 For the music launch of his new film, Aashayein , John Abraham is going to not only be an actor representing his movie, he is also going to take part by singing! He will be performing the song ‘Ab Hai Ujala' and it will be the first time he has ever sung in front of an audience. John said, "Initially I was hesitant, but I liked the idea. I am not that great a singer but that's all right I guess. I will make a sincere effort." He has been working hard for his debut as singer and composer Salim is very positive about his performance. "John has an ear for music and since the song is so inspirational, I'm sure people will appreciate him whether he hits the right note or not," he said. The launch will also have Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal and Zubin taking the stage to perform songs from the soundtrack. Incidentally Aashayein, was scheduled to release on June 20th but the date has now been pushed back. Producer Elahi Hiptoola, said: "We did feel that we needed a couple of weeks extra, what with John's brother's marriage. We're moving to July, probably the first week. Aashayein is a film that needs careful nurturing. We don't mind waiting a bit. But we don't want the release to go wrong." Looks like movie goers will have lots to choose from that weekend because also scheduled for release is Love Story 2050 with Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na starring Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza. We look forward to hear if John can carry a tune and to see Aashayein when it hits theaters!
