast while they are squished. smiley73

We watched The Quiet Man today.  I know it is not shamrock
time, but it was on so we watched it.  I enjoy it every time I
see it.  I cannot believe that I am starting to be able to quote
some of the lines...."What manner of man have I married?"
"A far better one than you think you know."  I said it before
they did, lol.

Nothing else going on around here.  We need to grocery shop
as the cupboards are getting bare.  I do not know what I can
eat for breakfast tomorrow.  We are out of bread, bagels,
waffles and eggs.  Not even any crackers I could put peanut
butter on, lol.  Suz was going to take mom after work yesterday
and she got too busy so mom told her to never mind she would
have Diane take her since she had told mom she would take
here on Sat after she oversaw a volleyball game.  She never
came and mom called her late afternoon and she was at
school working and said mom was supposed to have called
her.  Nevermind.  Now we are back to Suz and she is taking
her after church tomorrow.  So not sure what I will be able
to find for breakfast.  Maybe I have some cereal in the
cupboard, though it is probably very old.
Somebody should be fixing you air conditioner free of charge
since the issue has been since you moved it.  The jerks!!
I cannot believe all they did was put some rocks under it.
Talk about inept...that would be ok for a quick fix till they
actually fixed it!!  Shame on them.
Well, going to go, have a Blessed Sunday.
Hugs,
