Eesha Koppikar, more popular as the Khallas girl is finally moving towards her goal. For long she wanted to get out of her "item girl" tag and now she feels that the time has finally arrived! She is looking forward to films where she has a complete make over from her "item girl" image.

Says Eesha, "In the past few months I have been very focused and passionate about my work. I have got six releases lined up for this year and they are all of different genres. I want to go the Aamir Khan way. I want to do less films but with substantial roles in them."

Elaborating more about these forthcoming films of hers, Eesha says, "Ram Gopal Varma's Shabari has me playing a gangster lady, in Rajashri Productions Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi I am in a complete contrast to my Shabari's character.

In this one you shall see me in simple sarees, Salwar Kameez and Ghagra Choli's. For the first time I am a complete Indian in the film.

It is a simple love story set with a backdrop of music beautifully told.

Then there is Atul Agnihotri's Hello based on Chetan Bhagat's novel, One Night at a Call Center, in which I am playing the role of a mod girl working in a call centre and aspires to be a model.

And finally there is Subhash Ghai's Hello Darling which is an out and out comedy that revolves around three girls Gul Panag, Celina Jaitley and me. It has Javed Jaffrey playing the villain. It is loosely based on the Charlies Angels theme."

Eesha feels, "Shabari has been the most satisfying experience for me as an actress. The film was complete long back but its release has been on hold for quite some time now.

It is directed by debutant director Lalit Marathe who has written films for Ramuji like Bhoot etc. I am in a completely deglamorised role in this one.

I really feel sad that a film like this is stuck. I had worked so hard on the film. I did not comb my hair for days nor waxed my hands and legs.

I learnt how to run the flourmill since the role required me to do it. I lived in the slums for few days to get the hang of the role. The film has also been shot on real locations. Lalit had worked hard on the script of the film."

"I am so impressed by his work that I have been requesting him to write more such hard hitting subjects and cast me in them." Eesha adds before signing off.
