TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE SKIN.  TOMORROW I AM GOING TO

CHANGE THAT BACKGROUND AND LIGHTEN THIS POST AREA.

IT IS HARD TO SEE THE WRITING ON UNLESS YOU REMEMBER

TO MAKE YOUR TEXT A LIGHT COLOR.  I THINK MAYBE THIS

SKIN IS TOO BUSY.  SO GIVE ME YOUR OPINION AFTER I POST

A DIFFERENT ONE.  I LOVE THIS ONE BUT IT MAY BE TOO MUCH.

MY MOM IS THE NOSIEST WOMAN IN THE KNOWN WORLD.

SHE HATES THE AC ON BECAUSE THEN SHE CANNOT WATCH

WHAT PEOPLE OUTSIDE ARE DOING OR HEAR THEM TALK.

WHERE HER CHAIR IS SHE CAN SEE RIGHT OUT THE SCREEN

DOOR.  OUR NEWS PAPER USED TO BE CALLED THE

FOND DU LAC COMMONWEALTH REPORTER.  IT IS NOW JUST

THE FOND DU LAC REPORTER.  ANYWHO, WHEN WE WERE

KIDS SHE WAS KNOWN AS THE COMMONWEALTH REPEATER.

HONESTLY!!!!  SHE IS THE WORST GOSSIP.  WAIT, I TAKE

THAT BACK...MY SISTER SUZANNE IS THE WORST GOSSIP.

MOM IS 2ND, LOL.  BUT NEITHER OF THEM SEE IT THAT

WAY.  I HAVE TOLD MOM THAT IT WILL BITE HER IN THE

ASS SOMEDAY, NOT THAT IT HASN'T ALREADY A COUPLE

OF TIMES.

I AM SO TIRED TODAY.  I AM RUNNING ON EMPTY.  EARLY

THIS MORNING THE RECLINER I SLEEP IN BROKE.  I FELT

AND HEARD A BANG AND PART OF THE SEAT DROPPED.

SO DID THE FOOT REST AND IT WAS STUCK IN BETWEEN,

NOT UP AND NOT DOWN AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

SO I HAD TO GET UP AND OF COURSE THE AIR WAS OFF

OUT OF MY ROOM AND MOM HAD THE DOOR OPEN.  I

COULD FEEL THE HUMIDITY.  I WAS UP SHORTLY AFTER

6 AM AND USUALLY GET UP BETWEEN 6-8.  I WANTED

SUZ'S HUSBAND JERRY OR JORDAN TO LOOK AT IT BUT

THEY WERE AWAY.  THEY SAID THEY WOULD COME BY

WHEN THEY GOT HOME.  SUZ AND JORDAN CAME BUT

HE SAID HE WAS TOO TIRED TO LOOK AT IT.  MOM HAD

THEM TAKE HER TO SHOPKO TO GET ME A NEW CHAIR.

I SAID I WANTED ONE LIKE WHAT I HAD.  IT WAS OVER-

STUFFED AND WAS LIKE SLEEPING ON A CLOUD.  THEY

CAME HOME WITH A CHAIR THAT THEY WERE THRILLED

WITH BECAUSE IT WAS ORIGINALLY OVER $500, BUT ALL

FURNITURE WAS ON SALE AND THIS ONE WAS A CLOSE

OUT SO IT STARTED OFF CHEAPER.  BY THE TIME THEY

GOT DONE WITH THE DISCOUNTS THE CHAIR ONLY COST

$169.  BUT IT WILL TAKE GETTING USED TO.  MY OTHER

CHAIR WAS SO MUCH BIGGER AND I COULD ALMOST

TURN SIDEWAYS IN IT.  THIS ONE IS SHORTER, NOT

NEARLY AS STUFFED AND THE FOOT REST DOES NOT

GO UP VERY HIGH...IT IS A BIT LOWER THAN THE SEAT

WHICH I DO NOT LIKE.  THE HEAD GOES WAY BACK

BUT WILL NOT STAY IN THE POSITION.  FOR THE FOOT

IT HAS A BUTTON THE YOU PULL TO LIFT THE REST AND

TO CLOSE IT YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR LEGS.  I DO NOT

LIKE THAT STYLE EITHER.  I DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY

COULD NOT HAVE TAKEN ME.  THEY JUST DID NOT WANT

TO MESS WITH MY WHEELCHAIR.  I HOPE I CAN GET

USED TO IT...IN MY OLD CHAIR I FELT ENVELOPED IN

IT AND SAFE, THIS ONE I FEEL AS IF I AM PERCHED ON

IT. WISH ME LUCK, I THINK I AM GOING TO NEED IT.

HUGS,

Good Morning and Happy Labor Day!

Our flag is flying and the rib eyes have been thawed and are ready to grill.  Other than that?  Not much.  Ha!

I did get my hair color in yesterday.  It sure needed it!  I have a load of laundry that needs to be folded and put away, but otherwise another low key day I think.  How 'bout you?

Though I know the actual end of Summer is later, Labor Day always signals Fall to me.

We did get a little rain yesterday afternoon.  It rained hard, but not for too long and no Hail!  I sure hope it doesn't need to rain late this afternoon, cuz we have those lovely rib eyes all ready for the grill.   It's supposed to get to the high 70s with zero chance of rain, but I trust the Weather Folk Not!

Some of the trees around us are already turning!  I can hardly believe it.  We haven't really had any cold weather and we've certainly had a lot of rain, but some of them are turning.   Whodda thunk?

smiley26

Lovely, lovely sign in page as always!  Thank you so much!   This time I didn't have to look Ms McNutt up, either!

I love the Fall tile you used for the skin, but I do think (only since you asked) that it's a bit too busy with the beautiful header tag.  smiley74   I agree the red background makes text hard to see, but I usually use a background with white in the center, so it's ok unless I were going to just type a quick message.

I used books (back to school??) as my background in TnT and I wasn't at all sure about it either.  Today it looks better to me, but next time I shouldn't wait so long to get 'er done.

Laughing right out loud at your mom's reason for wanting the AC off!  Oh my, you gave me such a giggle!

I'm so sorry your recliner broke!  While I think it's great that your mom bought you a new one, I think it's just not quite right that you weren't allowed any input to it's selection.  Price certainly does matter, and the buyer gets the final say, but I think you should have been able to at least try it out and be sure it was going to be comfortable for you, since you're going to be sleeping in it!   Ok, I'll hush now.

Thank you for the beautiful new tag.

Did you get your gift book from Amazon?  Let me know if you didn't get it and I'll have them resend it.

Yes, Dorothy, I got the book.  Thank you so very much.
I will read it as soon as I finish the one I am reading.
I hate the new chair.  It is short....about 8 inches of
my leg/feet hang off the end of the leg rest.  So in winter,

when it is cold, even though I will cover up, the bottom
of my legs will be exposed.  The top will not lay back, well
it will but it will not stay back.  And you have to kick the
foot rest back into place and it takes me several tries to
get it to stay.  Not good if the bathroom is calling you.
I will try to get used to it. Mom told me that she bought
it for me...but then she said Happy Birthday and Merry
Christmas.  She already bought my birthday present so
that is a no go.  I will work on paying it back. I would
like to get a Christmas present from her because I only
get a couple gifts.  I know it is better to give than to
receive, but I give a lot and like to receive a little too!
LOL
Nothing special for us today.  Sandwiches for lunch and
our leftovers from Pizzaville for supper.  I would have
loved to go to the Labor Day Picnic at the park and had
brats cooked on the grill and music.  I used to go to it.
The Labor Temple puts it on and the proceeds go to
charity.  They also have raffles.  Suz took mom to the
parade..no one offered for me to go along.  Oh well,
just another day in my boring life.  I will have to call
Louann and Bruce to see if we can get together
sometime soon.  I need to get out of the house and
going to their house is the only time I do.
I really cannot believe it is September already.  It is so
weird, I went back and looked at out thread for Sept
last year. There was annnieM and Mary Ann, still both
posting regularly.  It made me so sad.  I miss them and
I miss Kathy, Barb, Bubs, Hope,Debbie, Ayla and so on.
Why do they leave?  We had such a wonderful group here.
I want them to come back, lol.  I really do not like change
...I do my best with it, but I do not like it at all.
Time to read the e-mails.
Hugs,

No New Topic

Mornin'.

Yesterday was lazy and low key for us.  We had a

hamburger for lunch and snacks in the afternoon and

decided we didn't want our steak last night, so we'll

have it tonight instead.    It's supposed to get up to

the mid 80s today and again no rain predicted, so

 hopefully it will work out.

We started another TV Series "Marathon", compliments of Netflix ~~ "Grimm".   Watching the early episodes was fun.

Then last night, the movie made of the first Louise Penny book "Still Life" became available on Acorn, so we watched that.  You know how I love her books and when they announced they were making the movie well over a year ago, I was thrilled.   The characters they cast didn't fit my image initially, but the more I thought about the guy who played Inspector Lindley playing Inspector Gamache, the more I could 'see' it.  Not the way he looks so much as his mannerisms and gestures.  Now, I largely see him as Gamache when I'm reading.    Anyway, after all the early excitement about the movie, I heard nothing!   I didn't even see any reviews of the movie after it came out in Canada, so I assumed that it was a disappointment.  No matter, both Mike and I still wanted to see it, and we've been really looking forward to it.  For us, it did not disappoint.   Like every movie based on a book ~ the book is always better.  No surprise there.  To do it justice, you'd need at least a six hour mini-series, but for condensing the story into an hour and a half,  it really was pretty good.

As much as the story and characters in these books, the town and towns people of 'Three Pines' are an integral part of the books, and I was delighted to see that I recognized places before I was officially told what they were.  I love Three Pines.  I want to live there and eat half of my meals in The Bistro and spend half of my time in Myrna's New and Used Bookstore.    Anyway, it was a satisfying experience for both of us, and we want to watch it again in a week or so!

And that, my dears, tells you a lot about my life.  Two paragraphs on a made for TV movie.  LOL

No New Topic

I'm glad you got the book.   Please don't feel like you have to read it right away ~ just whenever you are in the mood.  I read so slowly these days and I have such a build-up on my own library shelves (both real and virtual) that I don't think I'd appreciate anyone thrusting a book at me and wanting me to read it right now and give a book report.  HA!  I just wanted to share something I really like with you, but if you are to enjoy it, you need to read it when you are in the mood for it.  If that isn't for a very long time, that's fine.

I do like the changes you made to the skin.  I really

liked the original tile, but it overwhelmed your lovely

header, and I always prefer a white background for

 the text.   Well  done!

I was concerned about your chair not being right.  I

really hope you will be able to adjust to it and sleep in

it.  Your family does so much for you and your mom,

but I have to tell you (don't be offended) that I

sometimes get really angry when they don't let you be

part of the decisions that effect you.  Sort of a

catch-22.  On the one hand, thank God they are the

re for you when you need them.  On the other hand

, they need to remember who they are being there

FOR.    Ok, hushing my big mouth now.    I'm well

aware that if Mike weren't here, I'd have to hire

everything done for me, and I'd probably have trouble

 finding someone to hire.

I feel the same way about our very little group.  I so

often think about annnieM and Bonnie and the others

and wish they were here.   I miss Mary Ann with her

funny stories and caring support so much.

My other little group has shrunk down to 5 members

, and only 4 of us are regular visitors.     This month's

skin shows the 5 of us ~ sort of.    Barb, the

Gardner, Shiela the Glamorous One, Me (I wish ~ ha!),

Faye, the only non-blond, and Corrina, the Kid

.  Background was going to be Back to School but I

couldn't find the tiles I wanted, so it became a

 Library.  Sort of.  Ha!

I hope you can get to Louann and Bruce's so you can

have some out of your house fun, soon!

Hugs,

TODAY IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY.  THE SUN ID SHINING, BEAUTIFUL BLUE SKY WITH PUFFY WHITE CLOUDS.  TEMP IS 74 AND THE HUMIDITY IS IN THE LOW 50'S.  I WISH EVERY DAYS WEATHER COULD BE LIKE THIS ONE.

I HATE THE CHAIR, BUT WHAT CAN I DO??  ONCE I HAVE IT PAID OFF I WILL LOOK FOR ONE I LIKE.  I CAN MOVE THE NEW ONE INTO THE LIVING ROOM AND REPLACE THIS OLD ONE I USE THAT IS LOOKING RATHER BEAT UP.  I WILL INSIST ON GOING TO GET THE NEXT ONE.  IT IS NOT CUSHY AT ALL AND IT IS TOO SHORT EVERY WHERE AND IT IS VERY TIPPY WHEN I SIT FORWARD IN IT.  IT COULD BE WORSE,SO I MAKE DO.  I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE SLEEPING IN THE LIVING ROOM AGAIN.  LET'S HOPE BEYOND HOPE THAT THE OLD CHAIR CAN BE REPAIRED.

YES, THIS BACKGROUND WORKS BETTER OVER ALL.  I ALSO LEARNED THAT WHEN I USE A TILE FOR THIS THREADS BACKGROUND, IT COVERS ALL THE AREA, BUT IF I JUST USE A COLOR, THEN THE WRITING AREA REMAINS WHITE.  THAT IS BEST ALL AROUND.  I WILL REMEMBER THAT IN THE FUTURE.

I KNOW THAT MY FAMILY TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ME.  I LET IT GO FOR THE MOST PART BECAUSE I NEED THEM AND IF I MAKE THEM MAD, THEN WHAT WILL I DO?  SUZ HAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ME BIG TIME.  I DO NOT THINK I TOLD YOU THAT SHE CALLED ONE DAY AND THEY NEEDED THE CAR TOWED AND SHE HAD MY CREDIT CARD AND WANTED TO KNOW IF THEY COULD USE IT.  I SAID YES, BUT DID NOT GET TO TALK TO HER ABOUT IT.  SO SHE CAN NOW LIST ME AS ONE OF THE PEOPLE SHE PROBABLY NEVER WILL PAY BACK.  ALSO WE WERE COMING BACK FROM HER TAKING ME TO THE CLINIC AND SAID SHE NEEDED GAS, BUT DID NOT THINK SHE HAD ANY MONEY.  THANK GOD I ONLY HAD A 10, BUT I GAVE IT TO HER.  I AM OK WITH THAT ONE AS SHE TAKES ME EVERY MONTH TO GET MY BLOOD CHECKED.  SO REALLY DO NOT MIND GIVING MONEY FOR GAS.  BUT I ALSO PUT 20 IN THE CAR SO I THINK FOR GAS I AM SET FOR A WHILE.  IT IS NOT TOO FAR TO THE CLINIC...MAYBE 2 MILES.

LET'S SEE, HOW QUICKLY CAN I BE IN COLORADO SO THAT I CAN ENJOY THOSE STEAKS ON THE GRILL WITH YOU AND MIKE.  I HOPETHEY ARE BIG ENOUGH TO  SHARE. LOL.  ACTUALLY MOM GOT US A COUPLE OF SMALL STEAKS TO HAVE...WISH WE HAD A GRILL.MAYBE I SHOULD ASK FOR ONE OF THOSE INDOOR GRILLS FOR CHRISTMAS.  DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT ONE THAT WAS GOOD??

WELL, HAVE TO SEE WHAT FACEBOOK AND EMAIL HAVE FOR ME TODAY.  HERE ARE A COUPLE OF NEW PICS.

SAILER

SAILER AND FINN. I USED THE DIAMOND LOADER AND NOW CANNOT SEPARATE THE PICS.  BUT IT WORKED, LOL.  IT OFTEN WILL WORK ONCE AND THEN NOT AGAIN, LOL.  OH WELL.  SEE YOU AROUND FACE BOOK.

HUGS,

Hello

Looks like another hot one today, 91 and no rain.  I think we are going out to lunch today and we can take the clean Lincoln (chuckle).  Nothing else planned.

We did have our rib eyes on the grill last night, and they were delicious.

Random Acts of Kindness ~~ I meant to tell you about an experience I had the other day.  I had ordered a sweater from a catalog and somehow (my fault or theirs) my address was wrong.  It showed the right house number but the wrong block ~ one block off.   So I'm sitting by the window and I see a car pull into the drive.  We don't get a lot of company so I watched as an older man got out with a package.  Could he be delivering for OnTrack in his own car or something?  I almost didn't answer the door, because they just ring the bell and leave the package, but I decided I should go to the door.   My package had been delivered to this man and he had taken the trouble to look up my name and address in the phone book and guess what had happened and deliver my package himself.    I know many (most?) of us might do that, but many would just mark it return to sender, or maybe even just throw it out.  I was so touched and impressed by his kindness.  With all the meanness, good people are still there.

smiley14

Oooh, more baby pictures!   Adorable!!

I'm so sorry the chair is not good ~~ and you are stuck with paying for something you don't like and don't want.  It's just not right.

I wish you could have joined us for dinner last night.  Mike ordered the rib eyes from one of the meat places he orders from and they were sooo good.   We had sweet potato fries with them.

We don't have an indoor grill, but we have a Pampered Chef Grill pan that is so easy to use and does such a nice job ~ and cleans easily.  You don't get the 'smoke', but it still works well when the weather outside doesn't allow grilling.

Have a happy day!

RE:SEPTEMBER SIGN IN
(Date Posted:09/03/2014 2:12 PM)

Another gorgeous day in Wisconsin, but tomorrow is supposed to be nasty...87 and high humidity.  We already decided we would put the AC on first thing in the morning before the temps gets high.  The rain is supposed to start in the night so it will probably be humid already.

Today I made salsa...my own version of it, lol.  The seasoning packs always seem to have jalapeno in them and I just cannot stand it.  Since I started doing the nebulizer treatments, and the inhalers, my mouth is very sensitive to spicy things.  Even my Italian dressing burns my mouth and tongue. So I added garlic powder to my tomatoes and onions that are chopped up. Also added salt (the only kind we have is lite salt).  Mom found a jar of pesto in the cupboard. I tested that and emptied it into my bowl.  Mixed it all up.  Added more garlic and salt and pronounced it delicious.  I  would eat it as a tomato salad.  Now I need to get some tortilla chips.

Now for the bad part of the day. I have been coughing more the last couple days and had a sore throat at night for the past few.  It hit fully this morning. My throat is tight and I feel like I have laryngitis.  Though do have a voice yet.  The tight throat is cutting the coughs off when they start, but when I do get stuff up it is yucky.  No where near as bad as last time.  Nothing to really go to the doctor with.  Just feeling a general crappiness and the throat is really irritating.  I will survive I suppose, lol.

I just love random acts of kindness. I very seldom get to do them.  The woman who used to live upstairs was visiting us and she told us that she had gotten a new job, but it is a 1/2 hour drive and she had no money for gas.  She called her soon to be ex and she was supposed to meet him at Salty's.  She had a water while waiting and her never came.  A man started talking to her saying she seemed sad so she told him why she was there.  The man gave her $20 for gas.  She does not even know his name, but it just shows there are still good people out there.

Well, time to hit the email and see if this weeks challenges are out.  I am hoping so.

Hugs,

And how are you today?

We are going to be more than 20 degrees cooler today than yesterday!   We reached 97 yesterday afternoon, and we should only see 74 today.

I had another one of those bad sleep nights last night.   That's two in a row, so tonight it's Benedryl time.

smiley34

Your salsa sounds delicious, Lou Ann.   I've never made it from scratch.

Oh, no!  That rotten cough coming back!  Is that because of the humidity and no AC, do you think?  I hope you can get on top of it before it "gets" you again.

Be healed and stay healthy!!

And a Cheery Good Afternoon to you!

It's positively brrrr-worthy today.  Fall is definitely in the air!   I got my hair cut and then we went to the Egg and I for breakfast.  Now I'm home with a nice cuppa and a visit with my friends, and Mike has a movie on the tv (background)

I AM HERE, BUT NOT FOR LONG.  I AM SICK AGAIN.

WHY ME??  HOW DO I KEEP GETTING SICK?  I RARELY GO OUT

AND NO ONE THAT COMES IN HAS BEEN SICK.  I JUST DO

NOT GET IT.  HAVE BARELY SLEPT THE LAST 2 NIGHTS AND

LAST NIGHT I HAD TO REMOVE THE  CPAP BECAUSE THE

COUGHING KEPT KNOCKING IT OUT OF PLACE AND IT WOULD

LEAK AND I OFTEN COULD NOT BREATH AS MY NOSE PLUGGED

UP.  LAST NIGHT I WAS SO OUT OF IT, I HAD TO BE RUNNING

A TEMP BUT I NEVER CHECKED IT.  MOM THOUGHT I WAS

GOING TO FALL OUT OF MY CHAIR BECAUSE I KEPT SITTING

FORWARD AND AS STRAIGHT UP AS I COULD TRYING TO GET

BETTER AIR FLOW.  I AM SO FULL OF SNOT AND WHEN I

RINSE MY SINUSES YOU SHOULD SEE THE CRAP THAT COMES

OUT.  AMAZING.

I HOPE YOU GET SOME SLEEP.  I KNOW I MADE TAGS FOR US.

I JUST DO NOT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE AT THE MOMENT, LOL

TODAY LIAM IS 5 MONTHS OLD.

HE IS SUCH A SMILEY BABY.

LOUANN CALLED ME THURSDAY TO GET TOGETHER...OF COURSE

BY THEN I WAS SICK.  I SAW THEY WENT OUT TO EAT AND BOTH

GIRLS AND BABIES WERE WITH THEM.  SO JEALOUS!!

OK, SAYING GOOD NIGHT AND HAVE A SATISFYING SATURDAY.

HUGS,

I FOUND ONE OF THE TAGS I MADE, LOL.

Morning My Lovley.

I finished my Inspector Gamache book this morning.  It was different than the earlier books, and yet somehow the same.  So well written and it held me completely.  I'm still analyzing how I feel about the ending.

I love my Kindle Paperwhite.  I woke too early but was still able to read without disturbing Mike.  Much I love about the Kindle BUT . . . . . when I've read a fair bit, it changes the focus of my eyes!  It took me 15 minutes or more to be able to read well on my laptop!

We watched "Still Life" (the Inspector Gamache movie) for the second time last night ~~~ and I fell asleep in the middle!  I hate when I do that, and I do it all too often.   Grrrr.

I'm really thinking I'm going to have to read the whole series again!   Recently on Facebook Louise Penny had everyone re-reading the series, spending two weeks on each book and then discussing the books as they read.  Of course I hadn't finished reading the series for the FIRST time yet, and we all know it's unlikely that I could read each book that quickly, BUT they left the discussions up online.  While I can't take part, I can read the discussions of each book if I like.    Of course I have several other books on my shelf that MUST be read for the first time before I go back to Three Pines for the second time.    Since I have a year to wait before the next book in the series comes out though, I just may go back to the beginning and start again.

It was quite cool and lovely yesterday and looks like it will be again today, but then tomorrow and Monday, back up into the 80s.    It was supposed to be hot and dry on Tuesday, but now it's showing cooler and rainy.  Not good, cuz we have the guy coming to wash and detail the other car on Tuesday morning.   Of course we won't really know what the weather is like until The Day, but fingers crossed.   The down side of getting the Chrysler cleaned and polished though is that then we won't be able to leave the house, with both cars clean and shiney.  LOL

Lou Ann, I hate that you have that miserable crud again!  Would a call to the Doctor's office be helpful?  Anything they could give you to speed your recovery?   You don't want to get so far down that you have too much trouble getting back up again!    I'm sure trying to sleep in your new "bed" isn't helping either.

I love the beautiful tags you made.   I'll wait to save it until you tell me I can, but it's just beautiful!  Thank you so much.

Adorable pictures of Liam.  I'm so sorry you couldn't go out with them.  Hopefully you will get and be able to use a rain check soon!

Hugs

JUST PEEPING IN TO SAY HELLO.

NO TIME TO  CHAT...JUST WANTED TO LET

YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE NOT CALLED ANYONE

BECAUSE THEY WILL WANT ME TO COME IN.

THEY WILL DO AN XRAY, AND IT IS NOT MY

CHEST...THE WHEEZINESS COMES FROM

THE PHLEGM IN MY THROAT.  I AM NOT SLEEPING

WELL AT ALL...I STILL HATE THAT CHAIR.  IT

JUST DOES NOT FIT ME.  I ALSO DO NOT BELIEVE

THEY GOT THE CHAIR AT A BARGAIN.  IT SEEMS

TO BE VERY CHEAPLY MADE TO ME.  WHEN IT

SIT FORWARD THE WHOLE CHAIR WOBBLES

AND IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE LEG

SECTION TO STAY DOWN.  ALSO IF I DRAW A LEG

UP AS I ALWAYS DID IN THE OTHER CHAIR THERE

IS A HARD RIDGE ACROSS THE CHAIR THAT DOES

NOT MAKE IT COMFORTABLE TO DO SO.

I WANT JERRY TO COME OVER AND SEE IT THE OLD

CHAIR IS REPAIRABLE.  I LOVE THAT CHAIR.  IT

WAS LIKE SLEEPING ON A CLOUD.  I WANT IT BACK.

I AM GOING NOW.  PRAY THAT I SLEEP TONIGHT.

HUGS, LOU ANN

and how are you today?
It's supposed to get up to 82 today with very little chance of rain or wind.

We have company coming in two weeks, Mike's sister and brother-in-law from California, just for the weekend.  I'm all stressed about having everything ready for them, but there isn't a whole lot I can do until we get into last minute territory.  So, I'm just stressing for the fun of it, I guess.  Ha.   In the past, we'd have been planning things to do ~ trips to the mountains, picnics, shopping ~ but neither of us is up for that, so while I can get the cleaning done and plan for feeding them, I'm not sure what to do with them.  Stress!  LOL
Then of course, I'll let everything go until the last minute and REALLY be in Stressville.  smiley76

I'm going to do that chicken and dressing crockpot meal for dinner tonight (and tomorrow), so my actual work load for today is pretty light.  Maybe a load of laundry.

Lou Ann I hate your chair!   I know I'm so out of line because I am not there doing anything for you, and I have no right to criticize those who are ~~ that said, they are not ALLOWED to buy something for you to use without YOU being there to ok or reject it, ever again!   Especially not something big that you can't just put into the rummage sale when nobody is looking and that you really NEED.

We have had our LazBoy chairs repaired more than once, and I really hope yours if fixable.  I apparently don't use my chair "right", because when it breaks it doesn't break like everyone else's does and they actually have to take a minute to figure out how to fix it.  Poor things.  Apparently you are supposed to only use them to lay back with your legs completely out ~ and I don't.   Since they are clearly designed to be used either way, I shouldn't have to justify using the chair the way I choose!  I like to leave the back more straight up and the legs only partially extended when I'm reading or watching TV.  If I have my laptop on my lap, I need my legs up higher, and if I want to rest or snooze, the back goes back and the legs go up higher.  That's the way it's designed, and that's the way I use it ~ so there!  Ha!   I'm rambling on because the fix may not be immediately clear, so I hope your 'fixer' looks at different possibilities.   This last time it was the gears, and he replaced a piece with gear cogs.  EzPz as long as he had the piece, and he did.

Do you know what kind of chair your original one was?  I will keep my fingers crossed that it can be fixed and the other one can be put somewhere for those who bought it to use and 'enjoy'.

Feel better soon, please.

Love 'n Hugs,

Dorothy
