O

Happy May Day!

We woke up to about two inches of snow ~ and it's still coming down. Almost blizzard, and rather beautiful, actually.

It appears my problem with the spacing on Aimoo is still with us.  The delete key acts like a return key, moving text down the page.   The Backup key works somewhat.   I'm afraid to even try to change anything ~ and when I try to insert a picture, I can only open up the first level of my picture file, not the one where the actual pictures live.  (The other group is a Diamond Group, so we can insert pictures directly from our hard drives ~ normally. Then I just copy the picture over here.)  Of to a wonderful start!  Not!

I guess I will have the opportunity to spend time in the Aimoo Help Group this morning.   JUST what I wanted to do!

The Oh-So-Fun way I'm getting around the spacing problem is to Hit Enter to get to the next line, which is really about three lines down.  Then I move my cursor ahead of the first word, and hit backspace, which moves it up next to the last line typed, Then hit enter to get one like of space between the last line typed and the one I'm typing. I have to do that a couple of times.  How fun is THAT?!   Aarrgghhhh.

I have notice one improvement among all the frustration Aimoo is giving me.  When I type now, misspelled words show up immediately for correction.  I do like that.  The rest of it is really annoying!    I still can't insert a picture from my Hard Drive that isn't in the first layer of pictures rather than in a folder.    Humbug!

Lou Ann, I really sense a Nanner-Nanner in all the sunshine and flowers you posted, both in your May thread and in the new May Skin!  This is me, throwing a snowball at you!

On a less grumpy note ~ Both are beautiful.  Thank you so much for doing them for us!   I'm sorry but I will not be honoring Be Kind To Animals Week. I'm also going to be skipping "Hug Your Cat Day" on the 3rd.  At least for one of the cats.  Snarl!

Have a better day everone.

Dorothy

RE:MAY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:05/01/2013 11:06 AM)

Dorothy....nanners, nanners, nanners was not my plan. though it was
82 here yesterday and supposed to be in the 70's today.  Nuff said.
Poor Shogun...he is only doing what comes naturally.  Anything that
reflects light is fair game to them as the reflecting light gives the item
movement and therefore must be taken care of.  Novia broke many
a lovely blown glass unicorn and I always forgave her.  Eventually!!

Mom and my sisters are gone to my Aunts funeral.  They will be gone
until suppertime I think.  I can watch whatever I want today...shows
that my mom does not like.  So right now I am watching What Not to
Wear...it is one of my guilty pleasures.  I love the great self esteem
that they are able to give people by helping them to look good.

James, Cassie and Alivia are in the process of moving out.  They have
to give Jinx away because they cannot have her in their new place.  I
said "Can't we keep her mom?" and she said no.  Later when Jinx was
rubbing against moms legs I said...she wants to stay here with us.  I
again said we need to keep her.  Mom said we can't because of the
landlord.  I said I think they would let us.  She said fine...you call the'
landlord and ask, you will have to do all her care and the added
expense.  So then I sat and thought about it.  I know that Kathy
upstairs had to pay $1000 pet deposit when she got her cats.  So I
think it would be $500.00 for one.  I do not have it, but think they
would work with my on payments.  Then I thought about the
added expenses...food. litter. etc...that is all doable...but what
about if she got sick and needed the vet.  I do not have money
for that.  I have my 3 year plan for getting out of debt.  It would
be greatly delayed.  I have run this through my head and heart
over and over and come to the conclusion that this is not the
time for me to get a cat.  I want to be debt free more than
anything. then I could feel comfortable taking on the respon-
sibility of a cat and knowing I could do right by it.  So will let
Jinx go.  Besides, I want a cuddler and Jinx is not that...given
time maybe.  AlsoI do not like the name Jinx, lol.

Well, time to make some lunch....will have to be eggs, as we
are all out of lunch meat for sandwiches.   Have a great day all.
Hugs,

RE:MAY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:05/02/2013 8:39 AM)

Good Morning Everyone.

Most of the terrible PC/Aimoo issues I've been dealing with are "fixed", but I still have some issues. This is getting really OLD. Now I can't find the "Stay Signed In" button, so I have to sign in every time I come in.  I don't mean just when I come into Aimoo the first time for the day, but when I go from Aimoo group to a different Aimoo group!   Aarrgghhhhh!
Compared to yesterday when EVERYTHING was wrong, it's a whole lot better, but I'm so tired of fighting with everything. I posted what had been happening and how I (we) fixed most things in another thread for anyone who might also be having problems. Ok, enough listening to me whine ~~ for a few minutes, anyway.

My problem with spacing and adding images and half a dozen other things was that Windows had "upgraded" my browser to IE10 without so much as a 'By your leave'. I didn't have a clue ~ just that nothing worked anymore. How Rude! Mike got it back to IE9 for me, but I'm still having some 'issues', just not as many. I'd like to Smack the cretans that did this to me! While they were at it, they changed some of my picture folders to 'hidden' (?!) and changed the Compatibility Mode ~ and totally screwed me up. I can't even guess what else they did, but something is still causing me grief.

I'd tried Foxfire a long time ago and didn't like it, and I really avoid Google because of the way they sort of take over, and 'harvest' your private information. I've had the Google toolbar twice in the past (with a different Lap top) and it caused me no end of grief, and was darn near impossible to get rid of. Sooo, I mostly just avoid Google alltogether. I really prefer their search engine, but that's all.   So, for the time being, I'm stuck with Windows and IE9 ~ unless they change it on me again without telling me.

I posted asking for help in the Faceboook Aimoo group. Didn't get any help, but another woman had the same issues and once we figured my problem out I was able to help her. When she checked she found that she had been switched to IE10 without her knowledge too, and had Compatibility Mode turned off, too. Nice of them to tell us.

Still no Lucy! The mom is my Great Nephew, Robert's girl friend. I've actually never met her. We sent them a Video Baby Monitor like we got for Jack. Katie and Bryan really love it, so I hope Robert and Nikki will too. My niece (Jack's Grandma) says it's "Grandma approved".

Lou Ann, Shogun is still in serious jeopardy, even though he is curled up and sleeping just like he was a good boy at my feet.  Harrumph.

One of the women in the other group recommended a Kitty Tunnel that her bad kids like, so I'm going to order one.  Where we'll stow it if company comes I don't know.  lol     I know he's bored out of his gourd with no one playing with him.   He chases poor Chrystie unmercifully ~ when he's not entertaining himself with a search and destroy mission.   Then he comes up and head buts just as if he were a GOOD boy.   Ha!

I'm so sorry you can't take Jinx, but there can be a lot of expense if things go wrong, so I do understand why you made the decision not to keep her.   I hope they find her a good home.  Clearly she'd rather stay with you.

Have fun watching YOUR shows!

Hello Dorothy

Jinx is gone...James mom gave her to a friend of hers so I am

sure it will be a good home.  I will miss her.  She spent

some time with me yesterday.  I got a couple pics...not

great ones that I will

I took the pictures, that is why they are not so great, lol.

Helping herself to the treats, lol.

I have not been having any issues with Aimoo, other than photo

bucket not always wanting to load.  I have had to sign in every

visit for quite a while now...I finally am used to it.  Our sunshine

and warmth did not last long.  Dark morning and heavy rain

this afternoon.  Temp is now 38.

We ordered from Pizzaville for supper...mom got BBQ Ribs

and I got the Broasted Chicken.  Always enough for another

meal too!

I am sure that Shogun will love a tunnel to play in.  He would love

a box or paper bag just as much, lol.  Novia would play for hours

with one when she was young.  I also had one of those round

tracks with the ball in it and when the cat tries to get it or bat it,

it circles round and round the track.  Novia loved it and it kept

her busy.  You could just get a laser pen and let her chase the

red dot...that is lots of fun...though I used a flashlight with

Novia.  Good luck.

Have a great day!

Hugs,

RE:MAY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:05/03/2013 6:36 AM)

Good Morning, Glories

Good grief, the first week in May is nearly over. Time is flying, and I am not! I did get a few things done yesterday, but I spent way too much time online making up for the time when everything was so screwed up. I did make a nice crockpot chuck roast with little Dutch Baby potatoes and carrots, all topped with a mixture of Golden Mushroom Soup and Lipton onion soup mix and water. It smelled wonderful all day, and really was delish. Best of all, it will 'keep on giving' for a couple of days! Unfortunately, the house still smells of cooking this morning, and that's really not so nice on day two. I need to find something that counters our houses love for retaining cooking smells!

Lou Ann, Jinx is such a beauty!  Clearly she thinks you are, too.  I'm so sorry you can't keep her, but I'm glad you got the pictures and we got to see her, too.    Maybe, one day . . . .
There is a cat in Colorado named Shogun who will be looking for a new home, I'm pretty sure.      His new 'trick' is to steal my chair in the Man Cave.   I have a pillow for my back that I leave there, and he comes up on my chair and pulls the pillow down with his paw so he can sit on it like a cushion.   (Ok, I have to admit that kind of tickles me, even though my pillow is getting 'hairy' ~ lol)

We do have a laser pointer for him, but we don't play with him often enough.  We also have one of those round tracts with a ball fo him to try to get.  He does need a playmate.  Instead he has a grumpy old mom.

May 3 = Hug Your Cat Day. Hmm. We'll see.  No promises.
I WILL be wearing pants, tho.

I got that situation with having to sign into Aimoo every time I come in fixed ~ I think. For now. (Can you tell I don't trust it?) When I came into the group and signed in from there, it didn't leave me signed in. It didn't show the box that says "Stay Signed In". So, once I was in, I Signed Out (at the top) and then Signed In again. There it had the box for "Stay Signed In", and I clicked on it. So far it's working. I'm afraid to try it again ~ lol.
It sounds like you do see the 'Stay signed in' box, so that may not work for you. Everything seems to depend on the browser we are using. Grrr.

Have a good one!

RE:MAY SIGN IN

YAY, DOROTHY......THANKS FOR THE TIP....NOW I AM ONCE AGAIN SIGNED IN FOR ALWAYS AGAIN.  I COULD NOT SEE IT EITHER.  I HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY.  WE DID A&W FOR SUPPER TONIGHT.  MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER, ONION RINGS, CHEESE CURDS AND MY STRAWBERRY LIME SLUSHEE..YUM!
ANOTHER DREARY COLD RAINY DAY.  IT IS 45 RIGHT NOW.  WE WERE SPOILED FOR 2 DAYS AND NOT WE ARE BACK TO BLAH!!
ANYTIME YOU WANT A NEW HOME FOR SHOGUN, YOU LET ME KNOW....I WILL MAKE A HOME FOR HIM ANYTIME :)
I SAW THAT RECIPE IN THE RECIPE BOX.  I WANT TO TRY IT SINCE IT
SOUNDS SO EASY.  IF YOU ALL LIKE IT THEN I AM SURE THAT WE WILL
TOO.  ALSO WANT TO TRY THOSE CHEESY HASH BROWNS I SAW THERE.
I MADE  OUR CHICKEN CORDON BLEU ON SUNDAY AND WE FROZE 2 MORE
MEALS.  YOU AND I KNOW HOW MUCH WE LIKE MEALS THAT KEEP ON
GIVING :)  I AM THINKING IT IS TIME FOR A MEAT LOAF AND THAT
THAT HASH BROWN RECIPE WOULD BE GREAT WITH IT.
MY SISTER IN LAW KRISTI, LOST HER JOB.  SHE HAD BEEN HAVING
TROUBLE WITH HER BOSS FOR A WHILE NOW AND THEY HAVE NOW
CONVENIENTLY ELIMINATED HER POSITION.  THEY DECIDED THAT
SHE WOULD COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT FOR OVER THE SUMMER.
THAT WAY SHE CAN JUST BE HOME WITH THE BOYS AND NO NEED
FOR DAYCARE.  THEN SHE WILL LOOK FOR SOMETHING.  SOMETIMES
I FEEL THAT THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON.  SO I HOPE THIS WORKS
OUT WELL FOR THEM.  MARCIA WAS ORDERED TO INCREASE HER
CHILD SUPPORT WITH BACK PAY TO WHEN SHE GOT HER RAISE
AND DID NOT REPORT IT.  SHE HAS NOT DONE SO YET NOR THE
2 THINGS SHE WAS ORDERED TO DO...SO THEY PUT OUT A
WARRANT FOR HER ARRESTS.   LEIGH FINALLY CALLED HER AND
ASKED HER WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH HER?  SHE CLAIMED
SHE DID NOT KNOW.....AS SHE DID NOT SHOW UP FOR COURT,
SHE JUST THROWS ANY THING FROM THE COURTS ASIDE AND
DOES NOT READ THEM.  SO HE TOLD HER SHE HAD BETTER READ
THEM AND SET THINGS RIGHT IF SHE DOES NOT WANT TO GO
TO JAIL.  HE DOES NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN FOR THE BOYS
SAKE'S.  I HOPE THAT ALL WORKS OUT.  I WILL HOPEFULLY SEE
THE BOYS THIS SUMMER.  LEIGH SAYS IF MARCIA BRINGS THEM
TO HER PARENTS FOR A WEEK, HE WILL HAVE HER TURN THEM
OVER TO DIANE AND MOM.  THEN AFTER A WEEK, DIANE WILL
TAKE THEM HOME AND VISIT FOR A WHILE.  MOM MAY GO TO
IF SHE IS UP TO IT.  SO WILL NOT SEE LEIGH AND KRISTI AT
ALL.  AT LEAST I TALK TO HIM ON THE PHONE.
NOTHING ELSE GOING ON HERE.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
HUGS,

RE:MAY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:05/05/2013 8:34 AM)

Guess I don't have to tell you that Aimoo still isn't "fixed", but at least we can post and even use borders and tags.

Yesterday, if you could get in at all, you could go out for lunch while waiting for a board to open. I posted in our Facebook for any who might see it there so you wouldn't think you were the Lone Ranger, and then I took the day off! I hadn't really intended to, it just sort of happened.

Mike made my favorite breakfast, cheesy scrambled egg croissants, after I had done all the damage I thought I could do online, and then I got comfy in my chair with a good book ~~ and I actually read all day long! I don't even remember the last time I did that, but it was wonderful. We still had some of the crockpot roast left, so we had hot beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes for dinner, and I just read and read.

Of course I'm going to pay for it today. I should have colored my hair yesterday, and cleaning the fridge is on the calendar for today, along with laundry, so no lounging around for me today. Yesterday sure was nice, though. Go ahead, Aimoo. Make my day. Ha!

No, not a peep out of Lucy yet! Unless she's here and they just haven't let us know, in which case they're in a lot of trouble!

Lou Ann, I'm so glad the Sign-in tip worked for you, too.   I hate having to sign in each time!

Your A&W dinner sounded yummy.

Lovely that you not only had your Chicken Cordon Bleu, but froze it too!   Wonderful having something on hand when you need it.
Hmmm.  I see another Aimoo issue ~ no smilies available.   Hope this is all fixed soon!

OhMyGoodness ~ Hard to believe Marcia is 'at it' again.   She still seems like a real 'piece of work'.    Is she still with her creepy boy friend?
Kristi just sounds like night and day from her.

I keep checking the Aimoo Facebook page, but while they are making progress, no news about our "skins". I also tried the two different ways to get into the group and got the really strange page the one way, so I'm using the other ~ which doesn't have any 'skin' but at least lets us post. Sheesh!

Well, let's see if I actually get some things done today, since I finished my delicious book in one day yesterday. Much to do because next Saturday Mike's sister and brother-in-law will be here for the first time. Marcela is coming to clean on Tuesday instead of Wednesday because of some conflicts smiley49, but she promised to give us extra time so she can clean the basement 'Guest Suite' and do some other things that badly need to be done. I wish we could get a real Spring Cleaning, and that we could have had the windows washed and the carpets cleaned, but we couldn't because of all the snow. Of course we'll be able to get that done ~~ after they leave.smiley43 Ah, well. They'll either like the house or they won't, and I'm not going to worry about it.
Much. Ha.

Have a great day, all.

IT IS A LOVELY DAY HERE IN WISCONSIN.  IT IS 59 BUT FEELS WARMER AND WE HAVE THE DOOR OPEN TO THE SCREEN AND ARE ENJOYING THE FRESH AIR.  IT SEEMS SO WEIRD TO SEE THE GROUP WITHOUT THE SKIN, LOL.  I EVEN TRIED TO CHECK IT OUT BUT YOU CANNOT EVEN ACCESS THAT PAGE, THEY ARE REALLY EXPERIENCING ISSUES AREN'T THEY.  MOM IS MAKING A BEEF ROAST FOR TONIGHT SO WE JUST HAD SANDWICHES FOR LUNCH.
I WAS INVITED TO BE A CREATOR FOR A CHARITY EVENT FOR MS AND I HAVE COMMITTED TO IT.  IT IS A 3 DAY EVENT ON MAY 17TH, 18TH AND 19TH.  PEOPLE PAY TO JOIN THE EVENT AND ARE GUARANTEED ALL KINDS OF GOODIES. YOU HAVE TO COMMIT TO DONATING 4 PERSONALIZED ITEMS TO EACH PERSON THAT JOINS.  THOSE ARE THE GUARANTEED ITEMS.  THEN THEY WOULD LIKE YOU TO RUN CONTESTS DURING THE EVENT WITH PERSONALIZED ITEMS AS PRIZES.  NOT SURE HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL JOIN, BUT I AM PRETTY SURE IT IS AT LEAST 50.  I WILL CREATE SOME LETTER TEMPLATES THAT I JUST HAVE
TO ADD NAMES TO.  I HAVE TO WRITE AN INTRO AND THEN MY CONTESTS CAN BE ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT MY INTRO.  LAST YEAR I WAS A PARTICIPANT IN THAT I MADE THE DONATION AND REAPED THE REWARDS.  IT WAS SO INSPIRING.  I SAID THEN I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN CREATING FOR THE NEXT EVENT.  THE LAST ONE WAS IN NOVEMBER AND THE PROCEEDS WENT TO THOSE CHRISTMAS SHOE BOXES THAT THEY SEND OUT TO KIDS IN POOR COUNTRIES FOR CHRISTMAS.  IT COST $25 TO GET IN AND IT COMES WITH 1 RAFFLE TICKET.  FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $5 YOU DONATE THEY ADD ANOTHER RAFFLE TICKET.  THERE ARE 3 BIG GRAND PRIZES CONSISTING OF PERSONALIZED ITEMS, LETTERS, TAGS ETC AND GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR ON LINE STORES THAT SELL TUBES, SCRAPS ETC.  ALSO MEMBERSHIP TO SOME PAID CREATORS SITES FOR 3 MONTHS, ETC.  ALSO LOTS OF TUBES AND CLIP ART.  I WON 2ND PLACE LAST YEAR AND IT WAS A BONANZA OF ITEMS.  ALSO
TUT WRITERS DONATE TUTS WRITTEN EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE EVENT.  ALL ITEMS MUST BE EXCLUSIVE TO THE EVENT.  IF YOU MAKE A PERSONALIZED TAG, YOU CANNOT OFFER TO YOUR OWN GROUPS.  LETTERS THAT ARE NOT PERSONALIZED CAN BE SHARED. AS PEOPLE CAN SNAG THEM WHEN YOU USE
THEM, BUT THE TAGS CANNOT BE.  IT WILL TAKE UP ALL MY WAKING MOMENTS FOR THOSE 3 DAYS TO KEEP UP AS I WILL BE ABLE TO SNAG AND REQUEST ITEMS ALSO.  I AM MORE EXCITED ABOUT CREATING FOR IT THAN I AM ABOUT GETTING ALL THE GOODIES. THOUGH I MUST SAY THAT ALL THE FREE TUBES
IS A JOY!!!  LAST YEAR I REALLY STACKED UP ON CHRISTMAS STUFF.  THIS YEAR IT WILL BE SPRING AND SUMMER STUFF.  THIS EVENT IS SHORTER NOTICE THAN USUAL SO THEY HAVE STATED THAT IS YOU CANNOT MANAGE 4 PERSONALIZED ITEMS, THEY WILL CREATE 2 OF THEM FOR YOU, SO YOU ONLY HAVE TO
COMMIT TO 2, I AM SURE I CAN MANAGE 4.  JUST HAD TO SHARE MY EXCITEMENT WITH YOU :)
HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT DAY.
MISS YOU GRANNNIEM AND MARY ANN.

RE:MAY SIGN IN
(Date Posted:05/06/2013 5:04 AM)

Good Morning.

I wouldn't be here this early, but I've been awake since 2:30. Now it's a quarter to 5 as I start this post, and I decided to do something more productive than staring at the ceiling. Grrrr.

I did have a nice and fairly productive day yesterday, making up for my full day of reading the day before. (Bad Dorothy!) I got my hair colored, got the Budget Book updated and balanced (Yay!), got a couple of loads of laundry done, and Mike and I cleaned the refrigerator! It was seriously overdue, and now it looks sparkling clean.

Today Mike plans to take the cars in to be washed and get a few groceries we need. I'm not sure he can do both cars, though both badly need it, but if he gets the Chrysler done today, he can hopefully get the Lincoln done later. I'd hate to have Marianne and Bill see them n their current state. lol
I'm making meatloaf tonight.

Marcela comes tomorrow because she had a conflict and coldn't come on Wednesday. I'd hoped to have her come twice and do some Spring cleaning for us, but she's going to give us some extra time tomorrow anyway and this will have to do. I'm expecting a long and tiring day tomorrow, so I may not come in. Given how quickly the floor and countertops get dirty, it looks like some extra cleaning for us before the visitors arrive on Saturday.

Lou Ann, is this an Eye Test, with the teeny-tiny print?   If it is, I've flunked!   I'm going to have to read your post in edit so I can make the print larger, at least temporarily.  Lol.

How lovely to be able to have the windows open after our looong Winter!
We really enjoyed our crockpot roast, so I know you are going to enjoy your beef roast.  Yum!

What an honor, and what a nice thing to take part in the MS Charity event!    If we promise not to snag, maybe you can show us some of the things you are creating.   If not, I understand.  It really sounds great.

HELLO DOROTHY
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE FONT IN MY LAST POST.  IT WAS FINE WHEN I TYPED IT, LOL.  I FIXED IT NOW IN CASE ANYONE ELSE READS BACK.  I COULD NOT READ IT EITHER.
I AM SORRY YOUR SLEEP WAS CUT SHORT.  I THINK YOU ARE ALREADY FRETTING OVER HAVING VISITORS AND WILL WORRY
IT TO PIECES BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.  I KNOW YOU, LOL. I AM SURE THE PLACE WILL BE PERFECT...AND THEY ARE COMING TO SEE YOU...NOT TO DO A WHITE GLOVE TEST ON YOUR HOME. :)
GLAD TO HEAR YOU GOT SO MUCH DONE TODAY.  I GOT MOMS CHECKBOOK STRAIGHTENED OUT.  WAS NOT AS BAD THIS TIME.
HAVE NOT DONE MY OWN YET.  BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM.  OUR BEEF ROAST SUPPER WAS DELISH.  AND IT WAS ENOUGH TO FREEZE 3 MORE MEALS FOR US.
DARN. GOTTA GO...FORGOT TO SORT MOMS PILLS FOR THE WEEK
AND SHE WANTS TO BE GOING TO SLEEP SOON.
HAVE A GREAT DAY TOMORROW.
HUGS,

Hooray! Aimoo seems, at least for now, to be fixed,
and the Baby Watch is over. Yesterday we welcomed Lucy Roxan (all 9.5 lbs, 20 inches of her blond, green eyed self). Robert said they were going to call her Lulu.

Yesterday Marcela came and she stayed twice as long as she normally does and got the Guest Suite cleaned and fresh sheets on the bed and some "Spring Cleaning" done. Right this minute the house looks good, but this house shows dirt worse than any place I've ever lived, so who knows how it will look by Saturday, when our company comes.

I had planned to work with her doing the extra things we needed, but she shooed Mike and me away and did it all herself, so I wasn't tired like I had expected to be when she left. We have a lot of things we will need to do, but most of them can't be done until close to the last minute, so today is largely a 'day off'.

It's sunny here now, but we're supposed to have rain almost every day. It would be good if we didn't have a lot of running to do the next few days.

Lou Ann, I'm sure that's my issue with not sleeping well.  We have everything fixed as nicely as we can, and menus planned, and it should be just a good time to be with Mike's sister and bil, especially so soon after Tom's funeral.  I don't know why I always stress about things like this, but I do.  I've always called it "paying my dues in advance" ~ if I stress now, hopefullly everything will go perfectly and we'll all enjoy each other.

Lovely that you got to have that delicious beef roast and freeze some for later too!   How nice is that?!   I made meatloaf yesterday, so we'll have that tonight and tomorrow.  Yay!

I have an appointment with the Periodontist tomorrow morning, and then we are going to get some shopping done and erands run, so I may or may not be in. Friday I plan to do some pre-cooking for Saturday's dinner. I'm guessing that I won't be on line much while the company is here, so you'll know why I'm gone and not worry about me.

The company will arrive Saturday afternoon. We're planning to have dinner here the first night (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, baked beans, corn on the cob and mini-croissants) AND a birthday cake for Bill, whose birthday is Monday.

I'm making Chile Rellano hot dish for breakfast on Sunday and we plan to go out to our favorite Chinese restaurant Sunday night. I hope we don't have a problem since it's Mother's Day.

Monday, Mike's making corned beef hash and eggs for breakfast and we're going to the Keg to celebrate Bill's birthday. We'll have ham for sandwiches and leftover chicken and such for lunches if they want something.

Tuesday morning we'll have chocolate croissants for an easy and quick breakfast, and then they will be on their way back to the airport. We rented a car for them so Mike doesn't have to drive to the airport to pick them up and take them back. Definitely a smart decision on our part, and they seem ok with it, too.

Is that way too much detail? Sorry 'bout that. You can see where my mind is.  LOL

Have a Happy Hump Day all. Our trash and recycle bin are already on the curb, and I'm thinking it's coffee time.

HELLO LUCY, AKA LULU, WELCOME TO THE WORLD.
BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL.  CONGRATS DOROTHY AND MIKE.
I AM MUCH LIKE YOU DOROTHY...I WORRY THINGS TO DEATH.
I DO NOT KNOW IF IT MAKES THINGS TURN OUT BETTER IN THE LONG RUN OR NOT LOL.
I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I LOVE THE ARTIST CARON VINSON.
AND THEY WARNED US FOR THE CHARITY EVENT NOT TO USE
PAID FOR ARTIST WITHOUT PERMISSION BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH IT IS A CHARITY EVENT, IN A WAY, THEY ARE PAYING
FOR WHAT THEY GET.  AND WE CANNOT CREATE FOR PROFIT. SO I WROTE CARON FROM HER WEBSITE AND ASKED.  SHE WROTE ME BACK AND SAID SHE WAS HAPPY I HAD WRITTEN HER AND HONORED THAT I WANTED TO USE HER ART FOR AN EVENT TO RAISE MONEY FOR MS.  SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MD 13 YEARS AGO.  SHE GAVE ME PERMISSION TO USE HER TUBES IN MY WORK FOR THE EVENT.  I AM SO HAPPY.  I USED HER WORK IN OUR OPENING PAGE THIS MONTH.
NOW I NEED TO GET STARTED.  I WANT TO GET SOME LETTERS AND TAGS SET UP THAT I CAN JUST ADD NAMES TO LATER TO MAKE IT EASIER.  WE DO GET 2 WEEKS AFTER THE EVENT TO COMPLETE AND SEND OUT ALL OUR CREATIONS TO THE PARTICIPANTS.  BUT I WANT A HEAD START.  I NEED 4 ITEMS FOR THE GUARENTEED LIST.  THEN I NEED PRIZES TO ADD TO THE 1ST, 2ND AND 3RD PLACE GRAND PRIZES.  AND THEN ANY GAME OR TRIVIA PRIZES I CHOOSE TO HAVE.  SO I NEED TO GET GOING ON THIS.
I WENT TO LOUANN AND BRUCE'S LAST NIGHT WITH NAN.  WE HAD TACO JOHN'S FOR SUPPER AND THEN WE WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE OF 'MR. SELFRIDGE'.  I LIKE IT BUT IT IS CONFUSING...THERE ARE TOO MANY BRUNETTES WITH SIMILAR HAIR STYLES AND IT IS HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF WHO IS WHO.  MR. SELFRIDGE'S WIFE, MISTRESS AND LADY MAY ALL LOOK ALIKE TO ME, LOL.
IT IS A GORGEOUS DAY HER IN WISCONSIN.  76 DEGREES AND NOT HUMID.  A TRULY LOVELY DAY.  I HOPE THAT ALL OF YOU ARE ENJOYING THE SAME.
HUGS,

To compensate for the recent outages, Aimoo has given us Diamond membership until 5/24, so you can check it out and see if you like it.

No ads, but the thing I like best about Diamond membership is the ability to upload images directly from your hard drive instead of having to go through Photobucket.

Click on the box to the right of the smiley icon.

Then Browse to locate the image you want to post,

Then Click on Upload ~ and wait until the message returns saying upload is successful.

Then click on Insert Image.   Ez-Pz.

Morning all.

Yesterday morning I visited the Periodontist. Oh, how I miss the previous hygienist, "No Pain Elaine"! She was painless and fun to talk to, but she left. Now I seem to permanently have Motor Mouth Marsha, who does cause a bit of pain, but nothing to compare to the assult on my poor ears. Good LORD how that woman can talk ~ and talk, and talk! smiley50

We ran errands and got a bit more work done and I made baked beans for tomorrow night's dinner and Mike made whipped potatoes so at least that part of the meal is just 'heat and eat' and we can spend more time visiting and less time cooking while our guests are here.

We got a good bit of rain yesterday, and there is more 'scheduled' for today, too. Then it looks like clear skies for the weekend. Mike is going to try to get the Lincoln washed in between showers today. Both cars were beyond filthy!

Lou Ann, I love Caron Vinson's work, too, and I had no idea she had MD.   What a gracious and lovely woman she must be!

I wish we could see the things you are creating, but I do understand.

Roku is now offering PBS so we watched two episodes of Mr Selfridge.  Unfortunately they weren't the first two, so we had to jump in at number 5 & 6.  I think we sort of caught up with the story line and we enjoyed it.   Also unfortunately, it was PBS so we were subjected to commercials rather often ~ always the same commercial through out the episode.   Better than the fund raisers, I guess.  Ha.

Waving to annieM and Mary Ann!  Have a good one, all.
