Fiddle Dee Dee! I was all set to make a crockpot roast yesterday ~ and the roast was still frozen! We had taken it out of the freezer on Thursday and put it in the fridge in the garage to thaw. Guess that fridge must be pretty good, cuz it still wasn't fully thawed. Fish and Chips (courtesy of Omaha Steaks last sale) for dinner, and the roast is ready to make today.

The Fiddle Dee-Dee? I just bought the kindle version of 'Gone with the Wind' for $1.99. Probably too heavy for summer reading, but it will be great to have on my virtual book shelf for when the time is right. I haven't read it for prob'ly 50 years. Oh, Lord, does that make me sound old?! Ah, well. The facts are the facts. I'm coming up on a definitely over-the-hill birthday in July. lol

Have a lovely day, all!

HELLO CUPPA'S

I WAS HERE YESTERDAY, BUT LOST MY POST AND THEN

MY TEMPER, SO I LEFT.  GOING TO TRY IT AGAIN :)

I AM FINISHED.  I FINALLY GOT ALL MY LETTERS AND

TAGS DONE.  EVEN THE ONES I PROMISED A PERSON

THAT MISSED THE WEEKEND BECAUSE OF AN EMERGENCY

AND I TOLD HER I WOULD GLADLY MAKE HER ANY OF

MINE SHE WOULD LIKE.  SHE PICKED MOST OF THEM!!

THE PAIN ABOUT THAT IS SETTING UP THE FONTS, COLORS,

BEVELS AND DROP SHADOWS FOR EACH ONE.  NEXT YEAR

I SHOULD TRY TO KEEP THE BEVEL AND DROP SHADOW

THE SAME ON ALL....IT WOULD BE A LOT SIMPLER IN THE

LONG RUN.  I WILL TRY TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO SHOW

YOU ALL MY LETTERS AS I DO NOT THINK YOU ALL ARE

USING INCREDIMAIL ANY MORE.  OFTEN THE TAGS ARE

A MUCH SIMPLER VERSION OF THE HEADER OR SIDE BORDER.

I WILL HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT.  IF YOU ALL HAD IT, I

COULD SHARE THE IMF AND YOU COULD DOWNLOAD THEM.

MAYBE I CAN GET SCREEN SHOTS OF THEM.

DOROTHY, I SEE YOU HAVE BEEN KEEPING THE HOME

FIRES BURNING.  WE HAVE NO PLANS FOR TOMORROW

EITHER, NOT EVEN SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT.  MY

SISTER DID GET MY MOM OUT TO THE CEMETERY

ON FRIDAY AND THEY PUT NEW ARRANGEMENTS ON

MY DAD AND BROTHERS GRAVES.  BOTH HAVE SHEPHERDS

HOOKS TO HANG THEM ON.  MY DADS IS A HEART AND

MY BROTHERS IS A HOOK.  WE USUALLY KEEP WIND

CHIMES ON THEM :)  THEY PUT SOME PATRIOTIC

FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS.

I DID THE BATHROOM YESTERDAY INCLUDING THE FLOOR.

I STARTED TO DO THE KITCHEN FLOOR TODAY ONLY TO

FIND THAT OUT SQUEEZE MOP MUST HAVE GOTTEN

THROWN AWAY.  MY NEPHEW BENT IT AND IT BROKE

IN HALF (THE HANDLE) THE LAST TIME I CLEANED THE

FLOOR.  I MADE A POINT OF TELLING MOM TO KEEP IT

AS IT WAS FINE THE WAY IT WAS, WITH SITTING ON

MY WHEELED STOOL I AM MUCH CLOSER TO THE FLOOR.

I CANNOT FIND IT ANYWHERE...MOM HAS NO MEMORY OF

IT BREAKING OR ANYTHING AND I HONESTLY THINK SHE

THREW IT AWAY.  HER SHORT TERM MEMORY HAS GOTTEN

REALLY BAD...THOUGH SHE CAN RECALL LONG TERM

THINGS PRETTY WELL, LOL.  SO NOW WAITING FOR MY SISTER

TO PICK UP SOME SOLUTION AND PADS FOR THE SWIFFER CLEANER.

I REALLY PREFER THE SQUEEZE TYPE SPONGE MOP FOR DECENT

CLEANING.  I FEEL LIKE SWIFFER ONLY SKIMS THE SURFACE.

ANY HOW, IT WILL ALL PROBABLY HAVE TO WAIT TILL TOMORROW

NOW.  WITH MY VISION IT WILL BE TOO DARK IN THERE SOON.

YUMMMMM, I SMELL THE MEATLOAF.  IT MUST BE ALMOST DONE.

SO HAPPY WE ARE HAVING IT FOR SUPPER.  YOU KNOW I LOVE

IT AND THE SANDWICHES I WILL HAVE AFTER :)  THE JOYS

OF LEFTOVERS...I KNOW HOW MUCH WE BOTH APPRECIATE

THOSE, LOL.  I WANTED MEATLOAF EVER SINCE YOU MADE

IT A BIT AGO.  MOM READ MY MIND AND SHE IS NOT MUCH OF

A FAN SO AM ALWAYS HAPPY WHEN WE HAVE IT.  WHEN WE

WERE LITTLE AND MONEY WAS VERY TIGHT, MOM MADE IT

ONCE A WEEK AND I REMEMBER IT HAVING BREAD IN IT AS

A FILLER TO MAKE IT GO FARTHER.  I ACTUALLY LOVE IT THAT

WAY.  IF YOU ASK MOM, SHE WILL TELL YOU THAT SHE NEVER

DID THAT, BUT I REMEMBER IT SO CLEARLY.  TOO FUNNY.

WELL, GOING TO SIGN OFF FOR SUPPER.  SEE YOU ALL

TOMORROW.

Freedom Is Not Free

- Kelly Strong

I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
and then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free.

I heard the sound of TAPS one night,
When everything was still
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That TAPS had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.

Aimoo has seen fit to screw up my access to my hard drive ~ I can reach some of my pictures and images, but not all, so I can't get to Patriotic tags.

Lou Ann, good to see you again.   I used Incredimail eons ago but it screwed up my sysem so I haven't tried it since.  I know how pretty the stationery can be, and I'll bet yours is really lovely.  Anyway, I'm glad you were able to get everything done, and I know everyone loves the things you made for them.

I did get my roast made yesterday with carrots and Dutch baby potatoes, and it was delicious if I do say so myself ~ and best of all, two more days of meals all cooked and ready to heat and eat!

I used a swiffer floor cleaner years ago and it left things streaky so I got rid of it.  I hope you can get your squeeze mop replaced.   I use Bona wood floor cleaner on a Rubbermaid mop with a head you can throw in the wash, and that works well for me.  I even got Marcela using one after I asked her not to leave the wood floors so wet.

We aren't going to the cemetaries this year, again.  I do miss it, but we can't walk decently on the uneven ground and we can't really care for the roses we planted so many years ago on my Grandmother, Aunt and Uncle's plots.  My brother is at Ft Logan National Cemetary, and all you can do is leave flowers which are picked up right after Memorial Day.   We just can't get 'there' from 'here' anymore, and I know if we just drove through both cemetaries it would make me feel worse.

Ah, Meatloaf is the perfect Memorial Day meal ~ and I do love those sandwiches, too!

Have a lovely Memorial Day!

Love 'n Hugs,

Dorothy

HELLO MY FRIENDS

I SCREWED UP THE KITCHEN FLOOR.  I USED AN ACRYLIC

COAT AFTER I WASHED IT AS IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES

THAT OLD FLOOR SHINE.  BUT IT LOOKED DULL.  THEN I FOUND

THE STUFF I SHOULD HAVE USED.  THE ONE I DID USE MY SISTER

HAS BOUGHT AT THE FAMILY DOLLAR....CHEAP SHIT!!!  SO I DECIDED

TO GO OVER IT WITH THE GOOD STUFF...PUT OUT BY PLEDGE.  BUT

THAT WAS A MISTAKE.  IT DID NOT GLIDE OVER THAT COATING

VERY WELL AT ALL AND LOOKS QUITE STREAKY.  MOM THINKS

IT LOOKS GREAT BUT I SEE ALL THE STREAKS.  I WILL HAVE TO

WAIT TILL SOME OF THE FINISH WEARS OFF BEFORE I WASH

AND COAT IT AGAIN.  I AM SO IRRITATED WITH MYSELF.

SHAKE IT OFF LOU!!  LOL

CRAPPY WEATHER HERE TODAY.  GOD WEPT FOR ALL THAT

HAVE GIVEN THEIR ALL.

IT IS MY SISTER JOANNE'S BIRTHDAY TODAY.  55 YEARS YOUNG.

SHE CAME INTO TOWN AND PICKED UP CHINESE AND HER

OLDEST , BRENT, JOINED US HERE AND WE CELEBRATED HER

BIRTHDAY.  NOT ONE ELSE SEEMED INTERESTED AND SHE

DID NOT EVEN TELL HER 2 YOUNGEST THAT WE WERE DOING

IT.  SHE SAID THEY DID NOT SEEM INTERESTED IN HER

BIRTHDAY AS THEY WERE PLANNING ON GOING FISHING, ETC.

SHE SAYS IT IS JUST ANOTHER DAY, BUT I DO NOT LIKE THAT

AT ALL.  IT SHOULD BE CELEBRATED.

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE MEATLOAF AND HAD A

BRAUNSCHWEIGER  SANDWICH FOR SUPPER.  I CANNOT

BELIEVE IT, LOL.  I AM REALLY FALLING APART.

MY SISTER SUZ AND HUBBY JERRY GOT THE GARDEN IN LAST

NIGHT.  SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES OF TOMATO PLANTS

AND A COUPLE OF PEPPER PLANTS.  NOT SURE IF WE WILL

ADD ANYTHING ELSE.

I WAS READING ABOUT DIAMOND STATUS AND IT IS NOT REALLY

TOO EXPENSIVE TO GO THAT ROUTE.  I WAS VERY TEMPTED TO

PAY FOR 3 OR 6 MONTHS BUT NO ONE IS EVEN COMING HERE

SO I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS WORTH IT.  SURE WAS A LOT EASIER

NOT HAVING TO USE PHOTOBUCKET AND IT WOULD MAKE MY

LIFE SO MUCH SIMPLER WHEN DOING THE MONTHLY PAGE.

THAT ALONE MIGHT MAKE IT WORTHWHILE TO INVEST IN.  I

WILL SLEEP ON IT.

THEY SAY WARMER WEATHER IS COMING.  IT HAS BEEN IN THE

5O'S THE LAST FEW DAYS.   I AM CHILLED.

CHECK IN ON ALL TOMORROW.

DOROTHY, ENJOY THOSE LEFTOVERS!!!

HUGS,

Good morning, Lovlies.
Looks like another lovely day here, not quite as warm as

the last several days have been, but still a high of 78.

Yesterday it was in the mid-80s but the wind was awful.

Had coffee on the front porch for a while but had to come

 back inside.

They changed our mowing day to Monday (Boo! Bad!) but

couldn't do it yesterday because of the holiday, so they

should mow today. Then tomorrow it's supposed to drop

to the high 60s and rain. We may not be sitting on the

porch for a while.

Thought I'd share some pics of the pots we planted.

For years I used my "signature colors" of purple, hot pink

and red and I still love that combination, but these really

are bright and cheery. I deliberately over-planted them

because last year's pots seemed a bit 'under planted'

even though I'd used more than the directions say you

should. Mike says they look like an "English garden in

a pot" ~ lol

Tonight our Neighborhood Association is sponsoring a

meeting hosted by local law enforcement on Identity

Theft, and we are planning to go. It's in the Methodist

Church which is next to our development. In the past

they've had meetings there and it's been a hard walk for

Mike from the parking lot to the auditorium. This is

supposed to be in the chapel which I'm hoping is closer.

As you know, we usually don't attend anything, so

we'll see how this works.

Ah, Lou Ann, I feel your pain.   It's one thing to have the

floor look like it needs cleaning, but to go to all the hard

work of cleaning it and still not have it look good ~ that

 hurts!

I agree ~ I think it's awful that your sister's family didn't

celebrate her double nickle birthday with her!   I don't

understand people not celebrating the one da in the year

that is about "you"!   I'm glad she didn't feel bad ~ if she

truly didn't feel bad and wasn't just covering.  Good for

Brent coming to celebrate his mom's special day.   Being

the mean person I am, I would "forget" the rest of their

next birthdays and see how they like it.

I paid for the Diamond Status for the other group myself

this last time.  Usually someone else will kick in.   I r

eally love being able to download directly from my PC.

I don't know how we'd go about it here.  The owner has

to 'buy' it, but she can use the funds that everyone has

contributed to the 'chest'.  The problem I think might

exist is that early on annnieM, who is the owner, made

herself just an Admin.  I think she'd have to work with

Aimoo to have her made 'owner' again so she could buy

the Diamond membership.   I could be wrong ~ I have

been before.  lol    Anyway, I don't think you or I could

 just buy it ourselves.

Enjoy your meatloaf sandwich today!

Have a great week everyone!

Really large, golden full moons lately. I can't get a GOOD picture for some reason, but trust me ~ they are pretty.

Moon over Denver ~

It really was quite golden.

As long as I'm showing pics, this is about as close as my kids get unless the Shogun has Chrystie pinned down.

Neighborhood meeting on Identity theft was pretty good. A lot of reminders of things we know, and a few things we didn't know. We really do have some nice neighbors.

Several of them are going on Thursday to protest the new property evaluations. Houses of similar size and previous evaluation in our little neighborhood ~ some of them went up and some went down. Ours went up by $40K! Barbara's next door went up a staggering amount. Gasp worthy! I hope their protest makes a difference.

Night-night, all.

See you in the morning.

DJ

Rainy Days and Hump Days
Yup. It's raining. That's ok. We weren't planning to go anywhere today anyway. They mowed yesterday and we always used to give the lawn a good post cut sprinkle.

I must have slept hard. Mike said it thundered a lot during the night but I didn't hear it. (About darned time I got a good night's sleep!)

Since it's a holiday week, they won't pick up trash until tomorrow. I have a haircut in the AM, so we'll take the can to the curb then.

In the other group two people said that my post with the pictures of the flowers is scrolling.   I can't see it, but I'm going to take the border off in that group and see if it works.    Let me know if it's scrolling here, too.  Really hard to fix something when you can't see the problem.   I'm sure it's because we are all using different browsers.

My niece sent this picture of Jack this morning.
I'm prejudiced, of course, but i thought it was kinda cute.

Not quite 1 year old and already weeding.

Of course the next picture shows him eating the dirt . . . . lol

Have a Happy Hump Day!

WELL HELLO THERE CUPPA GALS...

I DID PUT A TAG ABOVE THIS BUT I AM HAVING TROUBLE W/AIMOO ONCE AGAIN...
I GOT A CLUE FROM ONE OF MY OTHER GROUPS TO WHY 'CUPPA GALS' SITE IS SOO HUGE...
SEEMS YOU ALL HAVE THE SIZE SET FOR 'WIDE SCREEN MONITORS' OF WHICH I DON'T HAVE...
I DON'T KNOW WHEN I'LL BE ABLE TO GET ONE EITHER UNTIL LATER SOME TIME...

EVERYTHING IS THE SAME AROUND HERE ANN HAS RETIRED BUT SHE WILL BE GOING ON
VACATION SOMETIME IN JUNE AND I'M HOPING TO GET A LITTLE SOMETHING FROM HER THEN...
SHE'S ASKING IF I COULD NOT CHARGE HER FOR THE TIME SHE IS GONE BUT I THINK I WILL ASK
HER FOR HALF OF THE MONEY SO AT LEAST I GET A SMALL EXTRA BIT OF MONEY...I'M JUST NOW
TRYING TO GET OVER 'SINUS INF. FROM HELL, BRONCHITIS, AND 2ND. INF.' IT WAS REALLY ROUGH...
WHEW!!!

DOROTHY...

DON'T YA JUST HATE IT WHEN THINGS DON'T THAW OUT??? BUT HEY IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER
IF IT'S THAWED OUT WHEN YOU PUT IT IN THE CROCK-POT DOES IT??? SEEMS I REMEMBER THE BOOK
SAYING IT DOESN'T MATTER...JUST PUT IT ON LOW SLOW COOK ALL DAY LONG...I BELIEVE THAT WOULD
TAKE CARE OF IT...I WILL CHECK IN MY BOOK...THANK GOODNESS YOU HAD A BACK-UP...AND AS SCARLET
SAYS..."TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY"...LOL...smiley76

A COPY OF 'GWTW' FOR $1.99 ISN'T IT JUST FANTASTIC WHAT YOU CAN PICK-UP A BOOK FOR NOW A DAYS!!!
THAT SHOULD MAKE GOOD READING FOR THIS WINTER IN FRONT OF YOUR FIREPLACE I CAN JUST SEE YOU
NOW PICTURE IS VERY 'KEWL'...DO YOU MEAN YOU'LL BE '65' IN JULY??? IN AUGUST I WILL BE '65' A REAL
HONEST TO GOD SENIOR CITIZEN...smiley10 OMG...

LOU ANN...

OMG!!! HI THERE LOU ANN SORRY 'AIMOO' IS HAVING IT'S WAY WITH YOU TOO...
I SEEM TO HAVE A SIGN ON MY BACK THAT SAYS 'MESS WITH ME'!!! YEP I DO DECLARE...
GLAD YOU GOT ALL YOUR TAGS & LETTERS DONE...OMG!!! I DO HOPE THAT SIGGY PIGGY
WASN'T ME!!! IF SO LOU ANN I NEVER MEANT YOU TO HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE DON'T
WORRY ABOUT IT IF IT'S ME...ALSO THERE'S NEVER A TIME LINE WHEN I REQUEST A TAG...
WHENEVER YOU GET TO ANY OF THEM IS FINE WITH ME, SENDING ME TWO AT A TIME IS
JUST FINE TOO...NO RUSH TO SEND THEM ALL AT ONCE...

HEY PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THE WAY YOU DO YOUR TAGS, THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL...
MAYBE SAVE THEM ALL ON A 'DVD' SO THAT YOU CAN JUST LOAD THE DISK IN AND PICK AND
CHOOSE WHICH TAG YOU WISH TO DO OVER...THEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP THEM ALL ON
YOUR 'PC' YOU CAN KEEP THEM IN A CONTAINER MARKED 'TAG_BLANKS' FOR EASY REACH...

WELL I'M GLAD YOU WERE ABLE TO GET OUT TO THE CEMETERY TO THE GRAVE SITES, THAT IS
ONE THING I DIDN'T GET TO BECAUSE OF MY HEALTH...HOOKS!!! HOW COOL I WONDER IF WE'RE
ALLOWED TO PUT THOSE IN WHERE MY MOM & DAD ARE BURIED THAT'S SOMETHING I THINK
I WILL LOOK INTO...WIND CHIMES I THINK MY MOM WOULD REALLY LOVE ONE OF THOSE AND
MAYBE I CAN FIND A FISH WIND CHIME FOR DAD...

I MOPPED MY KITCHEN FLOORS AND THE DINNING ROOM AS WELL, TOOK ME ALL DAY JUST TO
GO OVER THEM WITH MY STEAMER...MY FLOORS LOOK REALLY POORLY THEY NEED TO BE STRIPPED
PROFESSIONALLY AND THEN ABOUT 3-4 LAYERS OF TREATMENT ON THE FLOOR...THERE CLEAN BUT
YUCKY LOOKING!!!

OMG!!! HOW FUNNY YEP THE MOP GOT DUMPED IN THE TRASH MY SOME WELL MEANING
PERSON, WHO THEN FORGOT TO BUY A NEW ONE TO REPLACE IT...

LOU ANN ONE DAY WHEN YOU CAN AFFORD IT INVEST IN A STEAMER, ONE THAT HAS PARTS FOR
ALL THE JOBS YOU WANT TO DO...I KNOW OF A REALLY GREAT ONE BUT I TOO HAVE SHORT TERM
MEMORY PROBLEMS AND AT THE MOMENT I CAN'T RETRIEVE THE NAME FROM MY BRAIN!!!

THEY ARE WORTH THERE WEIGHT IN GOLD FOR CLEANING EVERYTHING IN YOUR HOUSE INCLUDING
LAMINATE WOOD FLOORING, LAMINATE FLOORS, PORCELAIN TILES, TUBS, GLASS DOORS, AND WINDOWS...
STOVES, OVENS, SINKS
, REFRIGERATORS, FREEZERS. CUPBOARDS OF ALL KINDS, ANYTHING THAT NEEDS CLEANING
REALLY DON'T BUY JUST A HAND HELD ONE WHICH WAS MY FIRST MISTAKE ALTHOUGH IT IS PERFECT FOR SMALL
JOBS OF ALL KINDS I BOUGHT THIS ONE BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT, BUT I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT THAT IF YOU
PURCHASE THE ONE WITH ALL THE ATTACHMENTS IT'S A TOTAL WORK HORSE AND NOT REALLY THAT HEAVY...
IT EVEN HAS THE TRIANGLE HEAD FOR CLEANING IN THE BATHROOMS...THEY FANTASTIC THING ABOUT THESE
STEAMER'S IS THAT THEY DISINFECT WHATEVER YOU CLEAN...THE NEW ONES EVEN HAVE DIFFERENT TEMPS
FOR DIFFERENT FLOORS IF YOU'D LIKE TO CHOOSE THEM...YOU ALSO DON'T HAVE TO USE ANY CHEMICALS
TO KEEP YOUR FLOORS CLEAN, JUST THE STEAM DOES THE JOB...WATCH ONE OF THE PROMO'S ON THE
TV SOME TIME...MEANWHILE I WILL TRY TO GET THE ONE OUT OF MY BRAIN FOR YA...

OMG!!! YOU HAVE MEATLOAF COOKING I AM IN THE MOOD FOR MEATLOAF TONIGHT AND HAVE NO
MEAT TO MAKE ANY...I WILL JUST THINK OF YOU EATING YOURS TONIGHT...I LOVE BREAD IN
MY MEATLOAF TOO MY MOM MIXED EGGS, MILK, BREAD CRUMBS, SALT & PEPPER, AND DRIED ONION
FLAKES IN THE MIXTURE, THEN TOP IT ALL OFF WITH HINES KETCHUP!!! YUMMMMMM YUMMMMMM...

DOROTHY...

HI THERE GIRL FRIEND GLAD TO SEE YA TODAY...
A STEAM CLEANER DOESN'T LEAVE THE FLOOR WET THEIR GREAT THAT WAY...
DOROTHY I'M IN THE SAME BOAT I HAVE TO USE MY CANE AND LEAN ON SOMEONE'S
ARM...MY CEMETERY THE GRAVES ARE LIKE ON A SLOPE AND IT'S ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS
TO WALK ON THEM BESIDES THE HOLES FROM CRITTERS FROM TIME TO TIME...I HEAR YA
ABOUT THE UNEVEN GROUND, SAME HERE...BUT I REMEMBER MY MOM SAYING THAT NO
ONE WOULD VISIT HER GRAVE AFTER SHE DIED WELL SHE WASN'T QUITE RIGHT WE GO
FROM TIME TO TIME BUT NOT OFTEN ENOUGH AND I KNOW SHE WOULD BE SAD SO I
AM GOING TO EITHER DRIVE THEIR MYSELF OR ASK MY BROTHER TO TAKE ME IF HE
DOESN'T MIND...

LOU ANN...

WELL DON'T YA JUST KNOW THAT IT WOULD BE THE CHEAP $ STORE STUFF THAT YOU PICKED UP...
WHEN YOU DO FLOORS YOU REALLY WANT THE GOOD STUFF...THE CHEAP STUFF USUALLY DOESN'T
WIND UP LEAVING A CLEAR COAT OVER YOUR FLOOR AS WELL AS LEAVING WHAT YOU DON'T WANT
AND THAT IS STREAKS...I HAVEN'T FINISHED MY FLOOR LIKE I SAID IT NEEDS TO BE STRIPPED BUT
AT LEAST IT IS SQUEAKY CLEAN AND THERE'S NO RESIDUE LEFT ON THE FLOORS...YOU CAN REALLY
TELL WHEN YOU WALK BARE FOOTED ON THE FLOORS...I'M SO SORRY YOU WENT TO ALL THAT
TROUBLE AND RUINED YOUR FLOORS THAT REALLY TICKS ME OFF TOO...NOW LIKE YOU SAID
YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR SOME OF IT TO WEAR OFF BEFORE YOU TRY TO FIX THE FLOORS...

I KNOW MY WEATHER HAS BEEN GLOOMY & DOOMY W/LITTLE PEAKING SUN AND RAIN...YUK...
EXCEPT WE NEED THE RAIN, SO I CAN'T COMPLAIN...

A BIRTHDAY TO CELEBRATE I'M GLAD YOU ALL GOT TO GET TOGETHER AND HAVE A GOOD DINNER...
TELL YOU SISTER JOANNE HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ME AND I'M GLAD HER FRIEND BRENT MADE IT TO
DINNER TOO...I AGREE NOBODY'S BIRTHDAY SHOULD BE IGNORED...BAD PEOPLE!!!

HEY LOU ANN HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE US AS A DIAMOND GROUP??? RIGHT NOW I
WOULD HAVE A ROUGH TIME DONATING BUT I THINK WE ALL SHOULD GO TOGETHER AND
DONATE SO WE CAN BE UPGRADED...I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH IT COST!!! I WOULD
HAVE TO COLLECT BOTTLES & CANS BUT I WOULD TRY TO DO THAT JUST TO GET US TO THE
DIAMOND MEMBERSHIP...WE COULD JUST INSERT OUR IMAGES IN LIKE BEFORE WITHOUT ALL
THE HASSLES WITH 'PHOTO BUCKET' AND THE LIKE...

DOROTHY...

HI DOROTHY...LOVE THE PHOTOS OF THE MOON OVER DENVER I LOVE ALL YOUR VIEWS OUT YOUR
WINDOWS...YOUR CATS ARE ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE, AND THE SECOND PHOTO OF SHOGUN IT'S
CAPTION SHOULD READ..."REALLY???...REALLY" HOW FUNNY IS HE...

GOOD GRIEF SOUNDS LIKE THE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING GROUP NEEDS TO REALLY HOP ONTO THIS
NEW AND 'BETTER' WAY OF EVALUATING THE HOUSES...'THAT MAKES NO SENSE'...

WEDNESDAY HAPPY OVER THE HUMP DAY...WELL THE WEATHER HERE IS IFFY IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN...
GLOOMY, DOOMY, DAY W/PEAKING SUN ONCE AGAIN...THE TEMPS WENT BACK DOWN AGAIN SO I HAVE
THE WINDOWS CLOSED WAITING FOR THE SUN TO WARM UP THE DAY!!! GLAD YOU GOT A GOOD NIGHT'S
SLEEP FOR ONCE...YEP I SLEEP THROUGH THUNDER STORMS ONCE I GET TO SLEEP I ONLY WAKE UP ONCE
OR TWICE HOPEFULLY UNLESS I'M REALLY HAVING TROUBLE STAYING ASLEEP...

I DON'T CARE WHEN THEIR PICKING UP THE TRASH, I'M PUTTING IT OUT THURSDAY NIGHT FOR PICK-UP
ON FRIDAY MORNING I THINK I WILL BE ALRIGHT ONCE AGAIN...GARBAGE & RECYCLE CANS WILL BOTH
GO OUT TO THE CURB...ONCE I HIT 65 I WILL REALLY GET A SENIOR CITIZENS DISCOUNT THAT WILL
TAKE MY PICK-UP FROM ALMOST 70.00 BI-MONTHLY TO A SMALL $9.OO-10.00 IT WILL BE SWELL...

I LOVE THE NEW PICTURES OF JACK WOW!!! IS HE GROWING UP FAST THE LITTLE GUY...YEP LOOKS
LIKE HE'S A REGULAR BOY!!! EATING DIRT IS PAR FOR THE COURSE...BY THE WAY YOUR FLOWER PIX'S
ARE GORGEOUS AND NOT SCROLLING FOR ME THEY ARE NICE AND STATIONERY...I THINK YOU DID A
GREAT JOB ON THE PLANTING & I REALLY DON'T THINK YOU CAN HAVE TOO MUCH IN THOSE PLANTERS...
YES THEY LOOK LIKE COUNTRY GARDENS IN A POT, TELL MIKE HE'S DEAD ON...

WELL THEY MAKE IT SO EASY SOUNDING TO BECOME DIAMOND THE QUOTE "JUST SEND MONEY" YOU KNOW...
I DON'T UNDERSTAND ALL THE STUFF ON THE 'AIMOO HELP PAGE' AT ALL BUT THAT'S WHAT I NOTICED
WHEN I WENT THERE...ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY...NO DUH!!!.....

Hello ladies

Yes, Dorothy, your post was wider than forever, lol.

I edited it, I hope you do not mind.  It is a border that

keeps expanding and you used the automatic jump to

next line.  Which means no next line in the type set up.

So I just had to go in and enter at the end of each line

in a size compatible to our page.  I hope you under-

stand what I am saying, lol.

Your flowers look wonderful and as they grow and fill

in they will look fantastic.  I love an overflowing pot

of flowers and really like the colors.  Awww, look at

those angels sleeping on the couch.  By the way, I

love that couch.  Aww, Jack just keeps getting cuter.

Glad you were able to manage the meeting.  Hope it

was not too hard on Mike.

Hey Mary Ann, happy to hear from you.  Sorry that you

had to deal with a sinus infection, they are certainly

no fun at all.  Ann should definitely pay you for taking

care of her dogs and home while she is on vacation.

If she cannot afford to then she should stay home.

She knows your situation and should be more than

willing to pay you...I just cannot believe that she

asked you to do it for nothing.  When I stayed at

my friends home to take care of their dog and home

it was like a vacation for me.  They have a pool that

I used.  They brought my recliner to their home so

I had it to sit and sleep in.  They got in foods I liked

and made sure I had plenty for meals.  They brought

me home a gift from their vacation and still gave me

$100.00 for the time I spent there.  They would not

hear of me not taking it.  Ann needs to compensate

you somehow.  I just do not understand how she is

thinking.

My mom is getting a transfusion tomorrow.  She

dropped from 9.7 last week to 8.7 this week.  That was

a fast drop.  She did not even feel the effects this time.

She is with my sister Diane doing ARC Bingo at our

Church tonight.  Diane is off for a funeral tomorrow so

she will take mom to the hospital for the transfusion.

Joanne will use her lunch hour to pick mom up and

bring her home.  I will have the morning to my self.  I

am going to start working on my room.

I hope we hear from GrannnieM soon and get some

pictures of Henry.  I really am worried about her.

Hugs,

Mornin' all.

Started the morning with a haircut.  I think it's a good haircut, but styled "fluffy".  Looking at me from the side in the car, Mike said it looked good.  It's really windy out.  Later when we came into the house, he looked at me and burst out laughing ~ said the wind really did a number on my hair.    I went into the bathroom to fix it, and realized that it wasn't the wind, it was Sharyl.  That's the way I left the salon.  LOL
We ran a few errands and then came home ~ where we got lots of deliveries we needed to take in and open.  I think we still have a couple more we're expecting today.   (I have mentioned that we shop online a lot more than we shop in brick and mortar buildings, haven't I?)
Tonight we're going to the Brairwood Tavern for their appetizer tray and a drink. We'll take some of their sirloin sliders home as carry out, and have them for dinner tomorrow. Aren't we smart??

On the way home, we can swing by the meat market and pick up some ribs for me to make in the crockpot on Saturday. I'm all about making things easy! Ha.

Well, darn. I know I've used that border before, and I like it. I can't imagine why it screwed up my post. I'll maybe try posting something with it in a new thread and see if somehow I can fix it ~ I'll need your help because as I said, it looks fine to me. Way to hard to fix something when you can't see what's wrong.
In any case, thank you for fixing it Lou Ann. Now it looks to me like it is double spacing ~ does it look that way to you, too? Before it looked pretty much like this post does to me ~ single spaced and fine. You'll have to let me know if THIS one looks hinkey! LOL

Yes, don't my kids look sweet?   Looks can be soooo deceiving. smiley51

Mike did well at the meeting.  It was in the chapel rather than the auditorium where they have had meetings before.  That is a loooong walk.  The Chapel is right up front.   I sat near a blower and darn near froze to death, but still it was good.    I may post some of the tips we got in another thead for us later.  Of course most were things we knew (whether we do them or not) but there were a few new good ideas too.

Is your mom still experiencing the 'leakage' in her legs?   I'm so sorry she is still needing transfusions after all she went through to hopefully help the situation.

I share your concern for annnieM............

Mary Ann, I'm so sorry you are still having trouble posting.   Your post looks fine to me ~ but obviously I'm not seeing what many of the rest of you are seeing.   Frustrating.

I agree with Lou Ann.   I can't imagine why Ann would ask you to dog and house sit for her and not think she should pay you.   I'm sure her retired income is not what her working income was ~ whose is?!   That doesn't change YOUR need to earn money.  You do way more than just a friend running in and letting the dogs out once a day!

Oh, my dear, I will be ever so much older than a mere child of 65.   I will attain three quarters of a century in July!  No wonder I'm fallin' apart.  smiley53

You can tell I had 15 or more years of having our shades drawn and only having a view of our neighbor's houses, can't you.  I can't stop taking pictures ~ lol.   I really do love being able to have the windows uncovered.  Of course the sun puts a glare on the TV in the "Man Cave" so Mike still keeps them mostly down much of the day.  I understand, but . . Sigh.  I 'live' in the little Morning Room during much of the day.   I crave windows I can see out of.    In the back, the trees are beginning to fill in, and soon I will have my "Tree House" effect ~ assuming Mike will occasionally raise the shades!

What a cool thing that you can get a serious discount on trash pick up when you attain Senior Status!   That's the way things ought to be!

Ah, see?  You could see my post as I could ~ but several others could not.   It's so frustrating, cuz how can you fix something when we are all seeing DIFFERENT things?   Grumble. Grumble.

Waving joyfully at everyone.   smiley71   Have a spectacular day!

Hello my friends.

It's the last day of May. Can you believe it?
Looks lie another lovely day, but I haven't seen weather reports yet.

We did get to the Briarood and had a fun 'meal' of appetizers. Two disappointments ~ they switched to their "Summer Menu" and no longer have the delicious sirloin sliders we had been looking forward to as carry-out, and they will only have the appetizer tray on Tuesday instead of Tuesday through Thursday. Not really a big deal, so I guess I won't complain. That really is a fun night out every once in a while. Different.

Have a great day, all.
