Palm Sunday.

It's a week until Easter.  How the time is flying!    I'm waiting to try again to Facetime with Aaron and Vince later this morning.

I put a new Low Carb section in our Recipe Collection and then I put up some new recipes copied from Pinterest ~ two recipes for Low Carb Egg Muffins, the one I told you about and a similar one using eggs and green chiles.  I think it will be easy to modify these recipes to suit our tastes.  Just be sure to use Muffin Cups that are as big as those in the recipe, or cut down on the number of eggs.

I was going to use the rest of those beaten eggs to make another dozen muffins, this time using cheese, green chiles (mild of course ) and black olives but when I brought the egg mixture out of the fridge it didn't look good, so I'm going to have to start over with half as many eggs.   Later!   We really like the smaller size muffins because it gives us more flexibility, but I'm going to go ahead and order the larger size muffin cups and try them.

I also posted a recipe for "Low Carb Cheeseburger Pie" that looks kind of good.  I'm going to try it this coming week, I think.

I made some deviled eggs using eggs that have already been boiled and shelled and packaged to sell that way.  Who could imagine such a thing?!  Ha!  I was surprised that they worked perfectly, just like eggs I had just boiled and shelled myself.  Mike loves his deviled eggs.

Yes, I did have Sesame Chicken and Mike tried Szechuan Prawns.  All gone now.    I like the idea of your Sunday Funday.  Apparently Downton isn't coming back after the next season.  smiley66 Did you know Mr Selfridge starts tonight?   Your meals there always sound wonderful.  I hope you get the carrot cake cheesecake!  I can't quite picture that but it sounds lovely.

Ugh, your appointments sound awful ~~ but you know that I think any medical appointment sounds terrible, so you can just ignore my shudder.  lol  Denise sounds wonderful.   I'm so glad you have someone like her!

Hmmm.  Ranch dressing in the muffins ~~ sounds good!

Thank you for the lovely Tag.   Have a Happy Day.

I had a lovely day but am so tired so will make this quick.

I had a wonderful time and Kirstie and Liam visited.

You can see in the last one, he pulled my oxygen off and was going for my glasses, lol.

Bruce did make carrot cake cheesecake.  It has a layer of carrot cake, then a layer of cheese cake and then a layer of carrot cake and then it is frosted.  It was delicious!!!  Kirstie brought a bread pudding from Vande Walles.  Do you have any near you?  I have never had bread pudding and Nan said she did not like bread pudding but we both loved this.  It was to die for.  Nan said it was nothing like any bread puddings  she had ever had.  We had a taco salad, which was ok, but made with Catalina Dressing and that would not be my choice for it.  Also Louann made Guacamole and we had chips and it was delish.  Those sweets put me way over on carbs I am sure.  Though I did have salads for lunch and supper, lol.

We finished Downton and wow, it was happy endings all around.  Hate that it will be the last season.  Next we will binge on Mr. Selfridge.  We saw that the tivo or whatever it was, was recording Mr. Selfridge.  Come to think about it. I think they already watched last season of Mr. Selfridge, so I will have to try and watch last season on my laptop to catch up.  We will be together next Sat for Liam's birthday party, though Nan works and cannot make it.  I remember the birthday parties for the girls when they were little.  After everyone was gone they would always go try on any clothes they got and do a fashion show for us.  We will not be getting that with boys.

It was dog city at their house.  Reid and family are on vacation so they are baby sitting April, their blind yellow lab.  Riss and family are on vacation so they have Hayley, their yellow lab.  Kirstie and Nick had an out of town date yesterday so they had Cooper, their Jack Russell Terrier. I was buried by happy dogs wanting attention when I walked in.  I could not move for fear of falling over one.  Kirstie and Liam came to visit and pick up Cooper.

These tags were also a tut challenge.

Hugs,

PS....Bruce says your flowers are Fresia's!

Good Morning.

I overslept this morning, or rather I slept late after going to sleep around 1 AM and then being awake from 4:30 to 5:30.  Nothing major on the agenda for today, so I guess getting a late start isn't a problem.

Lovely weather again today.  It's supposed to get cold on Thursday and SNOW on Good Friday, but I'll wait to see what really happens.

My feet were slim this morning (lol) so I assumed no fluids and thought I'd hop on the scale.  Down another pound!  Yay!  Of course I know I could be up again tomorrow, fluctuation being what it is, but it started my day off nice.   No one can say I'm not loosing SLOW enough.  Ha!

Oooh, look at YOU!  Now there is a Happy Face, and I love it.  What could be more fun than cuddling Liam?  Maybe being buried in puppy dogs.  All that and great food and Downton Abby too!  It sounds like a wonderful day, and you were overdue to have one!

I read about the carrot cake-cheese cake to Mike and he was drooling!  Two of his very favorite things!

I LOVE Bread Pudding!  I've had some that were better than others, but I've never had one I didn't enjoy.  Unfortunately ~ lol.  I suspect they would never qualify as low carb.

We watched Mr Selfridge, too.  Honestly I wasn't sure I was looking forward to it that much.   I knew Rose had died while the show was off and his daughters came from America ~~ basically a new cast.  I usually don't love it when we get a new cast.  I like people I'm familiar with.  That said, we did both enjoy it and will continue to watch.

We watched The Good Wife first, and once again I didn't like it.  When it's good, it's very very good, but lately ~~ not so much.

Castle is on tonight, and I have't been enjoying that much lately either.   What did they do, get rid of all the good writers?   I hope rather than expect it will be good tonight.

Pretty tag!  Thank you!

Good Morning.

I didn't do much yesterday except review HOA Covenants to see what the changes we were supposed to be voting on, and email back and forth with some of the neighbors about an amendment change we are supposed to vote on.  Honestly, I wish these folks had more to do!  I tried to keep my tone "gracious", but I don't think it was "Warm and fuzzy".  lol

Mike actually did get a lot done. He did some work in the kitchen, cleaned the liter box, took out trash and some recycles, and made dinner ~~  Crappies!   He's making Walleye tonight.   I broke down some boxes to go in the recycle bin and helped Mike give the cats a Mani-Pedi, and not a lot more.  I'll do better today.   Maybe.  I've been awake since 2:30 AM after going to sleep at midnight, so don't count on it.

We do plan to take the old Cable Receiver boxes back to Comcast and visit the Meat Market to pick up our Easter ham today, but that's about all that's planned.

Have a Happy Day.

OMG, Easter is almost upon us and I have not even made an Easter tag. I

will have to remedy that. Sorry I was not in. I was working furiously on

the new skin and page because the ladies were coming tonight and there

would be no time today. Then I went in email and found out one of the

ladies is ill and we are postponing so I am actually ahead of the game, lol.  I

I adore the last 2 tags you have used. They are soooo cute.

I think Joanne is going to have us out Sat night.

I stopped to eat lunch and while doing that mom and I were talking and I

suddenly remembered I have Liam's birthday over supper on Sat. so I

will not be able to go to Joannes. Oh well. I know that Fauska's would not

mind me missing, but I think I would enjoy that more than at Joanne's

where they will have sports crap on TV.

Trying to get Liam to give me a kiss.  He would not, but he did when he

was saying good bye and I got him to wave.  He is all but walking.

I slept late today too, it was 10 am when I woke up.  I slept 7.1 hrs and

last night I slept 8.1 hrs.  I think because I have been more physical in

the last couple days.  Sat. I scrubbed the kitchen floor and dining room

floor.  Sun I was at Fauska's. Yesterday I cleaned the bathroom and

today I scrubbed the bathroom floor.  So at least our house is clean.

Major issue with blood sugar testing.  Ran out of strips on my moms

machine.  She thought there was too much of a build up and threw a

bunch away.  When you test 4x daily you go through a lot.  I got out an

old meter of mine and used it, only to find it's results were all over the

place.  Of course this was on the weekend. So Mon I contacted clinic and

needed them to get an order for my own meter, etc.  But they sent the

order to my mail order and that will be at least a week before I get it. So

then we tried to buy strips for my moms meter and they do not carry

them, they could order and get today but retail at $35.  No way.  So then

they offered one of theirs that they give to new pts.  But only have 10

strips in them.  I would use that up in 2 1/2 days.  So they took the strips

from another one to give me 20 strips and Denise said just test 2x dly

until I get my meter from Right Source.  This took hours to arrange.

Then last night I had to go through 2 days worth of email.  One group

alone have over 200 in it.  Between them all there had to be close to

1000.  I did not get to play most of my games yesterday.  It was hard as

I am so anal about things like that, lol.

Well, gotta go finish up things for the changeover, check email and find

time for my games.  See you next month.

Hugs,
