RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/23/2014 5:41 PM)

Hi.   Better late than never?

Marcela was supposed to come this morning but she texted me and said she wasn't feeling well so she would be late.  Then about the time she was to come she called and said she was really sick, and she sounded it.   She said she'd try to come later and she had put some cookies in a box for us.   I told her NOT to come, she obviously was very sick ~~ and besides that, we don't want whatever it is that you have. lol.  I suggested she go to an Urgent Care but she was concerned about where they were and if they took her insurance.  We left it with me telling her to consider Urgent Care and get some rest.

After we talked Mike and I got on line and found an Ungent Care near her house that did take her insurance, so I texted her with that information.   I hope she went.  She sounds really sick, too sick to just wait for it to go away.

Then I got an assortment of bad news and I just didn't feel like coming in to talk.   A dear friend from my youth's husband passed away a few months ago, another friend is really sick and my niece Mary Ann's mother-in-law passed away early this morning.  Mary Ann's husband was with her all night and there with her when she died.  Aaron and Christina and Vince are there now, and Katie texted me to let me know.   She was in her 90s and had been failing.  They expected this, but I don't care how much you know something like this 'in your head', you don't really expect or accept it in your heart.

Anyway, I was in a sad mood earlier.

We had a mini-blizzard yesterday afternoon and I had hoped that we would be able to get pictures of the house with the lights on in the snow, but most of it has already melted.

I did get all of my gifts wrapped and I see that the last of the out of town ones have been delivered, so now I just sit back and wait for Christmas!   We even have much of our Christmas dinner made so it only needs to be reheated, except for the actual roast.  ;-)

Because of only getting one hour of sleep, I felt kind of sick all day yesterday, but thankfully last night I got better sleep, so I've felt ok today.

Oooh, divinity.  I wish we lived closer.  ;-)

Thank you for the darling tag!!

Great that they are taking you shopping AND that you got all your gifts wrapped!  Nice too to have more invitations out in addition to Christmas dinner!

Mary Ann always sends us Wisconsin cheese and Maple Syrup in addition to our wreath and that box came today.  My favorite Baby Swiss, some Aged Sharp Cheddar, some Colby/Monterey Jack and this time some cheese curds.   Appetizer tray!  ;-)

Our niece Laine just sent a box of cookies, so I guess we won't be going hungry ~~ not that I thought for a minute that we would.smiley80

Hope your shopping went well.  Don't eat it all before Christmas. smiley80

RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/23/2014 8:44 PM)

Oh noooooo, poor Marcela.  No one wants to be sick

for Christmas!  Does she have any family.  I am glad

you took the extra step and sent her the needed info.

You did all you could so am just hoping she goes.

Today I got the bathroom cleaned and the floor

scrubbed.  Mom got the kitchen floor done.  I dusted

the living room.

Then at 4 Suz and Travis picked me up and we went to

the bank first, then Fleet Farm, then Walmart and then

KFC to take home some dinner.  We ate about 6:30, very

late for mom and I.  I over spent, lol.  But I rarely do

that so it is fun to get anything I want.  There was even

bottle of Jose Cuervo in the cart.  (I have a blueberry

pineapple slush mix to make with it.)  I even got some of

those baby bells you see in the commercials on TV.  I

have always wanted to try them.  I bought sleep

pants and T-shirts for Travis and Jordan.  I am not

supposed to buy for them since they are adult and out of

school, but I wanted to.  I wanted something for Jordan

when he gets out of jail.  Did not even tell mom I did that.
I just sent the items home with Suz.  I will not give them

money as they will spend it on cigarettes.

Right now mom and I are really enjoying the Michael

Bublés Christmas Special and really enjoying it.  Barbra

will be on soon and I love her.  One of my favorite parts

of Christmas was all the stars having Christmas Specials.

I particularly loved Andy Williams and Perry Como's

shows.  I wish more stars would make them.  Even the

Christmas Lawrence Welk shows were awesome.  I love

variety shows and nobody does them any more.

I am so sorry for all the sadness and loss in your family.

I especially dislike death's in December because then

you always associate Christmas with the deaths.  We

had a dear family friend...Mary.  He husband had worked

with my dad way back in the day.  He was an alcoholic and

lost his job and Mary eventually left him.  She remained

family friend and an adopted Grandmother to us kids.

She died on a Dec 3.  She loved Christmas...so it seems

appropriate to think of her this time of year.  We even all

had presents under the tree from her that year as she

had them all bought already.  I honor her when I bake

the cookies and things that she always made.  Now I

have made myself feel guilty about not making any this

year.

Did you ever hear from Laine about the tree and

ornaments?  Such a wonderful surprise gift.  And

extended a few days apart made it all the better.

I am sure I will be in again tomorrow.  But just in

case have a Very Merry Christmas!!

Hugs,

RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/24/2014 8:45 AM)

Twas the Night before Christmas . . .
maybe my favorite day of the year.    Our plans are simple but I'm looking forward to them.  We are going for an early lunch at The Briarwood.  It's always so elegantly decorated for Christmas.  Then tonight we'll have our little Christmas Eve smorgasbord and open our gifts to each other while we watch "Magoo's Christmas Carol", a long tradition.  We used to start our Christmas Eve celebration with Mike reading the Christmas story from Luke, but over the years we've gotten away from that.....

Half of the tree has presents under it, and half is strikingly empty.  That half had better have something under it by tonight!   When I was a kid there would have been presents under the tree for weeks and I would have memorized each one with my name on  it.  Then my mother would come home from work and lock herself in her bedroom for an hour to wrap her gifts.  That was the longest hour in the whole year!  Then she would come out and put them beneath the tree and we would have the Christmas smorgasbord ~~ What?!  Wait LONGER to open gifts?!  Torture!   Now I swear Mike has reincarnated her!   I should take all of his gifts away from the tree.  harrumph and Ho! Ho! Ho!

We got a Christmas package from Laine last night ~ six boxes of assorted Christmas cookies.  She must have been baking for weeks!  They all look wonderful ~~ but I'm not going to be able to fit in my pants by New Years!
She also sent a picture of the tree.  We gave both her and her sister ornaments every year until they were 18, and I was delighted to see some of those ornaments on her little tree instead of just the gold ones we sent.   Her boyfriend also put up a Steeler's ornament heading for her Barbie ornament (which was not one of the ones we gave her).  lol

We are having Prime Rib for Christmas dinner.  I always thought that you had to have ham or turkey on Christmas Day ~~ it was a law or something.  Ha!  Then Mike wanted to have Prime Rib one year and he fixed it.  I swear I never smelled anything that good in my life, and the taste lived up to the smell!   I was hooked.  Sadly since that time, it hasn't been that good much of the time.  Good but not awesome.  Still, I do enjoy it and since Mike makes it and the potatoes and gravy I won't complain.  I make the rest of the veggies, which is pretty easy.  Clean up, on the other hand, is not.   We should have tried one of those bake-in bags you all have been talking about.  Next year, maybe.

Your shopping day sounded like a lot of fun.  I know you shouldn't overspend, but you are always careful with your budget and sometimes we just need to reward ourselves with being able to just do what we want to do!    Everything you got sounds great ~ and if there were ever a time or overdoing, it's Christmas!   I love that you got gifts for the guys even though you weren't supposed to.

Mike and I were just talking the other day about the old Christmas specials we remember and loved.  How fun to know there are still some happening, though of course not nearly as many.

Thank you for yet another lovely tag AND Border!!

I hope you have the very Merriest Christmas ever and that 2015 is nothing but happy and healthy for you and your whole family!
All good things, my friend.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas
I love the little tree.  It is beautiful.
I really love your traditions, though it wish
that Mike still did his reading.  That sounds
so lovely.  Mom and I watched It's a Wonderful Life.
We did get in all our old time favorites...White Christmas,
Miracle on 24th Street and the above.
Someone left a plate full of cookies and goodies at our door.
No note or card so we have no idea who left them, but we
are enjoying them.  Will share with family tomorrow.  I just
saw on FaceBook a posting by my brother Leigh that he is
missing his mama and sisters and wishing us a Merry Christmas.
It made me cry as I have been missing him too a lot lately.
Have not seen him and his family in over a year.
I made the newspaper.  I am in a group on FaceBook called
When I was young and lived in Fond du Lac.  They posted
the question "Christmas Letters, Good or Bad?  and asked
for opinions saying it was research for an article.  Then a
friend emails me that my comment is in the paper.  I did
not know it would be in the paper or give my permission
for them to print it.  If I had known I would have worded
the comment better.  Since I referred to richer relatives
bragging, I am glad that none of them will see the article.
LOL
Well, I need to be getting off to sleep as have to get up
at a decent hour and make my cheese and sausage tray
and help mom with the veggie tray.  Hopefully we can
get them done in no time. My morning routine is time
consuming with breakfast, insulin, breathing treatment,
etc.  I want to have it all done before family arrives.
Have a wonderful Christmas Day and I hope you are
spoiled royally!
Love,

I'm so sorry or not getting in sooner today ~~~ and even so, I'm going to wait until tomorrow to talk to you.   I'm Christmassed Out!    It's been great, just too much!  Ha.   Yes, I was spoiled beyond rotten!

There is a blizzard going on outside my window right now.  It looks like everyone up the block is having a party except us.  We're not having one, nor are we going to one ~~~ and I'm glad.  LOL

I hope your celebration was everything you had hoped for and more!

Tomorrow my sweet.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Our "elaborate" Christmas decorations ~~~

Christmas Eve Day lunch at The Briarwood ~

Mike pretending to drink from the botte of his split of Champagne.  Good thing our booth was private.  smiley83

Mike had Lobster Bisque followed by Boeuf a la Bourguignonne, and I had a Chicken Salad Croissant
(Roasted chicken salad with cranberry glaze in freshly baked croissant.
Served with sweet potato chips and a cherry apple slaw) ~ soooo good.

Then home and later to open our gifts by the tree in the Morning Room.

An amethyst pendant with a small ruby.  It goes with the amethyst and  ruby ring Mike designed for me last Cristmas.

And a new Camera!  Yes, it's Purple!  It's also wireless!

Christmas morning we opened Santa's gifts and those from Mike's sister and bil and from Laine.

Then on to Christmas dinner ~

The Beast 'slathered' with herb infused butter and ready to go into the oven.

The beast, post roast ~ or post roasting.

With a Jordan Cabernet, whipped potatoes and gravy, carrots in butter and brown sugar and crock pot creamed corn.   I will never eat creamed corn from a can again except in Corn Pudding!  I put the recipe in our Recipe Section.

RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/26/2014 8:04 AM)

Good Morning

Boy, first I'm too tuckered to talk, and  then you can't shut me up!  Ha!
We definitely had a White Christmas.  As the weather folk predicted, the snow started at 3 PM and kept going all night.  (A correct prediction from the weather folk?  Is it the end of the world?!?)   Even so, it doesn't look like we have all that much sticking to the ground ~ maybe 2 to 3 inches or so?   It's supposed to continue snowing all day today, though, so we may get some substantial totals.  Right now, we are looking at a "high" of 21 degrees.  Brrrrr.
Knowing it was supposed to start snowing at 3 and knowing that neither of us can walk on three snow flakes, I took the trash to the curb at 2 o'clock yesterday.  Everyone else had parties, and we had our trash out. Hope their guests just saw our pretty lights and not our pretty trash can.  Ha!
smiley9
I got it all confused about those Christmas cookies.  They were from Carolyn and not Laine.  Laine sent a box of wrapped gifts that arrived the day AFTER I sent her a thank you email for the cookies!   Well, Blush!   Of course that isn't my only screw up.  Oh, no.  When we were on the way to our Christmas Eve lunch I sent Marcela a text message asking how she was feeling.  Minutes later I got a text back from my great-niece Katie saying "I don't think this was meant for me."  Well BLUSH again!  Worse yet, it took me 15 minutes to write the dumb text with me being unbelievably slow at texting AND Mike driving on bumpy roads to The Briarwood in Golden.   Katie said "Copy and paste, Baby!"   I had no idea you could from a text message, but she assured me you could and told me how, so Marcela got her message and I didn't have to take a week to send it.

She's still really sick, but later she sent a text saying she had brought cookies and just left them on our doorstep!  Now we have all those that Carolyn sent PLUS a spectacular tray full of assorted cookies from Marcela.  The really bad news is ~~~ Mike is scared to death of them with Marcela being so sick.  I think he views them as a lovely tray full of Ebola!   I don't know how long germs cling to cookies, so now he as me worried.  We certainly have more than enough cookies with Carolyn's alone, but Marcela does make wonderful cookies too and these are beautiful.  Dare we eat them?  We sure don't want to get sick, but at the same time I hate to throw them out.  smiley72

I hope you are having the most wonderful Merry Christmas!

Love you.

RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/26/2014 11:13 PM)

We had a lovely, quiet, uneventful Christmas.  Not sure that
I liked that, lol.  But it was nice so I should not complain.
Your decorations are lovely and it looks like there were many
wonderful gifts.  The restaurant is gorgeous and your meals
sound wonderful.  We had a spiral ham (it was dry) and roast beef in a crockpot that was delicious and practically melted
in our mouth.  Cheesy potatoes, mini meatballs in bbq sauce, veggies and dip, bread bowl with spinach dip.  My cheese and
beef sausage tray and crackers and Joanne brought a cheese
and venison sausage tray. Chex mix and cut out cookies.  A Container full of goodies.  Someone left a plate of goodies at
our door too.  I had bought a container of chocolates from all
over the world.  No one ate them and most everything was left here.  Trying to avoid carbs has gotten very difficult.  I got a few pics and will try to post them later.  I was too tired to post last night.
Today I went out to Fauska's.  Louann had to come in to the bank and picked me up at 11.  As soon as we got to their house she made lunch.  Rissa, Matt and Samuel had spent the night so I go plenty of Samuel loving today.  Sadly Liam has an highly infectious lung infection, so Kirstie, Nick and Liam had to stay home.  The first Christmas with all the babies and they were not able to come.  They missed Christmas Eve with Louann's side of the family.  They missed serving the big Christmas Dinner to the public that they do every Christmas and they missed Christmas supper and night with Bruce's side of the family.  Everyone was pretty bummed.  Hoping and praying that he is well for the 3rd and 4th when we have our group get together.  So we were going to watch a movie...I gave Louann the name of 4 movies and Rissa picked Blended with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler.  I was fun.  But just as we were eating lunch her brother and his wife and son and her mom came.  Kurt and Joe, his so wanted haircuts and they had been at Louann's moms so she came along for the ride.  So Louann was busy cutting hair and Debbie and GG Nancy were hogging Samuel.  When they left, Nancy stayed and Louann would drop her off when she took me to get my INR done.  But we ran so
late that we did not leave till after 4.  So she dropped me off at the lab first and took her mom home and then came back for me.  I got home at 5 minutes to 5.  So I knew there would not be a call from the Anticoag Clinic today yet.  Not sure if there will be one tomorrow since it would have to come from Ambulatory Infusion and they are only open half a day.  So it may be Monday before I hear anything.  So again tonight I am
tired.
I did get some lovely gifts.  Mom gave me a lounger and a blouse, Bette Midler's new CD and a pair of snowcat socks.
Cute but I hate wearing socks and she knows that.  I say it often enough, lol. My bil David had my name and I had his.  I
gave him a gift card for fleet farm and he gave me a gift card for Barnes and Noble.  Not sure why...I told Joanne I wanted
Amazon.  Oh well.  Diane and I exchange gifts because of being the only unmarried sibs.  I gave her a photo storage system and of course the Nativity which she loved.  She said she wondered
if I remembered to do it.  She gave me a lounger also.  I knew that was coming as she had asked me what size I wore.  But she got me the kind I hate.  I will not tell her that and I will try and wear it.  But they are swing style and huge.  But mom says her can take the sides way in, so we will do that.  It is very pretty print and colors.  And Joanne surprised me with saying one of the gifts was for mom and I.  It was a indoor grill.  Very nice one so we can do brats and burgers, etc.  Brent gave mom and I all kinds of meats from Johnsonville (his dad works there).  Suz says she will grill us steaks for New Years Eve.  So that's cool.
Boy, I am pooped.  I will post pictures tomorrow.
Hugs,

RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/27/2014 7:40 AM)

No more Dreaming of a White Christmas ~ we got 8-9 inches!  It's currently 7 degrees, but we may get all the way up to freezing by afternoon!

What a difference having someone else shovel the walk and driveway AND someone else do the driving makes in my attitude toward snow.  Now I LIKE it ~ most of the time.  Little things like walking to the mailbox and taking the trash out are an issue, but otherwise snow is PRETTY.  When I was working and driving in it and having to shovel it I called it "That White Shyte!" LOL

We had a hot beef sandwich last night.  We were going to have Prime Rib Part Deux, but the hot beef sandwich sounded better, and it really was good.  Lots more left over.

I got as close to nothing done as you can come yesterday, and I enjoyed it.  Christmas Day and yesterday we watched all of last season's Downton Abby, one episode after another.  There's a name for that, but I can't remember what it is.  I just know I love doing it.  The new season starts the first week in January, so now we're ready.

Your Christmas dinner and snacks sounded absolutely wonderful!  Well, if you opted for the roast instead of the dry ham ~ lol.  Still, the ham will be great for sandwiches.  We have way too many assorted leftovers, too, and I know if I get on the scale I've gained 20 lbs!  Aarrgghh!  And yet . . . well, it's Christmas!

I'm so sorry poor Liam was sick and the family had to miss everything ~ and everyone had to miss THEM!  Bummer!  Infectious lung infection sounds bad ~ and scary.  I hope he will be ok, and soon.

Still great that you got some Samuel hugging time, though not as much as you should have.  I got pictures and videos of "my" babies, but I've never been able to snuggle any of them, and I suspect they will be beyond the snuggling stage when I do get to meet them ~~~ IF I do.  I love seeing the pictures and videos, but I do envy you the snuggle time.

I know everyone loved the gifts you gave because you always put so much thought into them.  Most of yours sounded great too, especially if you can "fix" the lounger Diane gave you.

What a great idea the indoor grill is for you and your Mom!  And a tray of meats too ~~ now there's your low carb!

I'll be looking forward to the pictures.

Hugs,

I am going to post some pics.  I really had a do nothing day

also, lol.  So really have nothing to say.  So, since a picture

is worth a thousand words, I will now become extremely wordy.

Did I show you Josh in his firefighter gear?  He is a volunteer

firefighter for the city of Mount Calvary.

First pic is mom.  Opening a gift.

Next is what was in the box.

She has a really nice wool car coat but it is so heavy she can hardly

move in it.  Next is me with the indoor grill.

And Diane with her new crockpot with a timer.  You can set it to come on

at a certain time.  That is wonderful for her so she can set it to start at

noon and be ready when she is done with work.

Next is Brent, Joanne, Jerry and down in the front is Travis.

Now a pic of Josh and Jason

A shot I got of Jason when he was clowning to make me laugh.

And last but not least the poor lonely tree missing all it's lovely gifts!

It is so sad as there is room for so many more ornaments than are

on it, lol.

My camera is really taking crappy pictures.  Many were way too

dark.  Suz was taking some for me and did not have the flash on.

That's it for today.  Tomorrow will be pics of the babes.

Oh, yeah, my INR was 3.2  continue same dose and recheck

in 3 weeks again.  I still think I need to go back to my original

dosage and all would be well.  But what do I know?

Hugs,

RE:DECEMBER CHAT
(Date Posted:12/28/2014 9:47 AM)

Good Morning.   We still have snow on the ground and we're going to get all the way up to just above freezing today, they say.  Then we're headed for the deep freeze and more snow!

I actually got a little work done yesterday.  Admittedly not much, but a whole lot more than I've been doing.

Last night we were in the Morning Room in the front of the house watching TV and an ambulance and a fire truck came up the street in front of our house with lights and sirens!   Because of the snow and very cold, we didn't want to step out onto the porch, and the arch way blocks our view from the inside, so we couldn't see where it went.  There are three houses beyond us on our street and then you can turn the corner and go up the block where more neighbors live one side of the street, and people we don't know across the street from them.   Not too much later, both came back down the street in front of us with no sirens but with the lights flashing.  Mike thought they were backing up but I couldn't tell.   I hope all of our neighbors are ok ~ and I don't know how to find out.

I had Mike just back out into the street in front of our house last night and take a picture of the house with the Christmas lights on and SNOW.  I think he got some good ones.  Now he needs to install all the WiFi stuff for my new camera.  If I do it and do something wrong, I'll be in trouble, so I don't even try, but I don't love having to wait for him to do it or nagging him.  Once it's installed, I will be able to transfer pictures from my camera to the PC without needing to use the card reader.  He already set it up so that I can transfer pictures from the camera to my phone.  Kind of cool, sometimes.  I love all my toys, but it's a bit of a pain to have pictures in multiple places.  I need ultimately to get them all into the PC so I don't end up losing one.

ANYWAY, that said, I'll share the snow pic as soon as he sets it up for me to transfer.  I can use the card reader and do it pretty easily, but I want to have some pictures that need transferring left on the camera so we can test it.

smiley3

Do Nothing days are great, especially after all the holiday and pre-holiday Do Too Much Days.

Josh looks wonderful in his firefighting gear!   He's such a special boy ~ or I really should say man.

I love the Christmas pictures!   You look wonderful, and it's fun to see the rest of the family.  I didn't see Diane tho.

I know whatcha mean about the tree looking bare when all the gifts are gone, even though it is still full of ornaments and beautiful.     Like you, we love the tree filled to overflowing with ornaments, but this year we didn't put nearly as many on as we could have either.  Still, your tree is beautiful, and so was ours.

Too bad your INR is still a bit high.  After doing this for so long, WE know how to adjust it.  It's too bad we have to wait for them to tell us what we know, or for us to tell them what they should know.    Mine was surprisingly low last time ~ 2.0 ~ but when I get the smallest cut I'm bleeding like a stuck pig.   Must have been the timing somehow.

Mike just called and said he would set up my camera WiFi as soon as I could give him my PC for a while.  I need to post in annnieM's group and then I'll take the PC to him in the other room and join him for coffee.   Are you laughing at Mike and me calling each other on the phone from different rooms?  LOL

I Love Snow ~ if I don't have to shovel it!!   It's a good thing I do, cuz more is on the way today and tomorrow, and man, is it COLD!   Double digits now (19) but heading for 8 below zero overnight!  Pity the poor animals if that's true.

Mike got my new camera all set  up.  Now the learning curve begins.  I have wirelessly transferred pictures from my camera to my laptop and to my iPhone, but the next time I tried to do it I had to learn all over again.  Ut-Oh.   Kinda cool, though

I think I have raised Lazy to an Art Form.  It's quite something to behold.    I did get the pre-wrapped Christmas boxes corralled and stored temporarily in the library, but they and the wrapping paper still need to go back downstairs.  At least they are out of sight now and except for the decorated tree, the room looks clean ~ sort of.

One of the cats has managed to track dirty paw prints down the dark cherry wood floor to the Great Room.  It looks awful and I really can't ignore it any longer, so I'm going to have to at least wash that part of the floor, if I don't do the whole thing like I should.  sigh. (& lol)

Have a great day!

Hello Dorothy
I do not know what happened to Diane, I could swear it was there, lol.  Will post some more as Diane has shared some she took.  I have the one of Diane already on Photobucket.  But while I am waiting to see if it will load I will tell you about tonight.  We got together with Carole and Gloria tonight and ordered from Ala Roma.  Mom got Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, Carole got Penne Con Pesto with Chicken, I got baked Mostaccioli with Sausage and Gloria got the Ala Roma Supreme Pizza.  The food was delicious.  I called the order in around 1pm to be delivered for 6pm.  It arrived at 5:45 and Carole had not arrived yet, lol.  But she was there shortly.  We enjoyed it.  We did put Charlie Browns New Year, etc on TV but talked so much we never watched any of it.  We exchanged gifts.  Carole gave me a Panera Bread gift card and a frilly scarf like the ones I have made in the past.  Gloria gave me an Amazon gift card.  They just built a Panera Bread here in town and are in the middle of building a Panda Express.  I like that place but we have a lot of Chinese Restaurants here in town....at least 5 so this will make 6.  Still, they do have wonderful Orange Chicken.  I had to add the Nook app to my iPad in order to get books with my Barnes and Nobel gift card from my sister.  I bought the first book and it was a 2 click thing and it ended up coming off my credit card.  I had to add the card to my account and then buy the books.  I got 4 Nora Roberts Novella's.  But now I cannot see anyway to enlarge the print on the screen so I may be shot.  But there must be a way so I will load a book and see how that goes.  Right now I am reading the latest Charlie Parke book on my Kindle app on my iPad.
OK, so here is Diane.

Joanne and the blanket she got from Diane who had her name.

This awful pic of me because it is the only one I found with Suzanne in it.

Various pics of Sailer and Finn as they meet lots of Santas all over the place.

We had a totally green Christmas...no kidding...some peoples lawns are actually green.
But it is getting very cold now, so will see if we get any snow in the net few days.
I would actually love some...just does not seem like the holidays without it.
Hugs,

RE:DECEMBER CHAT

Good Afternoon.

I'm late this morning.  Somewhat challenging night and I ended up sleeping until 7:30, then I got my shower and got dressed to face the day rather than signing in before getting up.   When I woke, it was 2 degrees below zero, with a 15 below wind chill.  Brrrrr.  But wait ~ tonight it's supposed to get down to 11 below ~ real temp.  I hate to think about the animals outside and God forbid any homeless people who can't find a place to stay.

It snowed lightly all day yesterday but I haven't heard any snow totals yet.  They didn't shovel here yesterday and so far haven't shoveled yet today.  I can well imagine some of the neighbors are having hissy fits.  Mike and me?  It's no big.  We don't plan to poke our noses out the door today.

Your Christmas Part Deux sounded great.  Wonderful food, great gifts and good friends.  Who could ask for more?

I've never bought books from B&N, so I can't help you.  I get some free ones from BookShout that I have to read on my Lap Top, and so far I haven't, and I have some iBooks, but I much prefer reading on my Kindle or iPad and that means Amazon to me.   I do need to branch out and not restrict myself so much.

The pictures are wonderful!   Diane looks like you, more than the other sisters do.

Joanne's blanket is really unique.  Did Diane make it ~ or have it made?

Josh is too adorable.   I want one  (Josh, not the shirt ~ lol)

You can't fool me.  I can tell that's Liam and not Fynn with Santa.  lol    What great pics of all the little ones!  They are all so adorable!  In the pic with Santa and Mrs Santa, Finn looks like he was about Christmased Out.  I kinda know the feeling.  Ho!Ho!Ho!

Thanks for sharing your Christmas with me.  It makes me smile!

I'd be glad to share some of our "White" with you.  It snowed all again day yesterday.   Keep warm!

Oops, lol. did not even realize I had written Finn on the pic.
Actually it is Liam on the left and Samuel on the right. And Finn does look bored to death with the whole thing, lol. Yes,
Diane and I do look a lot alike and we both have the thinning hair on top and top front of our heads. We hate it.
It is really cold here too but not quite as cold as you. It is 2 degrees above 0 right now and supposed to get colder.
I still have one more Christmas celebration this weekend at Fauska's. Not sure how I will handle it. We always spent the night Sat but I had planned on going home Sat night and coming back out Sun morning because of my C-pap. But now
Suz is going to a Hotel with an indoor water park at the Dells, with Travis and his friends. She would have been my ride back to Fauska's Sun morning. So I will have to stay over
night and go without my C-pap. It will be hard enough for
me to try and get myself, oxygen, presents, food and white
elephants out to Nan's car. She never helps me. I cannot manage the steps and carrying things more than once without a rest.  I can maybe see if Louann is working Fri and have her stop and take somethings with her. That is a good possibility. I am glad you thought of it, lol.
I forgot to tell you how much I love your necklace that Mike gave you.  So you get much opportunity to wear your jewels??
You always say all your wear are sweatshirts.
Well, I am calling it a night here.  Have not been to Facebook or my email yet....never going to manage all that in the nt hour or so, lol.
Hugs,
